Hi Mako, what a wonderful news! A little boy, you must be so excited! Have you set up the nursery yet?

Loula, thanks for the information, I wish you are in Sydney and I will be at your door at once without hesitation. Questions to ask? Ah, really have no idea what to ask... DH & I are suddenly realized apart from the strong desire to become a parents (good ones too ) we really don't know much about the whole things...lucky we have 8 months to catch up...

At the moment, just 1 day at the time till our 1st scan 10th July, soooooo far away, its not fair.

Hope everyone else is doing fine today....

Huge congratulations Mako - how exciting to know you're having a boy. Now you can really hit the shops!! Fantastic news too that he's healthy. I'm very happy for you. I can't wait till my 19 week scan - 2 weeks from yesterday!! We won't be finding out sex though.

Hi to everyone else, everyone sounds happy - I hope everyone's bellies are growing nicely.

BG - it would be great to hear of another BFP!! Wishing you lots of luck!!!!

Not much to report from me... M/S seems to have gone (yay!!!) and I'm just tired, which isn't too bad. Still waiting for my tummy to pop - I'm still hardly showing, although yesterday & today I can see that I'm starting to get a little bit bigger. Not bothered though - I figure there's heaps of time to be big!

Sorry, I can't remember what I read from the last post now.... big hello to everyone, I hope your Tuesday is going well.

BeiBei, we're a bit the same... We've been working on this pregnancy thing for 19 months - but have barely given a thought to what comes next - now I'm in a bit of a panic trying to figure it all out.

It's great seeing DH start to get all excited about things... despite still being very early on, he's telling more people than me! His old manager called the other day and got told, two days later and he's getting congratulatory text messages from his old workplace!

I'm already finding some of my tighter clothes aren't so comfortable any more... my favourite pair of jeans are already on the "can't wear" list - at barely 6 weeks!

6 weeks, I am so excited for you! Half excited for me too, 'cause we will always be that 1 day apart buddies...(don't know why my ticker is showing 5wk and 4 days)

We haven't told anyone yet! This is killing me though...one of my close girlfriend was checking on me and I have to bite my lips not to tell her...DH and I agreed we won't tell until 7 week scan...oh but we are not the only two people know though....my FS, nurse(s), the guy at the chemist (when we bought the multi-Vitamins), the receptionists for my OB and at NS hospital...they all know..I feel better now...

Oh, on the tight clothes side, I don't know its because I am bloated or it is really my tummy growing, but yes, I am a bit reluctant to get into my tight jeans now...I am paronoid about hurting the baby....

    Sammi,
All the best with your scan hun. Its amazing how much you can see at that stage. I was and am still suprised at how much the baby looks like a real person lol. Dh and I decided to find out on Sunday what we are having as we were driving to Sydney as I was a mess with stress and all of what could have been wrong with our precious little boy with all the health concerns. I'm so releived that all is ok though and I certainly don't regret finding out iykwim. It has kind of broken up the pregnancy excitement eg finding out your pregnant, finding out the sex of bub and then finally meeting bub when they are born. If we didn't have the health concerns I don't think we would have found out either.

Hi to everyone else. I can't seem to go back to the old thread for some reason so I don't know what else has been happening. I have to say that I'm sick of people coming up to me and saying how tiny my belly is. This has happened 3 times since saturday and I really don't know these people very well so I think they should keep their comments to themselves. Has anyone else had the same thing happen and how did you respond?

    Hello everyone

I agree, comments like that Moko should be reserved for their family or best friend. Its a personal comment and unless you know the person well, they should not be making these claims.
Had my B/T #3 today and all is good so far, hormenes are rising nice and high. 7 week scan next week and than we are semi free for a while with the testing, well I hope.

Yay Monnie!!! How exciting - finishing work. It is getting very close now!! Enjoy your time now - I'm sure you will

Mako, thanks for the well wishes, it's almost only a week to go!! I just can't wait to see it. I'm only just starting to pop out so it will make it all the more real for me. I'm kinda jealous that you know what you're having - I'll be dying to know! You never know, we might see accidentally?! I guess sometimes it must be really obvious?? I can't believe people are telling you how big you are. That's pretty rude I think, when they don't know you that well. Well, no-one could possibly say that to me yet because I hardly look pregnant. I'm just starting to show, but I certainly could still pass as just having a bit of extra weight on me! It will come soon enough I'm sure!

