Krikkit, we had the same argument with our clinic. I figure this baby will come when it wants to come or more like it when it is told to come as I am going to be induced early.
Anyway have to have a blood test for slap cheek. And then will be monitored by ob closer, I think I might just take up camp in her office. ARRGH Can I just go to sleep and wake in twenty weeks.

Hi all,
Just a quickie as I thought I may be able to help with the conception dates vs lmp date issue. A UK IVF site I sometimes look at called Fertility Friends has a due date calculator on it which gives you the choice of lmp or egg pickup date (I think they call it Egg Collection here in the UK, although I should know shouldn't I!!) Since that is the day of conception it is exact. It will then give you an exact age of your pregnancy for today and a whole lot of information on what is happening at each stage.
I hope I haven't crossed any lines I shouldn't cross by mentioning a rival site!
Belly rubs to all!!!

Krikket and due dates
I just checked the UK Fertility Friends calculator using your dates and I am getting you are 5 weeks 3 days and due 21st May 2010. I had a mess up with dates as well from scans and my second sonographer got very angry with the first one for confusing a very simple situation. It annoyed me because I got excited about thinking I was a little more far along than they had first said (although by only a couple of days) but as the second sonographer said it would be impossible to count conception from a couple of days earlier than when they actually put egg and sperm together!!!
-
Krikkit, for IVF I'd calculate the due date assuming EPU was the ovulation date. Since I don't have a 28 day cycle I've always calculated it based on O day rather than LMP... I'm doing the same this time too - I O'd CD17 or CD18... FF has a due date calculator. Not sure if it's a VIP function? If it is I'd be happy to run your EPU date through it for you next time I log in and see what it says...
BOC, fyi, not always 3 or 5 day transfer - my first two fresh cycles were 2 day transfers...
-
Thanks poppyfairy, I have adjusted my ticker to have the new date, but I am sure this baby will show up when its good and ready.
-
Hi Krikkit, I found all that really confusing with my dates too. They give a bit of room for error and then when they do their measurements along the way they tend to go with measurements rather than the dates you have been using (even though you know the age and date of the transferred emby. My dates were up and down like a yoyo so I just refused to change them anymore. You'd be celebrating those baby milestones and then it's like they'd be taken away, which means alot in those early tentative weeks. I'd say just keep your own record of when you think you are due and you are probably more accurate.
KellyD, ha, you can see by the time that Jazzy arrived late for that dance party your little girl was having but holy dooly she has been making up for it. Okay, so I did drink coke and eat cream bun today and she is bouncing off the rafters and I have chronic indigestion! Thanks for telling me about your c/s. sounds like the best option given your problems. I was going to ask for one medically earlier on as I contracted that herpes virus no one talks about when I was young and silly and it has been that unshakable friend ever since. I have to be on tablets everyday or it rears its ugly head if I miss even one tablet. I just couldn't imagine dealing with the illness and pain with a regular birth but I'm not so worried about that now that I'm taking the tablets throughout. It's not a long term solution, I have to build up my immunity somehow but i've never heard of anyone having it so constantly being set off by absolutely anything and everything.
Neptune, I wanted to tell you a different story of the perfectly imagined baby's room and then maybe yours won't seem so bad. My house is soooo small, we have only one room (when Mum stayed last week, we set her up outside in a tent...sorry, the Safari Suite;)). So someone mentioned they were getting a wardrobe fitted this week and i had a chuckle. Don't call DOCS on me but Jasmine's bedroom will be exactly one half of a regular sliding wardrobe. I bought a gorgeous cradle that fits the space exactly with barely an inch to spare and DH and I are sharing the other side of the wardrobe for our clothes not our bed:p. That is my baby's room in with us. we have a huge bedroom but have very few walls as there are sensational views all around and it's all windows. we have to contend with strong sunlight, mozzies, and sandflies so have to have her somewhere we can contain her. Oh by the way, there are no doors on the cupboard of course. The cradle is the Boori/Kingparrot one on wheels. It's gorgeous and should last til she is 6 or 7 months before needing a cot (when maybe we will have a house of of own, but who knows where we will be when DH finishes his PhD). Even the change table and bath on wheels will be moved to allow us to use the loo or open the bathroom cupboards, so there is no clutter as such, it's just that this house is built by boat builders whose other house is their yacht (usually parked in the Carribean I might add!). It was not designed with babies in mind, but that's okay, they have very few needs in the first 6 months, bed, bath and boob and they're all pretty accessible. Hope you can get some room to access yours;)
Okay, better try to get some sleep again!

