KellyD, that's crazy!! How on earth do you girls carry anything that big? I think my full term size was you at 20 weeks or at least 28 weeks, and BOC was my full size at about 8 weeks  I still keep thinking of Neptune's little boy born at 4.5 kilos and when I see how much Jazz has grown to be now 4 kilos, I realise how little she was. Thanks for the photos, it was fun to compare.
Smithy...awww, you know you are the most loved girl in this forum, we are always thinking of you cos you always think of us. I took that photo just for you too
Not too much time for persies but just wanted to say I'm sorry to Lise for the loss of your grandfather and Littlemiss for the loss of DH's dad. I'm sure it's a bitter sweet time but you will get through it and those babies at the end will help to heal the pain.
Also just quickly to Kyrawolf, it's exciting gettting a gameplan together like you are. Congrats and good luck with that. Just on the point you made about not being the best at maths at school, you wipe the slate clean when you go back to study as a mature student. My DH never even passed year eleven, joined the Army at 17 with no schooling to speak of and later went on to have a whole second career - excelling at tafe, then teaching at tafe, then excelling at uni, then teaching at uni and now in two weeks will have finished his Doctorate and be a fully fledged research ecologist. You go girl, you can do anything !
Poppyfairy, what a cute little mate. Your life is going to be just wonderful and you will be a fantastic Mum.xox
Hi all this will be a me post. Finally good news my SIL had a boy at 8.34pm weight wait for it 10pd4. OMG I had to ask my brother twice if he was joking.
But I went out in sympathy for her and had a bleed last night, so off we went for monitoring. Everything is fine bleeding was only small and has stopped and monitoring was fine. He went off like a jack in the box like a good little boy. (How is this for bad, my ob forgot I was there waiting for her to see me and went home. I had to talk to her over the phone as she explained that is was probably just the placenta coming away a bit. Nothing to worry about and the blood was mine) Dam and here I was hoping he was coming sooner.
Oh well, hope everyone is doing really well, off to get my baby snuggles this arvo.
Smithy How's your 2 week count down going? just wondering what did you do with your belly cast? I'm thinking mounting on a canvas but not sure how to fill all the gaps, My belly isn't nice and cemetrical and flat. THought about gap filler but I don't want an explosion.
lilmiss thanks for your kind workds I hope pain is gone for labor too. for you and DH re FIL had to have such a sad thing happen when you're suposed to be so happy.
Lise  such a sad thing to happen around Christmas
kyra hope the truck games were great, I can't wait to play games with Squeak :D
Hi Murph hope you and family are enjoying all the little things :)
Saph few thankgoodness all is ok, thanks for your thoughts. So good to hear your SIL and bubba are all well, you next hay? :)
ATM NEW WOMAN ALERT! Saw my OB who really isn't worth all the money I've paid but she put me on some pain killers and the midwife (who I think is a dead set legend) suggested I put my hip band from the physio on my belly. Well I did and instant relief.
It is all in my muscles aparently! Baby is requiring more room than I have to give. So with a few little pills and some good support I slept! still got up hourly to pee but I slept!
DH has been so emotional about me being in pain too which is really hard to deal with atm, I can't fix it for him and it's so hard to watch him cry about my pain, I'm glad he is paying attention but at the same time I don't think I can focus on anthing but me.
Oh also :leap: I'm going to be an aunty again. My Brother and SIL are having their 3rd. In canada though, but they are talking about moving back to aus in 2013 hope so. I'm going in 2012 for a visit so Squeak and new bubba will be a good age to play together. I hope it's a girl for them they already have 2 boys 4 and 2. Busy house that's going to be.
Hi ya loverlies ,
Sorry I have a me post too, just had 2 nights in hospital after having some very frequent BH contractions and some weird stitch like pains on Wed night, so Dr wanted to keep me in for 24 hours + for some monitoring. I did get to have a full growth scan yesterday, unfortunately twin 1 is a little behind in dates, measuring 31 weeks 2 days and 1.8kg, and twin 2 measuring 33 weeks and 2.2kg (this was at 34 weeks gestation). They are still both within the range but I am worrying a little. Dr wants another full growth scan in the next two weeks and will make a decision then as to whether they are growing enough and whether to take the out, I am now totally fine if that means a C section, just as long as they are in the best possible place, either in or out. So trying not to stress, and now googling how to help the put on weight, as I am not sure I can possibly eat any more
Lilmiss, I think I will give yoga a miss as don't want to do anything to bring them on early, but might pop by after to coffee with you and the girls.
Greenslw, Saph, Smithy and Ella'smum, thinking of you. Hi to everyone else xx
Saph -=- Congrats on the new arrival of your nephew! and sorry to hear you had a bit of a scare but at least everything is ok :)
Murph -=- wow your DH sounds like a brainiac superman :p How inspiring :D thank you so much for telling me that its certainly given me even more motivation
Grnslw -=- sorry to hear yuour having troubles.. Hopefully things will start happeneing any minute and DH can stop stressing so much and stressing you so much after ur happily holding lil bubs in ur arms :)
Baby dreamtime... Im not sure if theres anything more you can do besides taking multis for the preg and eating well... but im wishing you the best of luck that they manage to put a bit more weight on before crunch time. Good to hear your feeling more prepared now at least.. Hope to hear good news from you soon :)
Oh babydreamtime. I wish I new what I was doing to make a biggen. At 34 weeks this one was weighing 3.4kg. Because of how big he is we are now booked for a C section on the 8th of Feb. Good luck with the growing.
