Dearest Chez and Hippy Mum.
I am truly saddened to hear of your tragic losses, may your little angels Georgia and Ryan watch over you forever. While the pain in your heart may never fade, joy will one day return take strength from those who love you and support each other true friends will always be there.
Love Bee
I will be praying for your families, Georgia and Ryan - so loved and so missed
Thinking of you both
Chez  there are no words to describe how unfair the world is to have taken from you what you love most. You are a mother to a wonderful little boy, and that can not be taken away from you. While I cant imagin the pain that you and your DH are currently going through, I hope that in time you will be able to remember the joy of the brief time you were able to share this little one with your family and friends.

I'm sorry if it seems insensitive to change the topic a bit when everyone is so sad for Hippymum and Chez. I don't know you girls but it is heartbreaking news and I hope you have all the support and strength to get through your very sad loss. I can't imagine what you are going through.
I wanted to welcome MissMagpie to the thread. I hope you are going well. It's a tough time I'm finding and haven't had a chance to relax and enjoy it yet (despite all advice). I'm seriously thinking of buying black toilet paper IYKWIM. Who doesn't know that all too familiar inspection routine and white hides nothing! It never seem to stop. One minute we are hoping for implantation signs, and the next, we want nothing, no cause to give us worry. Well that's my story at the moment.
A few days after the special cuddle, I got proper bleeding and AF symptoms so it was like day 1 of AF. DH bought 2 types of chocolate and I ate them in my misery. I spent a few anxious days of more blood tests and finally had a scan which showed a tiny little heart beat bouncing around. We possibly had two and lost one, or the other one may still be forming. Either way, it was a huge relief as I thought it was over for me.
I'm heading towards 7 weeks tomorrow. I'm 2 and a half weeks behind KellyD and watching all your symptoms, just hoping I don't get them. I'm no longer in a govvy job, am bones of our bum broke (but on tree change inthe daintree, hee hee) and uni is a full 2 hours drive one way. The morning of the AF symptoms, started like I was going to spew and I was thinking "curse you KellyD, this can't happen to me, how am I going to drive to uni?" Anyway, without jinxing myself, I'm still not sure if I get any sighn of m/s. I tend to get a sick feeling after breakfast but milk sometimes does that anyway, strange that I can set my watch by a sick feeling at 10 a.m though.
I won't make this all me, (oops too late) just wanted to break convention and start the chat again. I was really enjoying reading your words of wisdom on calm birth Nixon, you sound like a bit of a guru yourself and I will revisit your advice if I ever get that far along. :goodluck:
Goodluck and safe travels to you and your precious ones.
Hi Girls
I want to pass on my best wishes to HM & Chez during what must be the most trying time. I can't imagine the pain you both must be feeling, but we are all thinking of you here.
Hi Murph: Oh no about the bleeding... It must be a relief to have had your scan and see the little heartbeat flickering away. Although I must admit "special cuddles" are the last thing on my list at the moment. The last time was a week before transfer, so that is now like 10 weeks ago, but hey even DH is not really concerned. It is really something that I just couldn't handle at the moment with the following going on.... 2 x pessaries a day (yucky), regular cramping pains from all the stretching (right around my cervix area) oh and lets not forget the nausea thing as well. Really I just don't feel that sexy IYKWIM ...
Well, I rang work on Friday and am off work for another week. They still seemed ok, but I was asked if I think I'm going to be able to handle working while pg.... I told them that I really wasn't expecting to be feeling so horrid and that one day I seem fairly ok and then the next I can be confined to bed for the day. I just really need to get through this next 3 weeks or so and hopefully will feel much better and then can try and enjoy this pregnancy. Off to my first OB appt on Thursday, so hopefully will get to see our bubble again. Although I know it must be thriving if what it is doing to me is anything to go by.
Just wanted to send my best wishes to TL and Janie. Less than 2 weeks to go to launch date for you both, how exciting
Hi girls,
Hope you're all feeling well.
