yayay our Mummy murph is back (like mother smurf hahahaha).
i could feel your happiness and excitement oozing from your post me-deary. Hey I didn't know that c-o-c-k-t-ail was sensored! it's a word, true! lol.
Jazzy sounds devine. as for the walking my besties 1st DS didn't walk til 17 months! and he didn't have to learn to listen either!
So sounds so adorable Murph. They are just such a delight at this age i reckon. Turning into real little people. We think Ash is a bit of a crack pot and he keeps us entertained endlessly with his antics.
Big congrats on the BF!!! i wish Ash and I had the plot together but sadly i must admit i only felt guilt and then relief to stop BF at 7 months to start metformin for this FET. I am sooooo hopeful that it's different this time around and we get BF a lot easier than Ash and I did!!!
just one thing - i had to laugh when you said you were glad to take the train to sydney lol. wait til you do that trip a couple of times and you'll be driving! they send the bodgiest old ex-city trains out to the country areas and they taek forever!!! oh and take a jacket or two cos for some freaking reason those trains are freezing!!!
AFM - still not 100% but getting there slowly. DH came down very sick Friday/saturday and Ash has my yukky cough but apparently no other symptoms (thankfully). So it's been very quiet here atm. Poor Ash needs to get out and play but we aren't well enough to do that atm. I'm about to enter my third trimester so that doesn't help either.
well the child has slept in again but i've just heard him so up we get (that's an 8am sleep in 2 days in a row!).
hi to all our mummies. it's been quiet on here so you'll all have to post again now to let us know how you are going
Hi Grub, how goes the baby bump, can't believe you're doing this again so soon. Lucky you
KellyD wow look at youre bump how's your back going?
Hi Saph how did little Xavier's Birthday go...
BOC I hear you about the babies getting bigger, I look at little Linc all the time and think OMG you're such a little man now.
As for me, what a bad BB member I am. been busy and haven't been around much. Moved jobs again, cant seem to find the right fit for me. Balance is hard to find when you're a mum. Going to dip my toes into night shift and see what happens. Oh DF has gone from "no babies" to if we win $1Million.... so I figure there is now room to negotiate..
Green oh my how cute is your Linc! Great photo of him. I can't believe how he has grown!
Murph, Jazzy sounds just awesome and you sound really happy also. Don't worry about the walking thing. I didn't walk until I was close to 20 months old and I ended up being a professional dancer, so it didn't hold me back later on. She will get there when she is ready.
Grub glad to hear that you are slowly getting better. Being pregnant and sick sucks as you can't take any of the good stuff!
I hope everyone else is okay, I will try and be better and catch up on where everyone is at.
Afm well my little Jazzy is about to turn 2 on Saturday next week (2 April). I really don't know where the time has gone. She is saying 4-5 word sentences, can jump (sometimes will do this from the moment she gets up until she goes to bed), sings songs, dances like nobody is watching and generally lights up my life every single day. Even the not so great things bring a smile to my face as it shows she is growing up and developing her independence. Such as all the "go away mummy"'s that I get each day. And the "you're naughty mummy"'s are a crack up!
Janie: WOW time has sure flown by. How can 2 years have passed since Jasmine entered your world and changed it for the better. Gotta love the independence of little girls though.
Murph: Good to to hear your move went well and I am waiting for winter so you can post a pic of Jazzy in the snow. I'm so excited to hear how her speech has come along, you have one very clever little girl there and the walking will happen when it happens. All I wanted was for Tara to walk but walking turns into running and geez they can be quick...lol
Green: Good to hear from you and Linc certainly has grown, he looks very cheeky in his photo and good luck on persuading DF to try for another.
Hi to all our other mummies, I am around all the time but finding time and/or energy to post is getting very hard..
Thanks for asking about my growing belly, luckily for us the boys are still tucked up tight and I just need to get passed next week to be able to deliver and stay in Ballarat and based on my size, the size of the babies and my level of discomfort we are thinking they will be here by 36 weeks at the latest.