Baby Dreamtime...you can have some of my growth spurt if you like!! LOL.... We just got back from the obstetrician and she looked at me and said I bet you are measuring more than fullterm...she was right. We are measuring 42.5 at 34 weeks....no wonder I am so uncomfortable. So we have been told if it is all up to me now as to how much discomfort I can handle (keeping in mind that this boofa is living in a body that is barely 5 feet tall so well and truly no room at the inn). If I get to 36 weeks and cant take any more the she is happy to deliver...so the 12th Feb delivery date just got flexible again.....yikes to think he could be here in as little as 2 weeks....better get that carseat fitted hey!! So now we are down to twice weekly CTGs and weekly visits from here on in...just as well I work from home with all these bloomin medical appointments to fit in.
Poppyfairy you make beautiful babies...what a gorgeous little one...I am assuming you didnt need to get the army in to get you to hospy through all that snow!!
Greenslw....not long to go now, yay on getting at least a bit of sleep I am sure it makes a huge differnce to coping skills when you/we get decent sleep at this stage.....
sorry for no more personals....I can't scroll back any further..hope everyone else is well and gestating nicely!
Baby Dreamtime hope you work out a way to fatten up your little girlies :D. Thinking of you.
Baby Dreamtime  glad your ob and hosp are keeping a good eye on you. I hope both your bubbas are well and you are being looked after. :comfort:
Thanks Kyra: sleeping without pain but still can't turn my brain off, must be a soon to be mummy thing.
Thanks Melbel it's amazing what a little extra zzzz makes to your personality.
Hi Paula how's things going with your two budles of joy?
ATM well I think DH and I must have got hold of some kind of hormones last night 3 times  Maybe it's a sign of a drought is coming!
Put the baby seat in the car today and I started to sook because Squeak is going to be so tiny. I'm not good with tiny! I know It's different when it's your own but It is all hitting home at the moment.
Got a few extra spots on my face too so I guess that's means more hormones running around.
Have a great Saturdaya all :grouphug:
Back from KI - completely lovely. I would highly recommend a trip if you ever get a chance!
Sorry, too much happening for persies other than to say, Robin Patrick looks absolutely gorgeous - love the pics with him with DH. And Greenslw - ding dong! As the lady in the diner says, I'll have some of whatever she's having! :D
belly rubs to you all, and I hope those of you due to pop soon are well x
Hi Londonmiss,
sorry, I haven't been paying attention. did you say you just got back for KI as in Kangaroo Island? Looks like I might be moving from one beautiful sea change to another ( from the daintree over to KI). Keen to hear your impressions if you don't mind sharing.:)
Murph and LondonMiss,
I've just got back from Kangaroo Island myself. Lovely, relaxing, very nice place - slow pace, if you're wanting to move there.
As it's not exactly pregnancy-related, I'll stop there, but needless to say I love KI. I would recommend a 4WD if you're planning on living there, and a Telstra mobile phone (our Optus phones didn't work much at all).
Also, as you'll see from my ticker, It's a BOY!
:hello: everyone!
 Congratulations on a blue bundle Persephone... How exciting..
Happy 10 weeks today Paula...Woo Hooo Double Digits!!
:bellyrubs: to all you mummy's
POPPY - CONGRATUALATIONS LOVE!! welcome robin patrick :) what a horrid midwife! and how empowered do you feel to have done that!!! he's so gorgeous and i noticed you are still dressed in that pic a few mins after his arrival! gorgeous pics you have there!
ella's mum - dtd - oh the joy in late pregnancy lol. what did high pants call it? riding a camel lol.
saph - hope you aren't too put off by your little one's size atm love but it sounds like the ladies in your family get the short end of the baby size stick! at least for the labour part lol. remember we make babies we can handle :) yeah, can't say i'm a fan of pregnancy, i'd love another but having to do that 10 months plus all the IVF crap again really isn't warming my socks.
wantababy - yes i got lots of sharp pains and weird feelings across my tummy, back and legs. it's just the baby moving in and making some space i think. :) My BF bought a stethoscope to listen to her bub, she said it was heaps cheaper and gave her that little bit of assurance at times of 'freak out'. ykwim?
lm- romantic weekend! woot woot. HOpe you had a great time love. and send that rain this way!
greenslw - labour vibes. that last stretch when you are so big and umcomfy is just terrible hey! but hope you are enjoying your mat leave. glad to hear you stopped when you needed to. My DH got really emotional during the labour, not cos of the baby tho, he said it was cos of the pain i was in and the strength i showed. He said he was in awe of me :), which made me feel great of course. These blokes, they are so sweet.
