lnb cxongratulations on the safe arrival of your boy. Well done.
AFM have my first ob appointment this afternoon. A little nervus really dont know why it is not like anything is going to happen. Will let you know how it all goes.
-
Congratulations on the safe arrival of Nate LNB - it sounds like overall the birth went really well.
Hope you are settling in at home well with your precious bundle.

CONGRATS LNB! :bluecheer::dance: Your birth story brought a HUGE smile to my face, how wonderful. Glad Nate arrived safely :D May he bring you lots of joy and happiness.
Saph - hope your OB appointment goes well this arvo. Nothing to be worried about. I LOVE mine, he is great and very easy going :D
Theresep - Hi and Welcome :D The first trimester is a very stressful time and you are forever looking for pg "signs" Once you have that 1st scan and see the amazing heartbeat, it will give you some relief. I didnt have many signs and was lucky enough to not suffer from m/s. Smells were VERY offputting for me! And I was hungry all the time, lol Feel free to ask as many questions as you like as there are lots of GREAT girls in here who can help you.
Grub - I have been getting the same period like pain down below as well. I asked my OB about it yesterday and he said it was normal with everything stretching inside. It was a bit concerning. Your 20 wk scan isnt too far away now, how exciting!!!!
AFM, saw my OB yesterday and he was happy with my scan results from last week. It looks like he is going to stick with the original delivery date of 4 November which is only 16 weeks away today, how scary and exciting!!! He will see how things progress between now and then. Hopefully I dont develop diabetes and my blood pressure doesnt get any higher. Its ok for the moment but since Im overweight, the extra pressure isnt helping. My ears have been blocked since the beginning of the week and after trying drops and ear candles, went to the doctor today to find out I have an ear infection..oops! He has given me antibiotics so hopefully it will start clearing up soon and I can hear properly again.

:bluecheer: for Nate!!! and JBM big congrats on the safe arrival. I was so delighted to read such a positive birth experience.
enjoy your little one! and thanks so so so much for sharing
:hooray: :hooray:
yay miss mapgie the end is nigh! only 16 weeks! that's how long i've got left at work so i'll be counting down with you lol.
and Kelly D big congrats. can't believe is only 100 days. that makes it sound so much less. I completley understand what you mean when you talk about the 26 week mark. it's a reassurance but like you said pregnacy is just going from one worry to another. and nd good pick up on the furniture! i like those wood one and we thought bout that but we are in defence and always moving so went with the collapsable option lol. your's sounds nicer lol.
theresep - this isn't going to help you one iota but your little brain will be turning and turning and thinking and worrying and stressing from now until eternity! it does get better after the 12 week mark but you worry about scans and bts and hbs and movement and labour aarrrrggghhh. try to live in the moment and not give way too much to worry. You can't control anything now, so you can spend the next few weeks going nuts or jsut trying to be joyful about the situaiton - whatever the outcome. i know that's harder said than done, but that helped me through. the minute i start stressing over something, i'd say "no" to my self and go make my head busy with other stuff.
as for symptoms - i was saying the exact same thing and all the girsl were saying "oh you just wait, you don't want ms"... guess what... they were right! yuk cack. you'll get there soon enough lovely. for you!
greenslw- what a stressy time for you my dear. hope it's just part and parcel of the whole shebang for you and nothing too serious. i do know that bleeding in pregnancy is common but haven't had any myself. take care of you.
hi to all the other girls. we just got back from the ob and had a little peak at bubba.. what a bruiser! can't believe how much bub has grown and it was moving like a crazy person (takes after daddy me thinks). anyhoo that was exciting. all is well and we are hangingn out for next week! ox
-
Oh LNB - congratulations!!!!! How wonderful. Welcome to the world little Nate!
Welcome theresep - wishing you a long and happy pregnancy! I'm sure you'll enjoy it in here.
KellyD - 100 days! Hoorah. Not long to go.
Greenslw - thinking of you. Sending lots of hugs your way too.
Miss Magpie and Grub -glad you enjoyed your scans. So nice to see them bouncing away up there on the screen isn't it! It's such an exciting time.
