Hayseed - just checking in on you darlin.... wondering whether the pup is going to be pink or blue??? :D
Welcome new arrivals to the forum! My it's filling up in here.
Hay - glad to see you are still around ... was just wondering about you yesterday. Sorry to hear you have been ill. Boy it's really down to the wire now ... can't wait to hear the news that Pup has arrived safe and well.
Hi all,
LOL Keen, I still don't know about the pink or blue issue....yet. SOON!! Melbo has kindly given her phone numbers to us, so DH will let her know and then you'll all know!! (It's not imminent, but it will be soon!!). Yeah Jo, I'm doing the whole kitinkaboodle thing here - got the dipsticks for wee protien, got the protable monitor for BP and got the doppler for Pup's heartrate. I just have to go into midwifery every couple of days for the 15 min tracer on Pup's heartrate and uterine pressure. I have to go in again tomorrow, but I'm sure things will be much the same.
LOL Jo about not being able to brush properly....I'm in that boat. From almost the word go, I have had to hurridely brush my back teeth as I ALWAYS gag. I actually spew too! Noice! My aunty said that the same thing happened to her when she got pg and she never got past it. She still gags and her youngest is 9.
Sal, things going well for you?
TamB, and you??
Hayseed
Hi Hay, I was feeling sure pup was in the process of making an appearance when you hadn't surfaced for a couple of days! It must be like a medical centre at your place, you must feel quite professional!
For me, things going swimmingly in that I haven't suffered at all from being pg...that said, I really feel like there's nothing going on inside and I'm going to get horrible news at the u/s on Wed. I have a cold and feel horrible and last night I had a big cry over nothing, so as DP pointed out to me I may not have gotten off 'scott free' in pg as I think I have (he reckons that I eat more, I sleep more and and am more tired, am much more moody and my bbs are enormous...I kinda agree with him on most things but I still don't feel pg IYKWIM).
Jo, I had lower back cramps for about three weeks, they really scared me as they were the sort of cramps I get at AF time. I was petrified of going to the loo and doing the dreaded toilet paper inspection (still very much part of my routine). I read that other women get them too, but it's not that reassuring. I'm happy to say that they just disappeared.
Gaaaa-aaab, where've you been? Working too hard?! How are you doing?
Tiff, haven't seen you around few a little while either - you doing OK with your twins on board?
Amy, what's the next step for you over in NZ - do you get an early scan, or further BTs?
Hi Tam, Carrie, Cailin (if I've forgotten someone I'm sooo sorry and plead preg-brain!)
Hiya All
I'm hearing you guys on the toothbrushing gagging - did it this morning which was strangely reassuring!!
I'm up for another BT on Monday and then hopefully a scan in a couple of weeks. I really have no symptoms apart froma bit of light cramping still - boobs not sore, not particularly tired and apart from gagging on my toothbrush this morning no nausea. Anyway I know it's still early early...
Love to all, will do personals when I have more time.
Hello Everyone!!
Wow - away from the PC for a week or so and SO much happens!!
Cailin, Jo, Amy - WOW!! Congratulations to all of you, it is so fantastic to see more graduates from the LT TTC forum!! It really gives everyone else so much hope for their own cycles, I think it is fantastic. How are you all doing (sorry being lazy and not reading back!!).
I did read though Jo that your beta levels were more than ?2000 - sounds like you are doing a TamB/Trish thingo!! Cannot wait till you have your U/S!!
Sal - I am here, sorry. Still working stupid hours, not really enjoying myself at the moment. have come down really badly with the flu, and well, my work just said it is my problem to sort out someone to cover my job whilst sick - pretty funny considering we are in the business of caring for the sick!!
Trish - how are you and the twins??
TamB - almost 10wks already!! How are you going, how is M/S?? Hope you are really well.
Bel -how is baby gazing??
Hay - when is the big day? Has pups done the right thing and turn for you, or are you still looking at a caesar??
There must be heaps of people I have forgotten - sorry, I am gonna go back to my little warm bed, and try and post later. Have to get better by tomorrow because I have to go back to work.
Not much to report otherwise. Not feeling bubs yet (sadly), but get to see him again at my formal morphology scan in a few days. Cannot wait!!
Take care everyone. Love to all of you and sorry to anyone I have missed.
Hey Sal, cant believe your past the 11 week mark now! Looking forward to seeing your pg belly in avatar form.
