Congrats to Sazz. I hope all is going well with you all.
Sazz...what wonderful news...little Celeste!
So thrilled for you...such wonderful news...I'll have to go and read your BA now!!!
Sazz is a mummy....Sazz is a mummy....Sazz is a mummy!!!
Big Congratulations to Sazz, welcome Celeste and wishing mother and baby all the best.
Well ladies it has been a while since I was last on but I have been busy with the birth of my niece.
My sisters waters broke on Sunday morning and contractions only started on Tuesday morning at 2:30 am....It took another 24 hours before Isabella was borne at 2:07am Wed. Mum and I assisted throughout the whole 24 hours, it was an amazing experience, I saw my niece get delivered, saw the whole thing....My brother in law could not handle all the blood and screaming so he stood back, it was great being her support person. She went through the whole ordeal with just gas.
Well, got to do some catching up reading, but I am doing well, just cannot wait to give birth now, its made me more motivated.
Talk soon girls
Sazz, congrats on your little girl :) Will go check out your birth announcement.
Ltl Panda, congrats to your sister too!
Not a lot happening here. Keep getting little flutters and some definate kicks, bub does not like me lying on my right side though. We got the ruler out to show DD how big the baby will be next week and gave her a packet of microwave popcorn to give her an idea of how much the baby weighs. She thought it was fantastic!
Nic
Ltl Panda Well done on being your sisters support person. I bet it was an amazing experience for you. Congrats to your sister on the arrival of Isabella.
When is your baby due? I'm sure it isn't too far away ;)
Nic What a great way to show your dd how big bub is. Is she excited about becomming a big sister?
I also wasn't able to lay on my right side when I was pregnant. I think it has something to do with the sciatic nerve or something.
Not too much going on here. Dh was playing his xbox online this arv and he put his headphones on Sage and he gave us the biggest smiles ever. He's such a cutie and he's also started to giggle. He's just growing so much each day and is doing little things like hitting his toys that are attatched to his rocker and reaching for things. I was feeding him last night and he reached up to explore my face and neck. He did this during the whole feed which was lovely. Its a wonderful thing to see how much our little treasures grow and develop with each passing day.
Hope you are all well.
Take Care
Sazz - finally congratulations on your little princess!
I wish you both a speedy recovery & can't wait to hear all about her.
Nic - what a special way to include your DD on your little bubby, I bet she is so excited.
Mako - Sage sounds just so cute & giggling how wonderful.
Jenna has hinted at it but we are still waiting, she is smiling all the time though which is great because then you know they are happy.
Ltl Panda - wow what an experience for you to be at your sisters birth especially with being pg yourself.
You must be close to her & how lovely it will be to have bubs close in age.
How long have you got to go now.
Jo - 28 (treated endo)
Dh - 34
Yeah, DD is excited about being big sister, but wasn't too impressed when we first told her. When she told her best friend at school she said to DD that she was so excited for her because it meant she would be alone anymore..aww. She knows her way around the "up the duff" book, so checks it out everyweek to see the size of bub.
Mako, that is so cute about Sage and the headphones.
Nic
Well done Sazz, congrats on Celeste, 12.01am arrival, obviously she wanted to be the first baby born on the 19th huh!
Ltl P - glad to hear things are going well for you, count down is on now. How good was being your sisters support person, it's like you've had a run through just without the pain (but no doubt the need for lots of energy and encouragement). Another little girl too, sounds lovely.
Nic, so glad the kicks are coming through more clearly now. Has DH & DD felt them too?? Love the popcorn idea, it makes the prospect so much more exciting for little ones when they can visualise things like that.
Marcellus the purchases sound good, and yep the planning was a fantastic feeling, it has just taken us time to get there (i never thought we'd actually sit down and do it either!)
Had midwife visit today and she stressed that "you first timers can sometimes leave packing too late, so that's your one thing to achieve by the weekend, a packed bag for labour and hospital!!" It was a midwife we'd not seen before and she was just lovely, i laughed and agreed it would be done. Actually I had started packing but mostly bubby things and basic bed clothes and pads for me! This arvo though DH gave me a huge shirt that he has never worn before due to it's size and that now the labour shirt, so we're getting there.
Hi to everyone else, hope all's well.
Hey guys
Just wanted to let you know that I probably won't be around much...
Just started back at work today...it's only part-time but I'm finding it increasingly hard to fit everything in...and BB is so much fun that I keep neglecting all my other stuff (not Felix...just mundane things like housework and business stuff!)
I'll be keeping an eye out for BA's from you all...so excited for you!
Can't wait to you all have your little ones in your arms...it's just the most wonderful thing in the world!
