Hi all,
Hope everyone has had a good day.
Kaydee- Yep, I'm in hospital til these beautiful 2 arrive. Hopefully that will be another 13 weeks if they don't decide they want to meet us earlier!! Just wanted to let you know I had a big pocket of blood as well when I was having my big bleeds. The pocket slowly just got smaller and smaller until it eventually disappeared. There was no sign of it at our morphology scan at 18 weeks. Stay strong..you'll get there my friend.
Nicole- Congrats on hitting the 2nd tri..how very exciting. I'll be peeing my pants with excitement when I get there!
All my other lovlies...sending you a big hug and thinking of you all.
Hugs Bel

Thanks Bel. I'm really hoping there's no sign of the blood by our 18 week scan.. it's booked for 3 weeks time. It's such a relief when the ob doesn't look at you with a grim face! Thinking positive thoughts ;)
Gotta love hospital food... not. You'll be a pro at ordering something decent off their menu after being in there for 13 weeks! Thinking positive thoughts for you too ;)
Kaydee- I'm hoping also for you that the pocket has vanished at your 18 week scan. Keep thinking those positive thoughts. With regards to the food I'm getting to be a pro...
Here are some hospital food tips I have worked out so far..(well at my hospital anyway!!)
-You can get a vegetarian menu and order anything off that for lunch or dinner.
-You can ask for eggs for breakfast if you are a fan (pity I'm not!)
-If you want a milkshake for a treat you can ask write in on your order sheet
-If you just feel like a sandwich you can ask for one and specify what you want.
Ok I know, it's very sad that I know these things and that they excite me, but what's a
girl to do??!!!
xxxx
Kaydee, no not working. Haven't worked since November. Have been lucky enough to be able to stay home, get plenty of rest and enjoy being pregnant.
Bel, when you're in hospital for that long you have to find out all the inside info! lol Mmmm, milkshakes!
Midwife appt this afternoon. All good. Measuring 33 weeks, head definitely down which is the important thing. Next appt in 2 weeks which is the big appt discussing the birth and going through my birth plan. Saw a different midwife today who was very supportive of the kind of birth we are wanting, and very interested in calmbirth so I am seeing her again in 2 weeks.
Second antenatal class this week. Was a bit horrified last week and some of the things we were told. Not looking forward to the rest of the classes.
Hello. I am pregnant after nearly eight years. Doctors say i may face complications. so i like to know what is it that i can do to avoid complications?http://photosnag.com/img/3147/n09x0302vnsn/clear.gif
So happy to be joining this thread. I'm still in a daze, really I feel like I'm in a dream.
I've been feeling a little dizzy at work, very forgetful and a bit of a cry baby. If someone says anything cute, sad, happy, nasty I feel tears welling up. Is this forever.
The sick feeling is pretty much gone atm which is good althrough I'm sure it will return. I am soooooo sleepy. I fell asleep for 45mins on the bus this morning I just couldn't keep my eyes open.
Ladies, how long does the fog last? I haven't told work of course but I'm so afraid being a teacher I'm just going to drop my bundle and not know what I'm doing. I'm already writing on my hands in my diary and everywhere just to jog my memory.
Funny I know I'm pregnant but I'm stil nevous, the test next tuesday to confirm my HcG is rising, the scan on the 23rd to see the baby.
Then I start thinking longer term things like work when will I stop, who will stay home? DP and I have been discussing but not concrete, also the fun stuff like when to start buying stuff.
Ok I'm sounding like a nut case but I can't help it. :D
Welcome Lalitearns and Greenslw. Please send me your EDD when you are ready and I will add you to the ever expanding pregnancy list (helps us keep track of who is PALTTTC) you can find it on Page One of the thread.
Lalitearns - Not sure what complications you are asking about. Is it your GP or Ob or FS who is mentioning complications?
Greenslw - I didn't get much in the way of morning sickness, but the tiredness I can relate to and the list making I can relate to that too. It got much better for me around 15 - 16 weeks when I started to feel much more like my old self. In the early days I think it was as much lifestyle change as it was the hormones that threw me off my game. I really didn't feel like me. I still make lists - but it's for more long term planning than simply to get me thru the day.
