    Hi Mummies to be,
YAY I have never been first on a thread before

LM, yes I feed them tandem, I wake them at the same time during the day, or if one wakes during the night I wake the other, it is working well so far, but is a little crazy.

Re sheets, I have both girls in the same cot, I have been changing the sheets once a week, I put a folded nappy under their heads to catch any little dribbles, and have only had one nappy overflow in 3 weeks, so I haven't found the need to change the actual cot sheet any more regularly.

Also while I am at it,just a few comments about hospital and what is needed that might be helpful. Make sure you have plenty of onesie suits and singlets, I was going through at least 3 a day per baby, especially because Aria was vomiting at each feed. Same goes for flannelette wraps. Otherwise you will be sending home washing every day.

Re what to wear, I bought a few nanna nighties which I wore each night, with buttons down the front for easy access. During the day I just wore trackies and a singlet top, again for easy access. I only wore a cardigan once, even though the room was cold, I think I was still on pregnancy body heat. I didn't really wear mat bras. I did take a warm robe, which I pretty much only wore at night to go between the nursery and also to get hot chocolate from the kitchen. And slippers were a must, though I did see quite a few mums walking around in bare feet .

And re nanna undies, I had bought a few large pairs from Best and Less, and did not end up using them, even though they were high waisted, they were still not high enough to avoid the band going near my C-section scar. I ended up wearing boy leg hipster undies which had the band below the scar. Make sure you have both extra large and smaller sanitary pads, after a day or two my bleeding really eased off, and it help to have normal sanitary pads rather than the mega large maternity pads, otherwise you will feel like you are wearing your own nappy.

If you want to breast feed, make sure you use the midwives as much as you need, I even went so far as to have the midwives express colostrum for me, as they had a better technique. My milk came in the morning of the 4th day, I was hand expressing and then using the electric pump pretty much every three hours from birth. And call them every time you feed to make sure you are getting the attachment right.

    Hope this helps some.

And my only other comment is 'please enjoy', looking back now I can't believe how quick it went, sometimes I miss my belly so much, and even though I had a hard last couple of weeks, I would go back and do it all again in a second. In fact I almost can't wait to try for #3.

Lots of love to all, xx

    Heya!

Just wanted to say hi to you and let you know I'm thinking of you all. Good luck to everyone with scans this week, I have mine on Thurs - can't wait!

In further news, DH got sacked today. There's been some bad politics going on at his work for a while, and the company have been doing some bad, somewhat illegal OH&S practices and he was recently called to give witness against them so we kinda expected his head was on the chopping block and it was only a matter of time. Funny though they used his own evidence against him in the end. Never mind, looks like he may have another job lined up, pending a medical on Thurs. Crazy part is he was so miSerable there he's been walking around grinning all afternoon! Crappy timing but hey, things happen for a reason right?

Anyway on the brighter side, 35 weeks today WOOHOO!!!! it really could be any day now hey! Can't wait to hold my precious bundle in my arms!

Wishing you all sweet dreams, I'm off to bed nighty night!

Hey everyone!!! How are you all?

I have a real thing about posting until I get past each milestone - could be a bit of superstition who knows??? But today I'm breaking the pattern.

BDT - such a fountain of knowledge. I need to get my notebook out. Once I get past tomorrow's 6.5 week scan I will def call you.

Emerald Star and Miss K - congrats and welcome. Us 3 must be all around the same time - late October, early November?

Hello London Miss and Kyra wolfe.

BOC - not far off experiencing a truly magical moment in your life. Wow, I hope mine goes quickly!!!

WB2 - I can't wait to see what it feels like to have movement in my belly. Something that I didn't think I would ever experience.

AFM - yep, 6.5 week scan tomorrow. I just need to see that sac and hear a heartbeat and I will feel happy. I felt quite nauseous and dizzy last week. This week, not so much. But the sore BB's aint going anywhere. Hurts when DH hugs me!!! Been researching OB's and hospitals. Gosh it gets so confusing. And thanks to Rudd nothing is cheap anymore when it comes to baby's (esp IVF and CS)!!!

just looking at modern cloth nappies.. We used the terry towel square ones and old style plastic pilchers with snappy nappys for our son and it was good but alot of time went to folding them up and we still had to buy liners for them they were bulky and a lil hard to work with so Im lookin at something a lil more this centurey for bub#2

So Ive been looking at peapods.com.au and baby BeeHinds.com.au
looks like we're lookin at about 20 bucks a nappy! eep.. I dunno bout the baby beehinds cuz they seem to come in all bits and peices seperatly and the website was a bit weird to look at but I loved the look of the pea pods.. But man 20 bucks a nappy then 5 bucks for the overnight inserts.. Im guessing me and hubby are gonna have to collect them overtime and now I wish Id started earlier LOL

They do look fantastic tho I must admit... I very much want them... hahaha

anyway my que is has anyone else been looking around and found any other good websites I could take a look at? And anyone got any advice for me lol..

    thanx <3 Ky