Hi Janie! Thanks for popping in. How's the lovely miss jasmine. I hope you're enjoying it all!
Saph - how are you doing hon??
Hi to Murph, Nicole, SMithy, Ella's mum, and everyone else - hope you're all well.
AFM, well, I am feeling so up in the air!! My ob tells me that twins on average come at 35 weeks. Hello! That is only 9 weeks away! Argh!!! 10% of twins come at about 31 weeks (I hope hope hope hope mine aren't in that group) but if they do, then that's only 5 weeks away. EEEK. And at the very latest they're coming out at 37 weeks - that's only 11 weeks away. Goodness me. It's suddenly very very real. Wonderful! But very real.
Thinking of you all
Jenx

LNB, Congratulations on the safe arrival of Nathaniel.:confetti: Enjoy being a Mum!
Miss M, hope your ears clear up soon. Great scan results.
Grub, good to see your little one is an active bubba. 16 weeks until you finish work... that will go by quickly!
Greenslw, thinking of you. I had bleeding at 12 weeks too and everything worked out ok. Keep us posted...
Theresep, congratulations on your BFP. The first few weeks are scary but seeing that little heartbeat will ease your mind. Best wishes for a H & H pregnancy.
Kelly, sounds like you're really getting organised now! I bet your nursery is looking lovely. I've stockpiled nappies too... anyone would think the shops are going to stop selling them once I've had these little ones. I also figured it was a good way to spread the cost out over a few months when they're on sale.
Jen, it starts to become so real once you pass the magic 26 week mark and begin to look at all the possibilities. Hope your little boys stay put right up until 37 weeks... In saying that, it's amazing what they can do for premmie babies these days. Hope you've been feeling well and your pelvis is back on track.
Hi to everyone else. Hope you're all well and cooking your bubs beautifully.
AFM, ob appt today and everything is still going ok. Taking one day at a time and hoping our twins stay on the inside for another couple of weeks. 3 weeks to go this Friday... probably should pack that labour bag, just in case. I've packed my hospital bag and DD's bag, need to make that final step. Planning on going for a tour of the hospital this Sunday. Have been having a bit of MS these last few days (hardly had anything at all in the first trimester). Ob tells me it's because my stomach is now squashed up high in my chest somewhere.. Mmm, bring on 3 weeks I say!
-
Thanks so much for your replies girls, today has been better for me, although i'm still swinging between going nuts and being joyful!!
Each time i find myself thinking about the 6 week scan, i'm trying to visualise the heartbeat, and the little embryo growing. I've not been big on using visualisations before, but am finding this is helping me alot right now -
thanks again, i'll be back soon with good news of my 6 week scan! :pregnant:
-
Hi Everyone
Just popping in to let everyone know that we had our 19 week scan today and we are having a little :bluecheer::stork-boy::itsaboy::babyboy::male::nappy:
Everything is fine, the limbs are a little on the short side, but Kim is only around 5 foot 1 and so are the rest of her family so it was to be expected!!!
Kim really wanted a boy, i didn't care, but i'm glad that Kim is happy IYKWIM!!!
Take care girls, going to get something warm on, this winter in Brisbane is COOOOLLLDD!!

Oh Kaydee MS comes back?!? ewww that sux, wow only 3 weeks how exciting
TwoMums congrats on Baby Boy :)
ATM no more spots :leap: I feel like I'm on a rollercoaster and I wish I was on the up all the time, but that's not normal. I think I just want to be safe and there is no such thing not for ages anyways. So at some point I'll have to trust it's all ok and tell the rest of the world.
Oh I'm showing ALREADY, my tummy is deffinatly pg looking, mum said she did too so I guess the baby will tell people for me soon.
Off to a meeting today (yawn) really just want to bludge and do nothing. Maybe I'll sneek out early ;)
Have a great day and thanks again for your support. :grouphug:

kaydee - oh i wish i could say i only had 3 weeks to go! are you being induced or have a c section planned?
murph - my EDD is going to be the 13th of sep now not the 14th i didnt realise i had stuffed it up by a day but that one day is so important when it comes to the ticker!!!