I am finally getting a script for my morning sickness. I think she said maxilon. Lets hope it helps. I was at the shop today and had someone tell me I am not very big. Exactly what every over weight person wants to hear. So I am a little happier today. Had blood test for slap check today and spoke to midwife about it. She said it is likely that I am immune to it and if I have had it they will just monitor the baby closer.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi ladies,
Just an update from me my ob came in to see me today and said she has me booked in for a c-section on the 2nd October I will be 1 day short of 33 weeks. I finally have a plan so am very happy. I am escaping on Saturday for day leave for my DD 2nd birthday can wait for that the only thing is I can't have a peice of her birthday cake because of my GD but I might lick abit of cream off the top for my daily diary intake
Drbeee So sorry to hear your news I was just telling my sister about your story she was going through the same thing.
Grub yah for the NO GD one less thing you have to worry about.
Keep on baking those little buns in the oven xxxxx
-
 oh yay AZZ the 2nd is awsom have a great day with your dd to hun on her birthday :D
-
Azz: Congrats on having your c/s date all booked in. DH's birthday is the 2nd so your bundles will be joining the "Libra" club.
Murph: You are such a card. Luckily for me my bubs undertakes her dance parties before midnight. It seems your Jazzy is a bit of a raver getting you up at 4.30am, just think of it as practice.
AFM: Not much to report here, had OB appt today. My blood pressure was a bit higher than normal, but no concern as I have fairly low blood pressure anyway so my numbers were still within normal range. Then had to get 36 week bloods and Strep B swab, even though I'm having a c/s my OB likes to have the swab done anyway incase my waters break before the c/s date. He did however make the comment today that we have a "nice sized baby" duh, my tummy is now 124cm round and getting bigger all the time. I was also told to just be aware of anything different or unusual as pretty much anything could happen from now on. So double checked hossy bag when I got home and going to try and keep everything up to date. Weekly visits from now on, which is only 2 more until D Day..Ahhh it is now so real.
Have a good rest of your day everyone. Big belly rubs to you all.
-
Hi Kelly,
thanks for the heads up on changes. I'll answer you here as I have to get in a good day's study today. So often I'm just so uncomfortable and sleeeeepy, but have promised myself a good day (no matter how much chocolate mud cake it takes)!
Are you kidding on Jasmine getting me up at 4.30? that's what time she drags her sorry butt home after an all nighter, that's me going back to bed at that time. It's payback I'm sure of it, I never went out until midnight and yep, dragged my sorry self home later than that:doh: My poor Mum! You must have been kinder to yours ;)
Azz, so glad to hear you are all on track for your c/s. Have a fantastic day escaping for DDs birthday on Saturday.:happybirthday::confetti:
-
Murph:  it is almost like Murphy's law (do you like the pun), but I'm sure you were hoping to get at least a good 14-16 years before the all night partying started. I just think mine takes after her daddy and loves her sleep :crossfingers: as she has been so good lately and letting me get a good 8 hours sleep a night with only 1 loo break  she keeps up that trend when she comes out.
Oh, by the way girls Grand Final Day tomorrow. Off to mum & dad's to watch as we don't want to go too far just in case something happens. It will ne nice as mum will make a nice lunch for us and :crossfingers: my "Cats" can win again this year which will make 2009 such a good year for me.
1 more thing...........17 Days & Counting.......