I'll be back every now and then...but just wanted to say how much I have loved sharing your journeys with you...and thankyou so much for being part of my journey...it has been an honour!!!
Take care all...
Monnie xo
Monnie, Hope all is going well with your first week back at work. It's pretty scary to go from full time mummy to full time mummy and part time employee. I remember spending a lot of time at work wondering if DD was alright.
Kimbe, DH has felt a couple of movements, but not DD yet. Thought I would wait a bit longer until they can be most definately felt by her, otherwise she will probably want to walk around with her hand on my belly 24/7 lol.
I had a little giggle at the midwife saying first timers leave the bag packing until too late. I did that too. Got sent by my GP to the hospital (200klms away) 2 weeks before DD's due date as they thought I was showing signs of PE and I had absolutely nothing packed for either me or DD! Ran around like an idiot trying to get enough stuff together.
Nic
Kimbe Good on you for starting to get your bags ready. I had most things packed but went into a bit of a panic when the dr told me at 36 and a half weeks that I needed to go from her rooms striaght to delivery suite and I wasn't allowed to go home at that stage. My bag was only really half packed and it was at home and not in the car where it should have been along with my medical chart(whoops) Anyway I was allowed to go home for the night and madly rushed around packing and repacking my things lol.
Monnie How was your 1st day back at work? I'm in the same boat as you as I am going back next Wednesday. I'll only be working Wed,Thurs and Friday mornings so hopefully it won't be too bad. At this stage I'm not really looking forward to it but I'm sure I'll be ok once I'm there.
Jo Bubbies are so cute when they smile hey? I be Jenna is keeping you on your toes too ;) How is her sleeping going? Sage is a bit all over the place. Like last night he went to bed at 8pm and he woke at 11.30pm. He went back to bed after a feed and nappy change and woke at 2 again at 3.30 and 5am and then at 6.45. He had a feed and nappy change at each of these times. I felt like I was up ALL night  Thank goodness this doesn't happen quite as often these days. He usually wakes around 2ish and then around 6ish.
Hi to Marcellus, Ktgirl, Lttl Panda,Nic,Lismith,Lenny, Traceylee, Satya and anyone I've missed.
Monnie - what a bugger you wont be around much, I so look forward to hearing about your little Felix.
I hope being back at work isn't too stressful for you, I bet you miss bubby.
Dh told me before we had Jenna that I would go back to work at around 6 months but now that she's here he doesn't want me to go back so hopefully we can afford for me not to.
We are managing on the one wage for now so fingers crossed.
Mako - you poor thing being up all night, could Sage be starting to teeth?
Jenna is starting to show signs of teething which I thought at first was impossible but I can see the start of the teeth at the bottom & the last few days I can actually feel the start of them.
She has been chewing on her dummy & drooling heaps as well so we could soon be in for a few restless nights.
The last week and half Jenna has been going to bed around 8.45 - 9.00 & waking at 1.30 - 2.00 & that is fantastic in itself but then she's been going back to bed straight after feed & then sleeping at least another 2.5 - 3 hours.
The bottle is magic, although I am still glad that I b/feed for the first 9 weeks.
Kimbe - glad your getting organised, sometimes these bubbies just don't wanna wait.
Jo - 28 (treated endo)
Dh - 34
Jo Sage usually has a similar sleeping pattern to Jenna. Its just the odd night that he's more unsettled. I think Sage may also be teething but its a little difficult to tell as he was born with little white "stumps" in his top and bottom gums.
I had Sage weighed today (he's 13 weeks today) and he is 4.23kg. He's still wearing size 0000 clothes too lol.Dh keeps telling me that Sage needs a hair cut lol. His hair is quite long at the back ie longer than the collar of his clothes and is spikey on the top and sides. It would be a good 2 inches long on the top lol. Just way too cute :p
Lucky you not having to go back to work. Dh is applying for a new job so hopefully he'll get it and I won't "have" to work.I'll probably still work 1 or 2 days just to give both Sage and I a little space iykwim.
Oh yeh you did a great job bfing. Sage has a bottle of formula occasionally. Will be more frequent when I'm working as I don't know if I'll be able to express enough each day.I'm ok with him having it but I'm still enjoying bf even with the little probs along the way.
Take Care
Mako and Sage
Thanks for pointing the Sazz's BA out to us BG..., i'm useless and would never have found it!
Yay Sazz - I'm super happy for you guys!
Ltl Panda - you're next, and it's so cool to hear that you are really looking forward to it - i hope i will be too when i'm that close.
Have GTT this week and then I get to have another scan next week which i am really really looking forward to. It's been such along time since the 18 week scan.