:welcome: and :bellyrubs: to our new members so sorry girls I have been MIA from this thread for awhile.
I have been busy settling into Maternity Leave and Making up jewllery stock to send to the photographer so we can get it up and listed on the store.
DH is creating me my own store and domain too :) very excited about that option :cheer:
I do hope you are all well little Miss C has learnt how to morph body parts outside of mummy looks wierd but so cool. DH is going away till Monday so will be BB addicted for the next few days and you wont get rid of me
Welcome to the new girls!
Hello to everyone, I hope eveyone is traveling okay.
I am fine except for the extreme tiredness. I am considering taking the good ol Aussie sickie becasue I am really struggling at work. Not complaining though!
Other than that, i have somes tretching sensations on the side, sort of under my ribs. And a dating scan today, so that will be exciting!
Love to all
Welcome lalitearns and greenslw. Congratulations on your pregnancies! :D
TL, I can't believe the shapes Buddy can turn my belly into! lol It's so weird to watch isn't it? There are times I can't feel the movement, but can see it. Movements have definitely changed from feeling like kicks to more like rolls and stretches. I can't wait to see your new store. I'll be on the lookout for a breastfeeding bracelet. :)
Hi ladies how do I get the pregnancy ticker to attach to my signature, bit confusing.
Go to User Profile
Click on Edit Signature
Paste in the URL for your ticker
Then you can 'Preview' your signature and you should see your ticker come up there. If it looks good there then save the changes and your should see it appear when you post.
Greenslaw you can get a BB ticker from the main page and then copy and paste the URL in your signature PM me if you need more help
Hi ladies
Welcome lalitearns and greenslw - wishing you wonderful pregnancies
Bel - how's it going? Thinking of you lots.
BG & Megan - hope the m/s isn't treating you too badly and that you're feeling better
And hi to everyone else!
I have what might be a really obvious question, but I really don't know the answer...!
I had two embryos transferred, and I am well aware that this does not automatically mean a twin pregnancy. My question is, is there anything I would have noticed if one embie had failed to implant? Or if I've lost it? I haven't had any spotting or bleeding or anything like that. Or do they just vanish?
I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for my scan tomorrow :)
Jen most of the time they just vanish sweet in my case I did spot but that had nothing to do with the 2nd embie.
Hi Everyone
Just wanted to wlecome the newbies to our club. There are a few of us in here that are in the early stages so we will be with you guys most of the way.
Hope evryone else is going along nicely.
AFM: Well m/s is definately here, no vomiting (yay) but from about 9am til about 4pm I feel so horrible and smells turn my stomach. But after 4pm you would think nothing is wrong. The only way I seem to manage is by constantly eating, however everyday I get cravings for something and then the next day can't stand the thought of it. Yesterday I had to have potato cakes, so stopped on my way to work at the Take Away and when I ordered I was told that they didn't have any cooked. I must have looked absolutely shattered as the lady was then quick to say "but I'll cook some for you if you want"... Ah, yes I wanted them and felt better for a good 30 mins after eating them and then the nausea kicked in again and had to get more food. I've decided this one definately takes after it's daddy as when DH is hungry he has to have it now and it seems this one is like that already. Anyway 1 more day at work until a long weekend here in Victoria and then only 2 more days until the scan.
Hi ladies
Well, we had our scan, and we're expecting twins!! Seeing their little heartbeats fluttering away was just amazing. We are absolutely ecstatic.
Jenx
Congrats on your twins Jen! :D
Congrats Jen! Now it is just a matter of waiting to see if you are having both boy (or girls) and one of each. Yay!
KellyD - welcome to the MS world. I had very similar experiences and am very glad it is mostly behind... don't know why but in the last week I have been getting a few days of queasiness but nothing like the first trimester.
AFM, my girl is moving a lot more and I am feeling her each and every day. DH got so excited when one night he placed his hand on my belly and she started to jump about with excitement. Anyhow, we have bought a lot of baby stuff and there is more to come. Am going away for the long weekend. Still debating of how advance should I go before I take maternity leave as I don't want to stress myself out but also want to reserve most of my paid maternity leave after birth.