Hi everyone!
I am very excited today, I have a belly on my avi, YAY! now it is matching my belly IRL, I am feeling great (thank you 2nd trimester) and not so worried now that my belly isn't big enough (the dangers of comparing ). Though I can't imagine how I have two in there, the website says average CRL at 18 weeks is 14.2cm, that is almost 30cm of baby, where have I put them? LOL. So happy so happy. So now just hanging out for our morphology scan which will be 19w6d, and finding out for sure if it is two little girlies in there. I will totally go crazy if they aren't cooperating and we can't know for sure. Here is my latest belly pic if you are interested :D Login | Facebook
Sorry, sorry, enough about me .
Dee, if you are reading, can't wait to see you tomorrow, looking forward to meeting IRL and congrats too on 10 weeks.
Kelly - OMG, I can't believe it, 17 days that is so exciting. Have a great grand final day tomorrow.
Murph, your place sounds divine and I love your room for Jazzy. Hope you are getting some sleep.
Smithy, YAY for 20 weeks, big congrats, hope your ms is settling down.
Azz, so excited for you for the 2nd Oct, can't wait to hear all about your two bubs.
Saph, good news re getting your script, I hope your ms eases off and hope you are keeping well.
Krikkit, hope you are well too! I counted from EPU to get my EDD too.
BOC, hi to you, congrats on 12 weeks, is your NT scan comming up?
Poppy, welcome, so glad to see you here and how wonderful for kicks. I haven't felt anything yet.
Grub, you have been quiet last couple of days, hope all is ok. And everyone says don't worry about weight, it will come off especially if you get back to your 10km runs, what a champ that is amazing, I am lucky if I can run for the phone. And I have heard 600 calories a day are burned through breast feeding :D. And great news re not having GD.
Bridget, hope you are keeping well too, and feeling a bit more confident as time goes on. Are you having another scan between now and your NT scan? Thinking of you.
Neptune, hope all is progressing on the home front. Not long to go for you now either!
MissMagpie, hi to you too!
Hello everyone else I have missed. Greenslw, where are you? Haven't seen you post in a few days either. Hope you are well.
Lots of luv to everyone xx
-
ooh bdt i like the avi! lol. very pretty :) i'm so happy to hear you are feeling really well. enjoy it lovey!
yaya kelly d - that is sooo close. how are you feeling? nervous? excited? over it? lol.
karmas a biatch hey murph lol... well if that's the case, then according to my mother i'm in for a horrid time apparently i was "a real little witch'' for the first few years. bluey was doing his dance last night about 1am and i considered joining him to put him back to sleep.have you tried that? or does she just wake up again as soon as you lay down?
yay azz. that is so super duper close! and have fun at the weekend with your bday party - but remember to take it easy! i'm sure it's just what the doc ordered - some time out with your family.
saph - has the maxalon helped love?
hi smithy - are you feeling any better these days?
afm - yes bdt i've been quiet cos i'm been feeling extremely fatigued and unwell. have been sleeping for 2-3 hrs every arvo and then back for 8-10 hrs that night. and today i have nasty diahorrea.
so i'd like to know who the hell was driving the bus that just hit me! but spoke to my boss today and he is urging me to go back to part time hours and "take care of that baby''... he's such a lovely man. so i'll only be working 4 days a week from next week and doing 2-3 half days.
also found out today that dh's work has stuffed him about big time! he was supposed to go away for a 7 week training course on oct 10. so we've bought airfares for my sister to fly from cairns and be with me for 10+ days and we have all our plans in place in terms of back ups as he only gets home 2 weeks before my due date.... well today one of his bosses called to say they missed putting him on that course and there's no room left for anyone else... can he go in january!!!!!! :crying:
so that would mean i have a month-old baby and would be left all alone for 7 weeks. with no support, no family, no friends.
sorry for the long vent girls, i'm just feelig a bit stressed about it all. hopefully dh will sort it out on monday and i won't have to worry.
geez, im a misery guts.... oxo