I guess you'll all understand when i say that i'm tired and although i read BB a lot...I seem to post a bit less. Hopefully I can get a bit of energy back soon
Hope everyone is well and happy.
Jo :hello:
Hey guys
First day back at work was okay...in between my groups that I run I was frantically expressing milk and hoping that the adolescent boys I was due to see next didn't come early!!!
Felix has just finished (fingers crossed!) a really hard stage. For 4 weeks there, he was waking every 2-3 hours...teething!!! And I think he got a bit sick too! We had him on Nurofen and was only told early this week to get him off it! Apparently, although you can get Nurofen for babies, it's not particularly good for their tummies...no wonder he kept waking with tummy aches (only relieved by giant size farts!!!)
Can you believe he's now 5 months??? We start solids next month...UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Anyway...he's doing much better now.
Ltl. Panda...you're next girl!!! HOW EXCITING!!! How long is it exactly?
Nic...love you you explained your little one's weight to your DD...priceless!
Lenny...all the best with the scan...you are not going to believe how much your little one has grown!!! So awesome!
DJTTC...that's great news about not going back to work! Yay for you!!! Aren't the smiles just gorgeous! Now that Felix is feeling better, he's back to his old smiley self again...which is just lovely!
Mako...Sage teething already! Wow!!! Hope it settles really quickly! Just to let you know...we found SM33 far more effective than Bonjella!
Kimbe...well done on getting your bag packed! It's getting really close, hey? I loved seeing that bag next to my bed every night...it's a real reminder that this is really going to happen!
To KTgirl, Satya, Marcellus, Lismith,Traceylee...hope all is going
well!
Marcellus...how are you finding Dr Thyer? I so hope you're happy with him!
Hi Girls,
Sazz; Yippppppeeeeee xoxo Congrats on becoming parents to a beautiful little girl, Celeste. So excited for you. Hope you are all well and enjoying every minute. Big hugs. (Thanks BG for posting the msg).
Mumof5; Wonderful to hear from you. Congrats on your pregnancy - 25 weeks. Wow, Im so excited for you guys! You must have happened just before me, Im 19 weeks. Hope everything is going smoothly for you.
Monnie; glad to hear that your first day back at work was ok. I hope that you manage ok and that its an easy adjustment for you. Happy to hear Felix is feeling better now. Make sure you pop in now and again to keep us updated. You are a wealth of info. Try to make time for yourself now you are back at work. Take Care.
DJTTC; that's great DH doesnt want you to go back to work right away. I guess there are sacrifices to make but at the end of the day, its totally worth it. Enjoy your time with Jenna however long it it.
Me; had my 19 week ultrasound on Monday and everything went well. All good signs and everything in normal range (deep breathe and sigh). So relieved. Still have to wait for the report but all looks great. They said he was very, very active and I said that I had hardly felt anything at all (which had concern me). They said they were not surprised as the placenta is on the front wall, right behind my belly button and "my son" (hehehe, love those words) is behind it. He made a fist and rubbed his eye awwww..... he must have been tired. He also sucked his thumb and he was rolling around dancing and boxing. We got a dvd and plenty of photos so I spent yesterday doing the rounds to family showing off my sons profile, hands and gorgeous little feet. I am so in love with him.
Big Hi to all and hope you are all going well.
Tracey Lee
Monnie - wow 5 months. It IS hard to believe! Sounds like things are going well for you all now.
TL - Scans are great aren't they. I had an active bub at 18 weeks and hardly felt a thing either...but then once it starts...hehehe, they never stop!! So pleased things are progressing nicely for you guys - and you have some embarrassing footage to bring out at your son's 21st!
Hopefully bugsy is not so shy next wednesday and i get to see proof of his gender...until then, there is still a bit of doubt in our minds. All purchases so far have been non gender specific!
Big congrats to Sazz! Hope you're back online before too long to tell us all about Celeste.
Sorry that you won't be around so much Monnie. I have a feeling that you'll still pop in every once in a while - admit it, you can't stay away. We're quite happy with Thyer. Went through our birth plan with him last visit, which he said was all fine "nothing too outlandish" - not sure what he might have seen in the past. Also heard Jelly's heartbeat... just. Took a few attempts to get it through the stethoscope.
Congrats on your new neice Ltl Panda! What an awesome experience for you.
Good luck for going back to work Mako.
Tracey - those dvds are pics are lovely, aren't they? we watched ours as soon as we got home, and then again. I think everyone in the family has seen it now ;). ANd just wait, in a few weeks he'll be beating you up on the inside!
Gosh, teeth already! hope little sage, felix, jenna and celeste are all doing well (and their mummies too of course).
Hope you get your groove back soon Lenny
Catch you all later
