Hi everyone - hoping I can join in here again - was in here for a very brief stint back in august but sadly miscarried. Well I finally got a BFP again on my second full stimulated IVF cycle and just came back from my scan - very pleased to have seen a beautiful :heartbeat: 154 bpm and measuring 7 weeks 4 days and in the right spot. I have been sooo anxious and nervous and had a scare on sunday with some brown discharge when I was convinced it was all over again so feeling very excited at the moment - cannot wipe smile off my face :D Now just hoping for a very boring 32 weeks. Look forward to getting to know all of you ladies - TL you were in here when I was last time - nice to see a familiar face - I cannot believe that you only have 6 weeks to go - very exciting
:grouphug:

Nicole, Megan, TL, LNB - thanks for your lovely thoughts.
Finally being able to tell friends and colleagues has reminded me just how exciting this all really is (and I can exit my state of constant panic and anxiety...at least for a little while ;))

TL, Megan and Janie, not long now hey? How exciting.
Welcome Neptune and Kelly. Hope you have a H&H 8 months ahead.
Hi everyone else.
AFM, travelling well. Had my 20 week scan and baby is perfectly healthy. Starting to feel kicks and movements but since I have frontal placenta the movements are rare and slight. Found out we are having a girl so that has been a big shock since I was so convinced I was having a boy.
Neptune, Kelly D and Babymiracles - when you feel ready - please PM me with your due dates so I can add you to our consilidated list of PALTTTC's. We found it was getting very difficult to keep track of who was on this thread, so we have a list on page 1.
To all the other lovelies - have a great weekend.

I might be having a bad case of baby brain, but has anyone heard how Devon got on? I'm sure I have seen posts from her, but did everything go ok with the birth etc?
Sorry if I have been skim reading and not taking everything in......
UPDATE: Just saw Devon's ticker and it looks like a baby boy on the 24th of Jan. Sorry again if you all knew this already.....
Nic :cheer: you are onto it today hun thanks for all the organising:clap:
1 week of work left for me :leap: and Baby Shower this weekend:p
My glucose levels came back normal. A tad low in iron. And my pesky thyroid has remained stable - woo-hoo. Celebrating with a Boost Berry Bang. Mmmmm...berries.....
Enjoy your baby shower tomorrow TL, I can't wait to have mine actually I am having two  and no June Bug and are are not greedy but the girls from work are throwing me one and so is my mum.
Nic, your too cute with your organisation. Hope you have a great weekend.
Kahlan, on finding out your having a girl and feeling the kicks!!. My placenta is also at the front and I do feel kicks but sometimes they are slow to start.
Everyone else hope you all have a great Weekend.
Hi ladies
I am new to this thread. I've been over in the 2WW and am now ecstatic to say that I am pregnant. It's so wonderful. But I kind of can't believe it either. I suppose that's normal. I've been in hospital for the last 12 or so days with OHSS, but am home now and feeling much more humanI'm due on Oct 20, so still a looong way off yet, but I don't think I've ever been happier. .
Congrats to you all, and I'm looking forward to sharing the journey.
xx
:welcome: Jen and congrats on your BFP :happyforyou:
Jen: :welcome: and congratulations on your BFP. Sorry to hear you had OHSS so badly - sounds awful
AFM: In definate need of some reassurance. Have any of you lovely ladies experienced lots of spotting through first trimester? I had a scare on sunday with brown and pink CM and thought it was all over but that stopped after about 12 hours and then got to see wonderful heartbeat on wednesday at scan. Then had a day and a half of being so much less anxious and very happy only to get some bleeding starting yesterday - one episode of dark red discharge when going to loo and am still getting small amount of brown CM now. I rang OB yesterday and he is soooo lovely he said come in straight away and he did a scan (baby still has beautiful heart beating) and I had to have anti-D injection as I am Rh-ve. Maybe I am just going to be one of those people that spots throughout but certainly finding it very worrying. I sooo want this beautiful baby
Sorry for lack of personals - will get better soon. But thanks so much everyone for your welcome and congratulations. Thanks possums - thinking of you always my friend
Nixon: my due date is october 2nd

jenc: congrats on your BFP.

