Hi Daytona
I have joined the Belly Buddies due Jan 16th to 31st. I'm just not terribly active in posting at the moment. I don't usually have time during the day and I am too tired at night.
I guess you could say I am also becoming a tad clumsy - I spilled tea all over myself yesterday and I was getting so cold because I was walking around with a wet skirt!
-
hi spookie! and welcome.
daytona - are you calling us a bunch of fart asses?? lol. and i hear you about the absent minded professor - not as good as mail toast tho... but glad wrap now lives in the fridge, dinner plates in the bin and hand brake on a hill... well you realise once you start rolling forward. lol.
azzrenae - i'm sooo sorry to hear you are going through the stressful time. completely understand why you were MIA... i hope your results come back better than you expect (remember ms murph was thinking horrid things and it worked out for her). i'm praying for you and your bubs to be H and H.
miss mapgie, i reckon you could take murph out on the race to the date! lol. (sorry murph).
Murph - where would you move to??? would you stay up north?? i'm so glad you are feeling heaps more relaxed and you and dh are able to enjoy this time.
kaydee - that's most excellent news about the scan. and good on you for making the wraps. I was going to make my own flanelette nappies but worked out it was cheaper to just buy them. are you planning on making any baby clothes??? my mum made a lot of my clothes when i was little and they were gorgeous!
hi to all the other girls. must run. dh just home and we are going to look at another pram. we have one, a running one but have decided to get a smaller one cos the jogger takes up my entire boot space! so just buying second hand.
just want to say i really enjoy this thread because of you girls. you are all so supportive and positive of each other. and i find myself thinking about you all and how you are doing etc. so thank you.
oxxoxox
oh and my new saying regarding chips/sausage rolls and pasta is star trek inspired: "resistance is futile''.... lol. (what a dork i hear you say!)

Azzrenae. I completely understand the reluctance to talk. You are going through probably the worst time of your life and I only hope it is as quick and painless in getting the results as possible. I'll be thinking of you every step of the way and hoping both your little ones are healthy and happy. I hope that my talk hasn't upset you over the past weeks as you have been dealing with waiting to have the amnio done. anyway, good luck. My sister had flowers delivered to me with the note, "chin up, belly out and smile". Hope it's the best outcome you can wish for.
Daytona, your brain has made a nest in your what??? that was the funniest visual since the Californian redwood growing out of Jen's perinium!! this just keeps getting better.
I'm off to update three new 2010 baby's EDD. xoxo

Hi ladies
Welcome to all the new mummies-to-be! Congratulations! Wishing you long, happy and healthy pregnancies.
Azzrenae - thinking of you. Please let us know the results. I hope you're doing ok.
AFM, well, same old really. I'm even boring myself at the moment! My back is still so sore, so I'm not doing much at all. But I've been thinking of you all and thought I'd race on to catch up and say hi. I think that as soon as I can get some proper sleep things will look up. At the moment the pain wakes me up so I'm pretty useless all round.
The boys are really kicking now! It's the coolest thing. I have found myself just staring down at my tummy waiting for the next one. My skin actually moves!
And yesterday I wrote a letter to them. I thought I would probably keep a preg diary that they could eventually read, but it's been such a tumultuous journey that I'm not sure I want them to see all that. So I wrote them a letter instead, and it felt lovely. I already love them so much :)
Anyhow, thanks ladies for the thoughts and the giggles. I hope to be back properly soon.

Just jumping on the neew thread and sending you all lots of :bellyrubs: :bellyrubs:
Big special mention to Smithy....it is GREAT to see you on this thread :happyforyou:
Baby Aaron is doing well can't believe he is 3 weeks and 1 day already.
Life is crazy but am finally finding the house again.
Best advise I can give you ladies, is get as much sleep in while you can.....I honstly can say 3 hour blocks are not the best but the joy of waking up to a beautiful baby makes up for any lack of sleep or a messy house ;)
Hope you all have a fantastic weekend!!

Smithy - Congrats babe - So happy to hear that you got your BFP. All the best for a H&H pregnancy.

Hi ladies
Thanks alot for your kind words, I am feeling really good im just going to get on with it til I get those darn results. I have my DD to keep me on my toes
Murph No your talking did not upset me as I didn't know then but it really did make me more aware of it so thank you for that, I was also thinking about you while this was happening and wondering how you were going. It happened so fast it took a week from start to amnio I didn't really have time to dwell on it which is a good thing in away.
Nicole 3 weeks already whaooo time goes fast. 3 hourly blocks I so know what thats like I think I was a walking zombie for a while. But close to 3 months DD started to sleep long as you drop a feed which makes a hugh difference there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Hi Everyone
Just popping in to say a big hello.
I'm exhausted today, spent most of yesterday washing a heap of clothes, towel, wraps etc for the baby so that they are all done and I don't have to worry about it so much now. Only problem is that I am shattered today, you just don't realise how much energy you lose when pregnant.
Just a question?? How long did it take for you all to start feeling movements. All I seem to feel at the moment are little tummy flips (like a rollercoaster) or twinges but nothing stronger. All the books and websites say that we should be feeling movement most of the time now, but just wanted to find out when everyone really started to feel those kicks & punches.
I know everything is going fine as this little one just keeps growing and I'm starting to feel pressure under my ribcage now which is quite uncomfortable. I have also noticed that early in the day my tummy is smaller but by the afternoon it is stretched really tight like she has moved out of my back and is out there on show.
-
kelly D - i didnt feel definate movements until 23 weeks, before then it was maybe once or twice a day from about 20 weeks i thought maybe thats the bub but give it another week or two and you will feel definate BANGS! its quite a shock sometimes at how strong it is, i thought i would never get here but now i wish he would tone it down a bit!
-
im having a yucky day :( home alone waiting for DF who I had a fight with to come home ( an hours drive away ) to take me to the ER in the last 24 hours i suddenly got achy body, cough, bad cold, sore throat and headache, now my temp is around 38 cant get it down and my face is BURNING its so red and my pulse is up, to top it off i have 3 exams this week one TOMORROW, secondly the one day i decide to go out to the shops which was saturday i get terribly ill, i really hope it isnt swine flu, my baby hasnt moved much at all today and im very stressed and teary, i dont want to have to go to hospital but i know I should. i have so much study to do this is awful.
-
mhb i would go to the hospital sweetie, just to get checked out and to also put your mind at ease, you probably wouldnt get much studying done anyway as you would be distracted worrying about bubba! you have been through so much already you dont want to put you or bubba at risk.
you poor thing, i hope you feel better soon and please let us know how you go
take care hun xxx
-
oh MBH, so sorry to here you are unwell and having a tough time. I have 1 assignment due and know what you mean... I am just want to get it over and done with... cos I am so scared bub might want to come out early and I would really be so distracted and might not complete my school work.
Hey Smithy, glad to see you in here... now my one wish is to see Possum in here and to remain here until she gratuates.
Kelly, I felt movement definitely at 18 weeks but only when I lay down. Felt a lot more movements after 20 weeks. Now, she wouldn't stop moving and sometimes when I am out shopping she would choose that time to elbow me in the bladder (mummy does not like, does not like you hear me!)
AFM, Well 37 weeks for me and only 3 more to go. Every is frightening me with the prospect of it arriving early. DH is away this week and I truly hope she stays put until he returns this Friday. Bub is definitely bottom up (since before 28 weeks) but this week I feel her heavy down there, got a feeling she is now engaged. Seeing OB tomorrow so might ask him then.
Hope everyone is doing well.
