Ohhhh.... CONGRATS KAYDEE Hope you are recovering well and your 2 buds are settling in. take care can't wait to hear more. xx
GL for ob appts today grub and kelly d - looking forward to hearing this afternoon.
BDT - congrats on 12week mark - it's natural to be a bit stressed waiting for the first scan and believe me it never really goes away! xx
Abig hello to all of you - keep baking away!!
AFM - have been a bit exhausted the past few days maybe my boys are having a growth spurt or maybe i'm just winding down after finally finishing work - it's been lovely just trying to relax and take it easy. Staring to feel little movements / bubbles / taps just intermittent and more in the evenings - it's nice and reassuring. I have my next scan on Friday so can't wait - one bonus of having twins is getting to see them every 2 weeks!!!
Just want to come in to congratulate BDT for reaching the 12 week milestone, woo hoo! I am so happy for you hun! About the scan, its just natural to be nervous about it and I am sure everything will be fine, yeah right, easy for me to say!
Keeping well all your lovely ladies, I hope one day (better be soon) I will be posting here officially....
That news has made my day! If you don't mind Kaydee, I might try to 'channel' you, to keep my little boys baking away to such impressive birth weights!!!!
And congrats to you other mummies who have reached such important milestones too. Sending lots of love your way.
kaydee..
a huge congrats you clever girl what great size bubbas.
bdt..yay for 12 weeks hunny
to you all a big hello and belly rubs.
afm.. not going so well im thinking of going to hossy if this keeps up im just so dam sick and nothing helps not coke, not maxalon, not dried bikkys.not water icys, not vegimite on toast not ginger omg nothing helps
Just checking in quickly. I am dying of ms and the puter makes it worse, oh so much worse
First of all CONGRADULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!! to all the new mama's! How wonderful!!!! To see the fruits of all our labours (haha pun intended) gives me hope that I am really having a baby and that this is not a blighted ovum as I have convinced myself. And all so healthy and happy, its just great
AFM, omg how the hell did I get this BIG so freaking fast? I am puking all the time, living on saxbys gingerbeer (sugarfree) and toasted cheese sandwiches and yet I STILL have managed to put on 8.5 kg' since the beginning of my cycle 10 weeks ago. Yes, you read that right 8.5 flipping kg's! I am a monster! I am only 7 weeks5days preg and I am nearly into the serious preggy clothes. Jeans no longer fit at all so thank goodness its so warm up here in Bris cos I am squeezing into last years maxi dresses.
Oh and wearing a support belt so I dont jiggle everywhere. This shiz is embarrassing! I am so glad none of you can see me right now. I am a hot mess lol.
My FS is still so selfishly away on holiday (how dare he!?) and so I cant have my 7 week scan til next week when i will be 8w3days. He better give me some of those big huge red jellybeans he keeps on his desk to make up for it! Until I actually see a little heartbeat NOTHING will convince me that I am really preg with an actual baby. I need to see to believe this time. I guess 10 years ttc with added medical disasters do that to ya.
Ok, gotta go clean the toilet AGAIN in preparation for this afternoons vile puking fest. I have been cleaning the damn thing 3 times a day because I imagine the smell of mens pee-pee everywhere and I cant bare it in the small room. My DH says I am definately imagining it because all shops, carparks and restaurants DO NOT SMELL OF PEE but I can smell it. I sure can. Oh jeeze, have started acid burping just writing about it.
Sorry for the lack of personals, its wicked hard with so many of us here. Please forgive me.
Ok, off to clean and gag.
Hugs to everyone,
Sammie

Sammie & Smithy: Your MS sounds dreadful, hopefully it will pass soon for both of you and not be a 9 month long process like MHB.
AFM: Had good OB appt today, I thought bubs was in a strange position (sort of diagonal) after her flip to tranverse on saturday and then partially back again on Monday. The OB tried to feel where her head was at and couldn't locate so he did a quick u/s to see where she was, and luckily for me she has flipped back and is fixed head down. She is a little bigger than our dates (29w 5d) and is currently measuring 30w 6d, which is good as there should be no problem bringing her a bit earlier via elective c/s. Will be organising more for her delivery date at next appt in 2 weeks, so looking good that she will be here in the next 8 or so weeks....YAY.....
My goodness Sammie - how funny - I am exactly the same - I can't stand to go into our kitchen at home at the moment because the smell of food makes me sick and am also cleaning the toilet too, as I think I can smell things. Also at work today we had some smelly clients in reception (sorry I am not meaning to sound like a snob), but I walked through there and ran straight to the bathroom and the thought of it makes me sick again! They probably weren't that smelly it is just me being sensitive!
