Prune juice is good, diluted though. My ob recommended actilax, it did the trick. But I also went off elevit and haven't had a problem since.
Ohhh Justine sorry that you are freaking out a bit, I think it's only natural.
I spent Friday night in hospital in alot of pain, bed rest on the weekend and am feeling good now. Bubs is good, cervix still closed and leakage and no placenta abruption - pphew.. Bubs is aroudn 1.5kg already and has excellent trace!!!
Morning ladies
-
MAGIC, it wont hurt if i have been drinking it not diluted will it.
-
Chris - I just couldn't tolerate the taste of it "pure", just start off by taking small amounts as too much can aggravate your bowells.
-
Glad to hear everything is going well Sheree - I've been getting weird pains I don't remember 1st time around as well. Still no BH though.
Chris - glad to hear things are "moving along" nicely again. Don't forget to drink tonnes of water. (Again, something I preach but never do LOL!)
My DS's new "big bed" has arrived today (in about 20 pieces) so now I can relax that my mum has somewhere to sleep when she comes down for my hospital stay. I still have my moments of panic but am a bit calmer about the labour thing. I've survived once - I can do it again. Just really excited to see what my little girl looks like!
-
Sheree, glad to hear that your pg scare is over now. Do the docs know what caused the pain?
Justine, given you're 37w thank goodness you are calmer about the impending labour!!!
On the topic of things 'moving along' or otherwise, when I went for my appt re perineal repair the doc asked what my #2's were like. She then produced a chart showing the range of them LOL as how on earth do you describe that?!?! Well, from pointing out what I normally do, turns out I am mostly constipated (news to me LOL). I never strain going, so even though the doc told me to take Metamucil I just don't bother...
-
I've seen one of those poo charts Sal - they're hysterical!!!!!!
-
Sheree, how scary, glad everythings ok now though. What do u mean by trace? Sounds like a good weight. :)
About 18 days to go before Justine's baby girl arrives.
Sal, a poo chart, PMSL.
-
I just found a copy in Wikipedia - I think it is called the Bristol Stool Chart.
I printed a copy out and stuck in on the notice board in our loo for a joke! Not sure how DH will take it. Agree - Hysterical!
Sheree - are you ok? You sound so calm.
-
Hi everyone
Justine - I can't believe it's sooo close til we meet your precious baby girl, how time flies when your having fun!!!!!!!!!!
Sheree - You poor thing, what a horrible thing to go thru. I'm glad all is good with your little boy. It's getting close for you now too!!
Sal - Big CONGRATULATIONS, that's fantastic news!!
We are going well. Scarlett is absolutely gorgeous if I do say so myself. Sleep still not going well, until last night that is, when we had an absolute beauty of a sleep with a stretch of four and a half hours..........I feel so alive today!!!!
I've gotta get my details updated when I get a chance and throw on a pic of Scarlett, it's just so hard to get a minute on the computer, I always seem to have my boob hanging out........LOL!! Sorry for TMI!!
Love to all of you, gotta go, as she's had her half hour nap.....
Alicia xxxxxxxx
-
Hi Ali - good to see you popping in.
Bubs head is engaged again. This baby is like a yo-yo!
I just read about Annie :crying: . It's not fair :(
-
Hi Ladies
Having a down day today. Went for my ultra sound at 6 weeks and obst said there is a healthy sac and can just see a shadow, but not certain it is baby and have to wait till next tuesday to see if there is a heartbeat.
Has any had scan at 6 weeks and obstr wasnt sure if it was the baby?
I am so worried there maybe a problem, how could you not know?
Be back on BB probably next week sometime after my next scan.. Heres hoping they find something.
Chris
-
Chris - Am thinking of you and have fingers crossed that everything is fine.
-
Chris
I am sure I've read posts on belly belly for 6w scans that don't show a heartbeat and then the next week there is one! It seems a bit early for a scan. Most wait until 7 weeks to see HB. Fingerscrossed.
-
Oh Chris that is scary, but similar thing happened to me... I had a bleeding scare at 6wks (www - milestones) & went to emergency ward at local hospital & the next day they did a scan & said they could only see a sac, no bub & then told me to empty my bladder so they can do an internal scan (dildo cam). Well I was quietly freaking, then they did the internal scan & found bub & the heart had only just started beating in the last few days apparently. Also obgyn wouldn't do a scan b4 27.5wks to double check gender as he said his u/sound machine is no where near as strong/hitech as the u/sound clinics are. I truly hope this is all it is for u, hang in there.
-
Chris
Shell has reminded me that when I had my 7 weeks scan they couldn't see anything with tummy scan so I had to have dildo cam too. But the technician did the switch on me really quickly because she knew I was an IVFer and therefore a dildo cam veteran.
-
Chris- fingers crossed that it is just a matter of timing, hang in there until the next sacn. Dildo cam is best at this early stage.....
I'm OK ladies, just happy that bubs is doing great. The pain was unexplained and I am to rest.....which is quite easy....:D I'm just happy to be "rocking" onto 30 weeks now!!! woohoo
Morning ladies.
-
Chris - I agree - did they do internal scan ? we only had one heartbeat @6wks and they were tiny black blobs ... hope all is okay and next week you see your precious bubba. The obs machines are low tech and not good resolution ... those high tech machines are very expen$ive.
Magic - rest up and woohoo on almost 30wks ...
Shez -how are you going
Kar - how are you going with m/s ?
Syke - you have been quiet
Hi Ali,Shell & Amy - how are all your bubs ?
Sal - you a blooming wonder ...congratulations our first 2nd timer up ?
The boys are feeding well and hopefully we will take them home today - once morning shift MW goes - she said not promising today maybe tomorrow but both have had feeding tubes out since early yesterday morning and feeding well - very healthy and settled between feeds. I am so ready ! Looking at cot in our room this mornign almost had e in tears thinking about them being home finally with us.
I am just taking it as we go today and if no hiccups will stand my ground. Why let them sleep there another night just for the sake of it ... I do everything from 8-9am to 11pm anyway.
-
Hi Trish - wishing for the boys to be home with you tonight....how exciting. Great that they are doing so well.
-
Trish, all fingers and toes crossed that your boys go home with you today! How exciting for you, how long you've waited!
Chris, sounds like bad timing for the scan, let next week's scan show the bubba clearly and you get to see the heartbeating.
Trish, LOL about me being the first second timer. I think the honours go to Justine and Sheree though! IKWYM though, from the old LTTTC thread...
-
yes that's what a meant :) - Sushee is a veteran mummy and Skye - 2 up too ...
still hoping but we will see - very cold here this afternoon must be snowing someone (we are a few hours '5' from snow too BTW)
-
Trish,
hope your beautiful boys got to go home today! They look adorable in your ticker pic!
Chris, my ob did a external scan at 7 weeks 1 day for Charlie and he was only the teeniest blob. He kept telling me and DH 'there's the hb' but for the life of me, I couldn't see a thing! He took eons to find it too! I think it's too early, my sweet.
Just MIA a little this week coz my bro and gf have flown in from o/s. Hope you all are well, though!
-
The boys will be coming home tomorrow now - we didn't get our new car till 5pm and it was very cold and wet tonight so I decided not to push it. We still have to fit carseats as well.It would have been too late.
I can see the light though and I can't wait.:)
It is hard seeing others come in sick and go in a few days when mine were never even sick.
-
Hi everyone!!:hello:
I have been a bit MIA for the past few days, back to work so busy, busy. Maternity leave in a few weeks so I will be planted on the puter then.
Trish~ ohh I can't believe your little bundles will be home tomorrow. How exciting, their little beds will be full tomorrow Mummy, that is just the best news! xoxoxoxo
Sheree~ glad to hear your little scare is over & bubs is going well. I can't believe 30 weeks is just around the corner...where has all that time gone!!!
Chris~ all the best for your next scan. I had an internal scan done at 5w 6d *I think* & bubs heartbeat could be seen..just, apparently had just begun beating. My Dr said it was unlikely we'd see it though. I hope this week flies by for you!
Sush~ how are you & Mr Charlie going? I bet he is growing up so fast. Are you still thinking about having the other other egg put back in December? We got a 'renewal' for our frosties the other day, seems weird paying to have them kept on ice :) I am already thinking ahead to next time lol
Big hello to Sal, Justine, Ali, Kar, Amy, Shell & anyone I have accidently left off!
Have a great night ladies!
-
Xlnt Trish, boys coming home today. Bunny suits (I think), how cuuute. Oooh u won't know urself, new car & 2 new bubbies at home.

Trish, YAY on getting your boys home today! We need some 'home pics' asap!
Chris, hope you are doing OK hun and trying not to worry too much. I'm sure things will be fine.
-
I saw Skeylar's tummy in real life last week & yep it is very compact! Just a cute little bump out the front :)
-
LOL yep girls not much going on there atm. Kinda sad really after all the hassle of TTC I want a big belly to show for it! Keen I think that photo was about 26 weeks maybe? Have a look on the website, it will be there with the date.
Will take an updated pic tonight & pop it on the site, I am getting bigger just s-l-o-w-l-y:rolleyes:
Ohhh I wonder if the boys are home? Imagine how many cuddles they will be getting!!!
-
Skye
Yep the bump has defintely got bigger! :)
You are gorgeous by the way!
Trish - hope you are in heaven at home with your little ones.
-
Yes - we are all home and getting lots of cuddles - off big bro , Nanny and especially Mummy & Daddy - we took this pic today before leaving.
I was so tearful leaving :crying: - so overwhelmed to be finally bringing them home - had to stop myself ...
-
Oh Trish that's wonderful :confetti:
-
Hello Ladies,
Kar, Chris ... glad to hear things are going well for you ladies (if a little crampy, windy and sick. Oh I remember those feelings well).
Sheree - yes, that is a very lovely pic of you and Nicola. Not long to go for you and Justine ... it's great to have some more new arrivals to look forward to!
Just a quick and selfish post ... I am back up in Qld at parents' place. Mum developed peritonitis last week (due to a ruptured appendix). Diagnosis was delayed due to the fact that she also has all her organs on the opposite side of the body to where they should be. Last Friday, the doctor told us she would be lucky to survive so I came up here straight away. Am pleased now to report that she is home and doing much better. She really bounced back so we are all relieved.
I'll be back in Melbourne sometime next week. Just wanted to say hi and I hope you are all going well.
Love,
Mel and WM (getting lots of sun)
Edited to add: Trish, it's so great that your boys are now home. This is such fantastic news. This dial up connection is so slow I am having trouble reading/catching up on all the posts but will do so when I get home.
-
Fantastic Trish, what lil cuties u have. :)
Mel, how scary, but that's great that ur mum's making a full recovery. Hope ur able to enjoy urself more now.
Skye, just checked out ur latest belly pic, it sure has grown since the ticker pic, but is still so compact. :)
-
Yay Trish I am so happy for you! I got teary reading your post so I can only imagine how overwhelming it is to finally bring them home :) I hope your first night was ok.
Glad to hear your Mum is getting better Mel, geez how scary for all of you! Enjoy the sun, it has been yuck here in Sydney.
LOL yep Kar, definately getting a bigger tummy now. I will be huge by the end, I was with my DD so I am guessing downhill & quickly from here on in :cryinglaugh:
13 DAYS TILL JUSTINE'S :babygirl: ARRIVES
-
Woohoo, well it's all happening in here.
Congrats Trish on bringing the boys home. How exciting. Cry good tears of joy as much as you like luvey, it's a momumental occassion indeed.
Wow Justine, not long now...
Morning ladies..
I have the treaded flu now!!!
Oh hope your mum gets better soon Mel
-
Thanks for your thoughts.
ok ladies, feel bit better now, cant help to worry. I hope there is a heartbeat and bubs on Tuesday, thats all i want to hear and then the rest can wait.
I still dont understand what he meant when he said there is a shadow. His machine is ancient though, not like Sydney Ultrasound For Women, which make me more determine to go to them. If I had of had scan when doc asked me if I wanted internal, I should have taken the chance, then I guess I would have found out. Oh well guess have to wait now.
Rang Clinic on Wednesday and done BT HCG 34500 from 4030 (7 days prior) and progesterone has risen to 910 from 798 (7 days prior).
Trish your bubs look great in the pics. That’s fantastic they are coming home. Woo hoo.. They will sleep in their own bed. Will also be spoiled by Mummy Daddy, big bro and Nanny. It probably doesn’t to you, but only seems like yesterday you announced your BFP.
Chris
-
Mel - been thinking about you all week and lots of  - So relieved your mum is on the mend.
Chris - those HCG levels are excellent ... hold tight to your dream - you are in my
Justine is accepting LV after she gets her hair cut tomorrow... not sure which hair she meant LOL
Our first night home went well.
-
Trish congratulations on getting your two handsome men home, there is nothing like having cuddles when you want them
Chris those HCG results are excellent, good luck with your scan on Tues but I know you wont need it, everything is going to be fine