AFM - baby is still inside, ive had no itching luckily so havent gone back to hospital got 2 appointments next week then i have to do 4 weeks at allamanda private hospital for university, it was meant to be 8 weeks but i obviously cant do that, so ill be working fulltime on me feet all day for 4 weeks for no pay at 33 - 37 weeks! im not looking foward to it! im in the surgical ward and being a private hospital it should be pretty layed back. i do the other 4 weeks in november and going to miss my little bub like mad but then i graduate! oh i dont think i mentioned im doing my advanced practices in theatre nursing and didnt want to quit 4 years into the degree so im marching on! so expect to hear more whinging from me in a weeks time!
-
Oh ladies, i'm posting again with not such good news, i've had such a scare today.... took the dog for a walk, and started to bleed lightly - called my ivf nurse, who said go and have a BT, so did that, then had some acupuncture while waiting for results.... acupuncturist said my pulse felt really strong to her, so try to relax (!!). Waited forever for BT results.... they came back good - hcg 7840, and progesterone fine. FS not overly concerned, and i know that quite a few ladies do bleed during pregnancy, but bloody hell it rattles your nerves when it happens! It is still such early days for me, i'm only at 5weeks. This is 100 times worse than the tww!
:crossfingers: the bleeding buggers off!
-
LNB:P Congrats on the arrival of Nate. Enjoy your life as a precious mummy.
Kaydee: Wow on 3 weeks until "D" day or sooner. Hope all goes well for you in the next couple of weeks.
Greenslw: Good news about no more spotting. Lets hope it stays away for good now.
Theresep: You did the right thing and so long as your numbers are growing that's good news. I think an afternoon of putting your feet up is needed.
Twomums: Wow Megan, a boy... Congrats.
This thread is looking so Blue... Come on I hope some of you newbies have some pink on board.
AFM: OB appt today and all is well. Now on 2 weekly appt's which really seems to make the end seem closer. Have booked in for our 4d scan for next Tuesday, can't wait to see her little face and fingers & toes.
Big hello to everyone else. MMM wonder how Kahlan is going, her little one must be here by now. Can't wait to hear from her to see how everything went.

Need to have a DP vent. Hope this is ok.
DP has been working really hard and I've been there for him, making sure he eats listening to his stuff. And today I get DP grump like I haven't seen for ages. The rout of all evil is MONEY.
He finally did our revised wages with welfare etc and his money has dropped 200$ a fortnight, Which then got the responce. "well I'll just go back to truck driving" I had a zombie, No worse than that a TREX grumpy, eat sleep and the occasional BD. What a horrible life that was, he was so happy with his day job, and now even dispite me saying "I'll pick up the slack" I got a "I have to pay for MY son" responce at which i burst into teers.
He has no idea. I don't want to be the only care giver for his son and our baby. I can't cope with the TREX I had for a year. OMG
Last night I realised that I have no girlfriends left  the only people I know are either friends of his friends or workmates who I haven't told anything about pg. All my grilfriends have moved away or become totally different. I'm a big sook and I know it but as I pulled in the driveway slumped on the stearing wheel and sobbed for like 15 minutes I realies just how little support I have especially if DP is no longer around.
Missing Sister in law so much and just want to run. Which would be a funny site in itself.. Oh I hate my hormones.
-
 omg finally double digets so excited

Hello lovelies,
firslty, Smithy, you are a champ snoop detective! Thanks for the link. I've been looking but i'm just not in your league :D
I've got lots to catch up on but have been following everyone. So in no particular order and just from memory, I will mention just some of you.
TwoMums: great news on your little boy. So glad to hear everything is going well for you and Kim.
Greenslw: I will PM you on the most recent stuff about DP as I can't really cover it here but you need to work out your priorities about looking after this baby and minimise stress from your life. Stress is responsible for so many health problems. My big belief is that women can have everything (as the saying goes), but just not all at once. We need to be able to sit on the sidelines occasionally and do the best for ourselves, which is actually also best for the other people in our lives. I'm not saying that everyone can drop out in the Daintree as I have, but mate, both DH and I let go of the good jobs and the high stress to concentrate on the life we wanted (and needed) and don't regret it for a second. We'll join the rat race again somewhere sometime but for now, the main thing is just to concentrate on what really matters, love, health and happiness. Take care.
