all is going ok here started to loose my mucus plug last night :dance: was only like a big bugga with no blood yet so still a while off for me yet id say but its something i suppose.

ATM doing the work countdown and loving it. My assistant was so cute she asked if she could visit in hosp. I said of course. Also only txt if urgent and email me from two weeks before I start work again. Sounds like a control freaks dream doesn't it ;) also we're having a team building day on the 31/3 and I'm going which will be about 3 weeks before I go back. Nice way to catch up without any decisions.
So now I need to pay the gap at the hosp and just relax.

smithy - so not fair wait for the rest of us. I have a question that involves way TMI. Normally at the end your CM increases right. What happens if it decreases to none? Is this a problem?
Haven't heard from poppyfairy for a while I wonder if she is now holding her baby boy.
Morning all!
I'm at work contemplating leaving for the day - is that bad after only 2 days back?! I think i'm getting a sinus infection, and i'm just really tired today. I've been having trouble getting to sleep - i'm usually a back or tummy sleeper so struggling to stay on my left side. As usual, I think i'm making things worse for myself by stressing out about sleeping positions (I often wake up on my back or right side) to the point that I force myself to lie in an uncomfortable position just cos I know I should... So silly.
Anyway, another question for you - in relation to the above has anyone used pregnancy pillows? What did you think? I'm wondering if they'll help me feel a bit more comfortable? I feel slightly ridiculous asking this as i'm only 15 weeks and only just showing, I know it's only going to get worse...!!

Forgot to say thanks for the replies regarding travel - feeling much more confident now that i'm not going to be a terribly selfish mother forcing her 10 week old baby to fly just because I want an overseas holiday!
Hey lise. I'm using my Christening teddy bear as a temporary belly pillow. It seems to fit perfectly, my belly goes on it's belly, legs and head keeping me in place : ) I too am a back and front sleeper so finding it a little odd but it seems to be working. Let me know how you get on with pregnancy pillow.

PG PILLOWS this is just my say ok.... i cant stand mine :o was ok when i was only a few weeks pg but now it takes up the hole friggen bed its to high and uncomfy and it was a waste of money i say. better off with just a normal pillow between your legs

I have been a serial lurker over the last few weeks. I have enjoyed reading your posts and keeping up with things but didn't really have time to post in the Christmas lead up. I am glad that January is looking like it will be a much quieter month.
Just wanted to jump in on this sleeping talk. What is wrong with sleeping on your back? I am a big back and sometimes side sleeper. I have never been told I shouldn't be sleeping on my back. At 14 weeks I am not really showing yet. I knew that I would end up sleeping more on my side when I got bigger but I though this was just for comfort not because you were supposed to.
Lise - most of my friends when they were pregnant have just used additional pillows to support themselves later in pregnancy. One under the belly and one under the knees or between the knees seems to be the way to go. Or I have seen these really long pillows which are about 2 meters long and you can get at BigW. I think they are about $40-60 and you can snuggle up to them.

:doh: yep thats the one i have, and i used it about twice but just cause i dont like it doesnt mean you wont love it hun.each to there own and mine was only $20 bucks from spotlight i think the pillow case cost more pmsl.
give it a try but id just recomend normal pillows
Don't feel ridicukous, I have been using extra pillows since I was 10 weeks, I was a tummy sleeper and was unable to do so from 6 weeks! I use 2pillows in front of me with my top knee bent and resting on them, the bottom leg straight, and I have 2 pillows wedged up behind me to stop me rolling onto my back. I find it a pretty good setup. Good luck!:

It's because when you lay on your back your uterus can fall back onto your vena cava (the vessel carrying blood to your uterus) and in some cases can block it off stopping supply to the baby. I don't think it's a huge issue in the earlier stages as your uterus is still fairly small and not heavy but I was always very wary of it. If I had a night where the only pain-free position for my back was to lay on my back I would just build up my pillows so I was elevated a little. HTH
Should i be sleeping on my side too? Im 10 weeks and not showing but have mostly been sleeping on my back.Im scared to do so now.:confused:
Don't stress - I think they advise not sleeping on your back from about 20 weeks onwards. Bubs and your uterus would not be heavy enough as of yet.:

Ive been sleeping on my side with one of those long belly support pillows since i was about 14 weeks. personally I find it helps alot with the backache and feeling comfortable.. Sometimes even if i sit sort of slouched on the couch on my back a bit I get a bit dizzy when I stand up.. Good idea about propping the pillows behind you so u dont roll on your back i might try that one..

I have hobbit feet, they are so swollen, next to no ankles. Not very attractive :redface: I guess I should stop walking around the shops buying cute baby gear.
I have a pregnancy pillow on one side of me, and a smaller normal type pillow on the other side, so it is easy to flip from side to side, but absolutely necessary to support belly and put between knees. Now if only my groin pain would leave me alone.
I saw my OB yesterday, both girls are breech :doh: I don't know how serious I need to be to try to do things to get twin 1 to flip at least. Travelling well so far, but at 33 weeks I guess I could go any time, and was really hoping for a VB, so could be running out of time. Any ideas?

Hello ladies
Appointment with Ob went really well yesterday. Both DH and i walked away happy with our choice of Dr. We are now all officially booked into hospital, Ob and well on our way :D I even got my bounty bad. How exciting. DH said we should have got two as we are having two bubs.. haha.. We opened up the sample nappy and couldnt believe how cute and tiny it is! Now booked in for NT scan on the 1st Feb, the day we leave for Thailand oh and the BT to go with the scan will be done on the 25th Jan. Cant wait to see our lil ones again and hope and pray all will be ok.
As for the belly pillow, i have been using a normal pillow for the last two weeks or so to rest sideways on as im kind of a half belly sleeper and feels really uncomfortable to lay on my belly. I dont think ill be buying a pregnancy pillow as i have heard lots of ladies say that they stop using it from mid to late pregnancy as it just gets in the way. Ill just see how i go.
Baby Dreamtime i hope you find a way to turn twin 1 and get the birth you really want. I have everything crossed for you.
Lise - just a quick thought. Been chatting to a friend of mine, who took her baby away at about 15 weeks, and she had a last minute panic because baby didn't have a passport. Admittedly, it was a British passport, and therefore probably took longer to get than an Australian getting a passport in Australia, but you might want to pick up the forms in advance and have the paperwork ready so that you can submit it as soon as bub is born and you've taken the photos (my friend had two sets rejected, check up on the requirements before you take baby in!) and find out where/ how etc? One less thing to stress about when baby is born, I guess.
AFM, I have a new strange symptom. My belly button itches. I don't think I've noticed my belly button for the 35 ooops no 36 years of it's existance. Is itching normal? I'm worried that I'm definitely sticking out at 12 and a half weeks and you 15 week ladies aren't! I might skip todays ice-cream....:redface:
Hmm - and I'm irritated too that I haven't had an OB appointment yet! Grrr. I want a goody bag!!!
