laridoz - I know its hard but try and enjoy every moment and don't listen too much about other people because every prgnancy is different and you will experience different things.
Just a quick one from me have been in hospital getting fluids have had a rough couple of days!! Feeling ok now have been given maxalon and panadine for migraines. Was a bit hesitant about the panadine but have been reassured it is perfectly safe. Feel so bad when sick that it is hurting bub but like they say it is hurting them more if i'm not eating or drinking. Have a lovely weekend all!!!
-
Sorry to hear that you ended up in hospital Renee! poor thing! But hopefully bub got what it needed.
Lise??? Am hoping everything ended up moving along for you and those cramps turned into contractions.
I have our tour of the maternity ward and rooms tomorrow, at Nth West, and have secured my spot for the antenatal classes in October! One more thing I can cross off the list :-)
Have a nice relaxing weekend ladies, and take care.
Chrissy

Thanks for your thoughts ladies, am still here!! OB appointment today, everything the same though she said the baby has moved down into my pelvis a bit more. Left feeling very depressed and wanting to cry...
BUT - think I am having the bloody show! Went to the toilet before and there is pink on my pad and on the toilet paper. It's not thick enough for blood and doesn't look like mucous but assuming that's what it is though not sure if I should ring the midwives to confirm??? Have some cramping but nothing different from before.
Will keep you posted :)
-
ewwww Lise!!! ha ha! hope it is the show and then you wont have long to go!! yay!
-
Well now I'm not so sure.. There's been nothing else and cramps have stopped so am wondering if I just imagined a pink tinge to make myself feel better??? *big sigh* back to impatient waiting :crying:
-
Hello all. Lise - I don't think you could imagine pinkness (even if you were hoping for it) so it sounds like it might be to me. That sounds like better concrete evidence to me than the cramps which seem a bit like they drag on to me. I'd ring the midwife if you aren't sure.
I've set up a facebook note answering the following: how are you/ how is the baby/ any doc news as I'm already sick of answering the question ninety million times a day and its only going to get worse. I'm v tempted to chuck all the phones in port phillip bay
I'm going to Singalong Sound of Music tonight, hoping that will kickstart some contractions :D

Hi Ladies,
Sorry I've been MIA for a few weeks. I've been reading this thread every couple of days, but have had MS from mid-afternoon through the evening, which is the only time I have to check BB lately (work has gotten very busy the past month or so), and so by the time I'm done reading, I just haven't had the energy to post. Luckily I feel OK in the morning, so I'm able to seem "normal" at work, esp. since it doesn't get really bad till dinner time. Just to fill you in, I had my 8 week scan 2 weeks ago and all looked good, so things seem to be progressing apace. Looking forward to the 12-week scan in a week and a half, although I suppose I should be getting nervous about the Down syndrome check, considering my age (38).
I am thinking of all you you. I'm probably too far behind to do full personals, but here are a few thoughts:
Lise, I hope your bub comes soon!
LondonMiss, it looks like you're getting close there, too.
Brunette, I'm so happy to hear that things are now going well after all of your scares. Enjoy being able to move around again!
Renee, so sorry to hear your MS is continuing and that you even ended up in hospital because of it.
Maggie, so sorry to hear of your continuing MS, too. I hope the medication works. Hearing about your and Renee's experience, I really can't complain about only having MS in the second half of the day. Plus, I'm only nauseous, not puking.
Lairdoz, welcome and a big congratulations for you that it worked this month! I'm so happy for you. Don't worry about that stupid comment in the belly buddies thread; with your sky-high HCG levels, it sounds like your pregnancy must be supremely healthy.
Leabie and Glenny - good luck with your scans next week. Glenny, I hope all goes well so you can start telling people. My DH and I decided to start telling family after our 8 week scan, but ended up waiting till last week (9 weeks) b/c my SIL had a baby the day after my 8-week scan and I didn't want to intrude on her being the center of attention (she deserves it after having a M/C last year). It's been fun telling family, but we're not going to tell anyone else until after our 12-week scan, which is a week from next Wednesday.
Hi to everyone I've missed!

Ladies - it's time!! Drum roll please. I've been back through 23 pages and this is what I've gleaned but there will be loads of mistakes, so please make changes, I'll delete this list and post a correct one here. Anyone heard from Seph? It's saturday and there's chocolate and marmalade cake in the oven. Happy days :D
[deleted - see page 4 for the new list]
-
LondonMiss - I saw on another thread that Seph had her boy, Archie.
Spoke to midwife about the pinkness but all she said was keep an eye on it and let them know if anything changes. So could still be here forever :wall: oh well, good to know it's nothing bad.
Ladies - I am thinking of everyone but no energy to post properly sorry! Just don't think badly of me until you're at this end stuck with a useless brain... :)
hugs and belly rubs to all xx

