That made me laugh! Grandparents can be Very strange!! Good to hear you are all moved and back online. At least Sam isn't too mobile yet. We have a big pile of 'stuff' in our spare room that we are gradually ebaying off...DS loves it, it's like a crazy jungle gym to him. We have to keep the door closed or he gets lost in there climbing around. When it's all sold we will finally have a spare room back, and some spare change too!:

The issue is that Sam hates having people get in his face. He likes his space, like me. He especially HATES people in his face at bed time... my parents are learning this slowly, but DH's parents just WILL NOT listen! Sam's had DH's mother in his face every time I try to put him to sleep all week. So Sam hasn't slept well, which means none of us have slept well... and I'm not even going to mention the comments about finding a way to prop his dummy in his mouth to stop him getting upset when it falls out! AARRRGGHHH!!!
They are gone now, it's all over... peace at last. Phew! Although Sam just had to pick today to have the stomach upset... pooing every nappy change when I have to glove up because of his rotavirus vaccine and DH is back at work now. Changing nappies while wearing gloves isn't exactly easy.

Hi everyone.
Thanks so much for your kind thoughts and words. I am feeling a lot better today although AF is in full swing. Almost cracked it today with mothers group at my place when my friend admitted she had her scan and found she had been pg with twins but one had died. She didnt realise till the scan that there were two but still is understandably upset. I was sooooo close to telling her about us but there were too many ppl and I didnt want it to be common knowlege.
DH refuses to accept that it is indeed a MC. I chucked a bit of a wobbly at him as he was very insensitive about it. I guess it was not his body and he didnt feel all the pg symptoms and he seems to think that it was too early to count.
Glad to hear your move is all finished and your "Helpers" are gone, leaving you in peace BW. I agree the grandparents can be VERY strange. Their enthusiasm borders on madness sometimes and Celeste finds her Nana (MIL) too full on at times too.
Hope all Sam's scans are good news for you too. Best to be safe than sorry with those things.
Have been feeling particularly mushy towards Celeste the last few days. On the one hand I am devestated that this cycle didnt work out but I keep reminding myself we have Celeste and are soooo lucky to have had her after so long trying. But I then think to myself that it doesnt take away from the fact that this one was very much wanted too. It's a strange feeling almost like I feel guilty whichever way I think about it. Am already worrying about what if the other one doesnt work out either. Will we have to face that we may only have one child? And why is that so bad when we are just so damn lucky to have her inthe first place? *sigh*

It's ok Sazz, you're entitled to a bit of "self-absorption" at the moment ;). you know we're all there with you in spirit. I hope it doesn't feel like extra pressure on you to perform, but I think we all take it quite personally when it's 'one of the girls', iykwim.
Your conflicted emotions sound pretty reasonable to me. Why shouldn't you feel bad about not having the family you want? And it doesn't mean you don't appreciate what you already have, either.
Being a man (sorry to any male readers) your DH is, although crushed by the loss, probably trying to get over it by avoiding the issue entirely....

I think DS is cross cutting his teeth. He has his 2 bottom ones and the one that came through a week or two ago, is the top canine one I think? Imagine the top 2 teeth, then go left another 2 teeth! I don't think that is suppose to be through yet! Trust my little man to go against the grain of everything :doh:

