10 weeks (whatever), bleeding (seen it before), only when I sleep? (ahhhh)

Ok so I know there is about a million pages on pregnancy and bleeding (actually about 5,450,000) but I am a little perplexed at my situation

Ok so I had a bleed at about 8 weeks.. totally freaked us out as it happened over the weekend (why does everything happen over the weekend ) we had a scan on the monday and all turned out to be fine and they couldn't see where the bleed came from but techician personage said that she could see another little area of blood in the uterus which may or may not expell.. cool

So I turned 10 weeks and went off to see my obs for the first time.. "hey how are you, how is the pregnancy, which hospital do you want to go to, when was your last pap smear"? "Uhhhhhh.. (mumbled voice) maybe like (cough) 7 years ago" Raised eyebrow.. "ok well, I could do one for you right now.. " Ok cool.

So I have pap smear and the next day BIG BLOOD WITH BIG CLOT.. Panick, call obstetrician.. "It's fine" he says "probably just from the pap smear" "Ok I say, "but a big 4cm clot??" he says it's hard to know for sure but watch the blood to see if it starts going brown and if it starts up again to call back. I notice that it does start going brown throughout the day to almost nothing by the evening... Good to bed.

Next morning get up go straight to toilet phew nothing there, walk around, feel something, go to toilet... BRIGHT RED BLOOD! Damn! Panick, repeat above (now it's the weekend - of course) by the time obs calls back its easing to brown again (hmmm). He tells me it should be fine and to come in first thing monday.

Monday.. well you know wake up, blood, go off to get scan. Everything in scan is fine! Lil guy is ok, sac is ok, lining is good etc. His scan is not as big as the other one so don't know if that 'blood' that was in my uterus has indeed expelled or not. It's back to minimal brown stuff again. It's hot - I go have an afternoon nap and guess what.. Bright red blood when I wake up!! Ok what the...??

Thought I might jump on her to see if anyone has had this happen - I mean what am i doing to myself while I am sleeping?? At first I thought it was just the acumulated blood throughout the night 'coming down' like when you have your period but 1. Its always bright red again (after fading to nothing) and 2. after a 45 min nap?? Is it possible the position I am sleeping is... pressing or shifting something so it keeps re-bleeding?

Would appreciate any thoughts, angles, ideas or jokes?

Firstly Congrats, im not sure if we have met yet but we can be in the same BB group! Im due 8th aug
I dont know what i can say for the bleeding except bubs is keeping you on your toes, I hope it settles down, You got me stumped on the 45 min nap.....
BUT if your ob says dont stress too much about it i wouldnt u may do more harm than good.
