Good afternoon girls,
Just popping in quickly before my little man wakes up for a feed!
Want to wish Grub LOTS and LOTS of luck. We have been through our journeys together from the beginning :D One by one we are having our precious little angels. Hope you little one arrives soon. Take care and am thinking of you.
To all my other lovely ladies, Greenslw, Smithy, BDT, BOC, Saph and all the new ladies, a BIG hug and belly rub
Trent will be 6 weeks on Wednesday, how time has FLOWN! He has been a bit unsettled as he has coelic which is very painful for him at times. I feel so helpless when he is crying in pain. Im still b/f although he gets topped up with formula after every feed too but I am persisting. My little man is a GUTS, hehe He weighed in at 4.2kgs at his 4 week check up :D We love him dearly and he is the best Christmas present ever. I still stare at him and cant believe I have a baby. Its such a dream come true.
Take care girls and look forward to following your progresses :D

Hi Girls.Would love to write to you all personally but as im still new here,i tend to forget all the names by the time i get to the 'reply' button..LOL.Silly me.
Am hoping everyone is doing well.
Hoping too that the 2 ladies who are ready to have their little bundles, have a quick delivery without much pain....im sure drugs are needed to have a baby without pain though.hehe.
I remember having the gas with my son 12 yrs ago and it was fantastic.
Tomorrow is my first scan and i will be 7 weeks.I am so nervous but excited too!
Im praying so hard that all is well and hopefully with my fingers and toes crossed that there will be a nice strong heartbeat.I have started to feel slight nausea in the past 3-4 days and the smell of some foods are making me queasy. My breasts have become tender and are now being covered in a multitude of blue veins.Im still weeing heaps too.
Im also still doing hpt every few days. They are still coming up nice dark lines, instantly.I know i sound paranoid dont i?
My hubby will be coming with me so he is excited too.
I will let you know how it goes....aaahhh butterflies in my tummy already, just thinking about it.

Hello All,
Hope everyone is taking care of themselves.
This is going to be a little bit of a selfish post for an update on myself.
I had my appt with my ob today and I am going into hospital tomorrow morning at 6am for induction unless I go overnight myself. He did an internal and things have started on their own but he said hospital tomorrow. As bub was estimated 4kgs last week he doesn't want it to get any bigger.
Please don't put anything on facebook about me being in hospital as we have only told our parents and no-one else as I don't want to be harassed in hospital tomorrow.
However, since getting home from the OB appt I have had some light bleeding and am having mild contractions about 10mins apart but they are only lasting about 15sec.
I am very excited but also feeling a little scared.
This time tomorrow hopefully I will be holding my bundle of joy.
Grub I hope it is not to far off for you. :goodluck: and sending you lots of positive labour vibes.
:bellyrubs: to everyone
-
Lani - hope all goes well and it's just as you planned it. Very very best of luck for tomorrow. Grub - good luck with your sweep and progress from here. I know you both have much better things to worry about than BB, but let us know how it went and post a pic when you can xx
Want baby - hello and welcome. I can't get signed up with the hospital without a letter, which I can't get without another scan, so I'm having an additional scan in three weeks time, but just got told we won't get the results for three weeks. So I'm not sure what you do about telling people - not tell the world until 15 weeks I guess? That seems so frustrating. Then we have a hospital scan at 15 weeks, but I thought you can't tell gender until 17 weeks so do you get another one then?? I wonder sometimes if it would be quicker to create a list of people in Melbourne who haven't had a look up my wotsitw with a scanner, than those who have :o (not for naughty reasons I hasten to add!!!)
-
Lani so excited for you.
A question for those who are having their second, third or however many baby. Have you done any birthing classes this time, it has suddenly dawned on me that maybe I need a refresher. I still haven't even done a tour of the hospital, maybe I should book that one at least then I will know where to go.
Smithy - what did you do when your ticker was losing days. I wouldnt mind if they were going forward but to make it longer is my worst nightmare.
AFM - I packed babies hospital bag today. Opened the nappies OMG they are so small. Still need to do mine
-
sory saph can't help from personal experience but i know our hospy midwives recommend 2nd timers to do the course again. things change and you forget i think was the gist. but only if you feel you need it i suppose. and lol, the nappies... everything is small tho!
lani - well tday should be your day love. thinking of you and good luck!
good luck wantababy :) how exciting. let us know how it all goes.
hi LM! :D
thanks so much miss lovely tania for dropping and sharing with us some of your joy. I still can't believe i'll have a baby by christmas. i told DH to wrap the bub up and put him under the tree for me lol... or at least tell my gullible mum that is what he's going to do so i can laugh my ass off at her reaction.
greenslw - what do you mean the party is a surprise? and did you get the fence sorted?
Boc - hows you? this cool weather is soooo nice hey! lol.
kyra - hope your move is going well love and ds is adjusting.
Poppyfairy - hows it all going over there? any progress for your dad lately?
smithy - how is your sickness going thesedays? you seem to be a bit better since your hospy trip some time ago. I like your belly cast.
murph - i didn't mention how gorgeous jazzy is! she is just devine love.
seph - you haven't popped in for ages? how are you going?
lise- you still here love??
HI to all the girls i've missed please let us know what you are up to. you don't have to do a huge persie list everytime but i know I do like to hear from you all and what's happening in your life.
Well the keyboard is working now! I think i've been losing my plug since my s&s yesterday and have been having very mild, irregular contractions. Was sssooo hopeful last night would be it but nope! again :( I just wake up now and say to dh 'no baby'. Starting to think bub doesn't want to meet us!!! DH reckons its cos i've done such a good job keeping bubba safe and warm that he doesn't want to come out heeehee.
anyhoo, bub really only has 24 hrs left to make his own entrance cos after tomorrow's monitoring i'm pretty sure i'll be booked for an induction. Apparently this time of year is very fully booked for 'social inductions' as everyone due at christmas books to have bubs before then... But our doc said cos of the fluid levels, which are quite low, and given we are now overdue, we have the ''medical reasons'' trump card and will bummp someone, which i was relieved to hear.
anyhoo, they will try breaking my waters first and then put me on a very low dose of the syno drip. I apparently am beyond the gel now cos my cervix is soft and opening... so things ARE happening at least.
I feel very disheartened at the moment and that i'll be making that appointment tomorrow :( Even the doc seemed surprised to see us yesterday. I really really want that "hollywood moment'' when i say to DH "it's time, my waters broke'' or such. This might be our only chance and I don't want it to be all medical, like we had to do to get him!
okay whinge and whine of a 'heavily pregnant' woman now over.
thanks for all your vibes girls... and again GOOD LUCK LANI!!!
oxox

