Oh Murph she is just beautiful oh and so little!!!! It was nice to see because that's about how big my big twin will be so will have to show DH the photo as he keeps asking me "how big will they be" and when we see babies at the shops he taps me and says "will they be that big" argh no honey that baby is probably a few months old :wall: he really has no idea but it's cute!

I agrea on the down hill from 20weeks, I think for me it was all the movement that just took all the guessing out of my life now, I just know Squeak is ok, I don't need a scan. I've never heard of swinging off the UC either. would have made a great site. Wow you are organised with BabyShower, people keep asking me but I think whatever they get will be great. Still not shore what sizes to buy either. I was a 10lb baby DF was 8.5lb so I'm thinking 0000 will be too small. But who knows.

ATM 43C today! I'm staying put in my nice airconditioned office. I don't have alot of work to do and am feeling a little unmotivated. I'd rather be at home but can't come up with a reason to take off. Funny this week is the first week I've really not wanted to leave the house. I'm ok if I'm busy but I'd rather be at home in my garden (not when it's 43C though).
Squeak's feet have found my ribs again. OUCH I love feeling movement but I guess there's a lack of room going on in my belly. And there's 9 weeks to go..........

A bit of background: I have known her since 2006, when she & her DH first said they were going to TTC. We lost touch for a while but found each other again a couple of years ago. She is now currently in her 2ww on her 5th cycle/3rd EPU. Her first cycle was cancelled due to OHSS and none of her other ETs have ever managed to stick (for some unknown reason). In the midst of all this she lost her Mum (who she was so very close to) to cancer and she has been struggling. She is pretty level-headed when it comes to IVF but for some reason last cycle she had some different symptoms and became convinced it had worked, and was totally devastated when it didn't, especially since it was so soon after her mother's death.
This couple would make the most amazing parents you'd ever see and it honestly breaks my heart that they haven't got there yet. Especially since she has been there for me the whole way, and even when I got my BFP shortly after her mother's death she was still contacting me every few days to see how I was doing!
I am rallying my church, bible study group and everyone else in that I can to send stickies and prayers their way, so if any of you other lovely are into prayers, please send a couple up for them too! I think we're a pretty good group to be doing so, as most of us have been in her shoes in one way or another.
Her BT is scheduled for the 24th :pray: :pray: :pray:
I'm not sure if she posts in BB anywhere, I really haven't asked her just because I'm sure if she does she would like a little to maintain a little bit of privacy. But I just think these two really need a miracle.
:hug: aww BOC your a good friend hunny ,it makes it so much easier when you have people in your life that actually understand ivf and what we have all actually been through, so both you and this girlfriend are lucky to have that in common for a start its nice you are both back in contact hun.it sounds like they have also have a very tuff time and 5 ivf is just not fair ,3 was bad enough plus a fet :doh:
then to loose your mum as well breaks my heart cause ive still got my mum and serious i dont know what i would ever do with out her .
so i wish your friend all the luck i can muster and i will say i little :pray: for her and her dh for a beautiful miracle to hold in there arms and i know it will happen as good thing come to thoses who wait ;)

Hi all this will be a bit of a me post as my internet has been down for a few days and it is ust to hard to try and catch up.
Well I was feeling great after my few days of, went to the physio and she said it was the best I have been since she started seeing me 3 months ago. Well then on tuesday I slipped on Campbells toys not once but twice and have really aggrivated my pelvis. The theory that the further the pain is away from the sorce the worse it is well I have pain radiating down my legs into my ankles and the most unbelievable cramps in my tummy so at times I cant even stand up straight. I keep wondering how I am ever going to feel early labour as I feel like I am cramping sharp and like period pain all the time. Sigh.
Sorry just feeling a little sorry for myself. DH wants to take Campbell to the xoo on the weekend but I just dont think I could possibly walk around.
Anyway hope everyone is doing well, lots of belly rubs to all.
oh saph, i think your DH should take campbell to the zoo.. and you should stay home, put your feet up and relax a bit. have a sleep, put some heat on that sore back/pelvis or maybe have a nice long, warm bath. Hope you start to feel better soon sweetie. :)

afm - just dropped my sis off at the airport, it was good to have her here. we had some giggles like only sisters do lol. we haven't always been close so it was really nice to have just some quiet time. But the fur baby is now depressed and sulking cos her new best friend left her with the slack, fat mummy lol.
it's suppose to get very hot here today, so am hiding inside with the air con on and watching my fave tv show - the west wing :) Mother in law called yesterday, she's coming up from tassie for a few days to help me in these final 2 weeks til Dh gets home. I'm ssoooo relieved, was very worried about how i'd cope all alone and so far along. So only have just over a week alone and then she'll be here next sunday then DH home that friday!!! YIIPPEEE.