MHB: I can't imagine what you have been through but it sounds really dumb to say it, I'm really proud of you. I know what uni entails, I know what a fairly straight forward pregnancy entails, but I could never do what you have done and are continuing to do and I understand why you are pushing through it to finish your final year. It's an enormous achievement. the only thing that could have made it harder is if you had to go through with IVF to get here. Luckily you managed that on your own and hopefully, your birth will be the same. Fingers crossed that all your symptoms settle down.
Jenc: re the pregnancy comments. OMG how rude people can be. do people still really think it is a compliment to accuse someone of having an eating disorder??!! It's hard enough as it is without that ignorant cr@p. I'll never be accused of being undrweight, but I spose just healthy weight. You are doing a fantastic job and you know that we all respond differently to the changes we're going through. I get the comments of not showing, not looking so far pg and everyone says it as a compliment, unaware I have made a special effort to look like the proud preggas chick and feel a bit deflated:rolleyes:. I guess we have to just build ourselves up and stuff what anyone else thinks. My DH tells me how amazing I look and he knows the changes and is in love with every one of them, so that's enough for me.
Smithy: how is that MS going? Are you trying all the different remedies about eating? I got some good tips off BG and Janie and still follow them although my main issue is indigestion daily now. Not sure where Jasmine is doing all her partying but I'm pretty sure she has moved the furniture to make more room to boogy in there! I feel closer to spewing with indigestion than I did with MS. Any tips?? Fruit tingles are no longer that effective, though they were great at first. Now I have discovered chewy mint Quick-eze (old man lollies:doh:). they're okay but wouldn't want to live off them.
So my tips for MS courtesy of others who helped me along the way. Eggs, eggs, eggs. Hard boiled stand by snack, soft boiled with toast soldiers for a good start to the morning and hard boiled before bed at night. It seems to be the protein I need. Can you stomach the thought of eating them? they are my complete saviour.
As for Jazzy's update, I am sooooo in love with this little person I can feel inside me and DH is just so amazed by everything. Despite being told the minute I started feeling her move that I would be getting all the big kicks soon enough and not loving it, I think I have been lucky just having her company for a few weeks now and she hasn't stuck the boots in yet so we have been having lovely plays and DH is trying desperately to catch her at just the right times and talk to her. she is shy though and backs off. I'm sure the fun will end soon enough but I feel pretty lucky to have had this amazing time to feel her and I will be excited to know when it happens for you girls. Miss Magpie, I was quite late in feeling her movements. It wasn't really until 22 weeks that it really started so you will be there before you know it and it's just lovely. Suddenly, you don't need scans to know that your baby is healthy and when they are hungry and active and you actually start to feed the baby and know its needs. Okay, I'm a tad emotional today, so I will end here before I get teary thinking of all we have been through. Too late!
-
Greenslw: I wish I could give you a big hug in person, I know exactly how you feel about having no girlfriends around to talk to and to be a shoulder to cry on. You will find that money will always be in the back of your mind, while we are all doing treatment and working it seems like we will all be able to cope on one income but generally when reality hits (especially for our DH's) I think we all start to worry.
When we decided to embark on this journey we knew that we couldn't afford to stay in Melbourne and pay a Mortgage and live on one wage, so made the decision to sell up and move to the Country for a better (ie: more inexpensive) life. The major downside however is that we left all our friends behind in Melbourne and no longer have the option of just being able to drop in when you need to.
I have been having my own worries lately about DH's job as his contract is up in Sept. Things like will he get another job, if he does then he won't be able to take time off when the baby arrives, will he have to commute back to Melbourne everyday (3 hrs of commuting) and then resent me for it etc. Well it seems like he is going to get another contract extension... whew... hopefully until Xmas at least so at least we are guaranteed income until then and he will be able to now take the time off. Such a relief...
Anyway, too much about me... Sending big belly rubs to you all....
-
Thanks for your kind words Murph and KellyD. I'm feeling less sad today. Still bit sooky about not having a girlfriend to have a cuppa with a winge about Dp and life in genral.
