Sounds like you are looking at things exactly the right way! Good for you. I think that research sounds pretty sensible to me. Of course the DNA from both parents is going to have a result on the baby in everyway so it stands to reason that you have a better chance than the intial reslults show. Hope the days fly by to the 9th for you!

Hi ladies. I must again apologize for not being in here much. I am still suffering with MS so most nights when I get home from work I just like to veg out on the couch. I am in 2nd tri now so hoping things start to ease up a bit now. Starting to get a real bump now and can't do any of my pants up. Kinda scares me about how big I am going to get if this is what I am like now. Oh well.
How is everyone going. I am trying to catch up but have missed quite a bit so please forgive me.
Satya - You sound like you have a great attitude to all of this. Way to go. It is strange how they only take the mothers details to asses the risk seeing both parents have created this child.
Sazz - Sounds like you are having real trouble sleeping. You are so close now. That must be so exciting!!!
Hi to everyone else. I hope you are all well and all had a great Christmas. I will try and catch up with everyone.
Night xx
-
kate & sazz - It's always been thought that it was only the mothers age that made a difference with downs and other genetic disorders and it's only since it's become more common for ladies to have younger men in their lives that they've even bothered to look at it. It certainly makes sense to me that it could make a difference. I find it weird that there's been very little research on it.
kate - I hope your MS improves soon. I've been really lucky - I haven't had any at all yet.
-
Hi Kate, I sure hope you start feeling better soon, it is such a long time to feel yucky!!! I guess double the hormones isnt helping any? Surely not much longer??? And yeah, I think you might end up with a bit of a bump, if looking at my own bulging belly is anything to go by and there is definately only 1 in there!
I guess you're right satya, it is only of recent times really that couples are going both ways in the age difference, it used to only ever be the other way round. Kind of funny that since women live longer anyhow... would make more sense if we all had younger men then we wouldnt be without them for so long in our old age.
GP for me again today. 38wks3days. Hoping he will say something is happening but I somehow dont think so. I will let you know if it is!!!
-
Ohhhh Sazz...getting so close!!! How exciting!
Enjoy these remaining days with little bub in your tummy...it's a very special time...the kicks and squirms!!!
And very soon...you'll be meeting your little one!
KTgirl...great to hear from you...2nd trimester already...how time flies! Hoping the m/s clears really quickly (you're such a trooper!!!)
We're doing well...I've finally lost track of how old Felix is (in weeks)...he's 4 months though! Doing beautifully...just went through another growth spurt which had some 'fussy' times but came through great.
Hope all had a wonderful Chrissy.
-
Hi Monnie. I can't believe little Felix is 4 months already. Wow. I bet he is getting big now. Did he got spoilt for his first Christmas?
Sazz- Good luck with your appointment today. Hopefully something will start happening for you soon. Sending you lots of labour vibes lol :D
How is everyone else feeling today?
-
Hi all
Good to see you back Ktgirl. Hope the ms eases up for you soon. As for your clothes - sorry hun, but you're pg with twins! Take it easy.
Wow - 4 months already Monnie? It seriously just seems like a few weeks ago that Felix was born....
Hope the doc visit went well Sazz - anything happening yet? You've still got a couple of weeks yet, i guess...
Good on you for getting a younger man Satya. Hope all turns out well for you with amnio.
Jelly has been super busy lately - really active. i guess that's normal for around this stage of pregnancy.
Hope everyone had a really good christmas. And happy new year for next week too.
-
Hi everyone!
Hope everybody had a wonderful xmas, sorry I haven't been on for soooooooo long but it's pretty busy work being a new mum as you will all soon learn.
Welcome to the newbies & congratulations.
Xmas was so much fun as Jenna got so spoilt, although I did get diarreha, (not sure how to spell that) xmas arvo so I wasn't too good.
So it was a big lesson for me that I should have some formula on standby because if I had of been vomiting as well I have no idea how I would have feed bub.
