Congrats on half way Skye.
Thnx Shez & Sush. Holly was so good, most of the time she loved the camera. DH hates most of the ones of him with his shirt off, hehe, so I'll prob have to remove them.
Bet u cant wait for ur photo shoot Sush.
Tiff, they are gorgeous pickies of Ivy & Noah in their cute lil hats.
Oooh Ali & Trish, it's getting oh so close to ur final countdown.
I still need to get my butt into the birth stories & read them. :-)
-
Thanks Shell and Sush,
Shell, I loved looking at Holly's B&W piccies. My girls loved them too. They ask me "who is that"? and I tell them and they ask if I know you and Holly and I say yes but not IRL. It's weird. They ask why they haven't met you and Holly yet, if you are someone I chat with on a regular basis! LOL, I guess, with the twins turning ten this year things will change soon enough and they will be chatting away to people in forums suited to them!
ETA: I just chucked a couple of them @ five months on there too, thought I'd better update! One of these days, I'll get a proper site going for them, like some of the clever mums on here!
-
Yes Shell , Holly is gorgeous and so photogenic - but your DH doesn't look comfortable topless
Tiff - Ivy & Noah have grown so much and are as cute as ever .
Trying to keep busy to make days go faster . Plus, I am trying to get things done at work as much as I can so it can run when I am not here ... will have to give DH email lessons and show him where I have work stuff on computer.
-
Morning all!
Ttish, I bet you can't wait to meet your little men! Have you finished all their shopping yet?
Tiff, I too talk to my family all the time about my friends on BB, and I don't expect that they know I've never met most of you IRL. We know so much about each other and have shared so many experiences, it doesn't seem to matter that we've never talked face to face..
I'm having a quiet day today as Charlie only slept 6 hours in total last night, which had me having less than 4 hours. If I manage to get him down for a nap, I'll be right behind him catching as many Zs as I can!
And yes. the mad ticker updater/photo taker is up to my old tricks. This new photo was taken yesterday at 32 days old!

I can tease and say that I get to see Sushee and Anna tomorrow
-
That's true, Sheree! And a few others to boot!
-
:crying: ohhh not fair!!! I wanna see Sushee & Anna as well *chucks tanty*
-
What about seeing me Skye LOL!
-
Aw I'm looking forward to seeing you Sheree!
:cryinglaugh:
-
Aw Sheree you might not get to see me :crying: By the time I send a puppy home with her new parents and then go to my u/s in the morning, then drop Dh back here by 12pm I might be able to drop by KP if there are still people there, but I cant stay long as I then have to come all the way back and drop one of our boy pups at the airport to go to Port Hedland.
Ugh this happens EVERYTIME I plan to see someone
-
Skye - we can tease back - we said you,Fletch and I would get together one day ; - they need a cuppa & tim tam smiley !
Sushee - I have bought a total of - 2 romper suits,4 pacifiers,2 shirt/pants (bigger size '0' because they were a great special and only size they had) - and we put pram on layby and also got a zoo pillow for breastfeeding,2 sets of peek-a-boo blocks,a baby lullaby CD and bath wash stuff.I have a few things given already couple of romper suits/knitted jackets.
I am hoping to get to Target sale this week 20% baby clothes and I have a voucher spent over $60 get $20 off (from $5 magazine -I think it was May Mother & Baby). My SIL told me her & mum have been stashing away a few things. So I don't think they will go naked.
SIL is organising a Babyshower in a few weeks too. Just a few family/friends.I told Dh to tell his Father if he asks $$$$$$$ the more zeros the better (DH says 'Landcruiser' but not a chance)
This last week I have been asked nearly every day when am I due etc by customers, checkout lady in BW, waitress in restaurant (LOL -she showed us to 2 seater table in between others and there was no way I would have fitted ... just looked at her and she showed us to a bigger space !Asked more questions and told us about her baby )
... then yesterday after I walked down and back to the back of our business -100m or so a customer asked 'was I okay ?' ~ I know I was walking very slowly and maybe I was huffing and puffing ?
I am wondering do I look that big ? glad at least they don't think I am just fat and lazy any more because I tell where to look.
-
Sheree I'd love to meet you too honey, that goes without saying
Trish you name the time & place & I am there!! Would love to meet you & your boy belly!
-
Tiff & Sush, LOL, yeah I talk about BB friends all the time too. And your other pickies are gorgeous too.
Trish, u got that right, DH doesn't like the shirt off photos, hates the amount of chest hair he has. :-) Yay on the target vouchers, they have some great clothes.