Oh Sazz, I'm really sorry :( I was trying to come and post yesterday but it wasn't happening. My DH responded that way with our early MC too. I really agree with marcellus and think it was his way of dealing with it, and dealing with me feeling as emotional and as affected as I was. Please look after yourself, and make sure that you allow yourself to feel the way you are without thinking you should be feeling any differently, IYKWIM. Take care :hug:
Sazz - your self absorbed-ness is not selfish at all, and that's what makes this thread great. Your confusing feelings are well and truely understood here! DH's are frustrating sometimes. Mine will not let me talk about Liam's twin, even though 'he' made it to 8 weeks, and we saw 'him' on our 12 week scan still. But we all feel things differently and I know that some women who have an ET feel they have had a 'loss' even if the emby didn't implant.
Wanting another bub, a sibling for Celeste, doesn't mean you take for granted how special Celeste is and how lucky you are to have her. You just would love to have more babies in your life and in hers.
My parents are coming over for a week (from NZ) when Liam turns one. Bl00dy mother of mine invited my brother for 'the party'. (there is no party planned!) Bro said no as their baby was still born at 40 weeks and she would be 9 months now. It's still a bit much for him - but mum has no sensitivity. Now i'm feeling guilty as he thinks there was a party planned and i hadn't invited him. My brother has only seem DS once, and that was at their baby's funeral when DS was only 3 months old. I feel sad that he is not part of his life, but there is still time. I'm sure things will get better.

Sazz, not at all self-absorbed. My DH was very similar with our chemical pregnancies. The first loss that we'd actually seen on a scan actually had some sense of reality to him... the others didn't, therefore they didn't exist to him, and it was just easier for him to deal with it that way. I honestly don't think the desire for another baby takes anything away from how you feel about Celeste... I can't imagine how difficult it must be to try to decide what to do from that point on. We have two frozen embryos and I'm adamant that I will NOT do another stim cycle... but who knows what may come over me in the future.
Time for me to have my own self-absorbed little ramble...
I have had the day from hell here. Sam's not been sleeping. I managed to get three loads of washing done... I'd get him settled and asleep then I'd go outside to hang things up and come back inside to find the poor boy screaming. I feel like such a bad mother! He's finally asleep now... had to hold him all the way through eating dinner - one handed - and managed to drop stuff on him. So now he's asleep in a wrap with my dinner all over it, but I wasn't going to risk waking him to wrap him in a clean one!
On top of all that, the internet connection went phooey today so I've been feeling isolated and alone as well as like a terrible mother.
Just praying for a good night here... but not at all hopeful. :(
Does anyone ever have days where you wonder WHY you went through all the IVF and other crap? I guess I'm just not really enjoying being a mum today... I've actually at times felt like taking Sam back to the SCN because I can't take care of him properly and they'd know what to do while I'm completely clueless. I don't know why he won't sleep, I don't know how to help him and I've not been there when he's needed me today because I was too focussed on the bloody housework!

BW, I think if you read back from the start of the thread you will see a lot of us posting similiar things about wondering why the won't do this or why are they doing that? Then we feel bad because of what we went through to have these little people in our lives.
Hope tomorrow brings a better day for both you and Sam. and a restful nights sleep tonight for sam as well.

Mashed potato was the first thing i dropped on Liam. It was definitely not the last, but i don't remember all the rest! I do remember looking at him and thinking after all we went through, why was it not like the fairy tale? It's hard in the beginning when you are tired, hormonal, tired, exhausted, overwhelmed and tired. But you know you love him and you are a great mum. I only really started enjoying Liam when he was older, and I could understand his needs a bit better. I loved him dearly, but I was always wary/afraid of doing something wrong. Now I'm so much more relaxed.
I just snuck in to the preg after LTTTC. Wow, I hardly know anyone anymore :redface:
Anyway enough blabbing, can you tell DS is asleep :lol: Enjoy your time off marcellus!! Anything planned?
The pregnancy thread is pretty bad at the moment, Lenny. It seemed to happen while I was in hospital having Samuel. I left and knew everyone, came back and about the only person I still knew was BG. I just find it too hard to keep up with everyone now, so I don't look.
We're having another messy day here. I'd just like one feed to go smoothly and mess-free. Which means getting through it with only one nappy change, and not having to change the towel on the change mat (and certainly not twice!) and not having to find a new outfit for Samuel because he's peed and/or pooped all over everything!
Thanks for the encouragement, everyone. I have a much more settled (if not less messy) baby today. We've gone back to his original formula with a small amount of thickener added and we now seem to have an almost puke-less baby who can suddenly self-settle once more and has less wind. The difference has been almost immediate. I feel like I'm doing things right once more.

