LM - I am not sure where Kangaroo Island is either but I am glad to hear you had a nice time. I am in desperate need of a holiday.... waiting to hear if DH can get some time off and hopefully we will have a babymoon in March.

Grub - I hope you are enjoying every minute of these early days with Ashton, Sorry to hear he has had a bit of colic. I hope it passes quickly.

Saph - congrats on becoming an aunty again. I hope you enjoyed those snuggles.

Kyra - good luck with your study. Don't worry to much about your maths. I have always found that things fall into place quicker with further study. It's amazing how your perspective changes when you are actually interested and have your sights set on a goal.

Murph - thanks for the photo update. Jazzy is so gorgeous!

BOC - I have heard they can turn a baby with acupuncture. Not entirely sure how it works but it might be worth looking into.

AFM - We have had a busy week with interstate visitors. We finally got out evaporative cooling installed too. We ordered it back at the end of Nov and install day arrived. We got to use it 2 days before the cool change came through. I am really looking forward to my first appointment with the hospital midwife this week. Feels like we have been waiting for ever for this to roll around. I am hoping to hear the heartbeat again and we should get our bounty bag!

kyra I hear you loud and clear about the weather. when pg it is really really hard to get cool. I still sleep fan on window open when it's 12C outside! Poor shivering DH.

ATM wide awake again at 1.30am, "sigh" oh well it's nice in some ways to have the house nice and quiet and just have time to go through all my mum to be thoughts. besides I can sleep in tomorrow :D still not used to this not working thing ladies. Said that to DH today and he said you have 14 more weeks of this. I reminded him that Squeak would give me "lots to do" he seams to think "wish" that Squeak will be an easy baby and fit right in with our lives. I guess if you don't wish it then it wont happen but I think he's up in the clouds a bit?????

Had some extreme BH today while shopping, Made me stop in my tracks I must admit I though "oh no it's time" but when I stopped so did the pain. Now I'm even more scared of going into labor in public. That's it no shopping alone from now on. I think I could handle it if someone was there but on your own. I know nobody would mind (public) but it would be slightly scary...

Hi ladies! I would do persies but my beautiful boy wins the award for the fussiest baby in the Northern Hemisphere and as 5 minutes seems to be the longest I can leave him lying in his moses basket then 5 minutes is exactly how long I have on here!!

Thanks everyone for your lovely comments about my boy. I think he is absolutely delicious. I just love looking at him and snuggling him. Unfortunately he is rather fond of a snuggle as well and extremely fond of the boob so I am getting absolutely no sleep or time off being a snuggle and boob machine! He is a marathon booby monster and last night fed constantly from about 3am till 8 am!!! This has been happening almost every night of his little life and the daytime feeds are just as constant. The midwives say this is perfectly normal as he is building up his supply. I am learning to snatch an hour of sleep whenever he is. He does however also not settle anywhere apart from on my chest. So we have a little celebration everytime he settles in the moses basket for more than 5 minutes. We have certainly jumped right into the deep end and I guess the means that things can only get better......please??? LOL!

Smithy - wow 1st Feb. Not long to go now! Must be exciting to have a date that you can work towards.... I was wondering though why are they inducing you early? Will you tell people before the date or just wait till the baby comes?

Smithy well done, We will be exactly one week appart. I am having my C section on the 8th. It is all a little scary knowing that in 3 weeks time life as we know it is going to change. DH is now having to stay home with me after I come home from hospital. We are hoping for only two weeks. As long as I can drive I will be fine. I have had no more bleeding but was praying that maybe I was about to go into labour. Well really should go and get out of my pjs.

As for me, i am doing really well. Have been feeling brilliantly. No sickness at all just tired every afternoon but unfortunately i am at work so have to soldier on, no nanna nap for me! Looking forward to the 1st Feb to see the both munchkins again and also fly out on our lil trip.

Congratulations on carrying a little boy.Its so much easier knowing.I plan on finding out and its funny because i have always been set on waiting til the "day" but after looking at the shops,there are NO nice unisex clothes.What happened to lemon,pale green etc.The only things available are bonds coveralls and how exciting are they? Even target had sold out of the 0000 and 000 coveralls in the white.aaargghhh. Its also easier picking names when you know.Do you have names picked?