Hello all. Well, I'm back from a very wet but very nice week in NZ. I've been having a wierd pregnancy week - and need some reassurance to put my mind at rest. Out of the blue, I did a great big sneeze, and I was racked with pain, all across my stomach. But surely sneezing cannot do you any damage? My boob pain comes and goes - is that normal? I worry that the pregnancy might fade like the last one.
I'm very nervous about the scan on Tuesday - also it's not our lovely FS, he's away. My husband has told me that it's probably easier if tell him when I'm not worrying, as I seem to be worrying about something about 95% of the time. :rolleyes: tell me I'm not the only worrywort?
Murph - Jasmine is sooooo beautiful - I can't believe even between your five pictures how much she's grown already! She's gorgeous. Sorry for the lack of personals, I hope you are all very well and having a good weekend.
LM.. hey chicky ,well i rekon that big sneeze will do no damage and its stomach muscles, pulling i get it all the time when i cough and yes it hurts :rolleyes: and as for being a worry wart OMG hunny thats so normal i tell ya i still worry every day and i rekon we all will till the day our little bundles come but its very normal so dont stress. have fun at your scan im sure all will be just fine when you see that beautiful heartbeat and little bubba :D

It's a bit quiet in here atm hope everyone is baking and resting - and staying out of the heat.
Just a quick pop in.... have home made pizza in the oven yum yum.... not much happening here still having heaps of BH some more painful than others but each night i go to bed wondering if this will be the night but each morning i rise still pregnant lol!! Had monitoring etc Friday a few of my liver enzymes have started to rise so same again for Tuesday and if they are ok then still planned induction Friday... 5 MORE SLEEPS AT THE MOST until i meet my beautiful long awaitied for boys!!!!! We are getting very excited now and slightly nervous.
Anyway gotta go and feed them!!!!

LM - that's pretty normal. it's ust the ligaments and stuff stretching. I get it when i move too quickly/in an odd direction... like getting out of the car LIKE A NORMAL PERSON! lol. it's been so painful before i've dropped my shopping list (which blew away) and had to lean on the car for 5 mins to recover... (and yes, i couldn't remember one thing on that darn list!)

good to hear from you airline - how are you? and Boc - hope you've also been hiding inside from this horrid weather we are having. We had another 43C day here today! OMG do you think it's a conspiracy against me to mke my life miserable?
Am doing well... up to season 3 of the west wing :clap: and eaten a block of chocolate and 3/4 of a watermelon lol. Found some very cute children's paint-by-number canvas print things... they have the image printed on the canvas; paints and brushes for $7! So i bought five and have painted up three - a duck, a crocodile and some sort of underwater creature. It's been too much fun and great to pass the time.
Am super swollen in this hot weather and feel gross.
DH home in 12 days!!! MIL will be here on Sunday :) so just gotta make it through this week and i'm home safe (mostly).

DH and I are BIG BIG fans of the West Wing. We started watching from Series 1. and it took us over a year (we watched other stuff too obviously) but we loved it soooo much. When it ended it was sad:rolleyes: I loved ER too....then after about 15 years of watching it, they canned it too.
AFM...I've had what I can only guess to be baby brain, where I'm forgetting phone no.s at work, computer entries at work....and at the end of the shift .... I walked around for almost 10min looking for my car cos I'd lost it in the car park, and couldn't remember where I'd parked - only 6 hours previously!!
Our scan is tomorrow and contrary to the ticker, I'll be 6weeks and 6days so really hoping to see a heartbeat. We talked a bit this morning over brekky about feeling a bit nervous about it....but no doubt I'll be posting later in the day. It's first thing in the morning which I'm relieved at cos i have a bladder the size of a walnut when I'm not pregnant!! Sweet dreams everyone. x

LondonMiss - it is absolutely normal to worry and those weird early pregnancy cramps can be worrying. Everything is shifting and moving about down there making room so you are bound to feel tons of weird cramps and muscle pulling etc. I never had it when sneezing but (ready for TMI????) I used to get a terrible pain in my lower abdomen and what felt like my uterus after an orgasm in the first few months of pregnancy. I was terrified I was doing damage but it was obviously just part of the whole moving, stretching thing going on. Then it will move to your back and bottom and pubic bone! Just think of your body as a sort of renovation, construction site....someone has moved in and they are making all the renos necessary to grow comfortably in there!!! LOL!
Bella - hopefully something happens for you before Friday!
Grub - you sound busy! There is something really relaxing and therapeutic about painting. At my bellybuddies group we do 'Birth Art' sometimes around a theme of birth and our feelings etc. Very therapeutic and gets us really talking around the table!!! A great way for you to pass the time. Not long now!!!!

