What Other Costs Can I Expect???

I am just doing some calclations trying to figure out what sort of costs I might incur after the baby is born. I have already facted in nursery equipment, clothes, etc.

Can anyone tell me what sort of costs I might incur after the baby is born?? (I am hoping to breastfeed and use cloth nappies - should minimise costs somewhat)

What about injections etc?? Visits to health nurse - Are there costs involved?

    I have private health insurance

    hi childondaway

Congrats!! You sound like you have most things covered... i dont know about private health cover- but every time i have been to dr for ds it has been bulkbilled- immunisation costs are free and your health checks are also..

The only unexpected expenses occur if you need medication (things i have bought are Infants Friend and stuff for thrush)

Also baby wipes!! lol when ds does a poo i need to use lots!! And a good bum cream!!

Umm i cant think of much else- we were given so much stuff by people that ds is 6months old and i still have bath wash, nappy creams and stuff i havent even used yet!! The only thing i regularly have to buy is wipes and nappies (use sposies here) and food now he is trying solids- other than that he has been pretty darn cheap!!

    Good luck!