We are having major teething with Tara at the moment, in the past 2 weeks we have had 2 lower eye teeth come through and now we are waiting for the final lower molar to make a break for it and then all that is left are the top 2 eye teeth. With any luck these will come through before the boys arrive so that hopefully we don't have any teething issues from her until the 2 yr molars stike and that will probably occur just when the boys will start teething. Apart from that I'm very tired, uncomfortable and just over carrying this extra weight around but I just have to talk myself through each day and before we know it our family will have gone from 3 to 5.......
janie!!! Green!! murph!!! all in one day!!! we are spoilt
and of course our lovely mummy Kelly - mum of 3 under 2 - so perhaps super mummy would be more apt!!!
It was so good to hear from you green! by your statement about your DF seeming more flexible regarding kids, does that mean you are going to try again soon? if so do you have fet? etc. of course you don't have to answer, i was just curious that's all. I hope you find some work that suits your life atm! It's so hard eh! I'd be in the job market now if i wasn't up the duff again already lol. We moved interstate and the only reason we used our frozen embryo was cos of that... we wanted to make a clean break and with only have 2 frosties just kinda thought "it probably won't work''... HA! First one took!!! I mean after years of IVF and tyring for DS, our first one took!! so i'll have 2 under 2... and probably love every crazy moment!
janie - i also couldn't believe Jazzy would be 2 soon! that's so amazing!!! Now what do you do to make that poor little toddler tell you that you are such a naughty mummy lol. Must be awfully bad me thinks!
Now, Lenny! RedRiding! MadB! Boc! Saph! Lise! Come out, come out wherever you are!!!
And all our mummies who haven't posted for awhile... I'd love to hear are you are trundling
Hey there lovelies, got no time to really get into it yet but please answer my desperate question before I think about going to a doctor. Was your first period back after pregnancy a usual event or more like you were never gonna stop bleeding? I have gone through all the girly gear I got and lastnight I had to resort to Jazzy's nappies and even then went through two and still going. Signed, "help, I'm bleeding" aaaaghgghhh!
Murph I think someone else started a thread on this recently as well, if I remember correctly (as it seems so long ago) but the first one can be really heavy and in your case there has been a lot of time for it to "build up" shall we say. Hopefully it will slow down for you, but keep an eye on if it keeps on going I'd get it checked out to make sure you don't get anemic (sp??) especially seeing you are still BFing.
hey murph, I only had a couple of weeks from post-partum bleeding to period (ggrrrr, got so totally ripped off! and yep i was bf ash full time!)... but from memory the first couple of AFs were horrid. hth.
Thanks Kel, I thought I remembered reading about that way back in the beginning too but this is like after the c-section and I take your point about anaemia as I'm already low in iron.
I've been watching that growing belly of yours Kelly and wow, what an effort to even walk, let alone apologise for not getting on the computer. Where do you position yourself when typing? I really hope the wait is as easy as possible and you can enjoy those last days knowing it was all worth it and you have two amazing little boys that you brought into the world. I'm as clucky as hell and I STARE at new babies, remembering my tiny miracle. Even with a little one, they reach a time when they are not babies and that crazy maternal beast takes over your every thought, wishing you could nurture another one. You've heard my ramblings on that issue, but we are never saying never. I would never believe I would become one of those people who are just drawn to babies and melt at the sight with all the memories flooding back.
Well, gotta go supervise Play School watching (just never know when that Jay and Justine are gonna drop the "F" bomb on my girl's tiny computerised ears
OMG Lise! Yes! Apparently I HAVE been RAK-ed! Ooooh so excited! I wonder who it was??? Better go put up a thank you post, but if it's anyone in here, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Mwah!
Oh and Lise, how is the little man going now? Any better?
Wow Janie! 2 already! WOW!!!
Crossing fingers, toes & everything for you Kelly that your boys will hang in there a few weeks more! You must be getting very excited! Seems like only yesterday you were having your ET!