Take care everyone
Kahlan
Congrats Jen on Twins!! Great News
:bellyrubs: :bellyrubs: to all and have a great weekend!!
Congrat Jen on your two miracles.
I have my scan on Wednesday to see if we are having one or two after have two embryo's transferred. You are only 4 days ahead of me so we will have to share our experiences as we are so close in EDD.
AFM: Well girls did I speak to soon about the m/s, still no vomiting today but the nausea is so bad and I had some dizzy spells and diarreah (sorry if TMI) back with a vengence as well. I actaully had to leave work and come home as I am feeling so bad. I don't know how the girls that are actually sick cope and also try and keep it a secret, it is so hard when you have to rush to the loo every 10 minutes.
hi ladies
and welcome to all the new girls! im so excited for you all!
just a quick one from me, i got my zofran but am waiting to test it out when its necessary as its so expensive! But its my last hope so i pray it works as i have so much to do starting next week! i just want to wake up and be able to kiss my DF instead of the toilet bowl, so to speak!

I'm so sorry Greenslw, be kind to yourself
Hi girls,
I'm a bit in limbo land and not ready for the big league of this preg thread just yet. I got my BFP exactly 7 days ago and I've been in shock. I know it's so early (5 weeks) but I just had to let myself feel that first ever pregnant feeling. Leaving the house feeling pg is just bizarre. The ecstasy is wearing off and the panic is setting in so I have DH bringing back another test from town today and I'm booked for bloods later in the week to see if it's all still going on for me.
Greenslw, I'm really sorry to hear your sad news. I hope you can take small comfort that you got pg after your first FET so you will be back with a better chance next time. My pg was after my first FET too. Were you on all the pesseries and suppports? take care and give yourself the time you need to move through:hug:
Bel, I haven't read your blog (I haven't caught up with this thread really), but i can see that you are having a really rough time and I'm hoping you get to all those milestones safely and without further incident. I hope you've got that hospital menu sussed but what I want to know ...are there any cute male nurses who can smuggle you in pizza??
I hope i get to be a regular on this thread but just wanted to say hi for now.
:welcome: stay postive and your baby will feel it
Good morning girls,
Greenslw - very sorry to hear your news. Sending you hugs.
Murph - Welcome. Let me know when you are ready and I'll add you to the PALTTTC list.
AFM - Carpet is finally being installed in baby's room and our room today. Glass splashbacks are being installed and then the kitchen will be complete (it's only taken 3 months).
We should be able to build our cot and move the baby's drawers into the nursery this evening. The house is a bomb site at the moment with all the bedroom furniture in the lounge and dining rooms. I can't think in the mess. But once I can get the baby's things where they should be then the rest will follow.
The baby has been super active lately, but will then have a quiet day every now and then. Not sure if we sometimes get our routines out of synch or something.
We had our first baby class at the hospital on Saturday - the one where they tell you all about labour - ouch. But having done the calm birth class I felt I was more prepared and open to the information they had to share with us. It also aleviated a lot of my concerns about the post-birth processes and it also have me a bit of an insight into the attitude and open-mindedness of the hospital and the midwives. So, I'm really gald we went. Next one is Saturday and it is more about the parenting side of things.
Hope all is well with everyone. Ciao for now ladies and have a great day.
X
Greenslw - I'm so sorry. We are all thinking of you and sending you much love. As the other girls have said, be kind and gentle with yourself.
Murph01 - Welcome! I think we all understand the early panic. It's like you can't believe it's finally really happening, and you feel like you have to prepare yourself for another disappointment. Sending lots of :stickyvibesgirl:
AFM, all that concern about no m/s etc has gone. I am definitely getting it. urgh. disgusting :)
Still in shock about the twins too. Went looking at prams on the weekend (yes, too early, I know), but they are HUGE (I am not). I couldn't even lift the things off the ground. hmmm. This is going to be a problem.
Still losing weight too - about 200g per day. I am keeping an eye on it. My FS said not to worry too much - apparently babies are the perfect parasite - they take what they need, at your expense if necessary. I'm just trying to eat enough to keep the nausea at bay but it's hard.