AFM~Well i am one day off my big 12 weeks.I have my first antenatal on Thursday (12 weeks 1 day) and get to see bub.As usual im getting nervous again...stupid me but kinda excited to reach the 12 week mark.Just need to see a healthy bub and i will be on my way.
I havnt put on any weight as yet as i lost my appetite and when i do eat its all healthy food such as fruit(endless amounts of fruit),vegies,crackers,toast,soup.Im trying so hard to force myself but it just makes me feel so off.Had my BP done at the local GP today (had to get a new referral for my ob (who WAS my ivf specialist and it was 90/60.Im normally 120/60 but came home and read that its normal for low BP in first trimester so that eased any worries.I was advised to eat some salty foods so i ate (forced,rather!) half a box of snakata roast chicken crackers down...eeewww.
My belly changes each day.mostly due to constipation and wind (TMI) but can feel the uterus now,about 3-4cm above my pubic bone.My stomach has always been very flobby since Connors birth and my ex boss used to say i looked pregnant even when i wasnt! notice she is an EX boss.:)

:lol: this has always been the plan hun as this is what my o/b likes to do with his ivf babies not sure why his choice and dh and i are more than happy to go with this as ive had all my 4 girls at 38 weeks except jaymee and she was 36 ,i have come 3yrs of ivf and worry about loosing my baby every day and am not willing to risk ageing placenta,i have spewed for 36 weeks now non stop been in and out of hossy and im so over it and i want my baby out lol :lol:and no i will tell everyone when shes coming as mum will have to know ,i want her in the labour ward and my other kids will know too.
here on bb i have a post it girl who my dh will call when bub arrives and shell let everyone know on the day :D

Hello ladies, I hope you are all well. It's raining here, so I'm delighted although the hound is bored to death already (typical!). Poppy - OMG - 5 hour feeds?!! Your boobs must be deserving of a medal by now! Hope he settles down sometime soon.

Paula, mitf, wantbaby - and anyone else in the Under 20 weeks section... I'm going to have a quick rant. My lovely cousin who lives here has astonishingly got his girlfriend pregnant (he thinks he's a playboy) and we had lunch yesterday and she's two weeks more than me. And she's as flat as a pancake and I'm looking distinctly paunchy. I'm afraid my rather uncharitable first thought was that she isn't pregnant at all, but that's mean isn't it. But I can't see how you can be sixteen weeks and not show remotely!!! So you can tell me if I am being unreasonable, which I know I am. I know everyone's bump is different, but can it be soooo small? Or am I really eating too much??? I'm finding it increasingly hard to sleep at night, I wake up every 2 hours or so. It's driving me mad. And the dreams... they are crazy. Is it just me?

I loved KI, we were there for three days. Just a short propeller plane ride from Adelaide. It was truly beautiful **TMI** the lovely new nightie did the trick, overlooking the balcony and a turquoise view of the bay. That ought to shut him up for a few days :lol:

right stroppy bored hound wants walking, I don't think she gets that I'm "working at home" not here for constant dog entertainment... sorry for the me post. Everyone has done such good jobs on the persies recently I'm embarrassed to even start! DH away in Sydney tonight, Brisbane Thurs, then Delhi for 10 days on Saturday - he's missing the dogs first birthday :cry:. But anyway, tonight it's veg curry, DVD, box of chocs, dog on my feet. Lovely xx

Decided a busy me is a happy me so I've decided to make my own flash cards for baby. A is for Apple etc. I though if I make them up on the pc then colour them in I'll have something to keep my mind off of (gulp) what's to come!

Don't get me wrong I want to meet Squeak so much just a bit scared of the few hours of pain to come! :o

LONDONMISS~ hahaha.Your funny.Regarding your cousins partner.I know a woman who was flat for the first 7 months!!! Really,you could not tell at all.she was very athletic,small build and had excellent stomach muscles.She was wearing the same jeans almost throughout her whole pregnancy.We used to think at first she wasnt pregnant too but 9 months later,there she was,a healthy baby girl.It was simply Amazing!!She was about a size 8 too and no one would EVER have guessed.
Im 12 weeks on wednesday and my bump is due to wind,constipation.My actual 'baby bump' is just above my pubic bone but due to lax tummy muscles i have always had a bulgy tummy.
I have been having crazy dreams too! lastnight i dreamt a friend came over to cook me a lamb risotto and cupcakes with cherry glaze.BUT firstly she rearranged my furniture,had her deceased father(who i never met)ice the cupcakes AND (get this bit..)She defrosted the lamb shanks (eewww)under the toilet so the overflow/leak would defrost them quicker!!! Are your dreams as crazy.i think im ready for the padded cell LOL

