Ok, will attempt to do some personals here..
Arielle, congrats to your friends on their baby boy! Wow 9 years! I think it's beautiful that you were blubbering when you first held him. Just imagine what it'll be like when you hold your own little one soon :) Hope all is well with you.
Marcellus - I just noticed you're past your EDD! Sounds like you have the nesting thing happening too, hope it's a good sign and that Jelly's arrival is close.
Lenny, so glad to hear that your little man is growing as he should. Sending you heaps of labour vibes before inducement on Wednesday. So looking forward to seeing your BA and reading your birth story :)
Lis - hope you can sort out your car seat saga! We haven't tried to fit the seat from DD into the car properly. We have to try it out in the middle seat, otherwise we are going to be going shopping for a new one, which I don't want to do!
I have been having some BH's, I forgot what they were like. Last night I had a horrible pain down one side of my body, and it was painful to even move (i thought I had stretched out too far in bed) We have another 2 weeks before our next OB appointment and hopefully I can book in for our glucose test on Friday this week, just need to call the closest collection centre 75klms away. Will be a nice day out for DH and I.
We managed to get all the timber we needed on our trip last week. We did 2 trips to bunnings, first one for timber and other stuff including tarps because it started raining when we were timber shopping LOL! We spent a total of 3 hours walking around that place on our first visit. I told DH that the paint and other stuff we were getting would have to wait, so we loaded up the trailer, without the help of the bunnings staff, but with the help of a total stranger. Then went back to my mums for a bit, had a coffee and then back to bunnings for another hour to get paint and supplies and other bits and pieces. DH managed to get a little bit more done on the cupboard, and at the end of this week on his RDO's he will do a little bit more, and hopefully he'll be able to prime it all and start slapping some actual colour on the walls soon.
Heartburn is still playing havoc with me. Went and bought some Mylanta i think it was? the other day, and have been feeling better, but am a bit wary of using it too much, so am using it once every second day.
Anyway, that's enough babble from me.
Ooh, one question... does anyone have their b/t etc done at sullivan nicolaides and can tell me roughly how much for the glucose test?

Hi girls
You all sound so great...and so close to having your bubs!
I've been regularly popping in and reading updates but haven't posted for some time. Jenna is 3 weeks now and going so well, she's growing and changing every day, i'm loving the whole experience despite realising i really had no idea what it was all about or how much energy it would take!
Well Wednesday looks like a big day of many over the coming weeks in here, i wish you all a wonderful birthing experience...my favourite moment of it all (other than holding Jenna for the first time) was looking down and seeing her little round puffy face which had just popped into the world seemingly stuck, i can still feel the muscles in my own face change when i recall seeing her. So if you are able to during the birth, look down! It's a miracle of miracles.
All the best!

Hi ladies!
Just got back from our weekend away in Bright. Was sure there'd be atleast one BA to read when I got back, but no?? Jelly and Buggsy are just too super cosy in their cocoons, it would appear. No doubt you're trying all the tricks in the book Lenny and Marcellus to help things along.
I'm sure it won't be long now girls. GOOD LUCK!!
Happy EDD too, Lenny (where are you having bubs BTW?)
Lismith - how are you travelling? Are you sleeping ok these days? Good luck with the car seat. I haven't sorted ours yet either.
KTGirl - hope you're feeling well. How far along are you now? Hope you're getting time enough to prepare for itchy and scratchies arrivals amongst all your busy-ness.
Nic - you getting BH's already? Wow!! I don't think I am yet, or atleast I can't tell yet that I am, if I am. When is normal for them to start I wonder?
Sounds like you and DH did v.well with your trip to Bunnings. What a huge day for you. Pity there wasn't a little more help from the Bunnings staff after such a decent purchase. Bless that stranger. What a gem!!
Bugger about the heartburn. Have you reduced or cut out really acidic foods and drinks. I'm finding I can't drink OJ any more. Milk has been doing wonders, however. We went out for dinner with our friends whilst away, and everyone ordered fancy wines with their meals. Not me. A glass of milk! LOL!!!
Kimbe - thanks for the tip. I will be sure to look down. What an incredible memory, especially recalling how the muscles in your face changed when you saw your precious miracle for the 1st time. I've got goosebumps just thinking about it. So glad all is going well with Jenna.
