Morning everyone.
Hope everyone is having a happy new year.
Jane and Monnie - good luck with your scans. Enjoy!
Shez - Isabella is gorgeous. Are you able to put more photos up for us somewhere?
Chris - pity about the GD but good that they have diagnosed it and you can manage it by diet. Hope you are over your scare now.
As for me I am slowing down a bit now.(7 weeks to go). It's hard to get around and harder to get comfy. But I still have a big smile on my face. Sleeping has become interesting. And the baby's movements now take up my whole bump - feels like star jumps with elbows, feet and knees. :)
Am starting to get organised. Have half packed my delivery room bag and my hospital stay bag, have washed all the baby things and am obsessively knitting woollen pilchers and surfing the net for modern cloth nappies... so far haven't bought anything though. We've also decided to have a doula, and amazingly, managed to get a woman that has been highly recommended by several people, we didn't think we'd have a hope leaving it so late. I feel so much more relaxed about the birth now.
How is everyone else? :hello:
-
well done Kar on bag packing - don't surf the net you will find all the info in the cloth nappies thread you need
great you found a doula too
Goodluck Jane and if you u/s is in 3d you will see amazing pics like Chris's.The RR drumsticks are divine
-
kar, I know it is pity about GD, thank you for your post, my stress levels have dropped now (LMAO!!) and i do feel more at ease now that my diet has changed. In saying that i wouldnt say that i was really a big eater of the wrong the things, but eating too much of things that fill you up in each meal. Now that i have to watch what i eat, i feel so much more comfortable and not so bloated, also definately not so clogged up. Not long for you now, good thing you are prepared for hospital. I have some things for the bub, but nothing for me.. Oh well i guess if it happened soon, i will have to run around naked - LOL.
Doesnt it feel good and funny when you feel the stomach jump. It feels funny when i feel him moving below and when you get an elbow scraping sides (feels like when you run your tongue over the insides of your cheek).
TRISH: Ggrrr.. about the RR's LOL.. (good thing i not got cravings). Hope little ones are good and you all keeping well.
-
hey guys, just a quick visit.
Jane how did you go??
love to everyone else xx
-
hi everyone
all went well today, bubs was in fine form bouncing around and laying in the right position at the right time for the sonographer to take all the measurements. They even gave us a wave (well it looked like a wave lol).
The sonographer said 'they are lying back with the feet on the dashboard', it was actually a great moment, DH and I keep watching the dvd and getting so clucky.
We finally announced today too. Mum is beside herself with excitement, DH thought he was going to have to call an ambulance for his mum, she was very emotional and all my nieces just about wet themselves. My 9 year old niece is off knitting in the heat wave to make bubs a beenie LOL. So it's all good.
Now I need to work out how to put a picture of bubs in my signature, I have a good one of them waving.
Hope everyone is well and not melting in this heat.
-
fantastic news jane!! :confetti:
-
That's so wonderful Jane!
Enjoy this gorgeous time...
-
Yippee! Great news Jane. I laughed at the thought of all your nieces wetting themselves.
Does this mean you're next, Monnie?
-
Yep...I'm on Monday! 9 weeks scan...so hoping everything is fine...
Feeling positive which is good!
-
Woo hoo Monnie.. you get to see your little one. Cant wait to see your pic.
JANE: WTG!!! have you worked out how to put pic on ticker yet. Luv to see it.
-
um no Chris, I think I am a bit silly, I better sit down and work it out. I was showing my 9 year old niece (one of the ones who almost wet herself - 3 of my nieces are all 9 yr olds) she thinks it looks like a girl ROFL and is preparing a list of names for me, funny thing is that she comes up with the best name suggestions, she said to me "are you writing these down?"
-
JANE: She sounds like a character (Funny girl). Well are you writing them down LOL.
-
Chirs - yeah I did actually LOL
-
okay, I have updated the ticker, gee it's little though, hmm might go and have a play around
-
Oh no on the GD Chris, luckily can be controlled by diet though. (Hmmm maybe I should do your diet, I've been soooooo hungry & some stuff not so good, yikes. I definitely feel like I'm showin already, OMG.) :)
How exciting Monnie & Jane. Only 2 more days Monnie, hope ur in the morning so u dont have to hang out all day waiting, hehe. :)
Jane, thought I'd missed something then, thought u were having twins as you said they/them 3 times, hehe. That's awesome on the scan.
Kar, that's awesome, you are all prepared by the sounds of it.
-
hehe Shell, I don't like saying "it" dont' know why
-
Yep...pretty excited about the scan coming up...trying not to get too nervous!
It's a big day on Monday...my DH has a huge recital (he's a musician) and I always get so nervous when he plays (I shouldn't...he's fantastic...but I just do!) And then it's the scan in the afternoon...adrenalin will be getting a work out in my body tomorrow!!!
Just to let you know that we are heading off on holiday straight after the scan (off to Rottnest...a little island off Perth for a few days)...so I won't be able to post the results of the scan until Friday...
Hope everyone has a fantastic week...
-
Monnie - Just wanted to wish you lots of luck for Monday. Have a great trip to Rottnest, hope the trip isn't too rocky for you :)
-
Thanks Missbelinda77...I'm hoping all of the adrenalin and excitement from the day will help override any nausea and motion sickness on the boat!!! Thankfully it's only a 25 minute trip...
...but I will have a couple of bags ready...just in case!!!
-
we have all gone a bit quiet
How is everyone?
-
Morning everyone
I'm battening down the hatches here - it is going to be 38 here today and tomorrow.
Thank goodness I got aircon installed in Sept. I seriously wilt once it gets over 27 inside.
I've just had two nights sleeping through without having to get up to go to the loo. AMAZING!
Had an ex ring up last night and offer me a stack of baby things - am going over to his place to look through stuff with his wife. very exciting. Then my ma is coming over on Sunday to get things sorted out. (We have no room and I'm racking my brain about how to get organised with baby stuff and no dedicated nursery furniture apart from a change table and bassinette. Baby stuff is so hard to stack!).
We have a 35 week growth scan next wednesday.
How's everyone else going?
-
Kar - we have a portable air con unit and it has saved me, I would love "proper" aircon.
Well I am off work today, I had a scare yesterday when I went to the loo and had a bleed, actually I just about had heart failure. I called my ob and he said to put my feet up, which I am doing. It seems to have stopped which is a relief, he did say it could be a blood vessel on the cervix, apparently they can bleed too, which I think it might have been. It has been a good lesson for me to take it a bit easier especially in the heat, I have been ploughing on like normal which I might review at this point.
I freaked Mum out though, and now she keeps asking me TMI questions LOL poor Mum
-
Ooh Jane take it easy.....
-
wow you must be a special ex for your ex to offer baby goods to you - great
Jane - good advice from Ob.Rest up
-
wheres monnie with her news???
-
Just popping in to let you all know that bleeding has stopped, so that is a huge relief. I have taken putting my feet up literally today.
-
Jane, take it easy pet. How scary for you.
Hope Monnie didn't get too shook up on the boat. She was going on a boat ride wasn't she?
-
Yeah Monnie said she couldn't post til today.
Jane hope you are resting and have no more scares.
Kar look at you motoring along. Not long now. Are u stil planning on finding out the flavour next week?
Belly rubs to all
-
Cant believe how much the time is flying by and your bellies all growing so beautifully! LOVE that pic of your belly Kar - so hard to believe just how close you are.
Glad to hear that bleeding has stopped Jane - you keep resting up... good girl :)
-
Hey guys
I'm back!
Just had 5 days on a lovely little island off Perth...very gorgeous!
Unfortunately we had to rush from the Ob. appointment straight to the ferry!
Amazingly, when I was over there, all my nausea subsided...it's decided to return since I got back last night!
Well...the scan went well. Saw the heartbeat again. The Ob. seemed very happy with the progress, though a little concerned about a fibroid that it is the nearby vincinity of bub...I need to go and have a scan at 12 weeks to ensure everything will be okay...
So hopefully, that's good. Thankfully, I'm not too worried...I think our Ob. errs on the cautious side.
So...all good this end...how's everyone else doing?
Jane...so glad the bleeding stopped...take care chickie!

Excellent news Mon
Glad to hear bleeding has stopped Jane.
Keen Mwa! and babydust.
Danni - your ticker has gone awol. Must be about time for a new belly shot???
Hi everyone! :hello:
-
:throw_computer: grrrrrrr i cant seem to fix my ticker! I have been trying to add my new belly pic on there for days and it wont work :(
ill try again now before I throw the computer
-
Great news on a good scan result Mon. :)
Now Dan... put the computer down...
-
Danni - you sound like me when I was trying to get my ultrasound pic in the ticker (mind you I didn't realise you set it up within the ticker itself d'oh).
I still don 't have a bump, I have plenty of bloating and fluid retention but no bump. So that explains the lack of belly pictures from this end.
How is everyone, all my bleeding settled down and I am feeling pretty good, I am still not quite as confident and constantly checking but I imagine that will settle down soon as well. I also hear along the grapevine that my Mum went on a baby shopping spree with my sister yesterday and brought some very cute little things for bubs, my family are all getting into the swing of things and giving us gorgeous blankets and wraps etc. It's very exciting. At least they know what to buy, I keep wandering around looking and can't make my mind up on anything (this was a pre-pregnancy problem with me as well LOL)
-
jane, everytime i added the pic, an error would come up on the page! so I gave up.
Glad to hear everrythings going well :)
-
LOL@Danni with computer, i can relate to that sometimes, Especially when it disconnects me from internet umpteen times and/or crashes.
JANE: Great to hear that your bleed has stopped. Your bub will be spoiled when born with mum and sis going shopping.. DH has spoiled Jnr already and he not even here yet LOL... We were suppose to go out and get meat for dinner last night and bread, came home with only baby stuff and forget meat and bread - LOL..
-
Chris - LOL that is so cute, not good when you are waiting on dinner but very cute
-
Hi Everyone
Danni - if you are with lilypie you might need to swap ticker makers. I gave up trying to refresh my ticker with them and went with Astrolady's suggestion of Babysfirstsite instead.
Well everyone - 2 sleeps until my 35 week ultrasound! We might be finding out the sex! Very excited.
-
oh Kar - we need some more girls - I think :stork-girl: - because she was hiding her modeesty before.