lani and Grub - wishing you both all the very best and hoping you get the dream labours you want and so deserve!
Still here, still no computer so although I do check several times a day I'm afraid at the moment I'm a bit of a lurker...
Very happy week for DH and I - I'm now 12 weeks pregnant and our scan is tomorrow!! As soon as we've seen it's all good we FINALLY get to shout it to the rooftops. Am so very excited, I feel like I can finally let my guard down a little. Of course I know we're a long way from actually holding our baby yet but I never thought I'd get this far so definitely s time of celebrations in our house!!
Anyway, love and belly rubs to all, hope everyone us travelling well.
love lise xx

Hi all,
no time for persies, gotta wake wee baby bear, who's been sleeping in papa bear's bed:). He spent his first night away from us and we have to shoot down to Atherton to pick him up after he hands over his work ute. Excuse my potty mouth Grub and sorry to make you homesick. I'll pop in and have a cuppa with your folks:D
so just wanted to say, if you don't go today Grub, there's still time to go to your calm place with my splendind vision in my "teddies".
Good luck today Lani and Grub
Woohoo Lise, thinking of you getting to tell everyone really soon. what an amazing experience this time of year.
well managed a few persies, better bugger off. xox

Just wanted to pop in and wish Lani & Grub all the very best!

:hello:
Lani: Ooooh good luck! Hopefully by now you are well & trully in the throes!
Grub: Wow must be so exciting to know you will have bluey in your arms very soon! Make sure you take a pic of your Mum's face when he tells her, classic! Loving this weather hey. am off to the Ob today then off to brave the masses at Kotara to finish my Xmas shopping. Was in there Saturday, it was a nightmare!
Smithy: My computer has decided it just doesn't like Piczo site anymore and gives me error messages every time I try to stalk your page :( sooo very jealous cause I would love to see your belly cast! Did you do one for Coops too  How are you feeling these days?
Lise: :hooray: for 12 weeks! such an awesome feeling! Are you going to wait til Xmas to tell everyone?
Murph: Your little princess is soooo gorgeous you could just eat her up! Loved the "smelling the roses" pic too!
:bellyrubs: to everyone else!
AFM: 24 weeks today! Yay for 60% cooked! Went to the physio yesterday, got alovely massage and then he put the heat pack on me and left me for 15mins, and had to wake me up when he came back  hope I wasn't snoring! Got the belt and it seems to have helped, got a good sleep in last night, 2 x 3hr and 1 x 1.5hr sessions! That's a record I think!
Very happy, got a guy coming tomorrow to do the insulation in the house  so at least it will be a little bit cooler next hot day! Oh and can't remember if I told you but a few weeks ago I had some preggy glamour shots done. Well the photos are ready to be picked up on Friday! Can't wait! They were REALLY expensive to buy so I only got a couple, but since then I've spoken to a friend who is a photographer and she's going to do some more in Jan for me, about 200 shots for $100 and she just puts them all on the disc for me, I don't have to buy any enlargements! AWESOME!
Anyway hope you all have a great day! Looking forward to my Ob appt at 12 casue I get another scan & get to see my little Cookie again! :loveshower:
Look forward to the coming BAs!
-
Just wanted to pop in and wish Lani and Grub all the very best. Very soon you will be holding your precious bundles in your arms... there is nothing in the world that compares to that.