All going well with me. Feeling super chilled after a nice Easter away with friends. Bought some gorgeous brightly coloured felt toys and decorations from the Easter market we visited whlst away, so am happy to say, we now have our nursery decorations sorted! Phew! We were chopping and changing our minds like nothing else over the last couple of months, aout how to decorate, until we saw that stall, and went, "that's it! That's perfect." The goods are also made in Nepal, and their sale supports under-previleged communities there, so it gives us extra warm fuzzy feelings knowing this, which we hope will create an even nicer feel in bubs room. Once we have decorated, I will try to post some pics.
Well, enough from me. Hope you all had a lovely relaxing Easter, and ate plenty of yummy choccies!
Big belly rubs to all.
Can't wait to hear some exciting news V.V.V.soon!! xo
-
Arielle, I think some people don't get BH's? Yeah, am trying to cut out spicy foods and drinks, thanks for the reminder about the milk, will try that too. I had a giggle at you having your drink of milk while everyone else had their fancy wines. I'm so missing a nice glass of brown brothers dolcetto and syrrah sp? I'm not really into reds, but love that one.
How great that you managed to get your nursery decorations! It's so exciting isn't it? I'm finding I'm getting excited about doing just the one wall in DS's room.
I called and booked in for my glucose test on Friday. The woman asked how many weeks I was and then started to tell me I couldn't have it done until I was between 26 and 28 weeks. Told her that since I had to travel to them, and I had to see my OB at the start of 27 weeks, who also wanted the test done before my next visit, that this friday was the only day I could get there. So she ummed and ahhed and I said, "I'll be like 2 days off being 26 weeks" So she booked me in thankgod.
Sometimes it sucks trying to fit everything in around DH's RDO's so we don't have to use any of his sickies. He booked out all his annual leave for us going away for EPU and transfer and also a month for when bub is born. He will accrue just enough leave between bub being born and christmas for him to have xmas holidays when they shut down for about a month. Poor DH has also been putting off getting a referral for a wisdom tooth to be removed in hosptial. He has been hearing horror stories and never been in hospital (his first blood ever test was at 31 years old, just before we started IVF ) so has been putting it off, now it seems it is giving him some real grief, along with headaches, so we are going to see if we can book him in for the surgery sometime during his month off for bub's arrival. That way he doesn't have to use sickies, if they take a sickie they don't get their allowance for turning up to work which is around 130 bucks a day, so a big difference in pay then.
Anyway, must go and check out the rest of the forums :)
Hope everyone is well.

Oohh Marcellus - I cant believe your so calm, the anticipation would drive me insane.
Lenny - Happy Due date.......your soooooooo close.
Im sleeping a little better now thanks Arielle, I have bought another couple of pillows so now there is a fort surrounding me in bed and dh has started to steal some them, though he initially complained ;). I still go numb and have to go for a wander in the middle of the night but at least I am able to go back to sleep. I really didnt want to get into the habit of sleeping somewhere else.
Nic- the infamous car seat dh is going to sort out......thank goodness, so I am letting go of that little string of stress. I think I have also been getting BH, the obs tried to tell me it was ligament pain, but have getting them at night when supported so I think they might be BH. Very painful tightening and cramps and bubs seems to go a little crazy when it happens, so I think that maybe its them.
We just have soooo much going on at the mo, im surprised im not going grey; work is mega stressful as they havent replaced me yet; we're half way through building new house (was supposed to be in by May but the weather took its toll); Were trying to get our current house on the market soon; and im studying and of course the wee psycho inside looking for a way out:wall:
:redface:Im knackered already!!!
But at some point maybe christmas I know we shall look back at this point and say how the hell did we manage....though im really not sure how we will.
Anyway on a cheerful note, our family members all share the same birthdays and starting on the 17th April, we have 4 inbetween till my due date, so I had better have my bags packed before then just in case.
Sorry its a bit of a rant....obviously needed to vent.
Good Luck to the impending bubs...its very exciting
Lis :bellyrubs:
-
yep lis, that sounds like BH's. How much longer are you working for? Hope you can get to put your feet up for a little bit before bubs arrival, sounds very hectic at your place atm.