Sorry if all that was a little too much information.
In the last 2 weeks bub has been having either a 4 or 5 hour sleep in a row when she first goes to bed which is fantastic, she doesn't sleep much after that but with xmas & the 44 degree heat she hasn't had a big sleep for about 4 nights so starting to get very tired again.
4 - 5 hours sleep in a row sounds great but when bub goes to bed around 8.30 - 9.00 the suns still up so we still don't get the full 5 hours, oh well.
Hopefully I can get back on here soon.
Sazz - can't wait for the next few weeks for you so we can hear about your new little one!
Jo - 28 (treated endo)

Hello everyone...hope the Christmas's went well. All is going well for us. Bubba is moving around like a trojan still, despite all the internet sites saying they tend to slow down a bit from here on in, and i must say, the extra weight is starting to "weigh" me down. Getting comfortable anywhere - sitting, lying, standing - is becoming difficult. I know i shouldn't complain as i'm only just 60kg's and only carrying 1 bubba, but for me that's big, and the belly is straight out in front rather than hugging around the hips and waist so dressing, wearing shoes other than slip on's is becoming a tiresome task.
Satya - good luck with the amnio, i hope you have found others on here to ask questions of given none of us seem to be able to help (sorry)
KTgirl - welcome back and don't apoligise for the absence, hopefully the ms eases up for you, even now i can't really remember the ordeal of my ms, it left at aroudn 14weeks and there's been so much happen since then that i've kind of erased it from my memory!
Sazz - i am so excited for you, 38+ weeks, it's all just so close, can't wait to hear your BA...hope Doc gave you some indication of things happening, particularly given all the contraction etc you were talking of a while back.
Monnie, you mentioning Felix's age reminds me of how much time has passed since i first came in to chat with you guys, it has just flown hasn't it. I really think this forum helps keep focus on the important things and just allows the time to lapse so quickly. Congrat's on Felix's 1st Christmas!
Well, probably won't chat again until the New Year...bring on 2008! Hope you all have a good one, i know i intend to, whatever that may be. We've got a few offers/options and just haven't made up our minds as to what we'll do, but if my body dictates it at all, it will be to watch the fireworks on the morning news as i attempt to sleep through the celebrations! Hugs!

Hi girls, sounds like everyone had a good chrissy. We got back last night from my parents and will go away again sometime around thursday for our first visit with the new OB.
sazz, glad your scan went well :) Are you having any niggles yet?
Welcome Kenziesmum :hello:
Satya - how great about your hospital visit. will be thinking of you on the 9th, and hope all goes well.
BIG hello to everyone else that I missed. I have been feeling heaps better since coming off my medication. I have even been sick a few times and felt so much better afterwards LOL.
Only roughly another 34 hours and it will be 2008, which means we go from saying our babies are due next year to saying our bubs are due this year!! How scary is that!!
Nic
-
Kimbe - I work with a woman who's had an amnio and for her it wasn't painful and the result was a good one so I'm reassured by her experience.
-
Hi everyone, hope you arent suffering too much in this heat!
I went to a hens lunch today and when we got there we found out it was outside seating and it's 40C here today!!!!! OMG I was mopping my brow with my yellow paper napkin so much I was worried the dye would all come out and give me a yellow face!!!!! My feet are like balloons now which is fine cause now they match my belly too. Caught a glimpse of myself in the reflection of a shop window today... Oh my giddy aunt!!!! I am HUGE!!! And everyday I can see myself getting a bit bigger so who knows how enormous I will be by the end.
Still no action here.... it would be so convenient to have this baby tonight so then I would be out of hospital in time to go to the wedding we have next weekend. Somehow I think I am going to go overdue. Mum had to be induced with both of us. I wonder if that is a family trait, does anyone know?
So glad to hear everyone is back and survived christmas, now just have to get through new years too.
