    Wind in First Trimester

Hi ladies. I'm nearly 6 weeks pregnant and just in the last two days have started getting shocking wind pains! Actually, its a cross between a period pain and gas! I'm thinking this is probably everything stretching as it should, but wonder if others have experienced this. This is our fourth pregnancy - the first three resulted in early angel babies, so we're a little touchy about aches & pains this time round. Tis always easier to cope with aches and pains if you know others have been there and survived All suggestions and guidance gratefully received.

Oh yeah! I had the worst gas pains in the first tri (well still get them to be honest). Apparently de-gas is safe to take while pregnant but check with your GP or pharmacist just to make sure.

ooh yeah - my first tri was very gassy, and well it's started again in the last few weeks and is now worse than ever I haven't taken anything for it and I've found certain foods (fresh fruit & vege juices especially!!!!!) make it worse than others. I've even grossed out my DH a few times and that is saying something!

Good luck - I'm sure this Bub will be safely in your arms before you know it!!! Felt just like yesterday I was nervously sweating it out in the first tri now I'm starting to pack my labour bag. Huge Hugs!!!

I was exactly the same, then it cleared up for a while and now it's back with a vengance!! We should earn how to harness it for re-newable energy or something. There's money to be made :P

Oh yeah, I had bad gas pains for petty much the first trimester. De-gas was good. You can get it at the supermarket, and I think it says it's safe for pregnant women on the box.