hello to all the new ladies in here!
girls i need some help! this all day sickness is just getting unbearable, i havent gone into society for 5 weeks now and my DF is getting annoyed by all the washing piling up and having to eat take away, he would never admit it but i can tell. i just feel so bad i can barely get out of bed most days and am becoming really depressed, im making an appointment tomorrow to see GP to see if i can get some help, only thing is there is never a park nearby and will have to walk quite a bit and am scared of puking in public. ive tried the ginger, the maxalon, the vegemite, the vitamin b6! my head is also killing me from lack of energy i guess. sorry for the winge im just a bit disappointed and feel bad for those TTC i should be enjoying this and i havent since the day i got my BFP as i started spotting then now this!
21 - Try acupuncture. I live for it - not for MS (I didn't get sick) but headaches were gone by the end of the session. You might need to start out with a couple of sessions in quick succession, but I now go around once every 2 - 3 weeks or more often if I feel the need.
;) hello all you beautiful mummys to be i hope your all doing wonderfully, thinking of you all
Hi Ladies -
Welcome Jen and Babymiracles - congratulations on your BFP's!! Wishing you both a H&H pg.
Babymiracles - I had spotting on and off up to about 10 weeks and it was all fine. A number of ladies in here have had spotting /bleeding so their is a lot of experience here for you.
21 - hope your MS eases soon, I can't imagine how terrible you must feel. My OB keeps reminding me that MS is a sign of a healthy pg - I still have MS (without vomiting) at 21 weeks and have just gotten used to feeling nausea - I actually miss it if I have a day without it. Perhaps you could ask your GP is there anything you can take to help ease the severity?
Kahlan - great to hear you are doing well and Congratulations on a girl !!!
Sorry for no other personels but hope everyone is well and happy. Big :bellyrubs: to everyone.
Take care,
LNB
Hi Everyone
It is so exciting to read where everyone is at, good and bad (21). I have now hit 5 weeks and am only now starting to get symptoms, which is reassuring as without the BT I wouldn't even know that I was actually pg.
BB's only started to hurt on Friday, but not unbearable and I can still sleep on my stomach and nipples have been more sensitive... ah and the stomach bloating and back ache...
How long did it take for you all to start getting symptoms, I am also curious at to when any m/s started. I am so hoping I will be one of the lucky ones as being sick is just not something that I do.
Kelly D :cheer: hun good to see you Ms started around 7 weeks for me
21 - do try the AP it has all wonderful benfits and brewers yeast
Hi girls
Just popping in to say hi.
Welcome Kelly!
AFM: Feeling well. Have had some success with prunes and prune juice, so feeling much more comfortable. No m/s yet, so hope I"m one of the lucky ones, but I guess there is still time for it to start! Sore bb's, slight bloating and thickening around the waist, but nothing too noticeable. Did some laps in the pool, and just walked the dog, so feeling quite energetic when I am awake! Get tired in the evenings.
Got my first scan on Tuesday, so very excited about that.
21: Hope you feel better soon you poor thing.
Welcome Kelly D !
MS and other symptoms for me kicked in around 8 weeks, before that there was nothing really noticeable / different to feeling normal. I believe it takes a few weeks for all the hormones to start kicking in and being produced in the quantities that can trigger MS etc.
Take care,
LNB
Hi Ladies
To all of those just starting your journey, welcome! To TL and Janie not long now until you get to see your bundles of joy i cant wait to know what mine looks like!
21 i have to say i started vomitting around 8 weeks all day, everyday and im still going now at 28. Some days are better than others so i do what i can then and others are just awful. I have pretty much learnt to be sick anywhere coz i had a fear of it before but i have no control over it so i just keep going as normal but have to take the odd day off because i havent eaten for so many days im weak. On the plus side i havent gained any weight in fact up to 20 weeks i lost 8kg. All i can recommend is doing what you can when you can and im sure your hubby will understand ...mine goes to my mums for a cooked meal at least once a week.
AFM: Plodding on...3 weeks of nursing left (woohoo!). cant wait to meet my little man but i wish he wouldnt kick me so hard some days and would let mummy enjoy her food occassionally (im known at work as yack meister!!)
Love Bee
Hi girls,
Congrats Jen!
JBM hope you join just here very soon.
21 - I would recommend getting something for MS if it is that bad. You should get some relief. I feel for you. Mine MS whent at 12 weeks although I still feel like gagging when I brush my teeth.
Kelly - my MS and tiredness kicked in at 7 weeks.
Babymiracle - I had spotting and 1 case of red bleeding within my first 12 weeks but as you can see I am 21 weeks and having a wonderful time.
Belly rubs to those I have not mentioned.
Hi all,
Wow - so much is happening at the moment in here - how wonderful!
TL - have a great babyshower - really hope that you enjoy it:dance:
21 - I hope that your GP is able to provide you with some help to ease the MS - it sounds like you are going thru hell - and dont feel guilty about cursing being pg because of it - i know that there have been times when despite wanting this more than anything, I have hated being pg!
Kelly - welcome and congrats on your pg. Wishing you a wonderful pg. In terms of when MS started for me - I never really got it to the throwing up stage - just felt ill whenever I did not eat on a regular basis - and that started from about week 6 (I think) and is still going...
Neptune - good luck with the scan!
BM - congrats on the BFP and I hope that the spotting eases up soon - sounds like you have a wonderful OB who is going to take great care of you and your baby! Good luck.