Saph - hope you managed to finish those reports! Do you use a report writer or do you have to make up all the comments? I found out from an old colleague that they are now being told they cannot write any behaviour comments at all!!! They have to stick to work progress only! Not that the behaviour comments really told the truth anyway...it was always so vague! 'So and So is easily distracted and often distracts others' which really meant 'I am close to strangling So and So because they do nothing they are told and never listen and flagrantly disobey me...in fact last week they swore and threw a chair at me!!!' LOL!!!
Smithy - I hope you are feeling better.....damn those pregnancy hormones and I guess feeling sick for so long cannot be helping in your case. :comfort:You may also be getting to that stage where it seems so near to the end but also so far away! I totally understand!! Cry away! It often makes you feel alot better! And get DH to give you tons of hugs!
AFM- Scan was sort of good. We had a trainee learning how to scan so we were in there for ages while she practised different bits but Bubs is soo big now we couldn't see much at all!!! So we spent ages looking at weird blurry images! No more scans now as they are happy with growth. He is bang on right size for everything. Even my fundal height measurement is finally right on the mark. I was too big at the start. I blame IVF. I think it bloats us up! It was good to get out the measuring tape and see how big his head is and everything is. DH and I were smiling at how cute and small he is but then DH reminded me that I need to push at least that head measurement out of me and I stopped smiling!!!! LOL!
Baby is really kicking now. DH said some of the movements feel like a bird flapping its wings when they get trapped somewhere. So true! So we joke now that he is our big bird! Heartburn is starting to be a problem...I knew I had got away without getting that for too long!
Anyway that is it for me I think!

Gosh that's ridiculous. Kids will end up getting fired when they get to work as they'll never have been told how to work - honestly. If my kid played up like that, I'd definitely want to know!
I never asked you Poppy if your S-M was English. If she is, then I think a Kevin Rudd style national apology from all the British is in order. She sounds ghastly.
Two random questions - and you can tell I'm getting ahead of myself massively here having not even have my first scan.... a) when did you tell people? When do you think is 'safe'? ( I should add that I was a real red wine fan so lots of people will notice the not drinking!) b) my DH's parents are divorced but both with long term partners but not married. Do they get a 'grandpa B' or a 'Nana Y' or do think that would upset the real grandparents? If not, how do you name them.... ???
Here's hoping for a heart beat tomorrow, although I"ll only be 6 weeks and 4 days so I don't know if I will? ......:pray:
LondonMiss: :hug: Relax hun it's ok, I had the exact same thing, the pain when I sneezed and also sometimes when I stood up too quickly I'd double over. I asked my Ob about it she said it was alright, it's just the ligaments around the uterus stretching as you grow and sometimes these sudden movements make them pull sharply. (:oops: and I just realised I've missed a whole lot of posts and other people have told you the same thing, sorry)
Good that you now have one less thing to worry about!
As for when to tell, well my parents, DH's 2 sons and a few close friends who were supporting us through the IVF process were told the day we found out. For everyone else we were definitely waiting til 12week mark but then I had to have a scan at 10 weeks and when we got the all clear there that's when we made the big Facebook announcement etc. Mind you, a few of the first lot of people who were told did slip up a little becasue they were so excited for us (actually the entire busload from our gym going to the city 2 surf found out at 5 weeks LOL)
Airline: Good luck today!!! That first scan is awesome, I'm not someone who gets overly emotional at things (well at least not before I was pg anyway) but I teared up a little when we saw that first heartbeat! Hope it's awesome for you!
Grub: How much of a shocker was yesterday? It wasn't too bad in the morning but around lunchtime I went for a nap and an hour or so later woke up in a bucketload of sweat and spent the rest of the afternoon whaling it in the pool! Loving the cool change this morning though! Can't believe it's so close to your DH getting home :dance:

AFM: I had a huge fright on Sat night, I almost choked on a piece of homemade garlic pizza. And I'm not talking cough/splutter type I'm talking full-on, couldn't breathe DH having to give me first aid to try & dislodge it from the top of my windpipe. It was horrible, scariest thing that has ever happened to me. I couldn't breathe or swallow or talk and DH was practicing his golf swing so was totally oblivious and I had to bash on the wall and wave madly to get his attention. It took what felt like ages but eventually we got it out, which then made me sick (sorry :tmi:) and I still have a bit of a sore throat but all good now. But it's funny, the whole time all I could think about was the baby and that I didn't want it to die yet. It's funny what goes through your mind at these times.
Anyway that's all my excitement for the time being (and more than enough I reckon LOL) other than that just been so very hot and loving that our pool is finally fixed!
And I've just realised I'm running late so had better run! Hope you all have a good day and this heat is easing up for some of you! Look forward to hearing from you later on airline!
How did it go Airline?
Well not going to be the post I'd so hoped for. My first issue which DH and I joked about initially but then I was seriously not laughing half an hour later was that I am a regular pee-er. I pee A LOT!. It is a joke amongst friends, bladder size of walnut etc etc. However, having drunk my litre between 7 and 7.30 am... by 8 when we arrived (half hour early) I was very uncomfortable, which became painful. They said I could pee 1cup or count to 5. Well that would alleviate it for 5 minutes or so. Ended up doing it 4 times, but was bladder was clearly still very full.
Anyway, I could tell straight away there was no heartbeat and the sonographer didn't say anything. She asked me to empty my bladder and then did an internal. More measurements and then she talked us through it. Neither of us said a word, just stared at the screen, it was horrible and I could feel myself tearing up but kept it together.
Now according to doc and ourselves (not the ticker) I'm 7 weeks tomorrow. According to what she saw on the scan I'm only 5 weeks and 4 days. She said she wouldn't expect to see a heartbeat at that stage. So I have to see FS on Wednesday, another blood test and then another scan in 10-14 days. We both felt flat on way home, I was wrapped up in my own thoughts as was DH and he dropped me home, had a hug and went to work.
Having been awake since 5 I just went back to bed for hour or so, but funnily enough didn't sleep. Sorry for mammoth 'me' post but there we have it.
Oh airline - what a crushing disappointment. Been there, not a t-shirt I wanted to get. I cried my eyes out all over the sonographer, doctor that got called in, my FS who made the initial judgement, the lady at reception and so on.....
Very very very best wishes for the next week. Praying for you that it is just a little bit behind and will catch up plenty by the next visit. I'll be thinking of you.

thanks for you support and thoughts grub and smithy. DH smsd me earlier said he was p**** off and frustrated that nothing is ever simple in this whole 'thing' with us. I said I didn't feel like that, just sad. With it being IVF there's no mistaking the dates... so it's either slow developing...or no longer with us. Last time the levels rose too slowly and we never got to the scan stage....I'm so worried that it's gonna leave us too.
Anyway, sorry to bring people down, not my intention. I'll let you know when we get anymore news - another waiting game. :rolleyes:

I am not enjoying being back at work ... at all, and my boss has just left. So I've been doing lots of surfing and research... (happy days). Just had a look at your pics Smithy and I am really worried now. My belly is bigger at 6 weeks than yours was at 12!! I'm sooo chunky! I got down from 77kg to 62 for my wedding, promptly gained it all, lost it all again for our wedding anniversary (well, back to 65 anyway ;)). Then with the drugs, the pregnancy, the miscarriage, the drugs and now the sorest boobs in Christendom (i.e. no exercise for 5 months other than walking and swimming) means I am 70kgs again, and it's all on my belly. I was rubbing my belly the other day (it was contentedly full of a whole portion of red thai curry with veg and tofu)(and lots of rice) and DH pointed out that I looked about 30 weeks. :redface:
my work trousers don't fit me today.... oh dear. Can't wait to get home and put something elasticated on..... :rolleyes:

LM: Don't stress too much hun, I was the same. Check out my pics! (Yes Ms Smithy, I've updated!) I popped out at 7 1/2 weeks. Now I look about 7 months :lol: Every time someone asks how far I am and I tell them I get the looks of shock and the "OMG how many are you having?". Except for one lovely lady in Coles the other day that told me I look small for 20 weeks, bless her.
On another little sad note, that friend of mine that I was talking about recently, the one that was going for her 5th round? Well she messaged me today, it looks like AF arrived yesterday, they still have her BT tomorrow but she's pretty down about it. I just don't understand how they don't take. But thanks to those who sent little prayers & stickyvibes.

LM - try not to worry too much about how big or small you are. Can't do anything about it anyway! lol. but it can be disconcerting. Been asked more than once if i'm having twins; another bloke asked if it was triplets and one lady literally had her mouth hanging open when i told her i still had 12 weeks left... she said incredulously "are you sure?"
Just gotta let it slide. I find the weight thing very diffucult and am not at all coping that well about it... but at the end of the day, you can lose weight after bub gets here... (i lost 30kg about five years ago and would have nearly put all that back on atm :redface:).
bub is squirming himself silly today. he's definitely outta room now! 37 weeks!! had a crying melt down last night about dh not being here; being so huge; being so hot (no a/c in our room). But felt better afterwards.
Yes the paintings are for bub's room.. didn't do any today, but i'm addicted.
it's drizzly and cool here atm .. i'm going to sleep sooooo well tongith! yayaya.

