    Would you buy...?

    a Breast Pump from ebay?

I am thinking about getting one from ebay as I don't want to spend to much. I used a friends last time, sterilising all the bits of course. She is using it at the same time this time...

    what do you think?

I guess it's the same as hiring one from ABA which is what I did. They're bloody expensive (the good ones) so why not. As long as you sterilise it and it's in good working order (send it back if it's not) then go for it!

personally i wouldnt - what if so many of those little pieces were missing? Its just that i have had a few dissapointing buys from ebay in the past.
I had a manual one which i thought was great and wouldnt bother spending extra $$ on an electric one next time

It is just an avent hand pump one! All in working order- i have used it with both my girls, in saying that though i noticed the other day when cleaning out my cupboards that i still have some of the inner workings of it that i havent even used - i didnt realise it came with an extra of some of it.
The plastic of it is scratched from being cleaned so much - it just makes the plastic look not 100% clear in some spots but i never had any dramas with it.

Is that the sort of thing you were looking for? If you were i would be happy to work something out if you like - could email you some pics of it and all the bits and pieces. I have HEAPS of Number 1 & 2 avent teats and the small bottles and sealing disks too, i am still using the bigger bottles and the bit which the teat goes through (the white ring) so wouldnt have them for you at this stage.

If you are interested in having some pics sent though let me know and i will get some done tonight - this might get me organised to pop it on ebay if you arent keen anyway!

Mmm, I think I would, I mean you'll be sterilising it anyway, right?

I would go electric every time, but I HATE manual pumping with a passion! If you go electric, check out the Medela Swing.

I bought a small manual pump off ebay for about $35, and it works great. So good that I am looking to get an electric one off ebay too.

I'm trying to get as much as I can off ebay.... I love ebay too so its not making it very difficult. I just got a baby harness/carrier for $22 and would like to get a pump as well. I found that perserverance is the key with some things - pumps being one of them - because a lot of people seem to want them.

    Short answer - yes!!

I would def go electric because it saves time and easier. I use a hadn one though and it's quite easy - just slower. If you're buying a hand one they're not as expensive.

I got mine on ebay.. was only used once or something but yeh looked brand new. Its a manual Avent Isis. I was unable to BF Jesse so hopefully will this baby. Ive heard alot of people swear by them.
But if i had the money, would get electric for sure.
