Have been out of town for a couple of days so MIA, but I'm back! So much to catch up on so hope I don't miss anyone.
Gab - Hope you're well, not long till D Day!!
Sal - Eek on the terrorising, you definitely don't need that at the moment. I'm hearing you on the BB's too - I'm very pornstar at the moment!!
TamB - Hope you're taking care of yourself!
Tigg - WOW! Awesome news and photos - those scans are amazing!
Jo - So sorry sweet to hear you're down. I missed you when you weren't around! Take care hon.
Mel - Hope you're feeling better too. PS - LOVE the pg belly!
Shell - You have a great attitude towards the spotting, hope it stops well and truly for good!
Sush - Can't wait to see your av belly! Beautiful pic of your kids too - they must be so excited about the baby.
Shazz - Am sure those test results will come back fine and hope you're feeling better.
Cai - Will catch up with you in March thread.
Well I really hope I haven't missed anyone - so sorry of I have. As for me I am good - made our first big purchase while away. We bought the Phil and Teds e3 pram, it came with a free cocoon and we bought the matching capsule as well which fits on the pram. It is racy red and very flash - just need tp work out how to use it!! We were tossing up between that and the Valco Deluxe but went with the P&T's in the end (it is NZ made and Valco is Aus!!). It was quite scary I have to say!!
Hi All, just popping in from the April thread to say hi. Man you guys can talk!!!
Amy - just wanted to say good choice with the Phil & Ted pram. My sister bought one for her bubs and its brilliant!!! She lives in the US so I only got to use it for a short time while I was there, but I WANT ONE!!! Sounds like you've got the same colour as her as well...
Anyway, just thought I'd congratulate you on a great choice....Hope everyone is sailing nicely through their pregnancys and there's not too much m/s in this forum!!
Yay on getting a pram! How exciting to get your first big purchase! I've been told that I'm not going to be the one shopping for prams - DH and my two DSes are going out and getting me one when I'm 6 months on. I'm just hoping it doesn't look like some hotted up car!
I'm happy to let them enjoy the shopping and be the one who stays in bed and gets pampered. I can live with that!
I realised this morning that my ticker wasn't ticking! Have tinkered with it now and am hoping it's working again, but won't know until tomorrow. #-o
BTW Amy, my husband's originally also from NZ, so I bet he'll be looking for an NZ made pram too!
Went and had my ECG done today doc said i had a few little hickups but nothing to much to worry about 8-[ All my Bloodtests came back
cholesterol = high
sodium = low
liver function = concerning follow up tests to come but then apparently going under General anesthetics can cause this .. 8-[
Hcg = 45000 @ 7 weeks she assured me this was fine hey the way i see it it is still going up not down this black duck is happy
so my 8 week scan on monday i am really looking foward to speaking with the IVF doctor face to face i have a list of questions as long as my arm cause if i go public i have to wait 9 more weeks to see a doctor again so now we are weighing up the costs of going private over public oh what joy !!
Tiff - Your scan pics are great! They are very clear as well, I must admit that sometimes I have to really really look, didn't have to with yours
Amy - Yay on the first purchase! I have also looked at the P&T double pram, I'm glad it comes in other colors because the one I saw was a kakky brown color, so I didn't take too much notice at the time.
I'm debating with myself on doing half disposables half cloth nappies atm. Do you guys think I'm mad? I worked it out that to buy disposables it would cost around $60 - $80 a week just on nappies. I had a talk to a girlfriend who uses cloth and her daughter is still in them at 2.5. And she reckons there is nothing to it. She just does the old fashioned way with the flannelette and terry squares and uses nappy liners. I'm not sure if i want to spend the money on the new fangled fitted cloth nappies about, and certainly don't want to buy them second hand.
Jo I saw the P&T's twin pram - it is very cool. One side can lay flat while the other still stays up which I thought was cool, that one was grey but think it comes in blue and red too??? It was very funky looking and they tend to be slightly narrower than others so they fit through doorways easier. Jo I don't think you're mad for considering half disp half cloth naps - all the power to you!! Personally I don't think it's too hard to put an extra load of washing on (says she of no children yet!!) and if you're willing to give it a go I think that's great.
Have been unable to get on for a while which - as you can imagine - has been very distressing! 8-[
Am so very very pleased to hear that Tiff is also expecting a perfect little pigeon pair! How adorable!
And ladies, might I add, these preggy bellied avatars in here are looking just gorgeous and Im so damn happy to see you all in your healthy glow (albeit cartoon form!)
Miss you all, and will be hopefully able to get on again soon...... (internet gods permitting!)
Shazz - Sorry i forgot to woohoo you on your great results from the tests. It must be a little ease on the mind now.
Keen - Always good to see you.
Amy - I think that the adventure buggy thing I have been looking at is made by the same people as the P&T one???? I had another look on their website and they are pretty pricey, you have to buy all the gadgets seperate like raincovers etc... the one I saw was for about $1000, i think I should have picked it up there and then......it was a bit of a bargain!
thanks Jo ~ it helps to knows things are going along the way they should still i am a little anxious about the scan on monday but after the bout Of MS this morning it made me feel a whole lot better about the SX thing i am just soo irrational ATM hope i get to enjoy some of this PG ,
so how are things going with you ?