Monnie - I can hardly believe Felix is 4months already!!!! You must be amazed how fast it has gone. I bet he is a different little person by now.
Jo - Sorry you had a shi**y christmas (no pun intended!!!!! ok, well maybe a little intentional lol). I had a tough time the friday night before with what I thought was gastro but may have just been my extreme reflux combined with some funky kinda prelabour. We were going to the inlaws on the saturday and I didnt feel like it but managed to battle my way through.
Catch you chickies later. Hope I will have something to report soon! ;)
-
Hi ladies, big hello to everyone....im still here:hello:
Glad you are all still going strong and I hope you all had good christmasses. Such a build up and now its all over, oh well good old New years eve to come....sparkling grape juice for us all and of course if your anything like me, I shall need waking up for the fireworks at midnight......but next year will so different that I am going to force the old party animal out...so we will see if I can hit 9pm lol:D
Welcome to Satya and Kenzies mum i'll have to duck back to see if I have missed anyone else:redface:sorry If I have.
So close Sazz, ooohhhh its getting exciting.
Me - well i am officially halfway:confetti:....looking increasingly bumpy.....and the ladies are growing wonderfully, I may never see a b cup again yahooo......but with all the good things there is always some ****e... my doctor has left the area:(, (the nice message was posted in the weekly newspaper!!) so in a year this will be my 5th!!!!!and I am yet to feel any proper movement, I am trying not to get to obsessed with that, I know when she gets going she will go full throttle and then I shall complain but I just need a sign.
Oh well few more hours left of 2007 and the big one is on its way :p My news years resolution is to try to be less neurotic.... Happy New Year ladies:confetti:

Wow.... Monnie cannot believe Felix is 4 months, my goodness time just flies. Glad you are doing well and that everything is looking good with Felix.
Kimbe, I too got an early start and washed all the little ones clothes, it was so funny hanging them up, DH had a good laugh while he had a go at hanging them too.
Satya, I really admire your positive outlook.....I guess its the only way. Good luck with the test.....blessings to you and the little one.
Sazz, ohhh hun, not long and you will be holding the little one, hope you are doing ok with the heat....are you nervous? I am starting to as I am hoping on a natural birth but every time I watch birth clips on youtube I panic and start to cry. What is funny is that I am more scared of the epidural than anything so natural is the only way for me.
Nic, I am glad you are starting to feel better, hope it stays that way or it gets better.
Jo, so glad Jenna is doing well, and starting to have a better sleep pattern.
Marcellus, Ktgirl, Lismith, looks like you girls are doing pretty well, and no drammas...
Wishing everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR, blessed with love, peace and prosperity.
-
Well girls 2007 is nearly over. I can't believe where this year has gone. Time files when your having fun. And to think in the new year we are all going to be mummies... how exciting
:hello: Ltl Panda how are you going?
Lismith - Hey good to see you. Ahh the good old sparkling grape juice is making an appearance tonight (Mmm mmm I actually love the stuff lol). I think I will be just watching the kiddies fireworks at 9pm and then heading home lol. We are all such party animals aren't we. Woo hoo on reaching half way
Sazz - You poor thing in that heat at lunch. I can't believe the weather at the moment. Everywhere is having this heat wave except for QLD. It is windy and rainy and miserable here, never mind good snuggling weather for our day off tomorrow!!! Hope it cools down for you soon, sending lots of labour vibes your way.
Nic - Good luck with your first app with your new Ob. Let us know how you go.
Kimbe - Glad to hear all is going well for you and bubs is still giving you loads of movement.
Hi DJTTC, Monnie, Mako, Marcellus and Satya. Sorry if I have missed anyone. I hope you are all well.
Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR ladies :confetti: I can't wait to share 2008 with you all!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Hi ladies. I managed to make it to midnight but only by snoozing on the couch in front of the airconditioner. The quietest and laziest NYE ever for me. On our way home from staying over we got stuck on the side of the road in 40 degree heat with two flat tyres. Picture it.... 1 over emotional pregnant woman, 1 cranky DF, 1 hot fluffy dog and one over excited 4 year old in the heat with no tyre shops open anywhere. My DF is still on his way home in the tow truck so hopefully he will be home shortly. Well at least we will never forget this new years day. The only plus side was that due to the heat I didn't need to use the loo.
-
Ohhh Satya, stuck in the car in the dreaded heat is not something I would like to go through.....I get sick with the heat, yesterday we went to my in-laws for lunch and I ended up throwing up as it got to hot in the house, they only have evaporative cooling and that does nothing on 41 degree days.
Good on you for staying up to greet the first minute of 2008, I unfortunately went to bed at 11:30 could not last another 30 min....that is shocking, we will all have to make up for it next year.
Ktgirl, I am doing great hun, really good, counting down the weeks now. Lost parts of my mucus plug for the past 3 weeks and the midwife reckons the little one will come at any time now. Hopefully not for the next 2 weeks, it will be a little to premature.
How exciting for all of us, we will be mummies this year, how good does that sound mummy?.daddy?its so special?.
-
Hello everyone, how good is it that 2008 is here - this is going to be a fantastic year for all of us.
Satya - well done on seeing the NY in at midnight, i think i was asleep by 10.30ish, only to be woken by an sms from my sister at 12.40 to let me know it was 2008 and that she was full of the party spirit (in all ways!), i haven't even seen the fire works display that was on in Sydney yet, i keep missing the footage on T.V. so, that's pretty dismal of me! Your NYD sounded horrendous, but you seem to be able to see the positive side of things now that it's over and that your home!
Ltl P - how exciting about the prospect of an early bub. The count must definately be on for you. Can i ask though...without wanting too gory details...how do you know your muscus plug is coming away?? I have been having increasingly excess discharge for the whole pregnancy, i hate it. Is the mucus plug similar just slightly discoloured or completely different again?? Given i'm only a few weeks behind you, the idea of not knowing what to expect is a little daunting, or if something does happen, i don't want to come across like some bizarre pregnant woman ringing the midwives freaked out IYKWIM! Sazz, Satya, anyone else experienced it before able to give me an idea??
Hope alls well with everyone and that the belly's are growing nicely.
-
Hi girls,
Satya, you poor thing, 2 flat tyres, you wouldnt read about it!!!! And of course it had to be in 40C. Was DH hung over too? Heat is no fun when pregnant or hungover. Poor you! Glad you survived though, I would have been overemotional too!!!!!
Ltlpanda, when are you due? Sounds like things could be happening for you soonish???
11.30pm isnt too bad! Anyway, it will come around again next year so you havent missed anything special lol. We went to a pool party which was just what I needed. I wasnt looking too glamorous with my tankini not meeting inthe middle anymore but I didnt care since it was 42C here. We came home by 11.30though as DH had to be up at 5am to go to work. I didnt get to sleep till after 2am for some reason and was up by 6am so I just did all my house work etc and rested up in the arvo.
Kimbe, dont worry, the midwifes are used to bizare preg women ringing them!!! We all get a bit like that at some stage lol. The plug is a bit like snot!!!! (apparently, as I havent seen mine yet) some ppl get it all come away in a big glop but most get it a small bit at a time for a week or so. It can be clear or pink tinged but it it is bloody you need to tell someone. You can tell it isnt wee or CM by the smell, (if you are confused) as is is supposed to smell like semen. I wont be checking that though lmao!!!
Me: less than a week now supposedly but somehow I think this will be a late bub :( I would like to go onthe due date which is next tuesday so will have to start trying those old wives tales out soon ;)
Another hot one here..... will just flop on the couch I reckon.
Hi to everyone else, hope the new year brings happiness to us alllllllll!
-
Hey guys
Happy new year!
This is the first NYE that I was in bed before midnight!!!
