Wink Hormonal Moments - Love them - Share Yours

I just thought this would be a good place to share some giggles over those fabulous hormonal moments.

I had my first real one this morning. I was searching on Ebay for some nice quotes, something loving and special that I could put on my girls walls.

I read this one and immediately fell apart:

"If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together there is something you must always remember. You are Braver than you Believe, Stronger than you seem and Smarter than you think. but the most important thing is even if we're apart I'll always be with you in the Heart - Winnie the Pooh"

    I was really crying uncontrolably.

The cute part was Dh saw me and said "whats wrong"

    Me - "Nothing"
    DH - "No, whats wrong"
Me - "Its nothing really, just a hormonal moment"
DH - "What do I do?"
Me - "Nothing, its ok really it is"
DH to DD - "Go give mummy a hug"

    (what a sweetheart)

SO I know I am not the only one who has blubbered over something thats not really blubber worthy. So dish up and we can all have a good giggle or have "awwwwwwww" moments.

    Aw that's so sweet Nae

I teared up like a baby over the WorkCover ad, where the kid is waiting for his dad to come home. I started crying halfway through and DH said "what are you crying about?" I blubbered "his dad's not coming home!" Then I cried more when it had a happy ending lol.

You know you just made every pregnant woman who reads this cry, don't you Nae?

When I was pregnant with DD, DH was trying to do something and needed me to help him, but I was right in the middle of cooking dinner. We were having gnocchi. Finally frustrated with his whingeing I went begrudgingly to help only to come back a few minutes later to very over cooked gnocchi...when I strained it it was mashed potato.....I cried for two hours....DH got no dinner lol.

this song makes me all teary at the moment:

Don't you know who you are?
You are more than the choices that you've made,
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes,
You are more than the problems you create,
    You've been remade.

'Cause this is not about what you've done,
But what's been done for you.
This is not about where you've been,
But where your brokenness brings you to

This is not about what you feel,
But what He felt to forgive you,
And what He felt to make you loved.

Most embarassing one was at work - during my annual performance review with my boss! And what was weird was that she was actually saying some pretty cool stuff about how I'd had a good year and she really appreciated all my hard work etc, which set me off crying my eyes out and laughing at myself at the same time. Thankfully she'd had kids of her own and knew all about hormonal preggo moments

Funniest was when I stormed off in a teary huff and sobbed my little heart out because I'd burned the pizza I was making. Another DH going without dinner....while having to comfort me

Ok. I've had my fair share of hormonal moments.... Promise you won't laugh hard ok? Lol...

Well the first one I had... I was eating salt and vinegar chips (craving) and my dog came up and pinched one right out of my hand lol... I was in tears.

The others have revolved around movies. And my DH laughing at me whilst I'm crying over nothing. Note to all hormonal prego women... Don't watch... Cool runnings (part where they crash the cart and get up walk over the finish line) 50 first dates, gnomeo and Juliet... Oh deary me...

There was one other time. I was busting to go to the loo and DH missed the turn off. I cried and he laughed... Then I laughed. Bad move when you've really gotta go lol

OK, so I put this down to hormones....

When I was pg with DS I was at my sister's house with the extended family. There was a documentary on telly about a school for vision impaired children. They focussed on a little boy of about 4 years who was completely blind. They were interviewing his parents and cut to footage of the little bloke sitting on a seesaw - backwards. All I could think was, 'Omg, the poor little bloke is blind, he doesn't know he's facing the wrong way!'. And it appealed to my hormonal sense of humor. I laughed until I cried, rolling around on the floor with my big belly, absolutely unable to stop. I laughed until I wet myself a little and choked and had snot running out my nose. While everyone stood around and looked at me and wondered why I was laughing. My family still talk about it.

Please don't hate me - I know there is nothing funny about being vision impaired and quite likely the little bloke just liked to ride backwards. But at the time... funniest thing I had ever seen.

I cried a lot when it came to food.

Red rooster forgot my chips in my dinner meal. I was so upset that I rang, complained over the phone while sobbing, and then went in to the restaurant, a bawling mess to recieve my chips. The manager couldn't apologies any more, haha.

And I Aldo began crying uncontrollably in Coles, when dh went to get me some almond magnums, and bought me the mini version. I was so upset that they weren't big enough. Hahaha.

    No wonder I'm overweight!!

My last day at work. My boss brought out a little cheese platter he'd prepared for us to snack on and 'party' while we worked. I cried like a little girl, lol. Over cheese. I was crying and laughing hysterically all at once. Any time the cheese came near me or was mentioned I bawled. Very entertaining for the other staff! And I just got teary remembering the cheese incident. But I'm exhausted now, not hormonal.

I also cried when DP told me a friend of ours and his entire family was praying for me when I was really in trouble after the birth. I'm not even slightly religious, but was so touched that people I didn't know were praying- just for me. *sniffle*

Ok... Add casper to the list. Can't get through that movie without balling my eyes out lol and DH laughing at me instead of comforting me... How nice hey?

Oh dear. I just got all teary watching Neighbours, when Callum gave his mum a handmade card for her birthday. I just can't wait til DD can do that. Then I got worse when he trotted off to make her a cup of tea lol.

    Some of these are hilarious

I've told this story on here a few times, but when I was pregnant with Moo I set out to make a banana loaf with lemon icing for DH's lunchbox. I made the banana loaf but when it came time to ice it I discovered I had no icing sugar...I cried like someone had died, I was hysterical and could not be comforted. DH offered to get me some more icing sugar but in my opinion it was all ruined! All DH could do was just let me go while he rubbed my back, everytime he said the words 'icing sugar' I'd cry even harder He ended up being late for night shift. That night and the next day whenever I remembered I'd start bawling again!

It was a long time before anyone said 'icing sugar' in this house again!

This isn't a pregnant hormonal one, but I was badly PMSing for one of the first times in my life...

I hadn't eaten all day and most of the day before. My own choice, btw, nothing had appealed to me so I hadn't had anything. So I was starving. My mum offered me a Snickers. I practically yelled "yes!!!" - then she did the worst thing EVER EVER EVER IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND. She told me she was just popping to the milk bar to buy them. You'd have thought she had murdered my puppy in front of me and was wearing its body as a hat*, the way I reacted. I screamed and pretty much threw a tantrum because I had to wait the extra ten minutes for my chocolate. When she finally got back and I was sulking in my bed, she handed me the Snickers and I cried again, this time out of sheer joy. At least now I can laugh, but oh my god, that was so upsetting for me!

    * I had no puppy, I'm just saying someone absolutely awful and horrendous to make my point
