Thanks everyone I am feeling much more relaxed now. Even going to put our pram on layby as it is more than $100 off in the sale and it finished this weekend. I think in th end with the toddler seat we will save $200. That is too much to pass up on.

Yay Saph!! Good news.
MHB - TAKE CARE!!!! Thinking of you.
Jenx
This place is exploding with twins:D Saph, I'm so happy for you. Happy day:confetti: I got your news last night after work but tried not to get worked up after midnight so just had a smile to myself instead. Exciting savings on your pram too. Yay!
Gotta go, Dad's about to arrive. My first visitor in over 6 months...yay. and he is bringing the first of my baby loot from the southern rellies. Woohoo.
Greeenslw, good advice form KellyD...oh how I wish that's what I did. I have nightmares just hearing the words nuchal screen and I have thrown out all evidence that it ever happened. Good luck whatever you decide mate.
Saph, thats GREAT news!!!:dance: Hopefully you can now relax a little :D
Hi lovely ladies,
Sorry I have been MIA but just got back from sunny Darwin and it has taken me a couple of days to catch up on everyones progress.
Saph those are fantastic numbers now try and enjoy your pregnancy now.
KellyD I am going through the samething with the stretching pains on my leftside and around my rib cage as well but I do the samething as you and lift up my tummy for some support and I am only half way there imagine when I get closer to the end OMG isn't it amazing what our bodies can do.
MissMagpie thats great your scan went well you are one of the very few that has not found out the sex of your bub. Way to go on the purchase of 2 cots. I think I should start looking around now so stop hogging the cots on ebay :lol:. Im glad to hear your pregnancy is on track and your travelling well. Hopefully you will feel those little kicks soon its a great feeling.
MHB so sorry to hear about your scary time your having. I also ended up in the bloody delivery suit on sunday I had bad pain on my left side and I was thinking if I hear some poor lady screaming in pain I would walk out I felt I shouldn't be hear anyway we are not sure what was wronge but the pain went away after 5 hours. It must be something they do when your past 20 wks and having trouble because they told me I qualify for a delivery suit when I called?????
Greenslw I totally agree with murph its a personal decision.
BDT 2 beautiful heart beats isn't it a great thing to hear can't wait to hear about your 12 wks scan you will get blown away.
Murph its nice to have visitors it changes your routine abit you have to tell us what you got from your rallies.
AFM I had a scan this morning and the bubs are doing well not much change from last week which is a good thing to see they are growing nicely I still have to have weekly scans just to check their fluid but other then that travelling along nicely. Feeling heaps of movements and kick from 4 legs and arms it feels so surreal.
oooh Kahlan I hope everything is going well with you one of the other twin mummies in the twin thread is going through the same thing she went to her OB appt yesterday and was told she was 2 cm dilated imagine that.
sorry if I have missed anyone but it feels like I have been typing for hours.
Hi all. This is my first time posting on this sight, omg!
I am now 7 weeks and about five days pregnant. After about three years of TTC we got lucky on our 2nd attempt at ivf, FET # 1.
We replaced 2, 3day embies and find out on Wednesday 15th July if we are pregnant with 1 or 2? omg! At first i was terrified that the initial scan would show something terribly wrong, or that i wouldn't be pregnant at all! Crazy?
Now i'm so sick with nausea all day, that there is no doubt in my mind that i am absolutely pregnant. Wednesday will tell us more, how scary and exciting all at once.
Seph, we are very close in our due dates. I remember reading all about your struggle to concieve on a ltttc thread. I held my breath for you and am so glad to see you here now.
It's taken me a while to join in as it's taken a while for all of this to sink in.
Wish you all well with your pregnancies.
:welcome: wavegirl!! big huge congrats to you!
let the roller coaster begin! don't worry you are ging to stress this first trimester, it's a inevitable and you can't really stop it! but do try to enjoy this moment for yourself after so long.
good luck with your scan on Wednesday --- i cried when i saw ours. It's the only time i really cried at the doctors, and it takes forever to sink in.
even now i'm still saying to DH "oh my god, we're having a baby, I cna't believe it''... lol.
hi azz - oh darwin sounds sooo nice on this frosty morning!
saph - just want to ad my big congrats for you!! :)
howdy miss mapgie, jen, murph, bella, smithy, kelly, BDT, greenslw, mhb, neptune, kaydee

Hey murph, how many girls are on this forum now? effing tonnes!!! how good is that, that so many dreams have come true in 09!
hugs to you all.