Murph! Hiya! Welcome to NSW! And I second Murph's train tips. I used to work in Sydney and lived at the foot of the Blue Mountains and boy weren't those train trips fun in the old red rattlers, although it was non-airconditioned mid summer. Even more fun after Friday night work drinks LOL. As for the snow, I have never actually seen snow but I bet it will be lovely for you!
Welcome back Green! Wow Linc is getting so big! Good luck on winning the $1mil! LOL
Hiya Grubster! How's it going?
AFU, not a lot going on. DS has had a respiratory infection and been on ABs & the nebuliser 3 times a day. The neb was a struggle the first day-ish but now he just sits there holding the mask himself and singing lol what a little cutie!
Oh and we have now transitioned into a cloth-bummed household!!! I'm slowly transitioning, have 8 of various brands and 4 more on the way but am totally loving my new addiction! Kicking myself I didn't go cloth from the start!
And we are taking a break from the TTC journey. We've just changed health funds & the new one supposedly covers everything so we have a 12mth wait on our hands. TBH, I'm kinda glad. I was getting so stressed about finding the money and then going through another full downreg cycle and still dealing with the last one. I'm also enjoying DS so much at the moment, I just don't think the time is right.
Anyway, must run, DS has decided the dog's ears need stretching (as if they're not long enough!) and she's looking at me with a "HELP!" expression! BBL!
Woo hoo BOC, yay for being RAKed! Can't wait ti see your avy. Glad you've made a decision about TTC #2 you're happy with. Now you can relax and enjoy spending time with your gorgeous little boy.
Murph, I had AF return about five months in but for the first few months I only bled for one day, it's only the last two I've had normal bleeding. Hope you feel better soon! And yay for moving, hope you enjoy Orange.
Kelly, how are you going? You're doing such a good job of cooking those boys, hope you're getting some rest and relief.
Janie, cannot believe Jazzy is almost two!!! She sounds like a gorgeous little girl.
Green good to hear from you! Wow, Linc is huge, and so cute! Hope night shift works for you, I haven't made it back to work yet so I do admire those who have.
Grub, oi, I've been on here HEAPS (well for me!) lately Glad you're getting some sleep ins, hope you're feeling heaps better.
Okay, I think that's it?
We're going well. Finn seems to have settled down again sleep wise, though I'm still having to feed him to sleep most nights. Okay every night. BUT, he does now frequently go to sleep by himself during the day, I didn't think that day would ever happen!!
And our other news is that we have made an appointment with our FS in Melbourne to talk about #2. We only have one frozen embie left so we'll go back to Melbourne for this treatment, if it works then fantastic, if not, then we'll start treatment here. We haven't done a FET before so not sure what to expect. The only thing I know is that I'll have to stop breastfeeding for three months prior to treatment? Anyway, I guess this is why we have our appointment.
Well someone is waking up so better run. Hope all is well xx
Lise I went back to work when Linc was 4 months and cried almost daily untill I left that job in December, I'm in a better place but still two jobs on the go. Wish I could find one 3 day job that paid well......... #2's must be in the air hay... so exciting.
BOC sorry to hear about DS infection not fun. Good to take a break from TTC if you're stressed not a good combo.
Murph, hope you enjoyed playschool,
Grub happy to answer, we have 3 frosties and that is my ONLY hope, DF wouldn't go through ICSI again, he's a woose. I think that if there's a will I can negotiate the money stuff that's easy. Enjoy not working If #2 happens I'm taking at least 6 months off this time.
Kelly teething is nasty I hate, hate hate it. I read about "Baltic Amber" have been thinking about it, any thoughts?
Wow Janie a 2nd Birthday, Jazzy will really be into it... how much fun.