Hi all, just wanted to pop in and say Mrs Slyder had two girls, names i believe are private so not to add to the list but two very beautiful healthy girls be it that they arrives early! xx
still baking here, welcome to all the new ladies and congratulation on your wonderful news, it still makes me ask myself 'is this really happening?'
Not long now for some of the ladies in here and i wish you all the very best with positive labour stories to read. Im very scared myself! lol
Im also still worried about my fluid levels and my OB is away for 4 weeks and i am not seeing anyone until he is back, only another three weeks to go!
Ive had my fair few scares alonng the way with this pg but im sure you all understand that.
xx

Hello Ladies, I hope you are all having a lovely weekend! So 39 weeks today… I can’t believe we are going to have a baby soon! I have had another busy week, I managed to catch up on a few things at home and a little bit of shopping. I also did the world’s biggest grocery shop and a bit cooking so I know have very full cupboards and the spare freezer is half full of frozen meals.
DH and I went out to dinner last night to celebrate our anniversary a little early. It was so nice to spend some time one on one and knowing that it will probably be our last date night for quiet a while. I even treated myself to half a glass of wine….. I figure it can’t do much at this late stage…. Just hopefully relax mummy so baby wants to come play!
Lise – good luck over the next couple of days. I hope your little man doesn’t keep you waiting too much longer. Looking fwd to hearing your news.
LondonMiss – Thanks for sharing your video… it makes me feel impatient and I cant wait till that first moment when I get to hold my little one. Also, can you please update my due date to the 3rd July.
Laridoz – Welcome and congratulations. I think all us long termers get a little more anxious about things. Try not to worry about what other people say or think, everyone’s pregnancy is different. I found that with each scan I relaxed into the pregnancy more, plus when you start to feel kicks about half way it’s always a lovely little reassurance. I hope you can enjoy your pregnancy a little more with each passing week.
Gleeny_C – sorry to read about the ladies in your belle buddies group who have had early losses. Unfortunately it will always happen but you can only try and stay positive for yourself. Good luck with your scan – no doubt everything will be fine and you will feel more reassured with every passing week.
Leabie – Good luck with your scan next week and enjoy telling the world your news. It is such an amazing time when you finally get to tell and be really excited about things.
CK77 - we had a similar experience with our first OB appointment. After waiting for an hour while he was off doing an emergency c-section we were rushed through and pushed out the door…. although we were charged $180 for the privilege - $70 sounds cheap! We ended up deciding to go public but a lot of my friends have had similar experiences and said not to worry it is actually a good thing as it means everything is on track with no dramas to worry about.
Paula – Glad to hear the GCC results came back ok. I hated that test the drink was so yuk!
Ok that’s enough personals for today – belly rubs to those who I have missed xo
-
Evening ladies
It has been a long time since I've posted, so I'm not even going to attempt personals as there is just too much to catch up on. Although I will say a huge congratulations to all the new girls in here. I recognise some of your names from the LTTTC thread, but I wanted to say a special hi to Juniper. I remember following your TTC journey, and I am so happy for you that you finally have your long awaited pregnancy.
Well I will be 36 weeks on Monday, and I can't believe how quickly the time is ticking by. I finished work about 3 weeks ago (doctor's orders), as I was diagnosed with grade 3 placenta praevia, where the placenta is completely covering my cervix (there are 4 grades, with 4 being the worst, so I have one of the more severe cases). OB was concerned about the risk of bleeding so he said I had to finish work early. It also means I have to have a c-section, and at this stage, the date is booked in for 19th July.... assuming nothing happens early. As a result, I have been trying to get everything organised at home, and finish some last minute shopping.
LondonMiss - Not long to go for you either. Could you please update the list to say that I'm having a boy. Technically my due date is still 26th July, so I'm happy for that to remain the same.
Lise - I have been keeping a close eye on this thread, to keep updated on your progress. Fingers crossed that things start to happen for you soon. I am starting to get quite uncomfortable now, so I can only imagine how you must be feeling.
Mitf - how are you? Am keeping a close eye on you too. Hope you are travelling along ok. A glass (or half a glass) of wine sounds nice. I haven't been able to bring myself to drink this whole pregnancy, and I figure I'm so close to the end now, so I'll just hold out.
Hi to all the other lovely ladies in here, and I hope everyone has a great weekend.
Wishes xoxo
-
great job with the list LM ,good on ya hun thank you.
-
Hi ladies,
sitting here trying not to get too excited again only to have my hopes dashed - (apologies if TMI ahead!) - but i've just been to the toilet and there's more pink/blood on the toilet paper and pad so am hoping things might finally be starting to happen... This time there's actually blood rather than just pink stains so if it continues like that i'll give the midwives another call and see what they say. Needless to say i'm sitting here on edge just trying to wait a decent amount of time before checking again, and I was just about to have a bath but thought i'd wait to see what happens in case the bath made everything stop. So not logical I know, sometimes I embarrass myself and wonder how I completed a science degree with this kind of logic
Hope everyone is enjoying what's left of the weekend,
lise xx
-
oh my - that definitely sounds promising!!! Very very very very best of luck in case you don't come back online until you have a baby :D I hope it all goes according to plan. Have you eaten? good luck sweetie xx
-
And now it's all stopped again, argh :wall: Okay, I'm just going to shut up now and wait until I actually have proper exciting news to share!!
-
Go and do something spectacularly boring like reorganise your freezer and put it all in order. Distraction might help?
-
Trouble is my house is pretty tidy and organised so not sure what to do??? I'm just obsessed with symptoms and/or lack of them and can't focus on anything else!!! Hmmm, I guess there's the linen cupboard - question is, how much do I want to be distracted?!
-
dammit, wish you were in Melbourne then cos you could come to mine ;) there must be something you can reorganise or alphabetise?? Make a cake....? Nothing at all since earlier?
-
Good Luck Lise! A number of my friends who have had babies recently have woken up in the middle of the night in labour. Try to rest and get your strength up.... can't be long now!! Looking forward to hearing your news. x
-
Nope, nothing at all.
My mum said when she had my younger sister that for two weeks before the birth she was up most nights with cramping and contractions which would stop in the morning, and I think i'm going to have to resign myself to the fact that I might be the same...
:protest:
There aren't enough pictures like this to express my mood at the moment - you'll have to excuse me ladies if i'm a little absent (not that i'm adding anything at all to this at the moment anyway!).
belly rubs to all xx
-
Lise - oh god, you poor thing - how extremely frustrating. Thinking of you, can't add anything helpful :shakehead:
LondonMiss - you're a champ for doing that list! Can you put me down for 11.1.11 as my due date (love the single digit dates - DH and I got married on 08.08.08!) We're not going to find out what it is.
Lairdoz - hope the days fly by until your first scan, you'll be fine sweetie.
Glenny - GL for your scan on Thursday! Getting close now. I too am hanging out to get reassurance that the bub is actually still in there!
Renee - thats terrible that MS has ended up with you in hospital, you poor darling. Hope you're feeling better now with the Maxolon and Panadeine on board.
Maggie - sorry to hear about your terrible MS too, hope you're managing OK.
Kitkat72 - hope you're doing OK. Not long til the scan, I too have been rather nervous about it (I'm 36), but I'm sure we'll both be fine!
Mitf - not long to go now! You sound very organised. Dinner with DH sounded lovely, you're right - you probably will be a little busy for a while!
Wishes - hope you're taking it easy, and little baby Charlie will stay nice and snug til you're ready for your c-section.
CK77, Paula, Juniper, Loula - :hello: Hope you're all doing great. Bellyrubs to you and anyone I may have missed... sorry if I have!
AFM - had my blood test today for the nuchal scan on Wednesday, not too long to wait now. Feeling a bit more calm about it, just gotta wait and see I guess. Having terrible sinus issues for the last couple of weeks, plus I've developed a sore patch on my belly, right next to my belly button - weird?! Hopefully its everything just stretching. On a brighter note, my MS seems to have suddenly stopped a couple of days ago! Now I have to really watch what I eat, I've lost my excuse to eat whatever I want!
Have a good week everyone.
-
Lise - I hope that it happens for you real soon luv. Good Luck with it all if we don't see you on here for a while!!!!