kyra - how did the move go? all settled??? Our Ash was on the small side of average and we had a 32week scan cos he had just one umbicial artery (having another scan next week) but all is well. Wow about the course! that's fabulous news, sending you saving vibes lol.
boc - that's no good about the GD? and big hugs for that very sad annivesary lovely oxox Gee that time has flown by love, before you know it little cookie will be here. And lol at the sneezing. Ash got two huge milky sneezes all over me yesterday... but he did a huge explosive poo on his daddy awhile ago so i'll take the sneezes lol.
hi dusty - glad to see your little phoenix is sticking strong love :) I had a 12, 20 and 32 week scans. the 32 week one was for development concers due to a single artery in the umbilical chord. When you first go off all scans and regular screening, it's really hard. especially in that 12 to 20 week time when you aren't feeling movements yet. but once the movement comes on i found that the most comfort. A nice cold glass of juice or coke would get ash kicking if he'd been quiet.
smithy - tap, tap, tap, tap ... waiting!!! lol.
bdt - hi lovely, i hope those girls are playing nice and growing big and strong these next few weeks. Come on bubbas, be nice to mummy and stay put and grow, grow, grow nice and strong. :) and congrats on the local delivery location. much easier for everyone i should think.
hi lani - you and me the same - i never quite get on! i read the posts and intend to post but someone usally decides to call just at that moment. hope you and Jett are well.
lilmiss - sorry to hear you guys lost your FIL and have had such a difficult time. sneding you big hugs love. and YOU take care of you sweetie.
oh lise - darling that sounds like you've had a really emotional time too. i hope your year starts to improve and that is lovely your grandad had his family there, as painful as it is watching them slowly go, I found with my granddad (cancer too) that is was real priviledge to be there with him and know he died surrounded by family and love. It is something that changed me and will stay with me for life. ox
melbel - the end is in sight!!! not long now love.
paula - hi love! hope you are well and healthy.
seph - good to see you've come back to us lol. what is it about KI?? lol. YAYAY boys rule the roost round here lol. thought 2010 was going to be the girl year heehee.
Well i've been MIA cos bub has been very unsettled. A bit colicky, ugh. But hopefully we are getting on top of it now, the heat isn't helping and he's getting overtired. He's growing great guns, nearly put on 1kg in just a month eeek! He's long and thin, so will be tall like his daddy.
and Greenslw - the rest thing is true but i always said you can't stock up on sleep so rest when YOU feel like it! plus it's amazing how you adjust to your new sleepign schedule. I haven't slept more than 5hrs in a row for over a month but i'm not a zombie or anything.
thinnking of you all... ash is starting to stir. best go feed him, it's warm today.
Grnslw-=- teehee.. Enjoy the hormones while you can cuz after bubs comes they wont be around for a while ;) Im glad ur sleeping better too Hmmm maybe it is finally that time huh? Good luck!
LM-=- Im not quite sure where Kangaroo island is but it sounds like you had a great time! All that relaxing on the beach and being away from home duties would be so refreshing... I just had a holiday in November up the sunshine coast and already Im missing the feeling :p
Peresphone -=- CONGRATS on the lil Blue bundle! Time to start decorating! I had a dream the other night that I had jelly bean and "he" was a boy too.. Do you think dreams have much to do with reality? I suppose even if they do it doesnt say much because Ive had dreams of having a pink jelly bean too :p Hope your feeling well!
lilmiss -=- How are you doing ??
Heya grub!! 100 points for effort girl that post was humongous! The move went great and I couldnt be happier with our new home :) We're settling in hopes of a very long stay if luck stays on our side we'll be here until we buy :) And thank you for the saving vibes :) Ive already started brushing up on some maths B sub subjects online at this free turoring website I found called Khanuniversity.com. Its actually really good and they have physics, chemistry, biology and heaps of other stuff up there with tutoring too so im going to find that mega handy when I start the course.. Contemplating starting in july but bubs will only be 2 months old so I will probably wait till feb next yr when things are more settled..
Sorry to here Ashton is having a colicky start.. DS was a Jan baby too ( he turns three on aus day) and had bad reflux and colic aswell.. I understand just how stressfull it is watching ur lil bub in so much pain and losing so much sleep etc etc.. And yes this time of year is disgusting heat too so you cant even really wrap them cuz they sweat to death! The first few weeks are so testing.. But you will get there hun! Gripe water I found worked amazing for DS and tyhey can have it from a really young age because its all natural.. You can get it from woolies or coles or any chemist.. Other then that just boiled water itself and patience i guess.. Hope this helps :)
Today is disgracefull! Im sitting here sweating like a pig with a bright red face (thank you for the pale pasty skin mum and dad :P) Bring on autumn hey girls! DS has been so good today and yesterday ... he's got his angel wings on :D Jelly bean kicking me all night again, and still seems to love laying across my belly and sticking its head out one side and its ... something? (knees/ legs/ feet??) out the other haha
Hope everyone is doing well.. Labour Vibes to our fed up 37+ weekers! <3 Ky