Nic

-
Hi all, just checking in ;)
Back from docs - still firm, 60% effaced, so could be a while off yet. Am booked in for induction next thursday (just in case), but obviously hoping Jelly makes a move before then.
Lismith - do I seem calm? that's cool.... too tired to be much else really. That sounds like BH to me too.
Well done on organising everything Nic - sounds like a bit of a pain when you have to plan so far in advance for everything!
Arielle - glad you got your decorations. sounds lovely.
Sorry couldn't oblige you with a BA... but Lenny will have one for us very soon I think! Havn't heard anything, so assuming bugsy hasn't arrived already.... Good luck for tomorrow Lenny! I'm jealous, but also super excited and happy for you!!
Thanks for the tip Kimbe - must look down.
Thanks for letting us know about KTgirl Mako, glad to hear all three are doing well.
-
Hehehe we posted at the same time
Lenny's bubs is here
-
Lenny....fantastic!!!
Well done on little Liam...such wonderful news!
Does that mean you are one of the 2% that actually have their baby on their due date?
So thrilled for you...
Just wonderful!

Argh - should have hit refresh after I posted!
Huge congratulations Lenny!!!! :clap::dance:
-
Oh YAY Lenny!! I'm so glad to hear that Liam is here and you are both well :) CONGRATULATIONS!!

Marcellus....looks like she pipped you, hope you are doing ok, hopefully this will spur jelly into action.....try to enjoy the final days of peace while you still can :p
I had more bh :bhcontract:last night.......now im convinced its them.......and I think I can safely say its going to hurt :(
Bubs away....better find lenny's ba
Toodles Lis xx

Congratulations Lenny. I was coming in to wish you all the best for today hun but I don't need to  I hope you and little Liam are well.
I'm off to find your B.A
C'Mon Jelly. You are next. The big wide world isn't that scary. Marcellus how are you feeling? Any signs yet?
-
Marcellus...just wondering how you are doing?
Hope you are able to put your feet up and just have some special mummy and jelly time!
-
Nothing, nada, zip:doh:
but thanks for asking
-
Happy Easter Girls,
Lenny - Big Congrats on the birth of Liam  Well done! Hoping all is well for you all and you are settling in nicely together.
Marcellus - hope you're hanging in there ok and being as patient as can be considering. Have been thinking of you.
Nic/Lismith - I have no BH but have had Jett give hiccups which was pretty cool. Im happy not to have BH cos I think I would panic thinking I was in labour.
Nic - Your comment on a nice glass of brown brothers dolcetto and syrrah - I was luving the brown brothers crouchen & reisling mmmmmmm until transfer when I stopped the odd glass. Could go a nice cold one though I refuse to ! Yummo to all the brown brothers !
Arielle - how sweet you have your decor for the nursery. I felt so good doing ours up, made it seem more real and more exciting !
Me - Have been to chiropractor cos left leg now not working very well. Sciatica from hip down to toes and painful. Chiro is helping though. I dreamt Jett looked like my mum last night. Was really weird. I remember kissing him all over his face and he was so soft and smelt like baby powder except he had wrinkles like my mum ewwwwww but he was so soft like grandma skin. He had her dark hair & her eyes. I cant wait to see him, I am so in love with him already.
Have a great weekend girls. Can you believe that March is nearly over?

Hormone Levels
Hi Girls... I recently found out that I finally have a positive blood test from an IVF cycle. I was just wondering if any of you know what the hormone levels should be? Ie: what is a good level? I am 5 weeks pregnant, I had the bfp on Thursday 20th and went in on Tuesday 25th for another blood test just to make sure - the levels on 25/03 were about 2900... is that good?
Hope you are all well. You are all much further along than me, I wonder if there is a different forum I should be in??
-
Congratulations Karena on your bfp. Your levels sound great so please try and relax and keep all the positive thoughts flooding in
Oh yeh you are in a wonderful thread amongst a group of very supportive and caring women who are at various stages of pregnancy or motherhood who understand how you might be feeling and will offer you support. Once again Congratulations :D
Marcellus How are you doing hun? Any sign of Jelly? How long are you allowed to go past your due date? Maybe you could try going for a walk or you and dh could get busy :bd: ;) to try and get the contractions started. Either way I'm getting very excited and can't wait to see you b.a for "Jelly"
Hi to everyone else here. I did a huge post and lost it all. GRRRR. So I'll try and get back on over the weekend and try again.