Nic, well done on your first class..one day...how many to go?
Sounds very exciting finally getting the kitchen finished and starting on setting up bubs room.
Murph, I agree with TL, stay positive as I'm sure bubs feel's it.
Remember everyone was once in the same boat as you in the early stages of pregnancy and once you start reaching milestones you will feel more relaxed.
Jen, it's never too early to start window shopping ;) We are women after all and it is very exciting thinking of all the things you want to buy.
AFM, like Nic bubs seems to be active some days and quiet others.
It really hit me last night that we will have a little baby in 3 months time, I felt so warm and fuzzy on the inside and it's probably been the first time I have felt like this during pregnancy.
Have my glucose test this Wednesday...so yuck on that thought but on the upside seeing OB on Friday which means we get to see June Bug again....
Hope everyone is having a nice start to the week.
Thank you all for your kind words. I hope to see you in a forum soon with some good news to share. :) :goodluck: to all BFP's
Hey girls - I missed my 100 days to go, but remembered my 60 days. Wow - 60 days. It all seems so long ago.
Hope you are all going well today.

Hi girls,
thanks for welcoming me on board and for your wise comments. I hope it's me in your shoes giving advice to newbies one day. for now though I feel I have more in common with the girls in the trying to conceive thread. Is that common? Like a bit of a self-preservation strategy?
I had to go back to my clinic last week for more drugs and I nearly fell to pieces. I have a two hour drive to get there and you'd think I could have fallen apart in my own time and space, but no, instead it all crept up on me while I was in the waiting area at my clinic. I suppose every clinic has a brag wall with all the babies and thankyou cards. Well I was reading them and I could feel the tears and I couldn't stop them, I left the room and could only find a staff lunch room. It wasn't just a sniffle, I wanted to howl! I tried splashing my face and straightening up but it was my first sense of being totally overwhelmed by the journey and the other things that have been going on lately. I'd been pregnant for three days and hadn't cried or felt anything other than happiness and I should have expected that I was due to drop my bundle. Anyway, the nurses and receptionists were great about me crashing their lunchroom and crying on their tea towel!
I haven't had any bleeding, but it's 5 weeks and 2 days and I don't really feel anything. I don't want to wish m/s by any means but it would be great to have some way of knowing along the way. I'm having a blood test today to see if my levels are rising, so I hope I feel a bit more confident by tomorrow.
So it feels a bit like an AA meeting to confess my due date and I haven't felt ready to think about it yet but here goes.....I think it is November 6. Maybe you can help. My FET with a three day embryo (2 actually!)was Feb 18.
Cheers guys
Murph - don't stress - I still have days like that. Days where I'm actually crying on the bus and it is all I can do to keep that crying silent until I get in my front door and then it is bone-shaking, glass-shattering, cat-scaring howls of despair. Like a life time of sadness needs to come out thru my tears and my chest all in one go or I'll explode. Some times I feel better after, sometimes it takes a day or two to feel happy again.
You will get there. I think some of us have the blinkers on and push it all down into a tiny ball just to be able to get thru IVF and the TTC journey. I think maybe in a way it is our subconscious letting us know that we have made it and it is time to let go of all that fear, anxiety, stress that has built up over time. I never cried like that when I was going thru injections, TWW, etc - only after I got my BFP. There is now a whole new world of things to worry about - I won't lie - it took me ages to feel good about this pregnancy. I distanced myself and felt no real connection to the baby until around 16 - 20 weeks. I even still have days where I feel very disconnected. Those are the days I cry.
BUT....let yourself heal from your AC journey so that you can regain your strength for your pregnancy. Talk about it when you feel happy and good about the pregnancy, but don't be afraid to talk about the sadness not so good days too. They are equally important.
X
Oh Murph we all have days like that and hey I was stressing this morning beacuse she was slow to start moving. You are just entering the world of worry sweetie  Hope all goes well
:bellyrubs: to everyone so sorry I have not been very supportive have been busy with the jewellery getting it listed.
Charlotte is a wigglepot and 2 weeks and 6 days till we see her now
