Hi all, OMG am I shattered the parties are taking their toll. Campbell feel asleep yesterday so he was still awake at 9pm and has already started grumping this morning, oh well at least he is going to daycare and can grump at them. And Xavier screamed all afternoon and evening until he cried himself to sleep, because his is so over tired. Oh well daycare concert and party today and a birthday party tommorrow and then a break from the parties for a few days.
Hope everyone is doing well and their bubbas are playing the game at thisd busy time of year.

Hope you are all doing well today. Unfortunately it's a very sad day here. A friend's husband was killed early this morning while cycling. He was a very careful, experienced cyclist. News reports are saying the driver that hit him was over the limit. So unfair. They have 3 boys aged 9-13.
When your hubbys come home tonight, make sure you give them extra hugs & tell them you love them.
It's all so unfair.
Sorry for the downer, just very shocked & sad.

Kelly, how's Tara going after her stint in hossy with the dreaded daycare disease. I hope she's better, sounds nasty. I don't have to ask if you're starting to show, you're a baby growing champ! Hope all is well with you and Tara is letting you have rests when you need. The heat some days is crazy hey. I've been through storms in Adelaide and Melbourne last week that were like North Queensland wet season storms. Dunno what's going on.

Barney...I do sooooooo love your avvy. I love your chooks and I'm so jealous i have asked Santa to find a way to let me have chooks for Christmas. Our problem is that we will only be on KI for another 12 months if we are very lucky and then not sure where (maybe Orange NSW) so we want to know that we can re-home them when we go. I've decided to approach someone about raising their chicks and then giving them back when we move.
Hello to everyone else, I'm thinking of you if not mentioning you all by name.
We just got back from a bit of a bummed out trip to Melbourne. It was just wrong from start to finish, from having my two appointments booked by them back to back and not allowing the time to get from one to the other and then being rushed through the 2nd, to stroppy staff, a change of specialists (back on day one after a year on maternity leave) and jsut a bad vibe from the whole experience. Nobody listened to me or my opinions and of course, Jazzy didn't wnat to play ball with strange new people who were rushing her and didnt understand her, so wasted trip! they also chastised me over certain things and were just unhelpful and hard to build a rapport with. I don't think they support my decision to take her back to Adelaide now and hand over their work to my audiologist and therapist friends in Adelaide but how wrong they are if they think they are able to do better. She loves the Centre where we go in Adelaide, it's nothing to do with the hospital and it's all such a family friendly atmosphere with kids everywhere, wonderful staff from the ground up. It's so unclinical and everyone loves her and it's such a happy inclusive place. The surgeon was very happy with her progress and now only wants a visit in 6 months, but audiology want us back next week! Not a chance, so I am going in 10 days and if they don't decide that's their last appointment before they are willing to hand us back to our team in Adelaide, there's going to be trouble. If they had any idea of the "trains, planes and automobiles" type experience it is to travel over and overnight in Adelaide and then in Melbourne, all to get to a pear-shaped appointment so they can satisfy their own needs and give us nothing for it. RAAAAAAAANT Angela!!!!! Hahaha, i'ts okay, I'm over it.
The good news is they turned on two more channels but weren't happy to do more as they didnt' get to test enough in the circumstances. She is very happy to be home again and is having a major brain growth spurt, she just seem sto be developing things before our eyes after this latest trip and sat down lastnight with a tiny little ring stacking toy she's never come close to being able to manipulate and got every ring on and worked out how to get her fingers out of the way and fully concentrate on getting it right. I also had my first IKEA experience and got her a bunch of funky furniture and she spent the night mastering climbing up and down from her big seats that look like Alice in Wonderland, they're so big compared to her.
From our media stints, Jazzy made page 2 of our local paper, with a gorgeous big photo, then page 3 of the big Adelaide Advertiser plus the three t.v news channels and today I have agreed to do an interview in the hard-hitting journalistic news magazine, That's Life:lol: Ahh, it's all about the cute factor with Jazzy. No one wants the real news story, they just fill a page with her photo and she sells. Meanwhile, it would be nice to get across some of the frustration and struggle, but I guess fluffy labradore puppies and cute kids sell more papers than disgruntled parents cranky with the lack of support and funding so no publicity is bad publicity.
Hey, what's Santa bringing? I reckon, we are going to get one of those bikes that dices and slices and turns into so many different modes of transport...you know the type. Anyhoo...this is me procrastinating cos now i have sooooo much more flight booking and admin stuff to do today. Love yas all:D
Awesome about That's Life Murph, you'll have to let us know when it goes on sale, I'm sure we'll all buy it! Sucks about the whole attitude of staff & lack of funding. You can bet if it was one of their kids it would be a different story! :protest:
Thank you all for the thoughts. It's been a long few days, but she is a very strong woman and is being well looked after. We have the funeral on Wednesday. Turns out the driver that hit him was not only over the limit but his licence had expired too. And he has been bailed and doesn't have to go to court til next year. So he gets to have Christmas with his family. So infuriating isn't it? :angry: But it has brought a lot of us closer and the way the community has just rallied around each other and are helping each other through is amazing. We really live in such a beautiful place.
Xmas: Well little man is getting one of those Smart Trikes too Murph, as well as a Flipout Sofa, a walking cart thing and a couple of Xmas Bibs. Will have to get him a bike helmet too. Not going to too much effort though, he'll like the paper better LOL