Wavegirl, a big congratulations to you. Best wishes for a H & H pregnancy. :happyforyou:
Have a great Friday ladies! Bring on the weekend... we're 34 weeks today, Yay!!
Hiya ladies,
Wave girls I remember you to. so glad you have made it here, everyone is wonderfully supportive as I have been through hell emotionally in my first eight weeks. My due date is a compromise between us and the clinic. We counted from the time I felt the follicle go and they counted from trigger so we went in between. Hopefully it will come early anyway my DS did. Pregnant over summer wont that be fun.
I have to tell you out there if there are any other scrapbooking nerds, Huge one here. I found a poem sticker called your heartbeat and it is about hearing/seeing your babies heart beat for the first time. I have already done a page with our babies first pictures. Sad I know but it could be worse I could be drinking or smoking or other things to occupie my time. At least I get a pretty picture at the end.lol
Well off to do the groccery shopping and then to put our new pram on layby and then to lunch with the girls from work we are all on holidays but we go out for lunch every friday.
:hello: wavegirl, huge congrats hunni and welcome .
hey grub ;) and all my beauties have a great weekend .
9 weeks today
hi everyone,
hoping you all have great weekends.
i've just realised that tomorrow is my "50 days to go" milestone, yee-ha!!
(still dying to hear kahlan's baby news!)
mels xx
Well for the news you've all been dying for...:D:D well at least I have. My pram arrived. It's gorgeous! Even prettier in real life and so easy to put together and use. DH surprised himself with how excited he was and put it together in seconds, drove it around and can't wait to fill it and steal it off me for lots of long walks. How funny. The colour by the way is the prettiest aqua/teal and just perfect. the whole pram is just quality and finished with every touch. The so called foot muff is a full body big luxurious sleeping bag...I could go on. A very happy customer.
Suddenly our house has gone from no sign of babies to now after Dad's visit, nowhere to hide that we are expecting. Our house is so small and OMG, I told my sister to load Dad up only with clothes and stuff to suit 0-6 months. I started inventorising the 5 vacuum sealed bags of clothes and at last count had had 48 size 000 body suits, 27 singlets, booties, mittens, hats. The list goes on, shoes, socks all in perfect condition. we literally will never have to buy Jasmine anything but nappies. My sister is a huge shop-a-holic and like I said this is only the stuff for the early months. She has a storage lock up that I am going to raid in Townsville next month (since she couldn't get much together at short notice...mmm apparently!!!). Dad also brought up baby change and bath table which is excellent and more cool toys so the house is getting to be a little home for Jazzy.
By the way, welcome Wavegirl, sorry I'm a bit excitable ATM. Hope you get to knowing the feeling really soon too.Good luck with your morning sickness:welcome:
Oh Murph your pram sounds so nice. Enjoy the baby explosion in your home. Shopping is awsome.... :D P.S. thanks for the pep talk re test I talked with DP and cancelled it this morning. I'll wiat for my 18-20week scan to see little one again
Mels wow only 50. I can't wait for the 100 and 50. Got everything organised?
Smithy yaya on 9 weeks.
Kaydee another great milestone :D
Welcome wavegirl enjoy every minute.
Azzrenae I bet you're starting to feel full, so many arms and legs. It must be great.
Kelly D, I hope you found an outfit that will grow with you and the funeral wasn't too stressful.
ATM: Humph, I'm at work...... Doing the night shift because EVERYONE IS SICK or at a CAN"T MISS Party. I'm not happy. I worked 1-4 teaching, and 9-5 tomorrow teaching now with a nice filling of sleepovershift at work. We have a ready to pop young mum atm so I thought I'd better be here just in case. I don't feel that overwelmed now but when I found out I could feel my Blood preasure climb. Maybe this extra work was a bad idea. Oh well hopefully no more friday night fill in shifts. On the up side I'm making nachos for tea and get to sit and watch what I want on the work tv. Only down side is I need to stay awake to phone the oncall person at 11 to say AOK.
Have a great weekend all, I'm looking forward to mine when I get to it.
