Thanks tiggerlinda. Nice to feel some reassurance.

Well, I have good news ladies. I called the Arrivals Baby (Brisbane) clinic this morning fully expecting to be told that Dr Shane Higgins is already booked up, but I got in! He was my first choice, so I'm really excited. I was seeing him as a QFG patient back in 2007 before he had a horrible road accident, and was transferred to Dr Hynes (who I LOVE, BTW). So it's nice to come full circle.

Is anyone else going with the arrivals clinic? I quite like the group model idea, because they let you know right up front that your chosen dr might not be rostered on when bub decides to come out, and you fully encouraged to meet with all the obs so that if on the offchance your preferred dr isn't working on your day, you have built a r'ship with the others.

Better than getting a random stranger I reckon!

Hi everyone. Thought I'd pop in for a quick hello. Welcome to all the newly pregnant ladies. Best wishes for the next 8 or so months.

I've been reading often but don't have as much time to post as I'd like. It's good to read as everyone progresses through each new stage of their journey.

I'm still having bleeds and there's still more to come the ob tells me. I'm seeing him fortnightly to check on what's going on. So still on "light duties" as such and trying not to think about it. Babies are still growing well and strong heart beats.

    Take care everyone.

    Hi all my amazing friends,

I've been MIA again and apologize. Have had a terribly hard week and have just posted in my blog what is going on.

I had been reading every day and I'll be back here more regularly now.

Hope everyone is traveling well. Thinking of you all always.

    Hey Girls,

Quick question - has anyone else experiences tiny red spots appearing on face arms or chest? Maybe with tiny viens radiating from the spot? It's like a tiny bright red pin ***** (not raised) and I am getting them on my arms chest and face. I'm going to ask OB tomorrow, but was just wondering if I was the only one. I'm thinking they might be spider angiomas (the web is a wonderful thing).

Any-hoo. Hope all is well with everyone - It's been pretty quiet in here lately.

    M-wha and take care

Yay Neptune on your scan, I'm counting down until mine and can't wait.

Nicole S: Your poor puppy, I hope that you have a good vet and that your puppy gets better fast.

Everyone else: hope you have all had a good week so far.

AFM: Well I think things on the m/s side might be starting to kick in.... already.... Last night at work I started feeling really sick but instead on vomiting (which I just don't do) I had a bad case of diarreah (sorry if TMI). I went on for about 40 mins off and on and when I got home still was feeling really blah and I've got up this morning not being sick but feeling like I have a really bad hangover. I made myself have something to eat, but still not feeling any better so will be interesting to see how the day goes.

Has anyone else suffered from an upset tummy as well during the early weeks. I've read so many contradicting blogs about it being normal as everyone reacts differently to the hormones, or that it has nothing to do with being pg but must be something else. So I'm confused, but so long as I keep up my fluids and have no spotting I don't think it is too much to worry about.

yay on the scan Neptune - that first one is always so tense going in and so exciting when you see the heartbeat for the first time!

Kelly - i got MS from 3.5weeks, so the nausea kicked in, and is still here now - got really really bad at 6weeks til about 15 weeks (couldnt' function at all - at least now i can manage a little bit of life!). every pregnancy i've had, i've had the upset tummy the way you did first - nausea, but not being sick - just suffering heaps at the other end! i found taking elevit eased it a bit cos of the iron, but it was still there for a week or three - in fact it was one of the things that confirmed for me i was pg before i got a positive test... i know i'm not the only person to have gone through that either...

neptune - congrats - great result!

bel - my god, i have goosebumps all over. i'll be praying hard for you and your twins that they don't come any time soon. just stay rested and look after yourself the best you can. (and good on you for not just taking the "panadol" option and staying at home - I'm glad you had the strength of mind to know your body and get to hospital).

    xx

Nic- I've got the spots too. All over my upper right arm. The nurse told me that apparently when you are pregnant your blood vessels are more open or something like that. Looks kind of like a hickey!!

TL- Hope you are enjoying your home time..geez you must be getting excited now1

AFM- Am allowed to take the 5 steps to the toilet now..am scared to get out of bed now but excited to be making progress. Babies are having their own little party in my tummy!!

Just want to send some special love and thoughts to HM. Can't begin to even imagine your pain. Am so so sorry my friend xxx