Oh no Sush, lets hope he sleeps better tonight. Ok, I don't mean to rub it in here, but lil Miss Holly went 10hrs between feeds 2 nights ago, was 7-8hrs before, I must have a dream bub in the sleeping dept. :-)
Sheree, PMSL. Skye can blame it on the preggy brain we all get, LOL.
Anna, sounds like those pups are keeping u pretty busy.
Well Holly had her paed aptmt yesterday, sacral dimple closing in well, hips have matured, cardio check perfect, neck tumour shrinking, bare weight 3.96kg (+1kg since birth) so a great result, everything but HC in 25 percentile. My obgyn checkup went well too, couldn't get overdue yrly pap done as still bleeding so he said if doesnt stop in 4wks then curette, but I'm sure it will. :-)
-
shell,
I fantasize about 10 hr sleeps! His longest straight sleep (just the once) was 6 hours, but most nights it's 3-4 hrs. He's none the worse for wear though, but it's taking a lot out of me. I'm eating like a pig, but since my birthday have lost another 2 kgs. And yet not in the jelly-belly region!
You have been fortunate with Little Miss Holly in the sleep dept! I'm so jealous!

congratulations on the weight loss Sushee - Charlie is going to be a heart breaker . Woo hoo to your DS Zaki - what a champ he is too.
How did you meet up go Sheree & Co ?
and Shell - Miss Holly is just such a good baby - good weight gain too
Justine - buddy where are you ?
Ali - not long for you ...
Skye - that will be cool ... better do it before these guys arrive
Shez - when is your 12wk scan ?
Ness- how are you ?
It has been so quiet in here .... everyone is having a busy weekend by looks of it :)
Anna - glad all is well with Jett and the puppies are going to good homes.
I hope we have a few graduates joining us in next few weeks ( Tam & Chelle & ? others ...I can't keep up with them all ) - it is getting way too quiet in here and there are far too many girls in LTTTC forums.
-
Hey everyone, hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend.
My laptop died last week so haven't been online much lately. We do have a 'puter upstairs but it's a pain to drag my big bum up there cause DS always wants to follow and gets into alot of mischief up there (lots of wires and stuff to play with). So I need to wait until he's in bed and by then I can't get my big bum off the couch Lol!
I can't believe how quickly time is going. My belly is massive and I look the same as I did at 40 weeks with Isaac! She's very active too but always quietens down at night so I still sleep OK. My boys are at swimming lessons this morning so I'm enjoying the peace and a lovely cup of tea.
I still haven't bought any clothes for the poor thing. My DH wants me to give away DS's baby clothes. I just can't bring myself to. What if we have a miracle "accident" after this baby. I can't imagine us going back to contraception - seems a bit pointless considering my history. But these things obviously can happen - can't they Sheree? Doesn't matter really - I think my Dh has forgotten how to DTD anyway - it's been so long Lol.
Hope to see some freshies in here soon - very exciting!
-
Justine
- glad to hear from you -was starting to wonder ...
Join the club - I have yet to hit the shops either ... going to buy a few tiny things today ... just in case to pack in labour bag.
where are the rest of you ladies ?
-
Wow it has been quiet in here!!
Justine glad to hear everything is going well for you! Not long now till your little princess arrives. Time is just flying isn't it.
Trish hope your shopping day goes well. There are some gorgeous things at Kids Central in the Plaza. I called in the other day & picked up a few things for my bundle. I love little people shopping it is so much fun :p
My DD spent last night at my Mum's. She has just gotten back & is in bed again..poor little thing was worn out. DH & I were meant to go out but I started to get a gastro type bug which was horrible. I opted for an early night in bed instead. I am feeling much better today, but still a little hesitant to eat too much in case I over do it.
I am starting to worry a bit about bubs. I have been watching the dvd of my scan over & over & the u/s guy measured the skin fold a billion times. I asked him at one stage what he was doing & he said my measurements were a bit strange. They went from 5.8 to 8.9. He said my downs test came back at 1:17000 & not to worry but he kept going back & remeasuring  so now of course I am worried.
Can't wait till my ob appt on the 7th June to ask him all about it.
:hello: have a great Sunday ladies xo
-
 Oh Skye,
I know it's silly and pointless for me to say don't worry.
I hope you don't stress too much before your OB appointment.
-
Tiff that pic in your ticker is gorgeous! They look just adorable together!