Oh brother SIL and the two cutest nephews in the world fly back to Canada Monday  I'll be a mess.
GreenslwI'm glad you are happy with your decision. You are really patient to wait until the 18 week scan but it will be so worth it and if you crack in the mean time, you can always just have the growth scans done as KellyD suggested without the nuchal. Good on you.
To all the new girls I have just updated the EDD (on the first page of each new thread, we keep track of your estimated due dates). If you don't see your most up to date details, it's because I either don't have access to them on your ticker or your signature doesn't list it. You can either PM your details to me or just put a note in your signature block of when you are due. I can't do the maths and count back if your ticker only says how many weeks pg you are iykwim (or if you don't have a ticker). Let me know if you need help.
Congrats on your special milestones this week...huge shout out to Ella'sMum...12 weeks today, how are you feeling?
Cheers,
Ange xo
Hey girls,
How's everyone doing, so many bellys in here it's lovely to see!
Hey murph, 12 weeks I got here and am so relieved, had 12 week scan on Thursday, it was amazing and such a weight off my mind those first few weeks are a nightmare of worries. MS is all gone too, so hopefully it's smooth sailing now...
Scan showed I had a healthy BIG baby with long legs (I assure you that is not from 5 ft nothing me), little one is measuring about 1 week larger so as I'm sure of dates, I'm just getting a biggy!
I'm so glad jazzy is keeping you busy with all her moving around, the movements are the best thing about being pg and can't wait for that feeling myself again.
Gotta ask some advice/opinions girls.... I play club netball, I'm know to be quite a physical competitive player, (that hasn't changed since being pg), I'm also known to fall over every now and then but it's usually more of an army roll with hands and legs taking the impact. Today however, I collided with another player and was knocked hard straight back flat on my back... Now I'm a little cautious, should I keep going or stop playing. There's only 6 games left till finals,by gf day I'll be 20 weeks. I feel I'm not being fair on my team mates (it was a teammate I collided with and she was nearly in tears). But on the other hand I love to play, we will most likely make the gf, I'm still playing well, my fitness is good and I haven't put on any weight yet which I think is thanks to netball. Any thoughts or advice would be most appreciated.
Take care girls, xx.
Ella's Mum - that's a tricky question and to be honest I think you just have to do what you feel comfortable with. I was a very full on runner prior to getting PG, and my plan was always to keep running as long as I could. I did A LOT of research on exercise and pregnancy and I think the main points that I gleaned from everything that I read was that you could keep doing what you are fit at as long as:
a)You don't overheat
b) Stop if you have any pains, cramps, dizziness etc
and c) Be careful of contact sports, especially ones where there are unpredictable movements etc.
Also, you are far more prone to injury because of the softening of your ligaments.
For me, even though I planned on running thru my PG, in reality I couldn't muster the energy in the first trimester, and by the time I felt better I had lost my fitness and just made the decision not to run until bubs is here. It was difficult not doing something I love and relied on, but I knew it was temporary! Plus I now walk for an hour every day and swim once a week.
If you want personal opinions, then I would be very wary of a sport where there is lots of falling and collisions. But it is up to you!
hi ella's mum
congrats on reaching the magic 12 week mark.
I too Neptune had grand plans of running through my pregnancy like some glamoursly fit preggy lady. HA!
I just could NOT phsyically do it. Have been walking on the treadmill and the other week thought i'd do a light jog at 8 speed --- I found my stomach muscles really really hurt afterwards. like they were strained/stretched from teh bouncing movement.
So ella's mum i've had to cut my exercise down completely to walking and fit ball pregnancy stuff plus pilates and swimming.
the advice I had was that if your body is used to it, it should be okay, however, I think contact sports require a bit more thought. YOu also might find by 20 weeks that you just cannot play 100% so you may be better off letting the team adjust now rather than pulling out at the most important time iykwim.
but if you are comfortable with it and your doc says Okay then you should go for it. Personally, however, I wouldn't play such an aggressive, hard-hiting game but I really think it's personal choice. Do take care of your knees and ankles tho as neptune said, everything is bit more prone to injury... and good luck!
I asked DH for a man's perspective on this one Ella'sMum and as I read him your question, he was cringing with each sentence. He took a philosophical view and said, that he really thinks you know the answer to that question deep down and need to look deeply inside yourself to find the truth. It's hard to tell people the truth if they are reaching outside themselves for an external solution, when the answer is inside.
