im almost 8 weeks and showing already,scares me some what!!
i was very compact last time bearly looked pregnant!!

so when did you start showing and did you end up been much bigger second time because you shoed earlier? or end up about the same??

This is my second pregnancy and I felt like I was showing (a little already at 6-7 weeks) now I am 13 weeks and I am definately showing....like I was when I was about 5 months pregnant the first time!! You pop out so much sooner, I call my belly "the twins" because I think it's huge, but I am pretty sure there is only one in there.

I have been told by other mums that even though you get bigger sooner that they weren't any bigger at the end of their pregnancies.

With my second prenancy, even though I only got to 11 weeks it was really obvious that I was pregnant. I started showing about 7 weeks and by 9 could no longer fit in my work clothes.
We'll see with this one but I'm assuming it will be similar or even earlier (eek) since they pregnancies are only 10is weeks apart.

with DD - about 26 weeks before it was noticible to outsiders (i noticed about 21 - thats when i cold suck my belly in as hard as i could and it still stayed there)

With this pregnancy - about 22 weeks - although some people still dont notice now at 24 weeks

Jols - I was showing at around 8-9 weeks too this time around! Definately don't have the strong tummy muscles to hold it all in like I did with Izzy! Having said that I was quite biggish with her, but even bigger this time around! Enjoy hun!

My pregnant belly was obvious to others at 15 weeks . I find it funny when we are pregnant we cant wait for that day we look fatter LOL

AJP, I kid you not, I was showing by 3 weeks with DS2. DH knew I was pg just from my tummy, before I was even 4 weeks!! And it wasn't just him - someone else congratulated me on being pg before I even knew!! I hadn't done a test yet or anything!!

Don't worry too much though, I still didn't get bigger over all than with DS1 (although I might have if he hadn't come 4 weeks early!).

Yeah I started showing at around 9 weeks with this one...argh, it was really scary! Now my belly is huge but I have put on less weight this time around (6.5 kgs at 19 weeks last time, only 3.5 kgs this time). I guess the old story of everything being pre-stretched is true...haha!

I was in mat clothes by 8wks with my second pg, but I actually ended up being smaller in the tum than the first time by the end of it though. But I was a different shape and she was smaller anyway.

I am 8wks into my third pregnancy and already showing. I didn't show earlier with either of my boys (20wks with first and around 18wks with no2). Hopefully this means I am having a girl!!!

seriously though Jols i'm 10 weeks and look 6 months! i was showing at 6 weeks, although you could mistake it for muffin top.

I was in mat clothes by 11 weeks the second time...I thought it was mainly bloat from the IVF stim cycle, but looks like it's pretty common.

I was definitely bigger second time around, carried completley differently. Put on the same amount of weight thought, just looked bigger!

i was about 20 weeks when i noticed a definate bump
At work clients didnt ask me until about 26 weeks straight out if i was pregnant(i guess they thought it was just extra or from DD).

Jols, I was showing before I was 4 weeks the second time around! Seriously, DH knew I was pg from my tummy, and I'd had a few people comment on the fact that I was pg again (again, from looking at me) before I even knew myself. In fact I didn't think I was LOL!! But then I got the BFP so obviously everyone else was right!

Sorry to thread highjack, but I was wondering (and this is a completely vain question) but are there any larger ladies out there and when did you start showing?

I'm about a size 18 and I'm paranoid that people will just think I'm fat (okay fatter than I am) and not pregnant! How will I know if I'm showing as I already have a sizeable belly!

Ruth08, I am in normal clothes a size 16 and I already look like i'm about 6mths (I am only 8 1/2wks). This is my third though. In my other two pregnancies I didn't show till about 15 -20wks. But I think it all depends on your body.