Hi BDT big congrats on the 12 week mark lady have you breathed a little sigh of relief yet? it took me til about 14 weeks to really have it sink in "this is happening'' but don't worry you'll soon find something else to worry about lol
two mums - good to hear from you and glad everything is well. maybe all that moving will get baby moving! and congrats on ''it'' being a ''him'' - hello Noah! ox
how exciting bella, i hated the "is it, isn't it'' guessing of the first small moves. now i am left in no doubt when bubba kicks. good luck with your scan on fRiday,... was it this fri or next?
oh dear smithy! that sounds awful. but it probably would be best for you to get some more help. you can't go on like this. let us know how you go. i really hope it resolves itself soon lovey. ox
oh jeez sammie that sounds awful awful awful but amusing all the same iykwim. i'll just channel my mother for a moment "you'll look back on this and laugh one day''. i'm more than positive that doesn't help one iota, but that's all i got love. Hopefully you'll soon move onto being repulsed by the kitchen, like Bec big hugs for you tho love, it's no fun at all hey. ox
kellyd i'm really glad your little one has behaved herself and that's excellent about the dates. 8 weeks eeeek that sounds liek very soon! has it sunk in yet? I'm getting to the stage wehre i jus want to meet my little man.. i've been waiting for 3 years for him and am impatient now!
AFUS: had our obst appointment today. Turned up on time and waited 90 mins due to doc running late bbrrrhh (even called an 45 mins before hand and was told only 10 mins late tut tut tut). Anyhoo... all is well and bub threw in a few kicks as well so i stopped worrying! lol.
The artery thing was explained better to us and i'm a lot more relaxed about it now.
thanks for the good wishes and Kelly D for your wiggle advice. I will stop worrying about inadvertantly killing my child while sleeping. crazy bloody pregnant woman! lol. must go and find something else to worry about - hmmm will be back to report later lol
Thats great news Kaydee fantastic weights like jenc I to will channel you to keep my liitle boys in as long as I can. I hope everything is going well for you both.
BDT yah 12wks hope your scan goes well can't wait to hear all about it.
Sammie OMG thats sounds terrible I can only imagine what that must feel like I didn't get any ms and im not bragging I really feel for you ladies that get ms I really hope it passes soon.
Smithy that sound like a good idea going to hosi you don't want to get to dehydrated.
Grub am glad bub is doing well it does help when you get more info then you can understand it more.
Kelly Glad your OB appt went well I love OB appts you leave there feeling like everthing is ok. Plus listening to the heart beats leaves you on a high.
AFM still resting in hosi I had a lot of visitors today which was really nice. Im starting to get abit bored now and really want to be home with my DH and DD. I am hanging for my scan on Monday to see how things are going.
Hope everyone is baking nicely

Congratulations Kaydee on the safe arrival of Jarrod and Teneille. Enjoy your busy babymoon!
Also wanted to let you all know that we have a new LTTTC/AC mod Lenny and I know you will all make her welcome. There is a thread about it the LTTTC/AC area.

Azzrenae - Hope your scan on Monday goes well and your able to go home soon. Take care and am thinking of you.
Kelly - WOW, thats good news that your little one could be here so soon!
Sammie - you poor thing! Hope the ms eases up for you soon. Smells really turned me off too, I have gained a stack of weight as well and was a big girl to start off with, so know how you feel. Take care.
Grub - LOVE your posts, you make me laugh! Glad your OB appointment went well and bubs made himself known too!
BDT - CONGRATS on reaching 12 wks You must be so relieved. Good luck with your scan on Monday.
Greenslw - hope telling the staff went well and congrats on your DSS results! At least all the hard work helping him paid off
Twomums - so good to hear from you! Good luck with your move, packing is such a pain!!!! I too have an anterior placenta so not feeling lots of strong movements either. Take care.

Smithy - you poor thing. I hope your able to find some relief soon, Take care.
Hello to everyone else!
AFM, saw my OB on Tuesday. My belly is measuring 30cm. It should be 25cm He said maybe its due to the baby having a growth spurt. My blood pressure is "ok" but if it goes any higher, I will need medication to control it. Have to go for my GD test in the next few weeks so looking forward to that again...NOT! My hands are starting to get a bit puffy and getting lots of numbness particularly in my right hand Its very annoying when I loose sensation in it. Am feeling really tired too. Have a busy weekend ahead which wont help...DOH! Plus work is getting busy too. Finish work 8 weeks tomorrow and bubs arrives 12 weeks yesterday so counting down the days....WOO HOO!
hi ladies so much to catch up on and im wayyyyy too tired to try but i have read up on everyones progress!
just when i thought i got away with it i woke up with a dreaded HEMAROID!!! couldnt even give it the time of day to spell it correctly! i thought i would make it all the way without experiencing one of these "things" but im counting down the days as this boy is killing me i wake up short of breath all night and can barely make it up the stairs! ive got to pack my hospital bag still as well and buy a carseat and pram! im so slack!
today is my '7 weeks to go' countdown. I can't believe it. How did that get here so fast? I am crossing everything that I can hold them in that long.
I'm doing ok on bedrest. I'm not going insane just yet. The internet and a laptop makes life much more bearable. I've started getting DH is take a photo of my belly every week, and I'm writing a little letter to my boys to accompany each one, so that has been a lovely past-time.