Lani & Grub – wishing you both all the best over the next couple of days. I hope it is not much longer till you are both holding your little miracles. It will be the best Christmas present ever.
This thread seems to move so fast at times and I have trouble keeping track of everyone. I have been lurking a lot but haven’t really had the time to post. I don’t have time to post at work (and shouldn’t be doing this right now!). Things have been crazy busy with the Christmas lead up. Hopefully I will have more time to post in the NY.
We have our next scan booked for Thursday. I will only be 11w4d but they are happy for me to do it a little early. I have my big work Christmas party that afternoon. Everyone would notice and probably ask why I wasn’t drinking so I thought it best to book the scan early and get that finally tick of before sharing the news at the party.
Oh and Smithy – I loved the photo’s of the belly cast you did. I will definitely have to do one of those when I am further along. Thanks for the great idea!
-
Best wishes to Lani & Grub over the next few days, there is nothing like holding your bub for the first time!!
Nicole & Aaron
-
Just a quick tip for some of you girls in early stages where you aren't quite ready to share news just yet, I stopped drinking months before IVF but even when I used to drink but didn't feel like it at certain occasions I used to get around the not drinking questions by saying I had been feeling a bit headachy for a couple of days and was worried it may be turning into a migraine. Usually kept them quiet after that!
-
Well in this one we had no choice. DH rang his mother who didnt think twice in telling his sister, who told my neice who told anyone who could listen. Hmm not happy luckily we have now had the scan and all should be ok but usually I would wait til 12 weeks, and as I dont drink its not an issue for me rofl,
-
Miss Magpie so nice to hear from you wow you bubba is a big boy. good to hear love a well fed bubba. :D
wantbaby :goodluck: I hope it's great news for you
Go Lani Go Lani can't wait to hear the good news.
Saph I started backing OMG I have sooo much stuff! I need a trunk!
Grub there is a tradition of not telling us were we're going! NO the fence isn't sorted I HATE BUILDERS and NEIGHBOURS! Missing the wide open spaces atm. I hope you get your holliwood moment hun. But if not I hope you get a happy healthy bubba soon
Lise goodluck for you scan tomoorrow and congrats on 12 weeks well done.
Boc Yaya for 60% cooked. You must still have your brain to work that out ;) Mine is gone.
Mitf Goodluck Thursday almost 12 weeks!
Rob nothing like the old grape fine hay.
ATM back to HOT in SA again.
Managers lunch was ok, We learnt to cook Marocan food, which If I wasn't pg I would have loved but I unfortunatly only kep 1/2 down :( and now I have heart burn! was nice not to be at work though. Although I know I"ll have a pile tomorrow.
My main goal this week is to make sure I get Santa in his suit and it fits! so that we can have him come to our Client Christmas Party next Tuesday (fingers crossed it's under 35C).
-

Congrats to you Lani - excellent news and a big healthy bub. Welcome little Jett... so happy for you.
Dusty, thank you so much for thinking of us and that's awesome news for you. Congratulations, you have been through so much to get here. Best of luck with your scan and I hope your jouney is uneventful with nothing but blue skies ahead.
Neptune - how beautiful. when I opened your page, I thought I was looking at photos of Jazzy at first, Adam and Jazz have silmilar features. what a gorgeous boy! BTW what is your smiley dog's name? DH said Adam is a real cutie when I showed him he looks like Jazz and your pup is a smiley fella (girl?) Lovely to see your face, you are very photogenic!
Grub, it's an awesome day when you log on and you are the girl of the moment and you know everyone is thinking of you. It's a bit weird when it's your turn and you know everyone is hanging on your news. I meant to thank you all from my big day too but you know I love you all :D No pressure now Grub, you have all the lime light!
Hey Greenslw, BOC, Poppiefairy and you lovelies I don't get to hang out with anymore, hope you'll be joining me next door soon. xoxox