ATM enjoying my only day off this week, just put Linc down for a nap he's only had one nap a day for a week, and was going down at 9.30-10 too early waking at noon and KRANKY by 4, so I stretched him (with the wiggles) till 11.30, fingers crossed happier baby. DF is getting his bandages off tomorrow (elbow and wrist surgurey for carpel tunnel) hope he's in a better mood... Men aren't great at pain are they
fingers crossed for you green! it only took us one! Mind you i am so loving having DS atm that I kind of feel like BOC - i do wish we could have waited a bit longer and probably would have if we didn't have to move etc So BOC, enjoy him while you can!!
green - i remember you went back early, i don't know how you do it! i'm in awe! Oh and DS was the same. He'd sort of need a morning nap but needed a day sleep more. So i do the same and just stretch him out to 11.30/12 (fortunately we do a couple of play grops which keep him well occupied) and i find he goes down no problem when I put him to bed... and atm does a between 90 mins and three hours. he's also much happier to sit and play in his cot quietly in the morns and arvos, so i get a rest at taht time too!!!
yeah i know lise - i just didn't not want to mention you lol iykwim. grub logic dat is!
murph, gotta love playschool! its the only program ash watches (if yo don't count the rSpca and pedigree dog ads lol he loves animals!)... the other day they did a kissing song and Ashton started blowing kisses back to Justine. then when DH got home Ash just ekpt puckering up for daddy and giving him full on mouth kisses lol. mummy didn't get a look in and I'd been trying to teach him to blow kisses for ages!
seems he also likes johnny cash lol. and does this strange little dance thing! oh and we've taught him tiger hands - he walks around doing them too cute!
Oh Grub... just had to share! I was in Charlie Square today, and near the glass elevator was standing a preggy girl in a lovely purple dress, and my she looked like you! And she had a boy about Ashton's age in a pram. I was sure it was you! I was walking towards her, going to ask if it WAS you, got right up close... then I remembered that you moved away bahahahahaha! She sure did give me a funny look though!
lol was i pretty??? No i was at home dribbling on my pillow for my arvo nap.... You'll know when you see me, I'm the one with my dress tucked into my undies and spagetti down the front of my top (yes, that's no exaggeration, i just killed my last white tee!)
oh and the child chucking a squealing tantrum... and I probably just tripped over my own feet... lol.
imagine if you went up and said "hi grub!" that lady would have had a complex. But I hope we do get to meet one day!!!
Green Finn often has just one nap during the day but he usually doesn't wake till between 7-8 so if we're doing stuff in the morning ( which is about 3 days per week) he'll stay up till about 12/1 then have a big sleep. Seems to work for us though I did think 7 months was a little young to have just one nap!!
Hehe BOC, thats funny! I have to confess that I did/do always look for you and Grub when I'm in Newcastle, and this started before I knew what you looked like. Don't know how I thought I was going to recognise you...
Well I just weighed my little heffalump - one week off 9 months and just over 10 kgs. And here I was worried he wasn't eating enough solids
Hope everyone is having a lovely Tuesday

Lise you'll have to let me know next time you're coming up this way, we can arrange to meet for coffee or something!
Hehe it was funny! And I must confess, it wasn't the first time! Late last week I almost approached a old school friend's husband, he is a SAHD and I was going to ask how their 6 mth old bub was and have a chat, until I realised he wouldn't have the foggiest idea who I was as I'd never met him before, I'd only seen him in her FB photos! Oops!
One of the downsides of having a really good memory for faces & names LOL
Alright I'd better get off here, little monkey has only slept half an hour since 5am and if I don't get him another half hour to an hour now he'll be asleep in his dinner!!! Little blighter seems to have developed an aversion to his room at the moment too. Screams even when I'm walking towards it! So for now he will only nap in his pram or in the car! Grrrr frustrating!
BOC, I did that to a friend's husband in Woolies! I'd only seen him in her FB photos and I went and introduced myself. I'm sure he thought I was a complete freak, when I told my friend (his wife) she said he's really really shy!! Oh well, I'm a sociable person, even though he didn't know me I would have felt rude not saying anything
And will definitely let you know when we're up that way next. We don't go up that often, a shame because I do like Newcastle but can't stand DH's parents. Bad daughter in law!!