Oh dear, and I thought I was the one studying psychology. My view is that I wouldn't do anything to risk the babies' health (and I know you don't want to either). It's just that netball is contact and unpredictable, plus there is your knees to think about. Your next fall could be on your tummy or you might get an elbow to your belly or worse. Gotta say I agree with Neptune and Grub. You will get bigger and fit or not, you are still carrying extra cargo and stretching your muscles. I couldn't even think about running (just couldn't afford to buy 5 bras to wear all at once!!!!):D Kidding, but even two is hard enough.
Hope you find the answer without feeling persecuted for your decision and there is always next year when you can return to the court and work off your baby weight.
:rolleyes:oh hun i would not be doing this in my own opinion wow all sounds very dangerous to me one fall and that could be it and why risk it when youve tried so hard for bubs ?oh hun im worried about you i think murph husband has a really good point .
Ella's Mum I am with smithy on this one. One wrong move and the outcome could be possitively horrific. I am not saying to stip excersing just stop the netball. I continued on at the gym with DS until I was 32 weeks and physically couldnt do it anymore. This one at eight weeks I am having enough trouble walking now as it is but will be ask Ob if it okay to start walking again on my treadmill. When My levels were all over the place at the beginning the clinic suggested I stop excersing and rest. You can only make a decision that is right for you and that you feel comfortable with.
AFM been having a little morning sickness, just feeling sick not vomiting so for me I am not even counting it as ms. With Campbell I threw up everything i ate and drank for six months and then just couldnt eat for the rest. (Best diet in the world) Very excited put new pram on layby I saved over $200 the mst expensive quote I got was $970 and I payed $658 for the pram and toddler seat.
 yay for the pram saph ,and hunny i hope you dont start spewing ,thinking of you xxoo
AFM...:sick:im always sick the last few days i feel like crap cant stop spewing ;) and lasts all day starts about 5am lol BUT I LOVE IT...
Morning Girls,
Thankyou all for your thoughts and opinions.... I know you are all right, it's only going to take one bad fall and that will be it.
So, I'm going to let the girls know this week.
Thanks everyone again, I hope you all have a lovely week.
xx Ella'sMum
oh ella's mum, it's so hard isn't it! even when i'm walkiing on the treadmill, it takes all my self-control not to ramp it up and go for a nice long run :)
good on you for making a decision that you believe is best for you.
but don't give away all the fitness!
ox
Ella'smum - I am so glad to hear your decision. Take it from someone who had a fall, and is now having to cope with a really serious pelvic injury. And I was only walking along the street! I think you've made the right choice, as hard as it was for you I'm sure. These little precious bundles of ours need us to be strong and healthy.
Wavegirl - yay! welcome, and congratulations. When is your head count? Maybe you have two little ones in there, and you can join the growing number of twin mummies to be!
Murph - sounds like you won the lottery with all that stuff! Bless families.
Smithy - hope the vomiting stops for you soon. Make sure you stay hydrated and fed.
I have finally sorted out the clothes into sizes, and have lots of cute onesies, but practically no singlets, socks, mittens or little hats. I can't help myself - every time I see something cute I turn into zombie-shopper and find myself shopping bag in hand wondering how on earth that happened!
I had a horrible dream last night that I was in the hospital going up to the nursery to get my boys and they weren't there. I couldn't find them anywhere. I was breathing funny and making all sorts of weird noises because DH woke me up to see if I was ok. It was horrible! I think that must be what they call maternal instinct.
I saw my GP at the end of last week and he told me he didn't think I'd put enough weight on yet. Which has upset me to be honest. I know I shouldn't listen to him as much as my ob because I really am under the care of the ob. I just happen to be seeing the GP because of my pelvis thing. But I am seriously sick to death of people gaping at me in disbelief when they find out I am 6 months pregnant with twins. They are either just incredulous and ask me if I am sure there are two, or they get quite personal and practically ask me if I have an eating disorder. It makes me feel like crap and I just want to tell them to get ********. So rude.
Anyway, I'm sure I'll explode before long. And the main thing is that the boys are a good size, growing well, and doing just fine. Ok, end of my whinge.
Hope you all have lovely weeks.
