when is breech position a 'problem'?

Hi - I had an OB appt today and he did a scan of bubs - it is sitting breech atm. I know that at this stage it is nothing to worry about at all, as they move around so much... but it got me thinking, I have forgotten at what pt it is a 'problem' or when it is less likely the baby will move...
i knew all of these details last time LOL!

Well, It really depends I think. I remember with Harry at least that he didnt turn around until a few days before I was due - 2 days before I went into labour.

Then again, even if bubby doesnt turn, its not exactly a "problem". They come out backwards all the time. Its just a problem to the health care providers and thats when it becomes a problem for you.

I think you still have something like 17-18 weeks before they will really start worrying about it.

It's only ever a problem for the Ob You've got ages to get bubs into a better position but it does pay to be aware of it and make sure you do things that are favourable for it to turn kwim? But my guess is that this babe will know what to do when it needs to do it.

I would say most bubs are around this stage.
Ive got my 28 wk apt next week and for the past 2 out of 3 pregnancies ive been given the 'baby is breech' tallk along with a list of donts and do (e.g Dont sit slumped on the lounge at night, sit with back straight, DO get on all fours once a day for 5 mins to get bub moving etc). Im expecting it next week too.....and none of my babies have been laboured breech...

Good luck...man your flyingggggggggggg along !

Thanks girls!!! i wasnt really worried about it, and my OB hardly noticed... when i had my scan last week the head was in my pelvis!! i thought no baby dont go there yet LOL!!!
I guess i will just do things to keep it going where it should (DH will love the all 4's, better make sure i do that when he is out!!!) and hope for the best. i am sure it will know what to do when the time comes...
thanks for the advice.. i just didnt remember any of this from last time.

WOW MBear - 28 weeks - soooo exciting!!! I cant believe it!
