HCG - scared they are too low

    hi all
I am seeking a little bit of reassurance. I have previously had two miscarriages and have been trying for baby no. 1 for over 3 years. I have age against me so i keep getting told. well we did our 7th iui two weeks ago and finally have out BFP. I am 17dpo today. I had my first bt on 15 dpo and it came back at 44 and then again today at 76. Should I be worried. I really want this pregnancy to come through. I am going for another bt on Monday but will be worred about the levels all weekend. Has anyone had any success with low level hcgs?

    Hi Babyjo,

I have seen that question here alot. There have been success stories with low hcg. I am not one of them but I am sure there will be others along soon who are more knowledgable about these things

    Big hugs,

at 15dpo (on IUI number 7 coincidentally!) my HCG was 26. it doubled in about 2.5 days. sounds similar to what is happening to you. that low starting level is now a very noisy 6.5month old!

the starting number doesn't matter - it's how it climbs. generally they say doubling in 48hours BUT,i've done a lot of reading (as you do in these circs) and that is what they HOPE happens - it's not a rule. many women have levels that rise as little as 66% in 48hours and still go on to have successful pregnancies

with an IUI, conception date isn't guaranteed. we assumed it would happen on the wednesday (day after IUI) - from all the scans we had, it didn't happen til the saturday or sunday - which makes sense with us having a girl!