Jen
Jen as long as the boys are growing you dont have anything to worry about. I was so sick with DS that he weighed more then what I put on during my pregnancy and I was 7kg lighter than when "I started straight after having him.
Smithy hope the vomiting stops> I havent vomitted yet but not far off it in that last few days.
Welcome wavegirl I hope your first 12 weeks goes fast for you:clap::clap:
Jenc whinge away your boys growing nicely that all you have to worry about. some people carry twins differenly Im the opposite to you im hugh looks like triplets everyone gets a shock look on their face when I tell them my due date the say twins and their face still looks shocked but I just laugh it off. Hope your pelvic hasn't been giving you to much trouble.
Murph that great that your happy with your pram that one less thing you have to worry about and your bag of goodies sound great to.
Good afternoon girls,
Hope you all had a GREAT weekend! :D
Wavegirl - Congrats and Welcome  Hope you have a H & H pg! The first trimester is very hard. Hope it flies by for you. Ask as many questions you as like There are LOTS of lovely girls here to help.
Murph - how exciting about your pram!!! Its funny how a house can turn around so QUICKLY from no baby things to HEAPS, hehe. Family are great! My place exploded over the w/e as well.
Jen - you poor thing. Dont worry about what people say, as long as the boys are growing well is all that matters. Lucky you that you havent put much weight on, wish I could say the same
Smithy - hope your M/S subsides soon, its not a nice feeling.
Greenslw - hope your doing ok with your brother and family having left today. Take care.
Mels - WOW 50 days to go and counting! Getting close now :D
Hello to Grub, Kelly, Neptune, Azzrenae, Saph, Ella's mum and everyone else :D
AFM, went to my future SIL's house on Saturday and got all the second hand stuff from here. My nursery is now starting to take shape, VERY exciting  Picked up a second hand capsule as well yesterday and also won a bumbo baby seat over the w/e on ebay too, I have gone ebay CRAZY!!!! Am feeling well except for my back which is now starting to ache alot especially after doing housework or standing too long. Still not feeling any movement :wall: I am really hoping I can feel something soon. It doesnt help having all my extra padding as well as having the placenta sitting at the front.
Take care all,
Tania
sorry need a bit of advice myself today.
I stopped my IVF meds yesterday, no more progesterone pesaries or estrogen pills but now I have this overwelming dread that I'll MC cos the plecenta isn't making enough hormones. I know rationally I'm being stupid but what does everyone think?
I'm so glad not to be on the meds cos they're ewwww but scared my body wont pick up the slack.
MissMagpie thanks for you thoughts yesterday. I was a mess really hope they arrive home safe around 8pm tonight. Will miss my SIL heaps esp while PG.
Oh Greenslw I know that feeling so well. I was in a right state when I stopped at about 12 weeks. All I can say is to be calm, and trust that your specialist knows best. You wouldn't have been told to stop them if they were still needed.
Sending lots of hugs your way.
Jen
hi ladies
welcome to wavegirl!
thought i should update
well i had my appointment still got a fast pulse and my liver function is through the roof so have to get tested for them weekly as they think it may be obstetric cholestasis so i have to go to ED if i get jaundiced or itchy feet, strange! oh it also didnt help when the ob said that it can cause stillbirth and if the LFT's dont go down il be induced at 38 weeks! i have a scan on July 23rd (our anniversary) to check on the little ones growth and have a biophysical profile of the bub done so i hope all is well especially on that day! if not he may come even earlier due to his distress and lack of movements. I can barely breathe blocked sinus chest infection and a big baby inside me! i cant wait til this part is over! im such a sook!!! i remember thinking while TTC i cant wait to be glowing and pregnant and happy BUT boy was i wrong! also my boobs have become sooo sore suddenly, lost a bit of mucous plus this morning and have the runs quite bad so i hope he isnt deciding to arrive early on his own!
Greenslw: I know it is hard to go off all our meds as we get so used to relying on them. When I got my BFP my progesterone was at 80 so I had to up my dose from 1 pessary a day to 2 and then come 10 week date.... No more pessaries (not 12 weeks like some of you girls). I was anxious as you could imagine going from 2 pessaries a day to none before 12 weeks, but my FS assured me that the placenta would be working fine and that the progesterone support is just that support not all the progesterone required to maintain the pregnancy. By now your placenta would be well and truly taking over and having extra progesterone would not make a difference at all, just more cost to you. I hope that you are able to start to enjoy your pregnancy from now on, although we always look at the milestones to feel confident our babies will arrive safely.