xmas::dance: we have gone all out this year especially for miss charlie shes getting a dolly and pram,out door setting puzzles,swing set,pool,table and chairs, bike shampoo tooth brush tooth paste lollies kickboard,hair clips music set, bubble bath...so as you can tell we are very excited charlie has been doing her chocolate calender and we will be going to the beach for xmas day so cant wait to spend our 1st xmas with out little miracle.
Hey yeah, just did the That's Life interview and I shouldn't have been so sarcy about it, she was actually a lot more indepth and knowledgable than all the t.v crews combined. The article is a proper health focus piece about hearing awareness so I'm happy with that and got to tell our full story and I get to approve it before it is printed and make changes. It's not due to go out until next year, so I will let you know of course.
Smithy, I laughed at your list of Chrissy presents and I think I'm a bit the same. I have accumulated a whole bunch of great things but I have to sell a bunch of stuff that she has outgrown or never liked so the house doesnt' get more over run. I re-thought the trike idea BOC because I think she is still too little for the whole bike thing yet and could only use it strapped in, so i bought online today from my favourite shop in Townsville (Entropy) a Wheely Bug walker that is a mouse design and a bunch of construction blocks (exy but worth it for the amount of great things she will build with her Daddy and I.) I have a whole bunch of musical "noise making" stuff and apart from that I'm just going to get the trusty old cheap moulded plastic trike that costs about $30 and she can ride that in or outside. I'm thinking of the the foldout too. haha, things I said I'd never do but last Christmas we only gave her two books so we can go a bit silly. Oh, yeah and jasmine is such a huge dog-lover, they light up her world and during my IKEA experience we came across a cage full of life-sized labradors! How crazy do you reckon she went. $22 for a gorgeous big stuffy like that, I couldn't resist and she will fall in love again all over again on Christmas morning. She has just developed the full-on pointing thing and the biggest and most important points are whenever she sees dogs. In the airport, she spotted the big guide dog money box, leaving the airport, she saw a boxer in the next car. it gets a bit embarrassment as she really points and then exclaims out loud....and long:ROFL:

I'm still here and have been reading but haven't had much chance to post due to having one very cranky baby lately to the point where she is now testing boundaries... like going to bed... for instance yesterday afternoon we went for a drive and ended up in Horsham (2 1/2 hrs away) and had dinner and then left around 7.45pm to come home. Tara had dinner had her bottle and a clean nappy, so she was all ready for a nice sleep on the journey home... well no such luck. We got home at just after 10pm to have a still wide awake baby who then decided to scream the house down until approx 11pm before going to sleep and was then up at about 3.30am and after trying to coax her back to sleep and bringing her into our bed she finally fell alseep at 6am. So surfice to say DH had a sick day today due to lack of sleep and we have been feeling so tired all day.. This is on top of the babies going through a massive growth spurt which resulted in yesterday being a very uncomfortable day for me...

Very scary indeed and such a big increase from 12 weeks when I already felt big. Only 3 more days until our 16 week scan when we can hopefully refer to these little ones by sex instead of righty & lefty..lol

Hi all, still here, been reading but so busy.
Campbell threw the biggest tantrum on record yesterday all over the dam trolleys in ikea. That was him hitting his wall over the week of back to back parties.
We have our last playgroup session ever today. Bit sad for all the lil bubbas, we have all know each other since the older ones were born and now they are off to school and we are all going back to work. Poor second bubs miss out on everything.
Well its Campbells birthday on Thursday and I plan to take him out for a special breakfast, then "I am going to drop him at daycare for a few hours for a play with his friends and then his big party is in the arvo with 30 of his closest friends. lol Think I must be nuts.
Getting excited about going back to work next year. All I know is that I have the ed support class and that at the moment I have 5 kids, I am sure I will end up with more.
Gotta go I have one boy who is ready to go back to bed.