AFM - not much to report. next OB appointment on Fri and cant wait to see Tex on the scan again. struggling to find energy at the moment and wishing that the 2nd trimester feelings of 'normality' would kick in as I'm really struggling to get everything done at the moment! apart from that i think everything is going ok...i guess friday will tell.
To everyone missed - wishing you all well.
FG
Hi everyone
Jen - welcome and congrats!
Nixon - nice results - well done :D
babymiracles - I also had what you're going through - persistant brown / pink discharge. I found it very scary, but my FS was very understanding and kept squeezing me in for scans to keep my mind at ease. Mine stopped at 10 weeks. Good luck
JBM - yay for your FET! good luck, my fingers will be crossed!!
TL - hope you had a lovely babyshower
21 - hope you feel better soon
Kelly - my symptoms didn't really start until 6 weeks (sore BBs, queasiness etc).
Neptune - good luck with your scan!
hiya LNB, Smithy, Bee, Kahlan, FG, Nicole :hello:
afm, strangely I feel as though the tiredness has only just started to set in! I think I got through the first 12 weeks in such a state of anxiety that I wasn't really tired...my body is making up for it now. It is a real relief to have told everyone at work so that if I need to rest they all know why!
A question, does / did anyone have low vitamin D during pregnancy??
Hope you all have great weeks
Mels x x
Hi All!
Welcome and congratulations to Jen (hope your OHSS is recovering) and KellyD! What wonderful news. Kelly I started getting MS at 6 weeks and 3 days (hit me like a tonne of bricks). My BB's didn't start feeling sore though until I was around 10 weeks.
Janet - looking forward to seeing you in this thread very shortly!
BM - there are lots of ladies in here that have had bleeding during their first trimester and are now well advanced in their pregnancy. I know if must be very scary, but hang in there. Bubs has a good strong HB, so the blood is more than likely old blood from implantation.
TL - Great to hear you had a good baby shower - getting very close to meeting Miss Charlotte!
21 - you should be able to get some stronger tablets for the MS from your OB/GP. I know it isn't nice to take anything, but it is better for you to feel on top of it. There are lots of medications for MS that are perfectly safe for baby. I wouldn't have survived without my Maxalon!
Hi Nicole, Nixon, Smithy (thanks for thinking of us), LNB, Neptune, Bee, Kahlan, FG and Mels - sorry to anyone I have missed.
AFM - Well only 5 weeks to go if this little one decides to be punctual (which I am sure they will!) Feeling really good, although yesterday and today I have started getting period like pains. Even woke up in the middle of the night with a tummy cramp - stayed awake for a while as I though maybe it was the onset of something. Luckily it wasn't - want this bubs in until at least 36 weeks (when they have their suckling reflex), but would prefer 38 weeks onwards so that I can finish up properly at work! Oh if only I could know when they are going to arrive - I guess that is one of the wonderful surprises ahead for me. Bubs is still really active, but there is not much room to move so it is quite uncomfortable for me. We had our antenatal class on Saturday and got our show bag (finally!). I so love free stuff! All went well and I am looking forward to the birth more than I am anxious about the unknown.
Hope you are all well.
Janie xxx
Hi all
Thanks for your lovely welcomes.
It's very nice to be home after being in hospital. OHSS is evil. Has anyone else had it? How long did it take you to feel back to 'normal' after you got home from hospital? I am so easily exhausted (although that could just be first trimester tiredness I suppose), and my stomach still hasn't gone back to its normal size. I'm still slightly short of breath, particularly up and down stairs, and still getting some pain in my abdomen.
I'm losing weight daily as well, which I'm a bit worried about. Not much - just 200g - 500g per day - but enough for me to be a bit concerned. You're supposed to put ON weight when pregnant aren't you?? I put on 9.5kg in 2 days with the OHSS, but I've lost about 11kg since.
As for being pregnant, I still can't quite believe it's real. Aside from the ridiculous tiredness, everything else is the same. No m/s, bbs aren't sore, no nausea, no weird smells or tastes or craivngs.
I have my a scan next Friday to find out if it's one bub or twins - so I'm sure once I see the little heart/s beating, it will become much more real to me.
Hope you're all travelling along well, and feeling happy and healthy.
xx
Janie - I hear you on the moment and no room Charlotte went up under my rib cage after the midwife anyoed her at the visit this morning  is moving but no coming down
Jen - After OHSS it is common to lose some weight hun try not to worry
Thanks tiggerlinda. Nice to feel some reassurance.
Well, I have good news ladies. I called the Arrivals Baby (Brisbane) clinic this morning fully expecting to be told that Dr Shane Higgins is already booked up, but I got in! He was my first choice, so I'm really excited. I was seeing him as a QFG patient back in 2007 before he had a horrible road accident, and was transferred to Dr Hynes (who I LOVE, BTW). So it's nice to come full circle.
Is anyone else going with the arrivals clinic? I quite like the group model idea, because they let you know right up front that your chosen dr might not be rostered on when bub decides to come out, and you fully encouraged to meet with all the obs so that if on the offchance your preferred dr isn't working on your day, you have built a r'ship with the others.
Better than getting a random stranger I reckon!
Hi everyone. Thought I'd pop in for a quick hello. Welcome to all the newly pregnant ladies. Best wishes for the next 8 or so months.
I've been reading often but don't have as much time to post as I'd like. It's good to read as everyone progresses through each new stage of their journey.
I'm still having bleeds and there's still more to come the ob tells me. I'm seeing him fortnightly to check on what's going on. So still on "light duties" as such and trying not to think about it. Babies are still growing well and strong heart beats.
Take care everyone.