Not a lot of sleep happening here at the moment, DS is cutting tooth #4, his 2nd eye tooth. He has the 2 bottom ones and then went straight to the eye teeth, no middle top ones or the ones either side of the middle ones! It has made for a very unhappy bubba..

Well, had a nice day out today, and then found out that I don't have a job to come back to! so I'm now officially a SAHM (in the absence of a job or any job prospects....)
Far out...we are on the move!! Commando crawling, but getting around quite quickly, i think it's the floorboards? he can slide across it easier than he would on carpet lol.
Everywhere I look I see stuff that needs to be packed away or lifted or tied/locked up! Nothing is safe, he was even trying to munch on the floor before!
He has just gone down for his 3rd nap today :o here's hoping the extra movement will help him to sleep a bit longer!

Nic - teeth are cruel. We are just all very unsettled because of colds/congestion. It's not even winter but either DS, me, or DH seem to have something - or all 3 of us at once!

As for messy babies...they don't get better! Spew, dribble, spew, poo, more dribble (from those nasty teeth) and then food everywhere! We were going to get the carpet cleaned once DS could crawl - i can't imagine why now. He is the messiest creature on two legs.
Well, there was a part of me that wanted this to happen (i posted about maybe quitting a while back), but now that it's actually happened I'm a bit panicky! I already did the sums and we can survive... but that's about it. It'll be ok though. It wasn't really a shock given the horrendous market conditions at the moment (worked for a stock broker).
Thank goodness for tiled floors!!! was the best thing my parents ever did in this house. Could not imagine what it'd be like with carpet.

Holy cow, this was soooo me! I remember doing a long post to Nic about it too. And I felt even worse cause he was bub #2 and I KNEW the realities of having a baby, but just thought I'd earn some bonus points going through all the crap beforehand - unfortunately it doesn't work that way, babies are babies no matter how they are concieved (and that's a beautiful thing really) Hang in there BW, I know I've already told you, but you're doing an awesome job and the older they get, the easier it gets.:

Well that's what I keep telling myself because as some of you may have noticed (and thanks for the PMs and messages!!), we have #3 on the way :o Not an IVF bub this time so an even bigger shock. Some days I'm terrified about doing it all again but mostly I'm thrilled that this has happened for us when I never thought it would.
Marcellus - I was recently made redundant too and am now a full time SAHM. It's a bit hard financially but over the last few weeks I've gotten used to the idea, have adjusted and am really enjoying it!
I'm glad to see you're all doing well apart from the odd teething/sleep deprived/sick baby moments.

BW, so glad Sam is less spewy for you. I know it can be sooooo tiring with all the constant changes of clothing and wiping and appologising everywhere you go. I cant remember when Celeste's spew fountain slowed down but I am sure happy it did!!! Just about every photo of when she was little (not that she is that big now) she is wearing a bib. It's nice to only use one for meal times!!! You will get there eventually.
Nic, I hope those teeth are hurrying up and letting your household get some sleep. Isn't it cruel how the top ones seem to hurt so much more than the bottom ones? Hehehe I bet you are on the move now with a crawler inthe house! It is astounding how far they can go and how much trouble they can get into when you turn your back.
Celeste has been amazing me this week. She has learned 3 words in one week and embraced walking with her walker/brick thingy. She already signs mum, dad, dog, cat and says the words mum and dad but now she has added 'more' and 'ta' plus 'dog'. She looks at a picture of us onthe wall while drinking her bed time bottle and signs mum. Very cute. today at our mums group she was hugging everyone and everything... including the socks she took off. She hugged socks!!!! I guess she loves them :lol:

As for me I am just busy chasing two little terrors aropund the house :lol: Mackenzie is the commando crawler (who can crawl normally also but just choses not to :think:) and Ryder is now getting around also, but he is still a bit shaky and doesn't have the speed of his sister yet lol. Mackenzie is also pulling herself up on everything and just wants to be standing all the time at the moment. It makes it hard though when Ryder wants me at the same time and I don't always catch Kenzie when she has a fall :doh: Now she is supporting a massive bruise of her face :redface: Ahh the joys of being a twin Mum if only I could grow an extra set of arms :rolleyes:
I have to lay something on you ladies -
I'm worried that now I no longer have any excuses (ie work) for not being the mum I wanted to be (or rather the one I thought I ought to be) I might find out that I'm not all that good at this... I always had work to explain why I didn't do the things with DS that I thought I should, or spend enough time with him...
I know it's normal to feel like you don't know what you're doing or to question yourself and so on, but that's not quite what I mean. I think I have this ideal of what I should be as a mum and I don't think I can live up to it. I use to blame having to work, but the truth is that I'm just not that person anyway.
Does that make sense?

This 'ideal' of what a Mum should be puts incredible pressure on us women, hey!
In my opinion, the 'ideal' Mum is one who loves her kids, loves her partner and loves herself (in no particular order of preference!!!)
How you express that love will be different from everyone else...as it should be!!!
Some days you may express that love through time, some days through doing household stuff and some days by just giving yourself some much deserved time out!!!
I think the greatest gift you can give your child is showing them the 'authentic you'...
Marcellus's version of mummyhood is perfect for you and perfect for your DS!!! If you try to be anything but yourself, it won't work anyway, hey?
Sometimes I read BB and think "oh...I don't do that...should I be doing that? Am I a bad Mum" etc. etc.), until I realise that my version of Mummyhood is just right for me and that's what I have to trust...
I hope what I'm saying is making some sort of sense...
Just do what 'sits' right with you...being you, being your version of Mummy is perfect!

Marcellus, I think it is completely normal - but not always a helpful thing - to have an expectation of what being a mum is like and what it will be like in different situations, and also an expectation of what KIND of mum you would like to be. We place all this pressure on ourselves to fulfill these expectations.
I had so many expectations during pregnancy of what it would be like and how I would feel whilst being pregnant - and most of it was not my reality in the end. The same has occurred with being a mum so far, even though I tried to get rid of my expectations because of how they affected me in pregnancy. What I'm trying to say is that it doesn't matter how hard you do try, there is always an amount of pressure and striving to be the best that you can be when it comes to your child.
But you are already being the best mum you can be in your life as it is, and this is the most important thing. Being a parent has to work both ways - you give so much to your child, but you need to be able to do what is right for you also, so that you are in the best place to be your child's parent. When there is this balance, you are being the best Mum you can be. And your mothering instinct will tell you exactly what your child needs from you, and you DO fulfill this otherwise would you child be thriving and growing and being happy?
What works for you and your DS will be completely different from anyone else, just like what works for DD and myself is completely unique. And to top it all off, it changes all the time anyway, as I am currently learning! DS will respond to you being his SAHM and you will be his mother based on this, in the way that works for you and him.
It's so hard, but please don't let negative feelings and thoughts get in the way of that. It's a scary, new, hard thing, but I have no doubt you will be the best mum as you have always been, just now you'll be a SAHM. I think your fears sound like in part as though they are coming from being moved into a brand new situation that you're not sure of. I think the trick to it is to have the confidence in yourself as DS's mum to be able to be exactly the mum he needs.
So... my big word so sum all this up is CONFIDENCE in who you are right now as a mum, not what you think you should be or shouldn't be. You go, marcellus! You can do this, and you ARE a wonderful mum!

I've just randomly popped up into the thread, I know, and please know I'm always following you all even though I'm not being active. I hope it's ok for me just to pop up and post randomly like this! I haven't really been up for talking about what's been going on for me much - and in fact interacting very much at all - as it's difficult to find the energy and the words to express it effectively. I've been struggling with some PND, but I am staying on top of it as much as possible, and receiving lots of help. DD is doing really really well, and I am learning every day about how to manage PND in order to get along with being a mum :)
Hope you're all well - it's great to read and hear about all the wonderful developments that all your LO's are making - so exciting!
And a big congratulations Willow - congratulations on your pregnancy! I hope the 2nd half goes wonderfully and the excitement builds leading to meeting your newest addition!
Hopefully I'll be up for posting a little more regularly now, so I hope it's ok for me to try to jump back in the thread a little more...