Felix has decided he wants to reinitiate 3:30am feeds!!! Fun fun fun! I think it's part of his 19 weeks developmental leap.
Satya...you poor thing! Like you way, a NYE to remember!
Ltl Panda...wow! Time truly does fly! When are you due? It just feels like yesterday that you were announcing your pregnancy...amazing!
Sazz...ohhhhh!!! So exciting! Only a few days to go...Felix was 8 days late...and it really wasn't that bad having to wait those few days extra. But hopefully things will really start happening soon. I'm a 6 January baby...so maybe I'll have a little twin (only 37 years younger than me!!!)
Kimbe...sorry can't help you! I never saw my mucous plug (actually don't think it ever started coming away)!
KT girl...14 weeks already! WOW!!! Yep...you'll be a mummy x 2 in no time!!!
Mako...DJTTC...hope is going well with Sage and Jenna.
To everyone else I've missed...Lenny, Lissmith, Marcellus, Nic...and others (sorry!)...have a wonderful 2008...so brilliant that we'll all be mummies by the end of this year!!!
-
Hi girls. Happy new year!! I hope you are all well.
Ltl Panda - That is exciting about the bub being so close. But lets hope it hangs on a little bit longer.
Satya - You trip home on NYD sounds terrible you poor thing. Glad to hear you made it home safe after all.
Hi everyone else. Belly rubs to all :bellyrubs:
-
Hi ladies, quick post. My old OB rang me last night and explained my combined results and I'm now feeling more confident. My risk due to age is 1/40, then the adjusted result with BT (completely normal) and NT measurement puts me at 1/37 so it's not terribly much different to the average for my age.
I've put up a poll in what am I having as I will be finding the sex out in a few weeks when I get the amnio results. It's starting to look very one sided.
-
Kimbe, it looks like a big clump of snot...sorry it sounds yuck but its the best way to describe it, its also got a pink tinge or little things that look like blood vessels. I had its it come away in bits and not gust one whole heap of it at once.
Satya, glad you are getting some feedback?..it brings up your confidence a whole heap.
Monnie, your little boy sounds like he is a good eater?.
Sazz, I so though this will be the week?..I was truly not expecting for you to be online?.I though the heat would have assisted with bringing the birth day a lot sooner.
Well girls, I woke up with period pains today and really heavy feelings, midwife said it could just be the baby is really low and that is what is causing the heavy feeling.
We will have to keep an eye on it?..
-
happy new year all.
i had a very exciting night - wandered off to bed at about 11 after watching a movie. forgot it was new years. ;)
Sazz, it sounds like Ltl Panda might beat you to the punch... Either way, we're all looking forward to some birth announcements pretty soon.
Satya - what a sucky new year's day! That's good that your combined risk factor is more or less average. Do you have any inkling as to boy or girl?
Happy birthday for next week Monnie. Any special plans?
now, hands up girls who are going to sniff the globs of snot in their panties... :p
-
Thanks Marcellus!
No big plans for my birthday...just a family get-together...we may set up an outdoor cinema if it's nice weather...
Heading off to Rottnest next week...a whole week of Rotto bliss! Can't wait!
-
marcellus - I think girl, DF thinks boy. We've both dreamt what the sex is so we both think we are right!!
-
Lots to read and catch up on, but just wanted to quickly say hi to Sazz! Are you still lurking around here...or have you grabbed that bag and made a mad dash to the hospital! Hope you are feeling OK.
Nic - hadn't thought about the fact that he's due this year. THIS year. Wow, life is about to change!
Take care all, and will catch up better soon.
-
Hi Lenny, Thanks for asking but YES I am still here. DH told me today when he left for work that he thinks he will be hearing from me today. Wishful thinking maybe. We have a wedding to go to tomorrow that I dont want to miss so if I can hold out till sunday that would be good. However after waiting 10 years I am willing to take my baby whenever nature deems fit!!!!!
