    Question Chicken Q

    Hey

I took some chicken breast out of the freezer yesterday and let it defrost in the fridge. Was meant to have it for dinner last night but circumstances changed (damn dogs) and I didnt end up cooking dinner. Can I still cook them up tonight or would it be best just to bin it?

Thanks Tanya. I think I am going to bin it too, well first of all I will chuck it back in the freezer cause bin day is friday and I dont want maggots in my bin!! I used to work in a major supermarket and I know all the tricks of the trade, lol. The last thing I want is to make myself sick.

Yep, give it to the doggies. They have already forgotten about being naughty yesterday so there isnt much use punishing them now for it.

Dogs eat rotten meat and bones all the time so a bit of "questionable" chicken wont affect them in the slightest.

I always smell chicken breasts before i cook them unless they come from the butcher as i know his are always fresh. I've had the same as Tanya before and brought supermarket chicken and it's been off.
Also check to see how pink it is that will tell you also how fresh it is.

I've eaten chicken before once it's been de-frosted for a day. But if you are unsure give it to the dogs.