DP was very sheepish when he got home last night, and we agrea to talk about the work thing. His mate was down who works 2on 2off in a mine and he seams to thing that would be a good job for DP :wall: men really don't get it do they.
KellyD  seams like I'm not alone, fingers crossed for an extension.
Murph :D sounds so nice you describing Jazzy's movements, Something to look forward to :D
Well done on double digits Smithy
Theresep How's today treating you? My bleading stopped and wow your numbers sound good so I'm hoping you have good news for us.
MHB some people just aren't flexible are they
-
Oh Greenslw  I totally sympathise with you. Being pg is supposed to be a HAPPY and EXCITING time, not a time to stress about money but all of us have the same issues. I too am stressing as my DP just found out recently (after a DNA test) that he has another child. As you can imagine I was both angry, shocked and upset when I found out as it was something that should have been sorted out a long time ago, not when we were going through IVF. He was never sure if the child was his and the mother named someone else on the birth certificate so he never pursued it and its come back to bite him 15 yrs later. Anyway, his wage is now DRASTICALLY reduced and I earn $200 more than him a WEEK so thats a huge difference. We are now comtemplating me going straight back to work after I have used up my long service leave and him taking paternity leave. Its a heartbreaking decision to make me being away from the baby, especially after all that Ive been through to get here but we may not have much choice.
I can only imagine how hard it would be for you with your DP being on the road or in the mines and you having to do everything yourself. Take care and Im thinking of you.

Hi girls,
Thanks Smithy for posting the link. I was so busy with the bub to write more.
Congrats LNB, seems like our children shares the same birthday.
To those who are not aware, my little girl was delivered on Wednesday 8th of July (one day late), weighing 3.44kg, length 47cm. Her name is Lyla.
I was having painless "tightenings" around my belly the whole of Monday 6th of July at a somewhat regular intervals. I didn't know it was contraction until I felt like my period was coming (I don't normally have period pains, just feeling heavy). But it disappeared when I went to sleep (or at least I was not conscious to feel it). The next morning it return and by that night I was getting it every 5 mins or so (as indicated on last post). I knew it was contractions by then. My cervical plug gave way at 8 pm (just so you first timers know, it was like glue with some blood and about the size of a 50 cent coin.) I rang the hospital and they told me to call back when I get pain with my contractions. I went to bed and was woken at 1:20 am, went to the loo and so streaks of blood, rang hospital and they said to come in for a check if I wanted. Woke DH and went to hospital. Contractions were 5-6 mins apart but still painless. Hospital gave options of staying or going home. Opted to stay. Water broke at 4:55 am which contractions became very painful then and continued to be so until 12:06 when I delivered my girl. I had a some tearing but all is well. Total labour time is 8 hours which they say is pretty good for first timers.
It is all so worth it girls. I can't even recall the pain now, though I have to say because of the tearing, the pain after birth is more memorable than the birth itself.
I am well but am struggling with breastfeeding. Anyway, with this issue I better jump onto another thread (I have gratuated yay!) to discuss with the appropriate group of girls. Can't wait till you guys join me.
Take care
-
oh miss magpie big hugs for YOU! i can't even imagine having to go back to work when i didn't want to.
as for feeling isolate - i too am a sad sole all alone here. we are in defence and have moved to this area for dh's work. we'll be getting posted probably to darwin xmas 2010 so when bubba is 1 and then will have to start over again. But i knew what i was getting in for when i married DH and i'm a pretty adaptable, positive person. Still sometimes it gets you down and is so hard, particularly being from a small country town where all my girlfirends have returned and having their babies together :( one thing is i absoluely treasure my friends and make a big effort to stay in contact with all of them. it's paid dividends and i am much closer to them than before despite the distance.
if it helps, it does get better. after about about 2.5 years it was just better. the homesickness just sort of evaporated and this became my life, not longing for something so far away.
as for the money situation - at least we have job surity and DH will get time off around bub's due date. so we don't have that stress. plus with the posting i probably won't be returning to work. still our plans for DH to take long service leave for a bit next year are kaput as he's just got a big promotion and is starting a new, demanding role (but it's great for the career and will ultimately mean i may be able to be a sahm :D )
i really feel for you girls facing these stresses now. i hope you can sort something out that you can live with, even if its only temporary.