Gab, I didn't feel Pup until almost 22 weeks (I think). I was getting rather stressed by it as I knew of others that were feeling butterflies at 16 weeks. And there is NO WAY Pup is going to turn. A definate caesar here!!
Sal, I didn't feel pg for a long time either. I'd say until I started feeling movement (see above comment). And then I 'popped' and then I felt pg. Now I feel like a beached whale!! LOL. When I was 11 wks it was Xmas time and I was still eating like a horse, had energy to burn, didn't look pg, was over the queasy feeling etc etc. I remember distinctly lamenting that I wish I felt pg! Oh how times have changed!!
Hayseed
Great to see all is going well in here. Or should I say 'swelling' in here, both bellies & numbers.
Hope to join you soon..
And take care
Hi Gab, good to see you're alive (...just! how awful to get the flu and your work sounds stressful, as if you don't have enough on your plate with worrying about who will cover for you). I have preg-brain, I'm afraid, so I forget when your morph scan is, but I know it's near my NT.
Thanks Hay, I feel a bit better now (about not feeling pg). I certainly am not looking forward to the 'beached whale feeling' - that is EXACTLY how my sister described feeling at the end of her pgs as well. So do you have a date for pup yet?!?! You know, sometimes I wonder if having a caesar is a better way than au naturale, but then I feel guilty for thinking that! Your situation is the 'perfect' one where you can't feel guilty about having a caesar IYKWIM. How do you feel about it?
TamP, glad to see you popped in here, I just saw how well 6 of your embies are doing, it's all looking very promising for you!
Keen, I'll be asking for a preggy avatar as soon as I see on Wednesday that there is someone (the nurse today when I got my bloods taken scolded me for saying 'something' instead of 'someone' 8-[ ) is growing inside. I feel like a fraud! It is nice to pass the 11w mark, but I still am having nightmares about having suffered a missed miscarriage...
How are all the other preggy girls feeling today?
Glad to hear that everyone is feeling great and doing well ;)
I have had a bit of a fright this morning and have spent a couple of hours in bed while Jack the lad was having his nap!
When I did the toilet paper inspection there was a bit of streaky blood in the mucus WTF??? THREE times! I rang my specialist in a panic and of course he wasn't there and had to ring me back. When he did, he could give me no real assurances except that 1. In these cases the body knows best. (Yes I'm sure it does, but I don't wannnnnnt it to.) 2. Approx half of his patients ring up with this (Gimmee their phone numbers so I can compare) 3. Some even have bleeding all the way through their pg (Yessss, I know this, it happened with Jack, just not this bl**dy early)
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
So when Jack went down for his nap, so did I!
And pleased to report that on doing the awaking pee and toilet paper inspection, there was nothing. AND boobs are STILL tender-ish and STILL having a gag (I shoved the toothbrush down my throat for good measure)
Oh why oh why is this happening??
Thats it, I'm NOT going to discuss baby things until AFTER the scan, I will come on here and update you about my kittens instead ;)
So Jo how are your kittens going ;) Sorry to hear about your scare, how long til your scan?
Jo, must be vary scary. Hope all is OK, sounds promising that it has stopped and you are still having preggy symptoms. Am sending you some additional sticky vibes just in case
Jo!!
Sorry to hear about your scare. I had bleeding at nine weeks, and panicked just the same, and it wasn't just on the loo paper either!!
There is nothing good that I can say to make you feel less stressed (trust me I know - nothing worked on me either, lOL!!), but as long as it is only a little streak here and there, no blobs and not too much cramping, it is usually OK.
Keeping all my fingers and toes crossed, and mountains of sticky vibes to you!!
Oh Jo honey, thinking of you. I'm sure it's just those embie(s) burrowing nice and deep. Take Care Love.
Thanks guys.
Gab - You have reassured me, it was only streaks in the mucus, I thought perhaps I might have even cut myself???? Def no clots and I think the "twinges" in my tummy are all in my mind ;) You all know how it is :)
Sarah- They are 4 inches long at the mo! Can you believe that? I have not seen them, they are too far away and besides mummy cats do not like strangers peering in at her litter LOL! The breeder will take some pics when they are a little bigger, prob about the 3-4 week mark!
Have not had anymore streaks so are starting to breath a sigh of relief.