London Miss - everyone is different. Some people seem to pop really quickly and others hardly look pregnant at all. I think part of it comes down to how fit you were before hand and how tight your stomach muscles are. At 16 weeks I have put of 4 kilos (most of which is probably due to too many Christmas parties!) and don't look pregnant just a little chubby. I think the baby is just pushing out my usual little fat rolls. I am now making a conceited effort to watch what I eat more and I am looking forward to a few more weeks when I pop more and hopefully look more pregnant. I am having crazy dreams as well. I tend to forget them but when I first wake up am always amazed at what was going through my head!

Smithy - thanks. I hadn't heard of that before but I am sure your Ob has good reasons. Plus I don't blame you for being over it. You poor thing being sick for so long. At least you have your date to look forward to. I hope the next 2 weeks pass quickly.

Paula - glad to hear you are feeling well. I was disappointed to learn that the Bounty bag was mostly fliers. I had visions of samples galore when I first heard of them.

Green - You are brave shopping alone. I think I will be too scared to go any where alone in the last 2 weeks. Look forward to seeing if your DH's prediction comes true on Wednesday and I hope you have a quick labour!

Wannababy - Good luck for Thursday. I have my first midwife appointment Wednesday and am just as excited.

Got three hours sleep last night so I am well refreshed and able to write a bit more! I have been living on about 1-2 a night so 3 is progress!! I hope I don't jinx it by saying it but I think (fingers and everything crossed! :pray:) that these cluster feeds might have settled down for a bit. They may return but a week off would be nice!!

Smithy - yay for a date! Good luck with a smooth delivery! Yay for no more nausea and pregnancy hassles!

Green- must be soon for you! Labour vibes! Re Moses basket I forgot I was talking to Australians!! (apologies Londonmiss!! ;) ) I forget exactly what we call them in Oz but I think it is a bassinette. They call them Moses baskets here in the UK.

Saph - you must be looking forward to your date. It is miraculous how quickly the aches and pains of pregnancy disappear after birth hey? I have completely forgotten the agony of my pelvic pain and back aches but they have been replaced with the pain of these damn stitches!! But at least with the stitches and sore leaky boobs you get to cuddle your newborn!!

Wantbaby, Paula - enjoy seeing bubs at your antenatals!

Mitf - It all becomes real doesn't it when you see midwives etc!!

Right DH is giving Bubs his bath so I had better go to be on hand with the clothes etc.

Wantbaby - that's hilarious. That's such a pregnant persons dream - lots of food in there, and some underlying food hygeine issues! I had a great dream the other day that I'd worked out the plot for a great detective novel and I remember being asleep and waking up and thinking I must write this down. When I woke up, I remember thinking what a ridiculous story... oh well, fame and fortune are elusive...

poppy fairy - yes it took me a while to work out that a bassinette was the same thing as a moses basket! It's the first time I've heard a french word used by Aussies, when we don't use it. Isn't that strange. Language is an odd thing.

I hope you are all well. How's the sickness Smithy? Good luck for the midwife trip Mitf, let me know what happens as I have mine next weds. I have started a big family row. My brother in law is a Spurs fan (tune out now if you know nothing about English premier league football!) and his girlfriend is a Villa fan. And they both want to buy the baby the kit. It's escalated as they play each other on the 6th....How am I possibly going to manage this? So far, I've told them Baby G will be a rugby fan and that's shut them up... for a while.

ATM: Being a sloth today, well for me anyways, just lazing around the house, working on some little projects. It's a bit warmer today so I was in a sarong only until a moment ago when I though I'd better put a skirt on under to fetch the mail.

New neighbour has moved in :doh: I have really enjoyed having a vacant house at the back, now I can hear everything when I'm out the back. Not from inside due to double brick. She winges all the time to her parents, she's like 35! I love leaving my back door open, now I feel like there's someone right there, thank goodness for 6foot fences!

So no labor anything as yet. DH is still convinced tomorrow. Funny man, I said no more predictions after this as it will feel like a let down.

Still worried about the pain, but Having a little more faith in myself. DH promissed to forgive anything I say during labor, "just don't hit me" :D I wont.
