    Question Your thoughts........

Unfortunately i havent had any luck with any replies in the 3rd tri so i thought i'd post this here as well.

Well i've read it can be a great settling technique for when bubs is born if i play her music box to her while shes in 'baking away'.

So the last 3 nights i have done this, It goes for 20 minutes and i've been doing it everynight. For the first minute she's quite still but for the remaining time (usually 18 minutes) she moves constantly and even after its finished shes quite wriggly and moving alot. I never tried this with DD#1 so its new to me.

So my question is do you think her moving around is her liking it or hating it, DP says she prob hates it and she's moving around so much cause shes trying to block out the noise.
Has any-one else tried this technique and if so did you bubs move lots??

    Interesting question!!!

I know that we got a new Ministry album when I was pregnant with DS and we listened to it nice and loud all the time. When he was born and would scream in the car we would crank up that particular cd and he would fall asleep!! lol

Don't know if it was a coincidence though.... he LOVES music now - especially all our metal - he's a little headbanger!!! lol

Im not sure if it means your bub loves it or hates it! I'd say she's definitely stimulated by it though, one way or another!

I listened to John Butler all the time while i was pregnant as he is my favourite and now my DS loves it when i put him on in the car. Lucky, cos he's going to grow up listening to it too!

Not sure about the movements either but i used to alwasy listen to the same music on my drive to work when preg with DD#1 and then once she was born i would play it to her when she was upset and she would calm down instantly!

Wow i wasnt sure if this whole thing would work but it's looking as though it will. I't her music box im playing to her so it'll be a bedtime thing and hopefully like all your kids she'll settle nicely. DD#1 was a nightmare sleeper, she'd wake up instantly if i put her down or she'd scream her lungs out it i tried getting her to go to sleep by herself. Now shes a perfect sleeper and has been since she was 1.

Thanks for sharing all your thoughts/stories.