-
Thanks everyone for you lovely words.
We are just home now, after a 5 day stay in hospital, as our little one was a bit jaundiced. He's looking lots better now and he hopefully feels a lot better too.
A due date baby...no one guessed that was going to happen! I kept timing my pains and thinking...is it really happening? The paediatrician says he is absolutely not small for his dates and maybe the low fluid levels were putting everyone wrong.
I can't believe how instant you fall in love with someone so tiny ...who has just put you through some serious pain! DH was wonderful during the birth, although they took the gas off me at one stage and i grabbed him a little too hard, and gave him some good fingernail marks! I wasn't against pain relief, but didn't end up having anything other than gas.
Marcellus - i am sorry I took your spot in the queue...I really hope that Jelly is nearly here now - keep telling him about the induction and see if that spurs him on.
Will catch up with everyone later - these little creatures seem to consume so much time!!
:hello: Jo
-
Hey Lenny - good to see you back. Hope little Liam is all better now and doing well.
I have been trying to scare Jelly with his eviction notice - but no effect so far.
Hi Karena - Congratulations and welcome. Please stick around, we just havn't had any new members for a while - it's always great when people join. Hope you're doing well.
-
Hi Lenny, how cool that you guys are now home!
Nic
-
You sound fantastic Lenny!
So thrilled for you with little Liam...
And yeah...the little creatures do consume so much time...but isn't it wonderful!
Karena...congratulations!!! Wishing you a wonderful pregnancy, filled with excitement, joy and peace! Enjoy the ride!
-
Karena, Welcome to our little group :) and congrats on your pregnancy. Can't help out with the numbers, I do think there is a thread on here somewhere that gives you an idea of what the levels should be at.
Marcellus, hopefully Jelly will read his eviction notice soon hey.
TL - The hiccups are so cool aren't they! I remember them from DD.
Speaking of my DD, she has been trying so hard to feel bubs kicks, and reckons that she felt a couple, a couple of weeks ago, but on the weekend, she had her hand on my belly and she got this big almighty kick right under her hand and I swear her eyes nearly popped out of her head with excitement! It was such a beautiful (and hilarious) moment. I think that will be one of those images that I will forever remember.
She has been singing twinkle twinkle little star to my belly, and last night when she started singing I got this little kick, whether or not it was a coincidence? It was quite cute though.
I think we are down to 13 weeks before delivery! And DH is still working on DD's wardrobe! Have our OB appointment next week, so will be staying with my parents for a couple of days, and doing some bed shopping for DD.
Did my glucose test on friday. So glad that DH was able to go with me, I felt quite dizzy after the drink, which I don't remember having with DD, but then again, it was so long ago why would I remember!
Catch up with you all later :)
Nic

Hey Chickies
Cmon Jelly....crickey this bub is stubborn, it must just be soo nice and cosy in there Marcellus, you have obviously done too good a job;)
Yeay Lenny, glad your home and everthing is going well......you sound soooo in love with your wee man :p
Welcome Karena- we havent had any new peeps for ages, I thought we had been lost:D, I hope you have a wonderful pregnancy. I knew the numbers at some point i'll see if I can dig out my old score card....im sure it had levels on it, unfortunately the old brain is not fairing too well at the moment.
Nic - 13weeks will fly, I dont know where the last month has gone seriously.
OMG OMG Its April tomorrow that means I have a month left at work:cryinglaugh::cryinglaugh: I am getting seriously excited now!!! She's not too far away aaaahhhhh.
Big hello to everyone hope all mums, bubs and tums are doing well:hello:
Lis xx
-
Hi Girls & Bubs,
Marcellus - are you there yet? We're all anxiously waiting for something to happpen. Hope all is ok.
Lenny - Welcome Home. You sound relaxed and totally enjoying your new little man. Hope things are going smoothly for you.
Nic - I had my glucose test the week before and I loved the sweet drink. I didnt have to fast for mine did you? My next appointment is not until next Tues so I wont get the results until then.
Karena - Big Congrats on the BFP. All the very best for the journey ahead and its great for you to join us. There are some very caring and knowledgeable ladies here who will help you along the way. Enjoy every minute.