Skye, I had something similar happen. The first technician measured it and seemed concerned. She did it over and over again. Then the Dr came in, told her she was looking at the egde of the amniotic sac and re-measured it. Needless to say, it came back with tiny odds.
Unfortunately the person doing the NF scan requires some degree of expertise, and you could tell that the Dr knew just what to look for. I would imagine that they wouldn't have given you such good odds if they didn't get an absolute opinion, so while I know you'll worry anyway, I hope it's some consolation.
Charlie has broken out in a lovely rash the last few days. I took him to the CHN, who assured me it's perfectly normal, just means he's going to look a blotchy mess in the photos on his christening this Sunday.
Also had a lovely catch up with some of the WA BBers on Saturday, and Kirby commandeered Charlie for most of the time we were there. which gave me a lovely rest from mummy duties. Sheree and I, of course, chatted non-stop, as we're wont to do whenever we meet! And no, she hasn't got that pg waddle yet, but it can't be far off!
On another note, DH and i finally had a serious talk about TTC again. He admitted that he would love to have another baby in the future, and he's agreed to transferring our last blast in Dec (while my referral to my FS is still current) but if that fails, he does not want to undergo the emotional and financial upheaval of IVF again, esp since we are lucky to already have a child together. I completely understand where he's coming from, because I too found IVF such a difficult journey, so have agreed with him that this last little snow-bub will be our last bite of the apple, so to speak. Wish us luck!

Skye I hope you are feeling better now from your tummy bug.
I have been very tired yesterday and today, DH had the start of the flu and is taking day & night tablets to make him better, he is improving fast, hope I don't get it though.
I'm like you Justine I haven't bought clothes or anything like that yet, we have just been concentrating on items like a cot, car seat and pram. Although I have bought some items like nappies because they were on sale. SIL is having a baby shower for me next month so I figure that I will wait till after that to buy clothing and manchester items.
MIL bought my baby the cutest outfit, it is a 3 piece outfit with baby tigger on the top, 1 pair of white pants with little tigger's all over it and another pair of pants that is striped like a tiger (orange and black). She also bought me a set from the nutrimetics range of all their baby gear (lotions etc) with a matching nappy bag.
Hope everyone is doing okay.
-
OMG - I can't stop eating!!!!! I think I've been to the fridge and cupboard 20 times in the last hour, looking for anything inviting. Still nothing there though....
-
Skye, there's always something to worry about in these special pregnancy journeys, and it's great to have obgyn's reassure everything's fine, so hurry up 7th June. :-) Hope that bug disappears, yukky.
Ness, that sounds so cute.
Justine, LOL, ur bub must be hungry :-)
Sush, bugger on the rash, Holly's milk pimples broke out a few days b4 our photo shoot, such a pain. Is it a rash or milk pimples? Is there anything they can treat him with? I'm sure he'll look adorable though. And best of luck in Dec. :-)
Well the 10hr sleep was a one off, but still going 7.5 then 4.5 each night, so I'm still happy bout that. For last 2 days, she's been awake alot during day & feeding 2.5 -3hrly. Hopefully Charlie will follow suit shortly. WTG on the weight loss.
I agree, great ticker Tiff.
Have fun shoppin Trish. Ooh, I hope there are some new additions too.
Vent warning: Got a bill for anaesthetic last wk, for us to pay unclaimable $1100, will disc 50% if pay in 2wks, yikes. Esp after I ph health fund b4 birth on few occasions to confirm how much we'd be out of pocket even if it means c/s, if we go private, they said ONLY $250 hosp excess, even if bub requires treatment. I rang last wk, now they say there's no record of who I spoke to & they dont tell people that, grr. They also had told me that Holly's 3 bill's that I rec'd (in hosp) would be fully covered too, but Medicare said they won't be, so ph fund again, now they say they wont be either as Holly wasn't a patient & u guessed it, no record of that previous call either & again they said they dont say things like that. Well I'm partially to blame for trusting them & not writing down who I spoke to & when. :-| Oh well, small price to pay for Holly, but just ticks me off when people give false info & aren't held accountable.
-
Shell,
it;s definitely a rash, unfortunately. It comes and goes, is much worse after a sleep or when he's been crying. Almost non-existent first thing in the morning or after his bath.
I also read what you wrote in the April Baby Buddies, and come to think of it, maybe it's coz Charlie's in our room, that whenever he cries at night, I'm up before he gets a chance to maybe settle back down to sleep. Mind you, I sleep like the dead, so he's got to be really crying for me to wake in the first place...