BeiBei, Ltl Panda & BW - Congrats on 6 weeks, you'll see the little heartbeat soon - how exciting!! I know what you mean about not thinking past getting pregnant - I'm still struggling to think that we're actually going to have a baby at the end of the year! It's crazy. When you spend so much time getting to that point it takes you a while to accept that you're actually there and move into the next phase! It's all so exciting though, isn't it?!

Hope everyone has a great day - almost Friday!!!

Monnie, you've made it! No work anymore...how exciting! Enjoy the time of mum-to-be and not for long though, 6 weeks to go and you will be a mum, YAY!

Mako, sorry to hear what you experienced, mabye they didn't mean to be insensitive and just trying to show some care...from my own experience, only being newly pregnant and had little knowledge of it, I always find a bit lost for words when I see someone pregnant and don't know what is approperiate to comment it on...but I do agree if they don't know you that well, they'd better just say "you are looking great, just glowing..."

Apart from still trying to get over the fact that 'Im pregnant", i am kind of having a panic, worried and anxious day all in one here ...I have posted in the other thread, the lack of symptoms start to worrying me, and I called the nurse today to ask for a blood test tomorrow to see how my level is doing...I don't think I can hang on till 10th July, that's just eternity...

thanks Sammi for remembering BW and I are 6 wks, almost for me. That's another reason I worried. Apart from that I can't have tooth-brush in my month for too long (similar to you BW), I don't have m/s yet...maybe I am just incrediably lucky!

BeiBei, I'm sure it's going to be all okay. Just remember that often women don't even know they are pregnant at 6 weeks. It's all the extra stress of IVF pregnancies and knowing right from the very first minute that you are pregnant. My sister didn't even begin to suspect she was pregnant until she was 8 weeks... and yet, with my symptoms, I really would have known (or at least strongly suspected! My HPTs were ridiculously pale!) from very early on. It certainly won't hurt to have a blood test to set your mind at rest. Enjoy being one of the lucky ones that has few symptoms. I wish!

Monnie, must be great to be off work. Got to admit that I'm kicking back in my pjs this morning intending to do some serious relaxing. School holidays have officially started for me - two weeks and two days and I'll be back into the thick of it with a very, very long term.

Sammi, good luck with the scan. I take it you and DH have decided not to find out the sex? DH and I haven't really talked about that yet - that point is so far away for us, though.

mako, I suspect the belly size comments are just people saying something for the sake of saying something, and not being able to think of anything remotely useful... I know I've been guilty in the past of saying similar things to friends. In particular I remember one friend who was really small the whole way through, then I saw her in the last month before her bub was due, and without really meaning anything at all by it, the very first thing that popped out of my mouth (even before hello) was "oh my goodness! you're HUGE!". I don't have any suggestions of how to react, but I'm sure the comments aren't meant to be hurtful in any way.

DH is really getting excited about things now. Whenever we curl up in bed he's just as likely to put a hand on my belly as on my boobs now (perhaps because I keep grumbling at him about the pain ), and even though it's so very early he's practically telling everyone! It is just so sweet - he's going to make an amazing dad!

    Hey guys

Thanks for the well wishes...very much enjoying my first hours of maternity leave!

Mako...I had a few comments about my belly early on...people saying "look at you...your belly is huge!!!!" I was really sensitive to it, thinking "oh my goodness...what are they going to say in 3 months time!"...but what I found was that it hasn't been too much of an issue...

I hope it's the same for you!

BW and BeiBei...congratulations on the 6 week mark...very exciting! BB, like BW said, lots of people don't even realise they are pregnant until that time...so try not to worry too much about feeling symptoms (easy said than done...I know!) I was the same, didn't have too many symptoms until about 8-9 weeks...my way of getting through this was just saying to myself "every day is a bonus"...and it sort-of helped!

Mako...congratulations again...so excited for you about your little boy...wonderful!

Sammi...can't wait til you have your scan...so exciting! We haven't found out the sex...I have no inclination/sense what we are having...maybe a girl...but the only reason I think that is that we can't find a girl's name...so Murphy's Law, I'm thinking!

Ltl Panda...all the best in your 7 week scan...seeing the little heart beat is surreal!

We're heading off for a 'babymoon' tomorrow...so I won't be online for about a week...7 days downsouth, amongst the Karri Forrests...can't wait! Just a pity I won't be able to indulge my normal (and most favourite) 'bad' habit of enjoying the wineries!!!

I'll miss hearing all the news...but I'm sure you guys are all going to be doing wonderfully!

    Take care all!

People huh? They want to say something but have no idea what to say!!!
    Talk later lovelies!!!