Lismith - You must be so excited to leave work soon and have some time to yourself. Its all so exciting the steps that happen that bring our due date closer & closer.
Me - Im having my 4D, 30 week scan on Thursday and I cant wait to see bubs gorgeous face. Im sure he's a cutie like his dad! Im so excited to bring the DVD home and watch it over & over & over. He has been moving heaps and I havent been able to rest much. My sciatica is now really bad & chiro & masseur are telling me bubs is putting most of his weight on my left hip and its taking its toll. Im feeling a bit nauseaus today, hope Im not coming down with something.
Hope you all are well and enjoying your beautiful bumps.
TraceyLee
-
Traceylee, no I didn't have to fast for the glucose test either. It was sweet wasn't it! I thought it was going to be horrible. I remember it was terrible with DD, 8 years makes a big difference LOL! DH thought it smelt horrible, i thought it smelt like soda stream?
Hope your results come back all good. Your next appointment is the day after mine :) OMG at having a 4d 30 week scan! When we had ours, we couldn't get a good pic of bubs face, so the lady told us to see if we can go back around 30 something weeks for another one. We are going to ask the OB if he will refer us on for another one. Hope you get some gorgeous pics and video.
lis, YAY for only a month to go at work! Hope the time flies by
Well, I have finally filled out my paperwork to register at the hospital! I have been putting it off for various reasons, and DH and I had a bit of an arguement over it on the weekend. So will show it to him tonight and I'm sure it will make him very happy. I think we can't book in for the tour and midwife interview until somewhere around 30/32 weeks. Waiting to see when our next OB visit will be and try to book both appointments on the same day, not sure if I will be able to pull it off though.
When do you go down to fortnightly visits?
Nic
-
Hi all
Still here. JelJel is very happy where he is and we'll be going in to hospital thursday night for induction. Not very happy about it, but have a couple of days to get used to the idea I guess.
Take care everyone
-
Hey Marcellus
Hang in there...and you never know what might happen in the next 48 hours!!!
I know Dr Thyer said he wouldn't induce me as I thought I was nowhere near looking ready (and I was 8 days over) and he thought it would end up a failed induction and then onto emergency c/s...
So it must mean that he thinks you are really close...and there's a fantastic chance that it's all going to happen very soon...
Wishing you all the very best!
-
marcellus, hope little Jelly decides to start making his wayout for cuddles before you get to induction.
Sending loads of labour vibes your way :)
Nic
-
BIG FAT LABOUR VIBES MARCELLUS COMING YOUR WAY:p....hey but you never know the dreaded "I" word, may just do the trick:rolleyes:
Traceylee- how cool to have a 4d scan so late, im so jealous, up here in hicksville there are no options for that kind of thing. But i would so love to see my bubba, been having freaky dreams about there being something quite abnormal in there.
Nic - my fortnightly appoints started at 28weeks, then they go to weekly at 36 apparently. I have been seeing the midwives as have had no real issues, but think from 36 I may see the obs, As I am getting to the need reassuring stage.
Well you have to forgive this TMI but did anyone else have the runs towards the end...I have seriously been constipated since the beginning and now in the last 2 weeks I have done a complete u-turn, not diarrhea (spelling?) but a significant difference. And am now thinking these pains are definielty bh, been happening when im at work and at night only last a bit and then go, but feel like cramp and like my bump is a about to fall off. Would be really useful for a random sign to appear, when these things happen saying "YES COMPLETELY NORMAL DONT PANIC":p.
Sorry Im rambling.....hospital bag is semi packed, dh wants me to buy snacks for him this week (he has been reading his babybook for dads:rolleyes:) and he is picking out some clothes for me to pack (cos he wants to look good hehe), but at least we are now talking about pain relief and stuff (guess I should be glad he is interested) We still dont start antenatal classes till the 16th....hope we make it!!
Anyway big hello to everyone:hello: hope you are all ok:D
-
Hi Ladies... thanks to everyone for your sweet messages and positive thoughts. Glad to be a member of a new group now, very exciting and extremely nerve racking all at the same time! Just counting down until we have our first scan on 9th April... hanging out to hear a heartbeat!!
Hope everyone is going well... thanks for the warm welcome!!