Murph, it's a relief when you see a little heartbeat flickering away. Hoping your MS doesn't kick in - it seems like a 2 hour drive to and from uni is enough without adding some MS to the mix. :D
Kelly, you poor thing. Pregnancy is such a blessing but it comes with some pretty horrid side affects. Sounds like your work is really supportive which makes things a little easier. GL for your appt on thursday.
We're off to our 18 week scan tomorrow. Will give you an update tomorrow evening!
Oh Chez  sorry I have not been in sooner hun
HM we are thinking of you to sweetie
Good afternoon girls,
Murph - I am SO hearing you! I too am checking the toilet paper all the time. So glad all is ok with you and that you got to see the heartbeat, how exciting! Take care
KellyD - hope your MS passes soon and your feeling better. It must be hard with work and what to tell them. Everyone is different so you cant predict how your going to be next week or the week after. Look after yourself.
AFM, still not feeling anything as yet. A few twinges here and there but thats all. My boobs arent sore but seem to be popping out of my bra which isnt good as I am HUGE as it is so have to buy a new bra now from a specialised shop. Just ordered one online this morning so I HOPE it fits!!!! Im feeling anxious as Im waiting for some sort of symptom(s). My 6 week scan is on 1 April which Im looking forward to so we can see the heartbeat and I have my 1st obstetrician appointment on 27 April.
Take care,
Tania
hi tania - i didn't have any symptoms until about 7 or 8 weeks (sore bb's started around 8 weeks). good luck in the lead up to 1 April - it's not far away!
afm, i've had some good movement over the last week (especially on the weekend). i'm certain it is bubs splashing around and it is just lovely :D i'm on the countdown to the 19 week scan in two and a half weeks.
hope everyone's doing well.
xx
Hi girls..
TL- im so excited the Miss C is only a week away i remember her as phoenix all those weeks ago and cant wait to see pictures!
Janie71-Hope all is going well with you too only a couple of days to go but i havent seen you for a little while either.
Nixon and all the others due soon...hugs and belly rubs i hope your all going well.
AFM- little jacob has been causing mummy a lot of lower abdo and flank pain so we had a midnight dash to the hospital last night..luckily it wasnt labour but they suspected a UTI and babies trace was "unresponsive" so went home for a small kip befor OB called me back in for another trace...still "unresponsive" so i have had to have more tests. Bubs seems OK if a bit on the thin side but i have mild hydronephrosis on L and severe on R so i guess OB will call again tomorrow. Going to try get a good nights sleep.
Love Bee
Hi Ladies
Bee: Hope your UTI goes away soon. I suffer from them a lot and they are so annoying and uncomfortable.
Hi to everyone else.
AFM: Could it be that my nausea is going away already.... Or maybe I'm getting used to it and it is not affecting me as much. After feeling like so much crap last week I've been feeling so much better since Saturday, even went out for Thai food on Saturday night (yum) and had no reaction at all. I am still eating regularly, but not constantly like last week so I'm hoping the worst is over. If so basically it lasted for about 3 weeks...
Anyway, I have a question for all.. As I mentioned in a post last week, since transfer date I've been losing weight. I weighed myself today and I've now lost in total 2.3 kg, I've read that in the 1st trimester if you are overweight that your body adjusts itself but at transfer I was probably only about 9kg over my ideal weight. As I haven't been vomiting and eating like a horse I really don't know if losing that much weight is good or not. Did anyone else experience weight lose in the first trimester??
Kelly, my weight fluctuated in the first tri. I kept losing and gaining the same 2kgs up until about 14wks. I had almost constant nausea and no appetite which is what I put it down to. I wouldn't be concerned if you are happy and feeling ok. Lots of people lose weight in that first trimester, so try not to worry. :)
Kelly - the change to your eating habits will make a huge difference to your weight - if you're someone that usually eats only a couple of decent meals a day, the constant snacking from wake up to going to sleep will increase your metabolism HUGELY and you start to lose weight. i lost somewhere around 10-12kg in first tri, put on about 2 over the next 10 weeks, and have started losing again. the losing coincides with me having to snack again more often cos the MS is getting heaps worse again... provided you are eating healthy and bubs is growing, it's not a drama - i actually had the middy tell me last week it was a good thing - i guess overall i've lost more than the amount listed, but won't know how much til bub and all the associated fluid and stuff is gone from my body. i've not actively been weighing myself, but i know what i was on O day due to the risk of OHSS and i know what i was at last appointment so i know i'm still losing slowly. it's not for lack of eating though - i snack on healthy stuff all day (grapes are my friend!)