MHB: What a shicking run you have had with your pregnancy so far. It is good that you are on weekly monitoring and that if anything does happen that your little boy is strong enough to be outside now (with help of course). No the ideal by any means but I'll be thinking of you and hope that things start to pick up.
Wavegirl: Welcome, I haven't had a change to welcome you properly as yet. But I look forward to sharing this special time with you as well.
AFM: Picked up our change table today and my mum & dad bought the wardrobe and tall boy for the nursery as well, which is being delivered on Friday. So our nursery will be pretty much all set up by the weekend. I went through all the clothes I have bought and also the hand me downs from my sister and it looks like I'll have enough now to last a while (which is good) so now just stacking up on the "consumables" ie: Nappies when they are on special. Already got heaps on newborns and am now getting the next size up, will probably even start getting the next size up again as they will eventually be needed, plus DH finishes his work contract in Sept and we are unsure if they will be renewing or if he has to look for a new job so while we have the money coming in I want to make sure that we have enough stuff to last us in case we have no income for a little while.....
MHB - just from my experience with what you are experiencing at the moment i wouldn't be straying to far from the phone. Crossing my fingers for you that everything is fine.
hi greenslw - i think your concern is completly understandable. I went off my crinone just a few days after my 2nd BT, so only about 4 or 5 weeks. I too was worried but I knew that no one would do anything to jeopardise my pregnancy and it's all good. Do try to put it out of your mind and look at the +ves - you've reached 12 weeks!!! yayayay.
MHB - yes i've also discovered pregnancy is NOT glamorous... it was much more romantic in my peeny little head before i got UTD. but you seem to be having quiet a run! that does sound like maybe bub has made his mind up! diahorrea and the plug hhmmm i think i'll watch this space...
anyone heard from Kahlan???
hi kelly d - it's so exciting getting all the stuff! what sort of change table did you get? we went with th folding cos we've only got a small place and figured it was easier for storage.
Hi Miss Tania! good pick up onthe bub stuff from the fam! i know what you mean about teh movement but i'm pretty sure i can feel bub. in fact probably about 90% sure taht it's have a whoopy-do right now! lol. but it's so subtle it's difficult to tell if its bubs or digestion lol. nope, just went again.... it gets stronger every day :) I really hope you can start to feel your bub soon. ox
hi azz and jen -- don't worry about hte comments from either end! so long as bub is good. everyone keeps saying to me "gee you are getting big now". lol. surprisingly for quiet an irrate person, it isn't bothering me... yet! I'm one of those people that will tell you very blunty if i think you are out of line lol. so maybe they are scared.
hi saph, murph, and smithy - hope are are all well.smithy, how's the ilness going?? hope it doesn't get too bad for you lady.
i know ive missed about 1000 people but do keep posting. we all can't reply to everyone but for me, I love just following what everyone else is up to and offering the occassional update/opinion when asked (or not asked lol).
afm. as said above. getting excited about feeling bubs. have ob appnt tomorow and the big scan next thurs where we'll be joining either team pink or team blue! very excited. at the moment my belly hurts low down like period pain and my tail bone kills. i think bubs is havig a major growth spurt as been very tired and v, v, v, v, v, v hungry :)
ooxox
Just to add pain to my worry I had spots. 1 1mm bright red, then second wipe the same again  this is just a pain in the but. Really, I know going off my meds would have no effect especially not within hours but the timing is so bad. I'm going to call my OB tomorrow but as it looks like what I had around week 5 I'm thinking it is unrelated spotting. Just a real pain. So distracting. I was thinking of telling my assistant at work but this has made me think otherwise. :wall: just when you think you're in the clear.
12 weeks is such an achievement but I think 16 weeks is a much better number for telling work/boss. I'm such a chicken.
Hi ladies, not sure if i'm ready to commit to this thread yet, as i've only just received my BFP, so it's super early days for me, but i just needed to air some thoughts that are driving me crazy and i know that you all have been through it before me!
I'm really having difficulties relaxing now that i've come down off the 'high' of getting a BFP. I just want the next week and a bit to go by, so i can have my 6 week scan and hear that little heartbeat! Boy, this wait is nearly worse than the TWW!!