Marcellus, I don't think there's a mother alive who hasn't worried that she's not being the best mother possible to her children... It is something I struggle with, especially on the days when Sam's having a bad day and I simply can't wait for DH to get home so that I can give Sam to him and go take some ME time... Afraid I don't have advice for how to get past it (but reading what the others have said with interest!), but I did want to let you know that you are not alone. :hug:
Miss C, sorry to hear about the PND... it's something I think I'm only barely avoiding. Some days are better than others. :hug: for you too. Last I saw there were no rules requiring daily or weekly check ins, so feel free to post as and when you can. Just know that you are missed when you go missing - especially as your little girl is so close in age to Sam - I do like to hear what she is up to.
On my side of things - I have been utterly exhausted lately. Sam's had a long stint of being velcro baby, my arthritis has been flaring and DH has been working some extra hours. And however much those extra hours are appreciated in financial respects, they do make life damned hard for me when I'm struggling with my health! For the first time yesterday Sam started to show an interest in the toys on his play mat - he wasn't just accidentally hitting them while he flailed his arms around - he was deliberately batting at them! I'm also starting to get what I'm sure are little chuckles. Unfortunately, after that 10 minutes of happily playing by himself I had what was simply the WORST day ever... no sleep, no shower for me. The only way I got food or the toilet was by putting Sam down and letting him scream... There was lots of puking and what was perhaps a low-grade fever (his temperature wasn't in fever range, but it was a bit higher than normal for him - he's a bit like me and runs slightly cold), so I think the poor little thing was feeling rather unwell. He's also constipated and the paed's recommendation of watered down prune juice is taking a while to work this time... Today looks like being a better day, but I'm not sure I'll recover from the lack of sleep the night before last until we hit the weekend and the MTX forces me to sleep through and DH to do the night feeds.
Like Miss C I've been reading lots, but not posting much - hands have been hurty and they are getting sore again now so I will cut this off here and try to get back later today.

ktgirl and Shannon - how do you get the time to post? I love hearing twin stories and it's going to be so rewarding when they start playing together and teaching each other things. DS already learns from the other kids at mum's group.
marcellus - If you are thinking that you wanted to be the mum who did gymbaroo, swimming, dance, music, library reading time, etc then don't beat yourself up. A is still so young! He learns and has fun just doing boring repetitive things. DS is constantly going to the kitchen floor and licking the same tile all the time! It's gross and I don't know why he does it, but he loves it!! Kids need alone time to think about what they have seen and done and to build their imaginations too.
You are a great mum, you are still bf (yay!) and A is very loved and will be very secure and confident.
Do we all think that we put too high expectations on ourselves because we 'did IVF' therefore we wanted this child, therefore we must be the best parent? I wanted to do cloth nappies and baby signing. I did neither! Maybe next time?!
miss c - it's early days yet...come and go as you please. One day you will look back (like I do know) and wonder how you made it. It's so tough sometimes. Good to hear you are getting help - that's great.
BW - It's great when they start to bat at their toys with hands and feet. You can see them really growing up. Then one day soon S will be coming to the loo with you, and you will wish you could leave him behind on the floor!