I also got a call from my sister this morning, saying a friend of hers in due to have a baby boy in a couple of months, and was I interested in handing down Charlie's clothes? I have really mixed feelings about this, funnily enough. I don't know if I'm quite ready to give his clothes away knowing that we might have a chance, however slim, of another child in the future. But of course I can't say this to my sister, as I certainly won't be letting my family know about our plans for Dec. Am I being silly, should I just hand them over?
PS Mel and Amy have been MIA for ages!
-
Shell - that would make you  - they take enough money off us as it is HF - I was told they keep a log of all calls on your HF number. They want us to be private but they rip people off. Thanks for the warning - sorry they did this to you.
Skye - I hope it all goes well for you ... if they had concerns I think they would have had your OB call you back for another scan asap. I think the skin fold is more relevant only at 11-13 wk scan too.Later they don't do it.
Sushee - hope Charlie is okay and he will look gorgeous no matter what.
I have started getting dry retching again I think more when I haven't eaten - had it a few mornings ago , then this morning after breakfast when we came to work and started to cough and 'V' only a bit , then more dry retching before lunch.Ate cheese & Jatz, then had my roll now munching on choc carmello eggs.
-
Sush - I think you should definately keep the clothes. I'm in the same boat, my GF had a boy 2 months ago and I had the opportunity to give her DS's clothes. I didn't and let her think I'm having another boy. By giving them away you're saying "that's it" and you sound far from reaching that decision. Who knows what will happen 2 years down the track - you may be itching to jump on that dreaded IVF rollarcoaster again - our brains quickly forget all the yucky stuff, especially when you end up with such a wonderful result.
Trish - sorry to hear you've been feeling yuckky again. I eat constantly ALL day so my stomach is never empty - works for me :) . Congrats on the big 30 too honey!!!!
Ness - I hope you don't catch the bug - NO kissing DH Lol! Try to rest.
Sheree - haven't heard from you in a while, hope you're travelling along nicely.
Skye - not long till scan - try not to worry - again I know this is asking the impossible but take it easy.
-
Sushee - your decision but I would keep them and you could say a very good friend of yours is also expecting and you are saving them for her ... gets you out of a sticky situation and you never know it could be a dream come true another little babe from your embryo.
Mel - is going well ...I had snail mail (+) from her and Dh has the parts to fix their computer now so she should be back on line soon. Willmartin is doing fabulously. She is missing everyone. I was planning to call her today but got sidetracked at work.
-
Hi girls:hello:
How is everyone??? I have been ok. Still very tired.. having hypo's if I don't eat every 2 hours.
Trish firstly yay on 30 weeks!! Yuck about the dry reaching hope it settles soon...
You aske dmy the other day when my 12wk scan is.. I am actually still undecided as to whether or not I want the NF testing, obviously I want to see Tiny again but I don't think I want the calculations and I don't know if I can have one without the other. My next OB appt is 8/6/06 which will be 10wks6d and he said we would discuss scans then...
Shell gggrrr at PHF!! I get really annoyed at the runaround the give you And BTW thanx you reminded me I haven't padi my anesthetist the gap from my EPU!!!
Love and Hugs too all.. We need some new recruits I'm going to be very lonely soon!!!
-
Hi everyone
It seems I constantly start off my posts with the same apology for not being in for a while, and yet again........Sorry
Trish - Congrats on the 30 weeks!!!!!!! What a pain in the backside getting sick again, I hope it's just a passing thing for you xx
Sushee- Charlie will look absolutely adorable with or without a few spots, i guess it's just one of those things. I do remember when DD got a few spots I was stressing, but hey, what can you do??
Shell - That is a huge out of pocket........... I have been wondering what ours will be and made a few enquiries but can never seem to get a straight answer.
Shez - I actually opted not to have the Nuchal scan, just for the fact that even if the odds were high of having abnormality, I wouldn't have risked having an amnio, so my dr advised against having it. Of course it's up to the individual but this was just what I felt.
Sheree - How are you going? Flying along now!!!
I have just got back from the city yet again. I had an appointment with a diabetes specialist.........unfortunately my levels have been all over the place, so she has given me some insulin and I'm on standby at the moment, keeping in contact by phone.
I also went to see my ob and due to the diabetes he has moved my c/s date closer.........9th of June.........OMG, only 16 sleeps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway, gotta go & pick up DD & her friend from school & take them to basketball.
Hope everyone is really well & I'll try to be back soon.
