Smile When is the ideal time of pregnancy to have a baby shower?

    Hi ladies,

I'm just curious when you had your baby showers during your pregnancy or when is recommended?

    Hi Curlygirly
I had mine about 6 weeks before DS was due to be born. I don't know if this is recommended, but it worked for us I still had enough energy to have a good time, and enough of a belly to call it a day and have everybody understand ITMS.
Congrats and have a great time!

I had mine at thirty weeks, so I had time to see what I had, and still needed .... Also don't forget peoples birthdays or big occasions that might happen at the same time.... So everyone you want to come, can attend.

I was 37+ weeks at mine and I was very uncomfortable but that was last week and it was that hot 44 degree day which made it that way.

I had mine (only did the 1 with first baby) at 35+3 weeks.

I worked with mainly women at the time (except for my boss) I ended up kinda using it as a fairwell party - I'd finished up work the day before - and they were all pretty good friends too. In my case I also had to wait til some family got back from holidays, and waited til after all the easter and long weekends around April/May, otherwise I'd probably would have had it a couple of weeks earlier (as I had a feeling I was going to have DS1 earlier). DS1 was born at 37+1weeks.

Most other baby showers I'd been to were after 35-36weeks too (and come to think of it...most of them ended up having their baby around 10days later)

we had mine at 24 weeks....

but we have issues and wernt sure when and if id end up in hospital on bed rest and it was a bit of a celebration for making it to 24 weeks as well....

to be honest it worked well becasue i was totally knackered after it so there is no way i would have managed to have it at say 34weeks.....

Thanks ladies for letting me know. If everything goes to plan I'm going to do mine at 7 months, that way I can still be a host and also have the (hopefully glow and energy while being preg

Had mine about 36 weeks for DD! Had a smaller "celebration" for DS when I was around 38 I think!

Completely OT, when I saw this post on tapatalk it looked like it was titled "When is the best time in pregnancy to have a baby?"

Thought I'd better check it out!

I had three... one at 22 weeks, a shared one with a colleague who was 36 weeks. A bit too early, really, but it was two or three weeks before I stopped working, so reasonable timing.
One at 28 weeks, which was fun and good timing.
One at 30 weeks which was super ace, and perfect timing, although I just about laughed the baby out there and then!