Lenny, I was PMSL at your comment about your DS licking the same tile. I had DS trying to chew the floorboards a week or so ago, made me laugh!
Well, we are on to tooth number 6 now! He is pushing them through quite quickly at the moment, so I suppose it explains why he is being the way he is at the moment. We did have 2 nights this week, where he went down for a 5 hour sleep before waking... that was quite a shock.
Things are getting me down lately, and I've tried to talk to DH about it, he thinks I'm suffering from lack of sleep. I explained that some days I feel a little sad, other days I'm fine. Mostly I'm finding it hard to deal with things/life in general, like our house being an absolute bomb site, trying to deal with the insurance company about our roof needing replacing after the hail storm last year, heaps of family dramas going on at the moment...
I think what is getting to me is the fact that I just can't work out what is actually wrong...It's like I'm stressed, but I'm not?? that doesn't make much sense...maybe Im finding everything overwhelming at the moment? must go, DS is awake :)

Nic - Lack of sleep certainly won't help, even if it's not the main problem. I think we do come to these crisis points when everything just overwhelms us for a bit. Sometimes we only really know the real problem once it resolves and we feel better.... Getting some rest might help you to evaluate the situation more clearly, though it does seem like it's a little more complicated than just lack of sleep

Yes, I do have trouble finding time to fit in gym around playgroup, swimming, reading class and acquarobics, not to mention getting my nails done.... :rolleyes: God, if I manage to get one thing done in a day that actually involves leaving the house (and sometimes I count collecting the mail) then I give myself a pat on the back.

Do you have to take that medication long term BW? Must be so hard to manage while ill - really hope you have some time to take care of yourself.

Marcellus ... ahh i know that feeling well i hear mothers at mothers group talking about all these things they do with their kids.. touching trees etc etc and i think my poor neglected kids havent touched a tree yet.. and then they smile and i think we are all here fed, watered and smiling and thats all that has to count... touching trees and all that other stuff can wait!
Willow - Hope everything is going with the pregnancy so exciting to hear about oopsie babies after iVF :)
BW - Hope the athritis isn't giving you too much grief and so glad to hear things are going well with Sam, it is such a relief when you can finally make them feel better.
Nic - Way to go DS those teeth are really coming through no wonder he is having his velcro baby days. Hope you manage to get that sleep and feel a bit better i think its great you are telling DH so he can understand and lean on him!

Hope i didn't miss too many people.
Well we are 4 month yesterday and Owen has finally rolled just once but is moving around lots on his belly as well and Julia is trying to roll off everything, it has been a huge few weeks they are realing testing their voices now and talk for hours! We started solids with Julia loving it and Owen clamping his mouth shut and refusing to eat, started going to these music sessions at the library a little overwhelming for the kids but teaches me the words to these nursery rhymes..... and i was sure it was a mouse that jumped over the moon! Owen has been to the physio and has a slight to moderate flat spot and has a 50% chnace of needing a helmet.... a $300 helmet! So no mother of the year awards going here.. then someone informed me his formula the GP put us on has no Omega 3 for brain developement... poor kid wonky shaped head and no Omega 3.... lucky he is cute! Ahh the things we worry about! Immunisations on Friday so not looking forward to that :doh: Ok off to bed.. have a great week!

Well, I've had a sick little man this week, he has had the runniest little nose. Seems to be clearing up, so that's good. The chemist gave me one of those aspirator thingy's...there is no way I could use it by myself. DH laughed when I showed it to him. He asked how I planned on getting it near DS's face without someone to help me hold DS down? He's right too, lol. DH has been on nightshift this week, and DS has been sleeping really horrible. When he finally went to sleep the other night, DD got up complaining that she felt unwell, and wanted to be sick...so I held her long hair back while she hugged the loo poor thing. She has been home from school all week, and DS thinks it is fantastic that his big sister is here to play with all day, so we can't possibly have a nap during the day mum!
Anyway, he is finally in bed, so I should toddle off there myself :)

What? You havn't been out touching trees Shannon? Your poor deprived children ;). I reckon if you've got two at once then you're definitely ahead if they're fed, watered and smiling - anything beyond that is an amazing bonus. Sounds like it won't be long till they're up and running and touching trees (and all sorts of other things) all by themselves. Hope you don't need that helmet! It's always so helpful when people tell you what you're doing wrong:rolleyes:. I'm sure his brain will be fine.
Nic, hope the kids are doing better by now. DS had a bit of a cold over the weekend. Off his food and snot everywhere. Saturday night was the worst in a long time - I think he got a grand total of 4 hours sleep.... We were down south on a little getaway, so that went well with zero sleep... still, the change of scenery was nice.

marcellus, hope your DS is feeling better after his cold. DS has only been better in the last day or two, can you believe! It seemed to drag on forever, or at least felt like it was. Poor DD is finally better as well, thanks :) She had all of last week off, and went back for her first day on Monday and came home with head lice!! OMG YUCK!! So she spent yesterday (and again today) home from school.