I also still have a fair few things to arrange, so I have been making ph calls, pulling in favours from our lovely mums, and generally just trying to enjoy the down time because I know the minute these babies arrive I won't have a minute to myself again for years!!
hope you ladies with ms start to feel better really soon. I remember those days. yuck. But the good news is that they do pass. I found eating little and often, even when I didn't think I could stomach it, was the best approach. Smithy, yours sounds really bad - maybe a trip to the hosp wouldn't be a bad idea. As Azz said, you don't want to end up dehydrated. They can sort you out there
grub, you crack me up. I'm going to have keep popping back into this thread once my babies arrive just for my daily grub giggle !!
Twomums - hello! been thinking of you
And Azz, you know I'm thinking about you lots. I'm glad you've had some entertainment, and I know you must be desperate to be home. But believe me, it's actually so much more difficult to do nothing at home. Even though my house is clean and tidy, there is still 'stuff' that needs doing, and I'm finding it hard to ignore it all.
Tania - is it carpal tunnel syndrome?? There are things you can do while sleeping to help. Apparently if you sleep with your hand elevated on a pillow (although god knows how you keep it there all night) it helps a fair bit. I hope it isn't causing you too much pain.
MHB - you're getting so so close now!! Nice to hear from you.
Grub the staff Cheered me. They were so happy. I tottally understand the worries. I had chineese last night (bubs hates chineese) and had cramps this morning. I started worring but no more signs today. Glad OB went well and you're feeling better.
KellyD glad OB app went well and your happy with early Delivery date.
Congrats on the boy 2mums
BabyDreamtime oh Darwin I'm gelous.
Bella so nice to hear about your little taps.
Oh Smithy, I'd get yourself looked at that is ages now. hope you get some restbite soon
Sammiejam I think your body puts on what it needs too. Don't worry too much
Azzrenae glad you're resting up
MissMagpie when are you finishing work? My mum went into a long long long story about how when she gave up work her BP went back to normal. I'm not listening as I want to work till I pop but maybe there is some sence in an old ladies rambling? Hope you're feeling calmer.
MHB you're allowed to be slack.
JenC wow only 7 weeks not long how exciting.
ATM. So looking forward to weekend away. Oh had GREAT news today my DP's work mate's partner (confusing) is PG! 4 weeks. She had IVF and had 0 eggs! with her ex partner, this time no IVF just a happy couple and a miricle! I am so happy for them and So excited to have a BB IRL! Pretty cool to share this with someone who has had her own long TTC journey.
yay greenslw! i'm so glad you got such a lovely response from your workers. i found even the people i realy didn't get along with at work were excited when i told them of the bub. there's just something about babies that soften people
as a result of my pregnancy, i find people are nicer to me. one of the girls offers every monring to fetch my chai from the local patissiere (i only say yes if she was going anyway) and i don't have to fill up the printer with paper anymore! lol... shelf is too low, paper box too heavy and i'm milking it baby!
jen - what a lovely gesture.. writing ot your bubbies. are you writing about your journey thus far or how you are feeling or such? just curious you don't have to answer if you feel uncomfortable about revealing. i tried to do that months ago but it came out like the screen play for The Notebook (i could even hear the soppy music as i reread my work lol i'm not very good at that sort of thing). so i'd love to hear how you go about it
I agree those weeks are just flying by! i can't believe i'm nearly 23 weeks!!! that's astonishing, it has gone so fast and i hope it'll continue to do so! wanna meet my new man (sorry DH).
MHB have you got some cream? and remember to eat foods to help soften things up so you don't strain and make things worse. you have really earnt this bubbee haven't you? taek care of yourself. ox
Hi miss tania - good to hear from you but sad to hear you are having some issues. sounds like you really need that maternty leave to start asap. take care of yourself love .
grapes are good smithy but like the others said, don't get too dehydrated. oxox
azz - stay in the bed! i can imgine how boring it would be to be stuck in hospy and your family at home. you poor thing. and i alwasy find it's when you HAVE to stay put you can't, but every other tiime you'd love to spend a few days with your feet up. murphy's law... lol... no pun intended murph... promise
All the other girls who are finding it hard to keep up, please keep posting so we know how you arae going. Everyone understands if you can't do a full list of persies everytime
Have a great weekend all... we are planning on leaving the house this weekend and living again.. feel like i've been trapped in the house for months!
hi everyone
gee, news and time flies when you don't log in here everyday!
Kaydee - congratulations!! wonderful news on the birth of your twins
Greenslw - re packing for hospital (which you asked ages ago!), I just followed the list that my hospital sent me. It was pretty sensible - 6 outfits/wraps for baby, clothes for self (breast feeding friendly ie with buttons), lots of hideous surfboard sized maternity pads, breast pads. I have also packed a separate labour bag incl change of clothes, sweets, bathers for DH, ipod, camera (and anything else to try to distract you during labour). Amazing news re your friend btw.
Tania - I've also had carpel tunnel (numbness in the hands at night). It's very annoying and I believe it doesn't go away until after the baby arrives. Hope yours isn't too severe.
I can't quite believe I'm next in line (Murph thanks for keeping that list up!)...my obst said she doesn't think I'll be overdue which is nice to hear.
Thinking of you all and hope you are all well.
Mels xxx