Lots more ligament pain but nothing else happening. Ltl Panda, sounds like you are feeling like me. Lucky you!!!
Satya, not much chance both of you are right???? Must be one or the other unless it is both. ;)
Monnie, hope you have a fantastic holiday. Enjoy!
Ktgrl, hope you are starting to feel better now? This heat wouldnt be helping you any.
Bye for now chickies, hope I can come back soon with some news of some kind!!!
-
Take care Sazz...so exciting!
It really is starting to count the days, if not hours til you meet your little one!!!
Wonderful!
I had a lot of ligament pain in the last bit of the pregnancy too...fun fun fun!
-
C'mon bugalugs! Bound to come in the middle of the wedding, now that you've mentioned it :p
How're you doing Ltl Panda?
Have a great trip Monnie. I've never been to Rottnest... been thinking i should for quite some time now ;)
Satya, my first thought was boy, and I see most of the respondents to your poll think the same. 50:50 odds either way, hey?
Hi everyone else. Nearly the weekend again!
-
sazz - oh oh hours, !!! marcellus is right you know it will be at the wedding!! talk about upstaging the bride :D
Satya - i'll be on your side and go pink, but im rubbish. I kind of thought I would have a boy first, but im having a mini-me which terrifies me as I was a horrible child:redface:
Ltl Panda - looks like your not gonna be far off, mucous plugs away;) I have to admit that the very talk of things like that, sends a shiver down my spine, but at least I will now know what to look for.
Well I think she has started to move, NYD had the first significant bubbles dead cntre and very low, which I could feel on the outside and its happened a little everyday since, so I guess its her highness. And rolling, though I cant feel that on the outside yet...there is definitely something going on in there, but Im still waiting for my alien moment.:D Docs on sunday so I should get another heartbeat opportunity, very exciting.
Big hello to everyone else:hello: hope your all doing well xx
-
lismith, movement is always great, love the feeling....after a while when the little one gets bigger it almost feel like there is an alien in you.
Marcellus, I am doing just fine thank you..... how are you doing. Is the hot temperature getting to you?
Ohhh Sazz, I am so happy for you, I just keep on looking back when I was reading your pregnancy announcement and was saying to myself gees I hope my IVF cycle will be successful like hers... and here we are, a couple of weeks apart in our pregnancy....so looking forward to the day you announce the birth.
This is what is good about this forum, you get to know some very lovely people.
-
Happy New Year to you all. Hope you had a good one ;)
Sazz I wish you all the very best hun and am so looking forward to seeing your B/A soon.
Ltl Panda It sounds like things are starting to happen for you aswell. How exciting and what a great way to start the year.
Monnie Wow Felix is 19 weeks already. How that time has flown!!!! I bet he is keeping you on your toes lol :D
We came back from our camping trip today. We managed really well considering. Sage was such a good little boy even though he picked up his first cold thanks to my SIL and niece(GRRRRR):wall: Had to happen sometime I guess and I also got mastitis(OUCH)
Hope you are all doing well and those bellies are gowing beautifully. I'll try and come back on soon and catch up on more personals.
-
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!
Sounds like most of us had a quiet one. Glad I wasn't the only one.
Sazz and Ltl Panda - just wanted to wish you both all the best as delivery draws nearer. How exciting! Looking forward to your BA's. Am loving all this talk of snot-like mucous plugs. Delightful! LOL!
Marcellus - don't plan to do much sniffing myself. You?
Nic - how are you going? Hope all went superbly at your Ob appt.
Monnie, DJTTC, and Mako - hope all is great with your gorgeous bubbas. Happy Birthday for tomoz Monnie. Hope that mastitis is clearing up quickly Mako - ouchies!
Satya - what a horror drive home from NY's. Not one you'll be wanting to repeat in a big hurry. Best of luck for your amnio. Can't wait to hear what you're having. I think girl.