LM - dont worry about what you look like. My belly is huge and I look like I am about 40 weeks but have put on a grand total of 2kg. So it doesnt really mean a thing, how big or small you are, as long as baby is growing away nicely. I can say baby in here is huge already. I feel like he is already running out of room as he is now squirming instead of kicking. sorry take that back he just gave me a nice big kick.
Airline - I have everything crossed for you. I had slow rising HCG and here we are now 27 weeks later.
Smithy hope you are feeling better. I have managed to come off my morning sickness tablets, I am not vomiting but sometimes feel a little quesy.
AFM in absolute agony, Went to physio today and back on wed as when I slipped on DS toys last week I have really flared up my pelvis. Dam i was doing so well I have physio app out to every two weeks now it is back to every 2 days.

Today I went to the tafe induction, it was great saw a hole heap of people I knew from all my past jobs, seams everyone teaches at some time. I really can't wait to do it but really need to be honest with them about when. I hope it goes ok. I'm catching up with the head of school on Tuesday I'm thinking I'll be unable to teach till week 3 at the earliest. I feel like I'm letting them down.
Then as I was sitting down to a lovely tea DF made his mum rang. and the following rolled out "I was thinking I'd love to be around for the birth" "would you be happy with that" "can you pay for 1/2 my ticket!" out of the blue. DF and his mum are rocky at best, she's comming from Tassie and I'm assuming will want to stay here. Now there are two thoughts in my mind. 1 it's a nice thing she hasn't done for any other grandchild (8 total) and it's a nice chance for her and DF to bond a bit. Grandpa is not welcome (ex alcaholic and has an apauling way with women). Thought 2. This is my FIRST baby, I don't know you that much, your son doesn't like you that much (it swings) and you're going to be in my house, life when life is about to be turned on it's head. OH and I have to pay 1/2!
What do I do ladies? I'm so full of all this mother guilt at the moment about going back to work, this is just too much. I'm actually thinking of phoning the work EAP, for some help. I'm on a bit of auto pilot but I am a planner and it seams I can't find centre right now.
Greenslw!!!!! NO NO NO NO!!!! Honestly NO! Tell her NO! Everyone I speak to who is involved in birth and attending women at birth have told me to not have anyone around who you are not completely happy with. It is all about you, DH and this baby! NOONE else!! That was the reason I told my Dad that my Step mother was not coming down for the birth. This is YOUR time and everyone else can go to hell!!! Sorry I am passionate about this!! I have spoken to midwives and doulas about this and they all say this is not the time for politeness and selflessness. Everyone should be doing what you say and if you have to have a hissy fit to get it, then have the biggest hissy fit ever seen in the Southern Hemisphere!!! Tell them you are having a 'babymoon' and that they are welcome to come see the baby after that. Also it is a bit cheeky to ask for 1/2 of the fare! Young couples starting a family should not have to fork out for people to come and see their baby. As I said to my Dad 'No true grandparent would begrudge a few pounds for their grandchild so as far as I am concerned she is not my child's grandchild!!' (bit easier for me because she is a stepmother and not my mother but you get the idea!)
Please I urge you to put you first here. This is your first baby and you need everyone to be making you feel like a queen. If you want them all to stand on their heads while you are giving birth then they should!!!! Don't feel obliged to do anything you feel slightly uncomfortable about at this time!

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I went and had a chat with my neighbour/friend (one of the few that know we're pregnant) and felt better yes. arvo. Then went to my wonderful GP who knows my history, and has already given me a couple of extra BTs for peace of mind earlier on. He joked that this would be the most monitored pregnancy and I'll get a mother of the year award. He's great and said it depends on the angle of the scan, where the wee one's attached, and can be out by a week each way. So took more blood and go back with DH for results this arvo.
Between friend, doc, DH coming home and ALL you guys, I felt heaps better. Thank you so much.

Saph - poor poor you. I hope you got some decent sleep last night...difficult I'd imagine with the pain trying to get comfortable.
BOC - I'm sorry your friend had AF show up. You just feel like the weight of the world's on your shoulders sometimes going through all this.
Right I'm off to go and see my girlfriend who's having twins. She doesn't know about me, unless she comes on here................ Haven't seen her in ages....kind of circumstantial, kind of self protection for a while. Take care girls, and good luck LM and Ping I think both your scans are today. xx
