Wording for come meet baby bbq

Did not have a baby shower and have decided to have a meet and greet after bun is born.

Do not want presents and would love for them to bring a dish. I am however looking for what to write on the invite, it is proving tricky as we do not know the sex. It will be a casual drop in, have a drink, meet bun ect..

Even a suggestion to some beautiful ideas for invites.

    Any ideas?

Why not simply say 'we would love to invite you to a welcome home baby and mummy BBQ. We would like our baby to experience the warmth of love around them. As we won't be home long before we would like ask that everyone bring a plate along to share with our guests.

I can't think of the whole thing but just made up a little bit of a poem to get you started.

    Whether it's a little miss
    Or a little guy
    No need for a present
    Nothing to buy

Is the food to freeze for later use?

ETA - have no idea why I thought you said poem but there you go anyway

For the invitation do a photo of your pregnant belly printed on thick paper, overlay it on another piece of paper with a flap cut out that can be lifted up. Under the flap you can something like:

    "Come and meet me!"
    All the details....
No gifts please but a plate of food to share would be a great help.