Love

Ali - to hear from you - wow 16 days - goodluck -can't wait to hear your news - have you got someone to post for you.
How soon after the birth of bub does GD settle down ? Is your bub a good size ? - guess you will 38wks but then so that is fullterm anyway.
-
Trish - I've been told that the GD settles down pretty much as soon as bubs is born..... they will however have to monitor bubs glucose levels as they can become very low.
I have another scan on Friday to see just how big this bub really is, my ob seems to think it's pretty big, but who knows hey, just have to wait & see.
I'm off to bed now, very early I know, but I have not been getting a good night sleep for months now. I am up every hour & a 1/4 to go to the toilet and find it very hard to get to sleep. DD is hopping in bed with me too and DH will pop her into her bed when he comes to bed.
Must go now, hope everyone is really well & I'll chat soon.
Love
Alicia
-
Ali, the 14th of June is Zaki's birthday too. So close now, I'm so excited for you! Eek about the GD though.
Trish, so close for you now too! I can't wait to see all these new bubbas. Though a little sad at how quickly this thread is emptying and no one new has come over recently, bar lovely Shez. I keep  for new grads.
As for me, I got 8 and a 1/2 hours of sleep last night and only had to get up to Charlie once! Yay! He had his first big sleep from 10pm to 3.30am, then coz it was so cold, I fed him and took him into bed with us, and he slept for another 3 hours. Would have been more I reckon if I didn't have to wake him up to drop DH off at work.
I feel so refreshed!
-
Sushee - Great Sleep!!!!!!!! Do you feel good for it?? It makes it soooo much easier to function during the day if you manage to get a decent night sleep. Re the 14th, they have now changed it to the 9th!!!! My b'day is on the 12th so I'm obviously in good co. with Zaki just a couple of days later. Are you all organised for the christening??
My DD has her first communion on the 10/6 which is a bit sad as I will obviously be in hospital and not able to go. She doesn't seem to mind at all though, she's just sooo excited about having a new brother or sister. She has both sets of Grandparents lined up to go, so it won't be a lonely affair.
Alicia xx
-
Sushee & Ali, snap!!! The 14th of June is my big twins' birthday...they are turning 10
-
I had another u/s today and boys are well - T1 is approx. 1920gm and T2 1415g so he is a lot littler but still in normal range. Both are still breech and I am measuring 43weeks  . They will book my c/s after next app. in two weeks for either 37wks Tuesday 11th July or 38wks 18th July - I told OB I prefer 37wks - he said maybe especially if little twin is still not growing as fast.
He also said I can be awake - spinal and that twins usually get a single room - because no one wants to share with them Still he said I might go earlier but for their sake 37 wks is fine by me - I have waited a long time for them another 6wk5days is no worries. He said though if I went into labour now they wouldn't stop it  but they were better off in for a few more weeks.
I haven't *touches wood* yet had any swelling. I am very tired by nighttime and I have a wicked back ache but not too painful. Just starting to get heartburn/reflux again I think.
-
Oh Trish!
That is all good news!
I'm so happy for you, can't wait to meet these little guys.
Good sizes too, for 30week twinnies! Keep eating! 43 weeks!!!! Did your doc discuss steroids? With a measurement like that, he might be right, you might meet them earlier!!! You must be all belly!!
Hugs to you and your precious boys.
-
Trish, *wow* and *yay* all at once for you! How exciting. let's hope your boys are much more comfy in your 43w belly than coming into the world for a while yet :crossfingers:
-
Trish - wow you're doing so well honey!!!! Your little guys are roaring along aren't they? Are you having trouble getting your knickers on yet? I remember just before my sister had her 4.5kg baby she had to get her DH to dress her in the morning as her belly was enormous. You must have a good ledge to rest your cuppa on now. Give those boys a little pat for me and put your feet up.
-
Sal - so do I - at least another 4-5wks anyway - he told me a few weeks ago 34wks was good to get to.
Justine - yay for 30weeks for you too - LOL - I can almost rest a small dinner plate (and I do sometimes) on my ledge -pretty much all out the front. Though I still have people say I don't look that big.
DH has helped me a few times but we have 4 poster bed with a good rail I lean on most of time.
Tiff - no - not yet but the registrar was one who measured me -then Prof came in at the end.
-
Ohh how exciting Trish! Can't believe your little guys will be here in less than 2 months. It will be so lonely here without you, please promise that between bouncing bubbas on your knee you will check up on us waddlers in here :bellyrubs:
