    Worried for nothing?

I'm getting a lot of pain under my bump. Like contraction pain but it is constant. Very sharp pain, especially if i move. My belly also dully aches all over. It feels different to stretching pains though.

I can't call my homebirth midwife cause she lives 3 hours away and i dont really want to get checked out at hospital i am booked into because it's 40 minutes away and DH has to get up at 4am tomorrow for work.

I'm not sure if i'm worrying for nothing or not. I just don't feel right.

Oh Antheia I hope you are worried for nothing

It sounds like you need to talk to a medical person though, even if only for your peace of mind. Can you call the hospital and ask to speak to someone in Maternity? Or call your homebirth midwife just to chat over the phone?

I hope it settles down soon hun and turns out to be something quite benign.

    Hey there Hon
Why dont you just give your carer a call and seek some advice on the phone- perhaps she may have a better idea

could they be BH? Have you tried having a lay down or a warm bath- maybe that will help.
or even some panadol if you are so inclined to do so

i got BH from about 15 weeks with my twins and have felt some little BH allready i think- the belly tightening and oooh for a sec- the settle if i stop!

if you are still worried , but cant get checked out today- perhaps you can go in tommorow and get checked out

i am sure someone like Scmickers or Alan might be able to help you more

    hang in there

I was starting to get painful contractions for a while there but things seem to be ok now. I have been having BH but they were not painful and usually aren't until im around 25ish weeks so perhaps they are just painful earlier on. Hopfully it doesn't come back!

    Hi Ant,
Glad its settled down. I had something very similar with DD, and it too went away the following day. From memory, I rang the OB and they assured me all was ok. Its probably bub pushing on a nerve or something.

ive had the same thing on and off this pregnancy. i know its scary hun but keep positive. Ur body knows what its doing. Not every day it grows a human!! lol.

i would only get really worried if the pain was agonising as it might mean a UTI or its accompanied by bleeding/mucus plug.

i hope that helps! put ur feet up and relax ok xxoxoxo
