Well it all started on Wed night when I went to the loo before bed, during the wiping process (sorry if TMI) I noticed a decent smear of bright red blood on the toilet paper. I also had a very sharp cramping pain in my lower abdomen. Spent a very stressful night worrying and visited the doctor for a scan in the morning. There was no further bleeding or cramping at that point. Everything was fine with the scan, baby had a strong heartbeat and seemed to be going fine.
I'm still waiting on results from doctor from the scan but have also been having some discolouration of my cervical mucus without cramping for a few days. Has been on and off since finding out I was PG but very very faint discolouration. Since the scare there has been more and darker mucus. If I had not fallen PG, then I would be due for AF at this point.
So, my question is... is it possible/normal to have these symptoms without any problems further down the track?
That must have been very stressful for you. It is normal for some women to experience some level of bleeding at the times they would normally have AF during their PG - especially the 8 and 12 week marks and to go on to have very healthy babies. It's great to hear that the scan showed positive results for you!
