    worried

Lastnight i was having these pains after i was whinging that nothing was happening yet and i got scared. Stupid i supose. I have been getting strong pain on and off and i am not sure if there BH or not. These pains nearly make me cry and also the very bad back pains as well. I have just had enough of being pregnant and wish my waters would break. Do you think labor is near????

Hi - sounds like it could be ....

Try to refocus and not be scared - if you started having some contractions - the fear can make you go backwards in your progress - focus on meeting your little one soon and being excited about the birth.

Fear can make dilated women even close up again - if it happens again try a glass of wine and long calming bath and rest if you can early on.

Good luck and home to see the birth announcement shortly.

Sami is right. Relax and go with it. If you rest and they stop, it's probably BH, otherwise it might be early labour. If you are active it might speed it up. Don't worry about waters breaking, that can happen at any time - for me I was fully dilated before they broke (and even then my ob ruptured them artificially!). Best of luck hun.

Awww babe, have a little cry if you want. It will relieve some tension, and know they are tears of relief because I think you are on your way hun!

Don't focus on waters breaking, it certainly doesn't signal labour has started. Mine always broke as I was pushing bubs out. As soon as contractions make me feel a little flustered I know I'm gonna be holding a baby soon, so try to welcome the pain a little if you can..

I know EXACTLY how you feel. Last night was absolutely awful for me. Poor DH was running around like a headless chicken, keeping DS occupied and preparing him for bed while trying to get me heat packs and doing back massages. Now I think about it, it is quite funny. Sorry for hijacking.

Sounds like you are getting very close. Any day now you are going to hold your baby. I agree with the others, try to relax. I found a lovely warm shower helps. A bath is also great if you can get back out. Maybe listen to some music, even the music you plan to listen to during the birth.

    Good luck.