Thought i would check in with everyone quickly, but you must be all busy. Well, as I said in my previous post, DD had head lice, and you wouldn't believe it, but i found a single louse on DS's head the other night!
Yuck..I felt so sad, and horrible, both my children had them! I got it out, checked him over, then we got the eggs out (thought we did anyway) and I have just been checking his hair everyday for any signs. So, I'm super paranoid ATM, and DS is sick of me 'playing' with his hair and scalp.
I felt like such a horrible failure of a mummy last week, but it looks like we are winning the fight against them, so i'm feeling much better now :)

Nic, you silly sausage! Head lice doesn't make you a bad mum! I think head lice makes you a mum full stop!! Yukky and awful as it is, there is nothing you can blame yourself for!!!

Not much to say here - happy birthday to Liam and Aric (in a weeks time). Our little boys are One now. Wow. Somedays it feels like he has been here forever, and somedays it's like i'm still getting used to it. Hope you have a fun day Marcellus.
Needles yesterday, and he was soooo sad. I nearly cried. Silly mummy! He was a bit clinging afterwards but was his same old self by the evening - yelling at me and banging his head against my legs!
My parents came over (from NZ) for DS's birthday and my brother and his gf came from sydney. They were awesomely good with DS - amazing. I'm sure they were sad for their little baby girl's passing, but they didn't let it show and it went very very well. Hard to believe they had spent no time with him ever - and had only briefly seen him at the funeral.

DS is up to get jabbed next week...feeling a bit anxious about it acutally. I've never taken him for his shots before.
OMG Jo, I can't believe we missed saying Happy Birthday to your little man! Happy Belated Birthday Liam! That is nice that your brother and his gf came to visit as well. As for almost crying when Liam had his needles, I'm the same. Last lot of needles I sat outside while DH took him in.

As for us the the awful lice, thanks girls :) I felt like no matter what I did, we were just not going to get anywhere with them. DD's hair is almost down to her backside, and she wants it cut now, to just above her shoulders!

Happy first birthdays Liam and Aric!!! It is a wierd thing: all this time I was thinking how much older Celeste was but she is really only 2.5months older. I guess I was always thinking back to when they were born. Well done on being Fantastic Mummies for a whole year you two!!!
I've been a bit down recently with ANOTHER unplanned pregnancy in our mums group. That is 2 unplanned, one scare and one that only took 2months to concieve. And that is in a group of 8of us! I havent told them of my ivf attempt/MC although I have come close afew times. It has just always been bad timing with not wanting to make the pg ones feel bad. I dont want them to feel guilty but I kinda want to explain why I may not have reacted as overjoyed as they might have expected. There was another ivf mum in our group but she moved interstate. She visited recently and came to my house privately the day before our get together which was nice, as she wanted to talk about it all. She is attempting again soon and I told her about us. It was nice to get it out there to someone who understands :)
Celeste is being a joy. STILL not walking but she took a few steps the other day and toddles all over the house with her pushwalker thingy. WORDS galore though! She had a funny tooth come through. It looks like a very very skinny tooth but I think it is the uneven top of a normal one with the rest of it yet to surface.
See by your sig Lenny that you are thinking of thawing? Not surprised really LOL after your other thread :) Let us know what is happening wont you!!?? Oh, I know, lets be cycle buddies!!!! Could be tricky to coordinate though hehehe.
And headlice Nic? Ah, I'm sure we will all have our share one day, just hope its not for a long time yet. You are a PERFECT mum, dont think otherwise!!!