:loveshower::cheer::cheer: Just saw your post Kahlan
huge congrats on the birth of LYLA - what a gorgeous name!!! oxox
-
:dance::dance::dance: YAYA KAHLAN.. CONGRATS HUNNY.
sorry if i shouldnt have posted the link but a few of us were very inpatient hun pmsl :p
again CONGRATULATIONS
WELCOME LYLA
-
Hi again - Greenslw, thanks for asking of me, especially when you're feeling down yourself, hope you've got a smile back on - i'm doing well! My bleeding stopped yesterday afternoon. Sorry for tmi, but i passed a small clot, then after that, there hasn't been anymore bleeding, thank goodness! And, as you said, my numbers were nice and high, so this is why my FS was not too concerned :) I'm officially 5 weeks today! And it still sounds so surreal to be saying that!!
Best wishes to all :)
-
Thanks girls.
Thank you so much for all your welcoming messages. I havn't been back online since my origional post as i have been really, really ill. The bub seems to be going really well. Had scan at 8weeks, 3 days. Just the one bub inside. Was certain that it was going to be two with all of the sickness i've been experiencing, terrible vomiting all day. Ulcers in my mouth and down the back of my throat, blood noses. It's painful and nearly unbearable.
I swore that i would be grateful no matter what happened to me. but it's becoming difficult. Anyone had any experience with 'all day sickness'? Any suggestions?
How long did it last for you? I can't wait to feel a little relief.
Anyway, sorry to complain. Hope your all keeping well. xoxoxo
Oh yeah, my due date id 21/02/10 xo
-
Kahlan, Congratulatulations on the birth of Lyla. All the best!
Smithy, congrats on making it to double digits! Hope your MS has eased and you're feeling better.
Theresep, glad your bleeding has stopped. Hope you can relax a little now. Your numbers sound good.
Wavegirl, you poor thing. Maybe try small dry snacks and some MS ginger tablets from the chemist. Have heard a dry Premium biscuit and a piece of green apple before getting out of bed helps... I've had lots of bleeding noses with this PG. Just about everyday. Checked with ob and he says that's normal for some women.
Greenslw, glad you're feeling a little better today. I think we all have days when it all seems a bit too much. Take care hun.
Hi to everyone else. Hope you have a lovely weekend.:wiggle:
-
Hi Kaydee how's week 35 treating you?
Wavegirl, oh my that sounds like full on to me. I haven't had anything like that but major pimples and ingrown hairs. Have you asked a doctor if you can take anything? Vit B is sposed to help ulsors.
Theresep, glad to hear. Bleeding is scary at any stage but when it stops it's a real relief, hope you're taking it easy too.
MissMagpie, That makes me so angre for all of you esp the child 15 years imagine all that your DP and child have missed, Grrrr some women are a bit selfish or maybe a bit head in the sand anyways what a bomb shell for you all. I earn more than my DP and we have had the conversation, I think a mix of both is best me part time DP part time and nanna 1 day. But if push comes to shove DP will have to stay home. Hard for me but better than child care. Not under a year for me.
:leap: congratulations Kahlan and welcome Lyla (lovely name)
Grub thanks for sharing all that moving sounds exciting but isolating at the same time. Darwin is lovely though :D (dream location for me) NO MORE WINTER!!
ATM home alone :D DP is away at his hous Step Son is at his mums, just came back from my mums and junk food hehehe. she couldn't keep it in anymore, she told her friends she's going to be a nanna again. I was glad. I was thinking it's time for mum to be able to tell the world.
Spoke to my boss today back from Greese OMG her daughter got married with 350 guests! poor girl how scarry is that. But that means only a few more sleeps till I can let the cat out of the bag myself. Oh I can't wait. Little nervous but in the end it will be good to make it all real.
Have a great weekend all. :grouphug:
-
Congrats Kahlan on the arrival of Lyla. What a fantastic name. Hope you enjoy your new life as a mummy.