BTW - is there anyone who leaves it as a surprise any more? I feel like the only mum to be these days who wants a surprise on the day?? Feel free to vote in my poll too (Pearl or Paul?).
Lismith - how exciting you're feeling some movements. Hope you're feeling well.
KTgirl - how is that belly coming along? Hope you're MS free now.
Lenny - how are you finding the heat in Melb? Hope you've got some decent air-con. Unlike me.
Sorry if I've missed anyone. A big hello and belly rubs to any I have.
Wishing you all a wonderful 2008. How very exciting to know we're all going to be Mums this year. Yippee!
All going well with me. I've had a horror time with my bowels. One minute constipated, and next the opposite. Psyllium has become my best friend. I am pretty much MS-free, which is wonderful. 1st Ob appt last week, and my Ob is a cack! A real character. I hope that humour helps me through the labour. I've started buying a few bubba goods and clothes, which is certainly helping to make this pregnancy feel more real (something I've struggled with at times). I hope I'm not being too eager buying stuff so soon. I can't seem to help myself now.
Take care all!
Arielle

Ltl P & Sazz, thanks for the insight on the mucus plug, it actually has given me confidence that i'll know what it is if i see it (though will be passing on the smell test!)
Hope the wedding went well Sazz and that the ligament pain eases up - I know, its a lame attempt at a consolation but it at least means your body is doing what its meant to in preparing for a natural delivery right??
LisS, so glad to hear your fluttering bubbly feeling, it's only going to get stronger from here on in and i'm with Ltl P, though instead of thinking of the movements as an alien, my bubba was called a parasite for quite some weeks LOL.
Lenny & Marcellous, happy new years guys, glad to see you both back happy and healthy. How's the preparations going for you both in the nursery dept's...it's not that long now...
Well, today Sydney/the Mountains are having some relief from the week of warmer weather (i know, nothing like you Perthians or Melbournites have had!!) but the cool/wet change is nice for pregnancy. However, DH has just built me an awesome sun deck out in the yard under my fav tree canopy, you know, the decks that incorporate the trees trunk through part of them. It is just awesome, but of course, today's wet weather has prevented it from having a second coat of oil and me from sitting out there and admiring it!! Bummer.
Excitingly we have our 32 week scan on Monday morning too which i am sooooo keen to get to. Can't wait to see our fully formed bubba on the screen again. Am going to hopefully have the sex confirmed, DH has his heart set on the 19week scan 'girl' result and even though we always refer to her by our chosen name, gender doubts are always in the back of my mind. Anyway, can't wait, can't wait, cant' wait!!!
Hope the rest of the weekend is great for you all and that your little people are growing nicely
-
Hi all,
Sorry, not too many personals from me today, too tired and grumpy!
That sundeck sounds awesome Kimbe!
Wedding went well yesterday despite being 40C and an outside reception. I had had enough by 11pm, just not comfy sitting in a chair or on a picnic rug in a dress.... wanted to sloth it on the lounge in the aircon at home. Went to the "day after brunch" today and that was lovely, only 29C today. Got very sick of ppl telling me to have the baby yesterday, then today saying they were dissapointed I didnt deliver the goods. Grrrrrrrrr.
Due the day after tomorrow and still no signs appart from being very sore and heavy down there. Wonder if it will be a sudden thing or if it is still a week or more away?
Hope you all had a great weekend, will chat more when not so tired...
Sazz
-
Sazz, hope all is well with you :)
Kimbe, hope you have the flavour confirmed tomorrow to help put your mind at ease. Wow at 32 weeks! Not long to go now
arielle, will go and check out your poll in the next couple of days.
Big hello to everyone else that I missed. We had our OB appointment, and he is really nice. He had a quick read of my records from DD's birth and said that I will have to have another c-section :( He said that from my records it looks like they diagnosed CPD from after they opened me up, and that it wasn't something they just added in there to "explain" the c/s (if that makes any sense?)