-
Marcellus I hope Jelly decides to make his grand entrance before the induction but hey, either way you know he'll be safely in your arms by the weekend. How exciting hun. Sending you heaps and heaps of L.V's. Take care and know that I'm really excited now. WooHoo c'mon little Jelly. Come out and meet your mummy and daddy :D
Lismith well done on having your bag almost packed. Not all that long for you either. You are next after Marcellus aren't you?
Nic I think I started fortnightly appoints at either 26 or 28 weeks. I didn't really make the weekly ones  as Sage and my Ob had other ideas
-
thanks for the info girls, so I may even start on fortnightly visits soon! Feels very much like we have spent the last 12 months doing nothing but driving in the car to visit specialists lol.
Karena, hope all goes well with your first scan :) and you get a nice 'first pic'
Nic
-
Hi Ladies
Hope you don't mind if i join you :)
DH and I got the exciting news that we were finally pregnant after 3 1/2 years TTC and on our 5th IVF cycle last Monday. HCG levels were 1305 and at week 5 yesterday had gone up to 3000. So now we just wait for Tuesdays scan to see how many are cooking.
Will have to catch up on how everyone is doing and its nice to actually post in this thread :)
Conratulations to you all and i can't wait to share your journeys.
Shan
-
Wonderful news Shannon!
So thrilled for you...
Enjoy the magnicent journey of pregnancy...and motherhood!
-
Shannon Thats awsomme news hun. I'm so happy for you. I wish you a magical pregnancy and can't wait to hear how many bubbas you are cooking
Marcellus I want to wish you all the best for the induction today. Won't be long now until you have your precious little bundle in your arms.
-
Shannon - I have been diligently following you guys in the LT thread, and I am sooo happy for you. It's great news and I hope you have the best pregnancy. I'm really thrilled for you both.
Karena - welcome too, it's great to see some of the gaps being filled - we have had a few babies born this year already. It's a neat thread this one - and it's so nice to have a mix of people in different stages of their pregnancies. I only wish i didn't have to leave now!
Marcellus - i hope i caught you in time. I tried to send you 'labour vibes' last night. The whole mornington peninsula lost power and I couldn't get on the puter to wish you all the best. I hope Jelly took the eviction notice seriously - but either way, you will be meeting your precious little one very soon. Take care and all the best. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
To everyone else...motherhood is great, but where on earth does the time go?? Will do more personals when my washing pile goes down and i can see the floor again.
:hello: Jo
-
WooHoo Shannon! Welcome :)
marcellus - all the best for tonight, will be thinking of you.
Nic
-
Hi Girls,
A Big Welcome & Congrats to the Newbies Karena & Shannon!
Shannon - your post said you are waiting to see how many are cooking, just interested to know how many you had transferred back in. Hope all goes well for you, its such an exciting time.
Marcellus - Will be thinking of you tonight for your induction and hoping that all goes well. Happy Birthday Jelly ! Take Care and all the very best labour vibes to you.
Nic - After next Tuesday's visit I am on fortnightly visits. I will be 30 weeks and 1 day.
Jo - sounds like you are so busy with bubs and really enjoying motherhood. Leave the washing for DH and get some rest.
Lismith - yep, runs it is. I started a couple of days ago, so different from what it was. My post is in here where I said I thought I was "coming down with something." Its cos they changed too. So not used to it and was worried that the food wasnt staying in long enough for Bubs to absorb any nutrients. I will check it out at my next visit Tuesday. Maybe I feel different too cos now its so regular, but Im still going to check it out.
I had my 4D scan this morning and all is going great. Jett has great fetal "breathing", is 1.5kg (a bit big) and had a full tummy and bladder so he is drinking. He is a good size and had good lengths for growth. Unfortunately, we only got one photo of his 4D face but he looks like my dad ! We couldnt believe it! Jett didnt like the ultrasound at all. He was covering his face with both hands and amazingly both feet! He also had the cord under his chin which freaked me out. There was so much cord there, I was worried it was wrapped around his neck. He is also very low, way down to my cervix whatever that means. I get the report next Tuesday when I have my visit so I will ask then. I have the DVD but its not much. We have a perfect photo of his "pecker" though ! All in all it was great to see him & cant wait to have him.
Hope you are all well and comfy.