I looove kittens :D What type are they? I would love a new kitten for Zander to grow up with, but my 12yo cat would beat it up :(
Jo sweetie sorry to hear about your scare, IKEWYM! I too had the same thing, but I am certain it was implantation which is definitely a GOOD sign! And also don't forget if there's 2 in there its even more common ;)
Awwww @ the kittens *sniff* they sound soooo cute!
Take care guys! Talk soon!
*hugs*
Cailin
Ohhhh I almost forgot ;)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAILIN!!
Stil no more streaking, so I am feeling a little happier now *phew*
SArah - My kittens are Bengals.
Happy Birthday Cailin, you goddess you! Hope you had a fantastic day. Did DH and DD bring you something nice?
Jo - so relieved that your spotting has ceased. I can only imagine how nerve wracking it must be.
Sal - Looking forward to hearing good news from your u/s next week. Hope you have lots of nice pictures to show us afterwards!
Gab - you're some kind of legend, putting in those hours in your condition. Hope you're feeling better today.
Love to all who are nurturing, growing, developing ...
Mel
Gosh - so much happens in here so quickly...i forgot after being away from the TTC thread.
I'm so happy for those who are finally pg...!!
Jo, Glad to hear that things are looking better - it must have been a horrible scare. Here I am at nearly 22weeks and I still check the toilet paper!
Hay - glad to hear that you're still hanging in there. It must be getting to that very scary/exciting stage now!
Gab - Hope you're doing well, but I definately think you should tell work to stuff it!! Just make sure that you're looking after yourself sweety...bubs and you are too important!
I'm sitting here and finally feeling a few good thumps from bub's - but hubby can't yet feel it. It's a good feeling though. Plus I had the first person come up to me today and ask when I'm due (when I didn't know her) which must mean that I'm starting to look a bit pg! Yay!
Keen and Mel - Can't wait for you guys to join us in here....I constantly send good vibes your way.
Wow Carrie - you're over halfway there! Do you know what you're having (a baby obviously but just wondering if you know the sex!!)
Jo - So glad things have settled down, not long till your scan. I have a 6 month old Burmese kitten. OMG he is such a handful - so demanding and persistant. I do love him though even when he's jumping on my head at 6am or biting me on the boob when he climbs under the covers. Yes he does that, gives me a h%ll of a fright. We've had to tape doors closed because he jumps up and lets him and the dog out!!
Love to you all!
LOL at your kitten Amy! My mum has 2 bermese & they are cheeky little things always opening doors to get out!
Only some teeny tiny spots today.
11 days to my scan and counting.........
Amy - Your Burmese saounds like a real handful, I love them, they look really snuggly and their eyes are gorgeous!
Is it still 11 days to my scan?
My MIL has 2 Burmese - totally inside cats - but when 1 was much younger, it also used to hang off door handles and open doors. Cheeky buggars. We have 2 cats here at home ourselves - they are just your general run of the mill bitsa cats. Although they look identical, even though they are not even remotely related!!
Sal, yeah I guess I do have the 'perfect' c-section experience coming up. One that is planned by medicos for me well in advance! When I was first told that Pup was breech and may have to be a caesar, I was disappointed, but as time went on and Pup didn't turn, I just accepted that a c-section was how it was going to be and it was pointless and useless wishing that it was every goi9ng to be something diefferent (ie a vaginal birth). Yeah, I would LOVE to expereince the whole unknown side of things about going into labour, but when you really look into it, there is just as much hard work associated in the recovery phase after a c-section that the vaginal delivery mum misses out on. So I don't think anyone gets off scot free!! You either pay for it prior to baby born (vaginal) or pay for it after (c-section)! And living so far away from hospital (2 hrs) and also on a dairy farm (where cows are not going to stop being milked, fed, calved etc) it is nice to be able to plan stuff for DH's and my departure!
Jo, like others, I also had spotting early on. Everything was perfectly fine. Wish it didn't happen, because it also gave me a hellovafright, but everything was normal. As it will be for you too!!
Carrie, yep, it is getting exciting/scary/apprehensive now!!
Hugs to everyone in here
Hayseed
Hi everyone,
Just popping in to say HI :smt039 hope you are all doing well.
Sal, look out for your parcel Monday or Tuesday. Posted it on Friday. Sorry about the long delay but have been housebound for the last week with sick kiddies. So exciting to see you are almost 12 weeks!!!! Can't wait to get there myself, it will be a huge sigh of relief for this little mother. I hated the two week wait but I tell you, the 12 week wait is a killer!!!