Bee - hope all is ok for you when the Ob contacts you again
to the other ladies - sorry i've been a little AWOL lately - am really struggling with MS STILL (30 weeks - and i've been sick since 3.5weeks!) and it seems to be getting worse again now... have also started getting headaches again which are driving me nuts - last night it got to the point of migraine and after 12.5 hours of painful broken sleep, i am still feeling very ordinary. many bouts of tears, and feeling guilty cos i just don't want to be pregnant much longer! i'm so sick of feeling so damn unwell and all i want is to meet my little princess and be able to feel human to look after her. i feel so guilty cos i know she is too little, and i keep having conversations with her about playing nice for another few weeks until it's safe for her to be here - but i think i'll be giving her early eviction orders at around 37weeks! probably doesn't help that i have developed a nasty pelvic tilt on one side which leaves the whole lower half of my body aching and me off to see the Chiro at least once a week, sometimes more. it's throwing everything out of whack and just making me feel blurgh!!!
having said all that whingy whiny stuff - when i'm laying down in bed and my little girl is playing with my hand or kicking her daddy, i love being pregnant. it's such an amzing feeling. Daddy even said he felt her trying to grab at his chin the other morning so i reckon she is just like her mummy - i always stroke his face when we're snuggled in the mornings. she is such a precious gift - i think i'm just getting impatient to meet her!
Hi Everyone,
BG - I feel for you feeling so yuck for such a long time. My MS only lasted from about 6.3 weeks to about 10-11 weeks. I can't imagine how hard it must be feeling sick for so long. Hopefully it will ease of and make these last few weeks more bearable.
Kelly - I agree with BG and Megan, it is normal for your weight to fluctuate especially during the first trimester. As long as bubs is growing well and you are keeping hydrated, all should be good. Thanks for your wishes!
Bee - I hope the UTI goes away soon. Thanks for following up on me! I've been around, just not had the energy to be posting.
Tania - My symptoms didn't kick in until 6 weeks 3 days, and then I was bowled over with MS!
TL - only 1 week to go until you meet Miss Charlotte! How exciting. I can't wait to hear all about it and see photos of your little angel.
Kaydee - hope your scan goes well today! I think the morphology scan is the best one of all. Baby is well developed, but not too big to be able to see a lot of detail.
Hi to Megan, Mels, Murph and FG and all you lovely ladies that I know I have missed.
AFM - had 39 week check up yesterday and all is still going well. Bubs is still growing well, amniotic fluid is still of a good level and bubs has a lovely strong HB. I have still been suffering from odema, but it is controlled by putting my feet up. Have to say it is a big adjustment from working full time to sitting around with my feet up. I am really starting to get BORED now. OB is not worried about the odema yet as my BP is still perfect, however he has booked me in for an extra appointment on Thursday just to make sure that it is still ok. The wonderful news is that bubs is fully engaged and ready to go at any time. So every time I get a twinge I am thinking "is this it????" I am so uncomfortable that sleep is not easy and very broken. I used to think that I would never say that I was over being pregnant, but I'm afraid to say that this last week I have really been feeling that. Then I feel really guilty because I have so enjoyed being pregnant and after what we had to go through to get pregnant I have always felt incredibly blessed to be in this position and to have had such a smooth pregnancy. I guess it is not much longer that I need to feel a little uncomfortable and it is such a small price to pay.
So hopefully I will soon have some news about our little one's arrival. Fingers crossed in the next few days!
Janie xxx