I think what is making it mess with my head all the more is that i haven't yet felt any of the usual pregnant signs.... give me sore boobs and morning sickness please!!
Thanks for listening girls, and all the best with your pregnancies :pregnant:
Hi Grub: My IL's bought us our cot and matching change table about 8 weeks ago but the change table was on back order so just got it yesterday. We have the full on solid timber thingy with the change table part and the 2 storage shelves so I'm hoping it will last for this little one and hopefully a future brother or sister from our frosties as well. Can't wait to hear about your colour next week. More Pink is needed I say... Murph & I are getting a bit lonely with all this blue around. Now the pelvis pain, isn't it fun. I suffered from that as well and my OB told me it is my pelvis stretching to make room for the baby. Just wait though, I now suffer from stitch pains alot which is my uterus now stretching... I agree with you though, from the outside pregnancy seems so glam, but in reality it is so not....
Greenslw: Hopefully the spotting is just an irritated cervix and nothing more. I'll be waiting to hear how things are going for you.
Theresep: Congrats on your BFP. You will find that in the first 12 weeks you go insane waiting for things to happen, in relation to symptoms some girls get them straight off, others not until later and then some don't get any at all. I have never suffered from sore boobies and even now they haven't even increased in size and my MS didn't kick in until about 7-8 weeks and I was just feeling sick but never actually was sick. Hope you have a smooth 8 more months.
AFM: 100 DAYS TODAY... OMG on the countdown into single digits from now on and with Friday being 26 weeks for us that is another major hurdle that we have overcome. I have always told myself that if we get to 26 weeks and for some reason have to deliver early then the chance of our baby making it is now at good odds. Not what we want that to happen of course, but gives me some peace of mind now that we will be bringing home our baby at some time in the future. See girls even when you are this far along we always worry about "What Next"....
Congratulations and welcome to theresp and wavegirl..... Exciting/tiring times ahead.
Hi Everyone,
Welcome to all the new ladies and great to see how everyone else is progressing.
AFM, our beautiful baby boy was born last Wednesday at 5.16 pm, 7lb 10 oz and brings us joy every day. His name is Nate, short for Nathaniel.
I was due on July 5th and went to my OB on the 7th and the bub was still high and mobile and not even close to being engaged, my blood pressure had gone up for the first time in the pg and after a scan the amniotic fluid was okay but could get low if went too long, So I was booked in for a C-section for Friday afternoon, which we thought was going to happen as bubba had not moved in about 5 weeks .
So we got ourselves ready for a Csection for Friday and planned what we do for the rest of the week, I unpacked our labour bag on Tuesday night.
4AM Wednesday morning I woke for a pee and going back to bed had the stragest pain and I thought it was just gas or something. Anyway I had the same pains for a few hours and at 6AM had a showing and realised that it wasn't gas but possibly labour !
I woke my DH and by 7AM the contractions were 20 mins apart but very intense and I was already having to breath through them. We called the hospital and they said wait and hour and call back.
At 8AM we went to the hospital to be monitored to check my BP and bubs heartbeat but assumed that we would be home.
At 10 AM our OB came to see us and was amazed to find I was 5cm dilated and bub was engaged and we were in full on labour !
I started to use the gas at this time and it was great, it doesn't make the contractions go away but it sure gets you through them. My contractions were very quick and I moved to 9 CM dialted by about 2pm. I was exhausted and didn't think I could get through the pushing so had an epidural. If I had my time again, I wouldn't have had the epidural as I was so close to the end of the contractions and the loss of sensation when pushing made me feel that I was really doing it even though the midwife kept assuring me I was.
We started to push about 4pm but bubba couldn't turn enough to get through so we had a vacume assited delivery and with about 3 major pushes our baby arrived.
I can honestly say that I would do it again tomorrow as birth was just an amazing experience. I had a fairly easy delivery and escaped in tack with only a slight graze and one stitch so I was up and about the next day and have had very little discomfort since birth.
It is the most personal experience you can share with your DH and whatever approach to child birth is the best for you and nothing else matters when you see you baby for the first time.
I wish everyone the very best for healthy and safe deliveries and thank you all for your support in the forum.
Big belly rubs to all.