He said it was such a shame that I went into labour, fully dilated and pushing then to end up having a c/s. He also said he normally lets women who had c/s, trial labour, but after reading my notes he said he didn't think it would be a good idea. I told him that was ok, I was kind of expecting to hear that anyway. He was rather apologetic about it too. Anyway, he gave us an idea of when bub will be born - June 30th, (EDD is July 7) so I'm pretty happy about that.
He is chasing up all our blood test from before we started on IVF, so hopefully I won't need to have much blood taken LOL! He gave us the referral for an u/s, no 3d ones round us though :( so we have that at week 18 and then go back to visit him again at week 20.
We have decided that even though we would like a surprise, we will find out if it's pink or blue. We haven't had any thing just to ourselves over the last 7 months, especially with my MIL trout mouthing all over the place! So have decided to find out and keep it to ourselves, just our little secret.
Catch up with you all later :)

Hi Mako, great to hear Sage is behaving, but poor little guy, getting a cold?.its such a rude awakening to life outside the womb.
Arielle, glad to hear you have a good OB, it really helps, I go through the midwifes at the hospital, and they are so great?.my OB was a little bit straight forward and insensitive so just stuck with the midwifes.
Kimbe, good luck with the scan, wow?.32 weeks?.you are not far behind me?I hope you get the confirmation you are after.
Sazz, I hope it will happen soon, I am so sick of the heat I can only imagine what you are going through.
Nic, I know its not the greatest news but at least you know what to expect?.you will not go through all the effort of labor to than be told you need a c/s.
Well, not much to report on other than that I am feeling heavy and sore down stairs, and just pray for another 2 weeks?.really do not what the little one to come now its just to early. 35 weeks this week so if it can wait another 2 week, will be considered full term.
The heat is nasty, having little sleep because of it?.I got to catch up on sleep last night as the it was cooler yesterday and same for today?
Well I hope everyone else is doing well, hope to read on your tracking throughout the week?..take care.

Happy Monday girlies
OMG how hot is it!!!! I know im in the tropics and everywhere is pretty much sweating at the moment but OMG i never thought I would pray for the wet season!!! If one more person says at least the baby wont be born in the summer I think I will scream. I already have an internal furnace going on and now all I want is to be naked and sitting in something cold :D
Sazz - dont fret bubs will be here soon enough
Panda/Kimbe - ladies I cant believe how close you are, im excited just at the prospect on entering the 3rd trimester, so I cant imagine how your doing.
Nic - sorry about the c/s but at least you know what to expect small consolation I guess and its great you have a good ob...I who have just started on my 5th doc am now going to put my faith in the midwives!!
Not much to report from me....bubs is getting active as I am typing she is having a game of ping pong. Doc yesterday put me a week ahead because of my size ooer, but got to hear the heartbeat again :p
Hope you are all good :bellyrubs: xx

Wow, time flies. LisS you're already 21 weeks! Seems like just a little while ago that you joined us.
You're only 35 weeks Ltl Panda - thought you were closer to due date. In that case, definitely hang on for a while baby!
Nic, it sounds like your OB is nice. I think it's good to know this sort of thing in advance - must be better to have a planned CS, if you have to have one. One of my cousin's was born June 30, and she's lovely so you're sure to have a good baby ;)
Hey Sazz, hope you're getting lots of rest. Sure it won't be too much longer.
The sundeck sounds really lovely Kimbe. Lucky you! Hope you get to enjoy it lots soon. And hope the scan went well this morning and you got your girl.
Hey Arielle - those bowel problems sound very familiar... sad to say. Good for you if you've found something that helps. Hope you're enjoying the shopping.
Glad your camping trip went well Mako. Poor little Sage - but I guess it was bound to happen some time.
Hope everyone's doing well.
Have done nothing for nursery... we'll just muddle along as per usual ;). suits us. Am starting to think about prams though. what to buy? Oh, my dad is making a change table for us, so that's something.
Enjoy the heat!