Yay!!! Welcome Jett!!!!:dance::leap::happyforyou:
Grub -I hope your little bluey comes of his own accord soon!!! I am imagining the Hollywood moment for you!
Hi Murph!!!! Looking forward to next door!!!
Dusty - Welcome!!!! Good to see you here!
Lise - yay 12 weeks!!!!
wantbaby#2 - Glad the scan was excellent! Now you can breathe easier!!!!!
Belly rubs to all those I missed!
AFM - Cotton clothes are washed. His little bag is almost packed. Today I am going to hand wash his little woollen cardigans and the shawl my mum used to bring my brother and me home in. It is 35 years old so I hope it doesn't disintegrate in the wash!!! I also have a secret little babygro I got in France that I am going to dress him in for when DH comes to pick us up to go home. It says 'J'aim mon Papa!' (I have no idea of how to read or write French so that is probably wrong!!!) I generally hate slogans on baby clothes but it seems a whole lot more respectable in French!!! LOL  So now DH is at work I can sneak it into the bag.
Dad is still working out what to do. DH has asked him to stop stressing me out with his flip flopping and such.
I am going to look for cloth nappies on the net now! Might even order some!! Yay!
-
12 week scan today, yay!!! Though just chugging down my water while trying not to pee - why can't they all be vaginal scans?!
Grub, how you going this morning???
-
:happyforyou:
Congratulations Lani!!!!!
:hooray: :leap: :hooray: :leap:
:confetti: :confetti: :confetti:

Hope you enjoy every second of these first few precious moments!

Congratulations Lani & welcome to little Jet. I am sure you & DH are relishing every second of these amazing first few days.
Good Luck Grub - I hope today's the day and you get that Hollywood moment after all.
Lise - GL with your scan today.
-
Congratulations Lani!!! Im so very happy for you and your family. Please post pics as soon as you can...if you can. What a big boy and such a great name! Love it! xx:dance:

And Dusty! How wonderful to see you in this thread - it truly brings tears to my eyes.

-
Lani - many many congratulations on the birth of your little boy. I hope you and he are well, and DH is looking after you both. Hope the birth wasn't too awful. xx
-
Lani: Congrats on the arrival of Jett, enjoy this special time getting to know your new little man.
Grub: Hoping that we will hear your good news in the next day or so. Good luck and I hope it all goes well for you.
Dusty:  Congrats, it is so nice to see you made it back here. I'll make sure that I watch this thread to see how you are going as I am so happy for you.
Wow, it seems the blue thread is continuing in here after me and Murph breaking it up with some pink. It is up to Smithy and BDT to stop the blue overload, although Green may add some more, although I think you might continue with the blue theme.
I'm still reading up on how you are all going and a big congrats to all the new girls who arrived after my departure, I'm so happy to see you all here.
Can you believe it but Tara was 9 weeks old on Monday and is growing so fast, we get smiles all the time now and she is a real chatterbox as well. Off to have Santa photo's done today (start of the tradition), so hopefully we can make it with lots of smiles and fingers crossed no vomit (side effect from her immunisations) on either herself or Santa.
-
Congratulations Lani on the birth of baby Jett. Wishing you all the very best.
Lise good luck with your scan today. Looking forward to hearing all about it.
-
just a selfish ranty sort of post atm girls. Monitoring went well, bub is very good which i'm happy about but showing no signs of budging.
My hope getting in for an induction later this week was scuttled tho and all they can do is put me on a reserve list for Monday because the induction list is full of women who were due at or after xmas and wanted to have their bub before hand! wtf???
so while fluid levels are low and movments are low and i'm postdates, doc is happy to let me go through to monday and even then maybe later. right, okay... cept that means i get the joy of spending my xmas day alone in hospital cos we have parents here from sunday.
not only that, DH will spend the entire week running around between the hosp and home and the airport when he should be spending all his time with me and bub at the hospital. and then when we do get home, it'll be to a house full of people. no babymoon for us.
sorry i know this is completely unreasonable and i SHOULD just let bub come when he comes but that isn't how i feel. i feel sad and stressed and haven't been able to stop crying all afternoon. I just want my baby here and i want me and DH to have time to enjjoy him instead of havng this stressful time where there's people in my home, i'm not there and he's trying to 'do everything'.
and yep, i've given up hope of having him naturally on my own. suppose the past week of constant expectation has really undermined my confidence and i just feel liek everything else on this journey, my body won't do what it's supposed to and nothing ever goes the way we'd wish.
anyhoo, i'm sorry to bring the mood down. and i'm a sooo thankful that we are even at this stage so feel so stupid whinging specially when i think about the even more difficult journeys some girls here have had to get their BFP. and that makes me feel worse.
:crying::crying::crying:
