hello ladies
just popping in quickly - our boys are doing well and gaining weight Samuel was up 65gm and Joel 90gms... now to get those damn feeding tubes out and get them home and breast feeding.
Joel is feeding so much better than Samuel - a bright eyed little button and Samuel is a sleepy head not interested much in bottle feeds but takes a few minutes on breast when it suits him.
Trish - That's fantastic that Samuel & Joel are doing well. You must be absolutely stoked!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see some piccies!!
Hi to everyone else, I hope you are all keeping well and those precious bubs are growing nicely in your tums.
We're doing well. Scarlett is putting on weight nicely although being diagnosed lactose intolerant. Poor little thing has really been struggling with tummy pains. I'm continuing to BF as my paedeatrition (sp??) said that it should pass within about four mths or so. As you can imagine though, not getting much sleep at all, averaging about 2 -3 hrs per night (not in a row of course). THink I'm starting to get used to the no sleep factor now, just wish I could do something for her when she's in pain.
Sorry for not getting on to check in much but I really haven't had the chance re above....lol!!
Hi Trish so happy to hear that Samuel & Joel are going so well! It must be amazing to look down & see your two little men on the outside now!
Have the Dr's given you an indication as to when you may bring them home?
Oh Ali poor Scarlett!! It is horrible when they are in pain isn't it. You poor thing re no sleep! I don't know how you do it, I hope you have lots of help at home so you can rest.
Justine not long now!!! You are next how exciting! I can't believe how quickly the time is flying.
Wow 3rd trimester tomorrow  before I know it bubs will be here. I am starting to worry a bit with how I can share myself between Bailea & the baby. She is getting a bit funny sometimes if I am on the lounge rubbing my tummy. She pulls my hands off my belly & says 'don't touch that baby' I just hope she copes ok when her little bro/sis arrives
Wow Trish that is great news re the boys.
Hi Ali - funny you should mention the sleep deprivation, I was ruminating at 3am this morning about "how am I going to deal with the sleep deprivation". I did 3 hourly feeding with DD for 9 months. Hopefully Scarlett's tummy will settle down sooner than later. Have you thought about getting a second opinion on it though?
OMG, so it goes Justine, Ness then ME!!!!!! Woohoo.
Hi Trish
Yeah I'm concerned about how DD will cope with lil bro too. I suppose we can only wait until the event. DH doesn't want us saying too much about the lifestyle changes that a new bub will cause to DD, but I feel a need to start to tell her about the crying, and how mummy will need to be shared with the baby......Also DD sleeps through the night once in bed, but we have a "trying" time getting her to stay in her room to get to sleep IYKWIM. I just know that she will be getting up in the middle of the night when I'm trying to feed baby boy.!!
So good to see you Trish - I bet you can't wait to have your boys home. It sounds like they are doing well. I hope you are getting some rest between visits to the hospital.
I've just come back from OB. As I had suspected, bubs has moved up and disengaged out of my pelvis. She's still head down though and hopefully will stay that way. I'm enjoying much less pressure on my bladder and sleeping longer through the night with less pee breaks. So my hopes of a July baby are looking slim - I bet I go over now. Whatever - she'll come out when she's ready.
I'm also freaking about how DS will cope. He's permanently attached to my leg these days and very possesive of me. I can see some major tantrums happening . Bring it on!!
Justine - like you said she will come when she is ready. Not long to go though woohoo. I hate dealing with tantrums at the best of times, let along hormonal during pg and I know I will hate dealing with them when bubs is a newborn - hormonal again....
OMG Shell really!! Woo hoo if I am! I always thought it started at 28 weeks but I'll take whatever I can get Hope Holly is going well! I bet she is growing up fast.
My DH is the same Sheree, doesn't say much about bub coming etc but Bai cries when she sees a newborn crying in the shops I am in for a shock I think!
Justine did Isaac move out of your pelvis as well? When I was induced Bai was transverse. I am hoping this bub moves down a little earlier.
I have another big scan at 32 weeks to see if my placents is still low. I am hoping it has moved up & out of the way. Have an Ob appt on Monday so we will see what he says I guess.
Sarah, that's the American definition (typical that they do things differently over there ). Check out Australian sites and you'll see I know that 'trimester' implies divided evenly into three, but that's not the way it was originally worked out, it was more to do with certain stages reached of foetus/placenta development eg once bub becomes a foetus you're in the second trimester.
sorry just popped in to see how you all going, not well at moment, will catch up shortly. Have really bad wind pain and cramps. Have had BT today, get results tomorrow. Hope all is just wind. Talk soon.
Trish Happy to hear your boys are doing very well, pictures are gorgeous.
Not long before they come home.
Chris
