not been here for a long time - I just had a positive HPT and blood test today (HCG 167) but the clinic has told me I have low progesterone and oestrogen and I have been bleeding on and off for the last 12 hrs. I had 2 embryos transferred on the 13 days ago. I've increased the crinone and taking oestrogen tablets too. Whats my chances of a viable pregnancy? The nurse at the clinic didnt sound very positive.
Firstly , this can be such a confusing time but I couldnt read and not post. I am no expert on this and I dont want to upset you any further but from my experience I think the viability will depend on whether the pregnancy is struggling because levels are low or whether the levels are low because the pregnancy is unviable (I hope that makes sense). Obviously this isnt an answer but it might help you make sense of whats going on. I hope this hasnt sounded rude or uncaring x
Well still waiting on results of my second BT - discovered I wasnt using enough pessaries as directed (only one at night when I should have been using 2 and my progesterone level was 10.6, although my HCG was 167, I'm still hoping for a viable pregnancy. I have stopped spotting and bleeding since increasing the pessaries (only really spotted and cramped for 12 hours apart from the odd twinge). Fingers crossed that my HCG has increased - still 'feel' pregnant!