-
Hi Greenslw, 35 weeks is very exciting!! I'm so desperate to make it to 38 weeks (considered full term for twins).. I just hope these little ones hold out for a bit longer. I have good days when I can be on the go for a lot longer than other days. Just get tired and a bit achy if I over do it. Nana naps have made a come back... our DD has been awesome letting me rest when I need to. She covers me over with a blanket and asks me if I need a back rub (so sweet!). Thanks for asking how I'm going.. Hope you enjoy your day - sounds like an empty house is a good chance to curl up with a good book or DVD. GL telling your boss.. I'm sure she'll be thrilled for you when she's sees how excited you are with your news.

Thanks for the words of encouragement Kaydee. I think you're right just being as excited as I am will make anybody happy for me. Especially when I say I will be back to work in 12 weeks, which is really what any boss wants to hear (just will leave off the part time bit) hehehe. Wow 38 weeks isn't that far and DD sounds like a jem. Hopefully as helpful when bubble and Squeak come alonge. Do you know pink blue?

Greenslw, part time is a great way to balance work/home. I returned to work after DD and have been part time up until I went on leave again for these little ones and it really is the best of both worlds... as long as you're happy with whoever will look after the little one.
We didn't find out pink or blue... If the old wives tale of how you carry tells anything though, I'm thinking blue. My bump is very compact and all out the front - it gets the gawkers when you're out and about because from the back I don't look PG. With DD, I was much wider. Time will tell soon enough! We've got our 8 names (4 first names, 4 middle names) ready to go whatever the outcome. :D

Kaydee that is fantastic to reach 35 wks im so happy for you I am hunging for 25 wks at the moment only 3 wks to go. I reacon its a boys year this year as most of us are having boys. DD is so cute looking after her mummy how do you think she will go with the twins?
Can you tell me what your fundus is measuring at? Mine is measuring at 30 wks and im only 22wks that is freaking me out a little. Im also finding at hard to get cumphy. I honestly don't know how you could move at 38wks I hope your last few wks go quickly an smoothly for you.
Congrats Kahlan Lyla is a beautiful name I hope your stiches get better I to teared a bit with my DD it didn't bother me when I was in hospital but when I got home it was terrible I tried everything even a salt bath which helped alot. I hope the breastfeeding gets better I know it can be a hard and stressful time I found the CHY nurses very helpful but in the end I had to go to bottle feeding which didn't bother me just as long as DD was putting on weight I was happy.
Greenslw and Missmagpie that terrible word finances if you have to go back to work early be it f/t or p/t then you have to do it don't feel guilty about it. Wouldn't it be lovely if all work places had childcare you can poppin when ever you want to. I have chosen to stay at home which means we have to stick to a budget but if we couldn't afford it then I would of gone back to work.
Missmagpie what a terrible thing to go through with DP after 15 years I can't imagine what that would feel like. I hope you are looking after yourself.
Wavegirl sorry to hear about you MS I hope the other girls have some remedies for you fingers crossed there is light at the end of the tunnel and you can start enjoying your pregnancy.
Theresep I to had some bleeding at 5 weeks but it went away after a couple of days the nurses told me it must of been old blood but I was stressing out the whole time then I saw 2 little heads and heart beats at my 8 wks scan and the stress went and was taken over by shock  can't wait to hear about your 8 wks scan I know it must seem so far away for you but if you wanted you can ask for an earlier scan.
AFM had another scan last week and the boys look good so far but still worried about the fluid levels so more weekly scans for me. I also went to red cross last week to get some prices on hiring 2 capsule and it was $80 for deposit and $130 for 6 month hire but they had some ex rentals they were selling for $60 each so we bought them, Its the first thing we have brought for the twins so very excited. Red cross have to sell them when they reach their 9 year mark as the life span of capsules are 10 years ours runs out in 2011 they sold them to us earlier then normal. Also a friend has a near new cot they don't need any more so are giving it to us. So now I am on the look out for a double pram and 1 more rocker. So much for waiting til I was 25 wks :lol:
Hope everyone is having a good weekend