Ladies,
We have a :bfp:
Whilst I know some of you from the LTTTC and TWW threads, I also know many of you because I've stalked this thread for 6 months
We are 14dpo today. HcG results this morning are 137. I'll be having a 6 week scan on 12 October, but no further blood tests at this point - is that normal? I'd personally like to have a few more BTs to make me feel more comfortable that the levels are increasing.
Feeling quite :o and a little sicky. Have stocked up on ginger and am off to see the Naturopath tomorrow, because after 3 years of TTC, I've never actually had to think about a pregnancy or how I'm meant to deal with that.
BDT - I LOVE your avvy, very cool.
Smithy, 20 weeks!? That's fantastic! I've been enjoying watching your belly photos, keep them coming.
I'll get to know everyone in the next few weeks, but for now am just desperate for my 6-week scan.
See you all soon,
Seph

Hi Girls,
Firstly a big HELLO and CONGRATS to Seph  I stalk the TWW regularly and its so nice to see someone make it in here after so many tries. Wishing you a H & H pg. Lots of GREAT girls in here to ask as many questions as you like. As for blood tests, I didnt have any more after my BFP. Just had to wait until my 6 week scan. Take care.
Azz - WOW, your boys are being delivered on 2 Oct, so close now! It doenst seem that long ago that we both got our BFP at the same time. Enjoy your DD's birthday tomorrow. Take care and am thinking of you.
Kelly - 17 days to go and counting  Sorry but I hope the SAINTERS win tomorrow!! Enjoy the game :D
Grub - sorry to hear your unwell. Thats not good. At least work are understanding and cutting back your days will be a good thing. What a sh*t about your DH's job. Vent all you want. I cant imagine how you'd be feeling. Take care of yourself
BDT - LOVE your avi! And I have to say you are looking TERRIFIC too. I want to know where you are hiding both your bubs!!!!
:hello: to Murph, Smithy, Saph, Greenslw, Krikkit and everyone else.
AFM, not much happening. Am winding down to my maternity leave. Only 8 days left of work....WOO HOO! Sent out the invitations for my baby shower this week. Am having it on 18 Oct so looking forward to catching up with all my friends before bubs arrives and turns my world UPSIDE DOWN, lol Its wild and wet conditions here in Melbourne so will be tucking myself up on the couch to watch the Grand Final tomorrow.
Have a great weekend girls :D
Take care,
Tania

:hello: lovely bubbymakers!
Seph: Congratulations on your BFP!!! :hooray: wishing you a H & H 9mths. I think I remember you from a few months ago in the LTTTC threads. I hear you on the BT thing, that first couple of weeks til your scan is excruciating! I would have loved daily Hcg tests! But you'll get there & I hope your scan goes well! Hope you don't get too horrid a case of MS.
Grub: how horrible about DH's work! I hope he doesn't get sent away in Jan! I hope Karma takes pity on me too, I was a shocker sleeper too, I slept 1.5hr increments and didn't sleep a full night til I started school! DH on the other hand is an anytime/anywhere sleeper (including on a barstool at the local RSL in the middle of a semi-final NRL match!) so I'm hoping Cookie takes after Daddy!
BDT: Yay on the Avi! Oh your belly is soooo cute! You totally put me to shame LOL! I agree, where are you putting them? Are they Barbie Fold'n'Fun bubs? Not long now til you can find out for sure, :crossfingers: for you! BTW love your surname, bet you have fun spelling that one to people!
Kelly: :goodluck: to your Cats for the final, 17 days huh? Wow must be exciting!
Smithy: Hi hun! How u feeling? Love ur 18wk pics!
To everyone else, G'day! Hope you're all baking away nicely! I think we have a few getting close now so am thinking of you all and wishing you smooth, easy labours (well as smooth and easy as labour can be!)
AFM: Finally made it to 12 weeks, although the worry hasn't seemed to ease at all. Ahhh such is the plight of the LTTTC-er! Have my NT scan on Tuesday, not worried at all about the results but just happy to be getting another peek at Cookie.
Oh girls... I did the groceries this afternoon and treated myself to a bag of Doritos & salsa. I cracked them to sample while writing this post. I have just looked over and realised I have scoffed an ENTIRE 200g bag without even realising it! OMG I am so embarrassed  Better go and quickly hide the evidence before DH gets home LOL.
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