Congrats to Cai and Jo and Amy!!!!
Tiff, thanks so much! The timing is perfect otherwise I'd have been reading on hypnobirthing rather than studying 8-[ . Glad to hear that you're OK, hope your kiddies were not too sick (I'm only now starting to notice how often my sister's kids get sick, quite often my sister and BIL getting it too, that's something that I hadn't thought about vis a vis parenthood!).
Hay, am starting to get very excited about pup's arrival, surely it will be soon?!
Jo, glad to hear that the spotting is going, your u/s countdown must be under 11 days now.
Tiff I agree the 12WW is an absolute killer, and much more anxious than the 2WW too. I have started to talk to DP in terms of 'once I know that there is something growing in me, then....' and he tells me I'm being ridiculous because I'm obviously pg, but I just don't feel it. Argh, Wednesday cannot come soon enough.
...assuming that there IS something growing inside of me, I'll be posting my piccies on Wednesday plus agitating for a preggy belly on my av.
Gab, hope you're getting over your flu. When will your work hours approximate something 'normal'?
Hi Carrie, Cailin, Amy, Tam, hope you're all doing OK this morning.
Tiff, wow what service, the book and CD arrived just now! Thank you so very much, I can't wait to read the book and listen to the CD. I am now realising that perhaps it isn't so much which hospital I have the bub in, rather how I approach the birth and how prepared I am that really matters. I'll certainly let you know how I go with the book and CD. Thanks again, that was so lovely of you O:)
Sal I'm hanging out to see your u/s pictures, not long to go now! I just got the results of my second BT back today and all is looking great - up around the 5000 mark now so I have breathed a small sigh of relief. You're right though - bring on the 12week mark. I have absolutely no symptoms yet but it's early days.
Hope everyone else is good.
Take Care
That is great news Amy
thinking of you
Amy, those numbers are great! Do you have a date for your first u/s yet?
Yep, getting piccies posted will be my number one priority on Wednesday (assuming everything is OK... 8-[ )
Thanks Shannon! I've been following your story but haven't been able to think of an adequate thing to say (I always worry about making some post that will be seen as trite or cliched). But I'm thinking of Jessalyn and you and family and I hope all works out well.
Thanks! It's at 8.30am, which is great because I don't have too many hours in the morning for my nerves to flair up.
What on earth is gong on here ](*,) BB keeps disconecting me when I hit the submit button ](*,) and I have to log in again and I lose my post ](*,)
Sal- Have fun on Wednesday! Do they still copy it onto a video, or are they more advanced and use dvd now?
Amy - Woohoo! Isn't is great when your numbers keep going up!
I'm still spotting here ](*,) today's was a brownish color, still only a tiny bit. Anyway after 4 mornigs of it, I made an appt with my GP to have another BT done. Got the results back a couple of hours ago, my levels have risen to 29064, I'm taking that as a good result :D Nice jump in a week!
8 days to my scan!
Hope everyone enjoyed there weekend!
Jo
Jo, those numbers are just great! =D>
Re the u/s, not sure what happens. At the 6w one I didn't even get a pic, I had to take a photo of my xray. Either way, blobby will be appearing here again!!
Wow Jo those numbers are great. I'm sure everything is fine - if it's twins then there's a lot going on in there which could explain the spotting! Can't wait to hear about your scan.
I have to ring the clinic today and get my dates for the scan. I think they do it at around 7 weeks here, so in another couple of weeks.
Sal can't wait to hear how you get on tomorrow, will be nice piece of mind for you!
Jo do you think you'll get a ticker after your scan??
Sal and Jo,
both of your scans will be fine!!!
(still here) Hayseed
Amy - Yeah, all going well, i will get a ticker after the scan and also announce it properly here!
YAY no spotting this morning! Hopefully it was nothing! Feeling a little queasy atm, strange time to have morning sickness LOL
Hope all is well
Jo
Hi Hay, good to see you're still around! You know, I was thinking yesterday about how you nervously announced you were pg way back in November, then were (understandably) so nervous about your scans. Not fully understanding your history, I always thought you'd be fine. So thanks for reassuring me now!
Jo, yay on no spotting. Yay (kinda, you know what I mean) on getting m/s ...you know...if it's twins :-$ ...it's likely to set in earlier... ask Tam