Hi ladies, I've been MIA and there's lots of persies to catch up on so will do my best.
CK, Let me know how the tour of the hospital maternity ward goes. I'm thinking of doing the same in a couple of weeks time when my DH is free and in town. I think I posted earlier that the new maternity ward/wing is supposed to be finished in December. (I hope I can hang on till then!) It's good that you've booked your antenatal classes.
Renee, sorry to hear that you ended up in hospital due to your MS. Hope you're feeling better now.
Lise, how are you? Any news? Can't be long to wait now.
Leabie, Glenny and KitKat, good luck for your nuchal scans. I am sure you won't need it, though. The scan images are amazing. They certainly blew me away.
Lairdoz, when is your first scan? I am sure everything will be fine. Let us know if you are having twins!
Wishes, I've read about placenta praevia (not sure about the spelling). Working up to 36 weeks is no mean feat. Well done.
MITF, Not long to go now. You must be getting very excited. A half glass of wine won't hurt the baby.
Loula, what's the news with your fluid levels? Are you referring to amniotic sac levels or something else? Hope everything is okay.
Hi to all the other ladies I have missed. I can't go back any further in this thread to see your posts.
AFM, everything seems to be going well. I went back to work two days last week, and this week will be the same. I keep getting these cramps/pains in my lower abdomen. I do hope they are growing pains. When I sneeze/cough I get them, too. Sooo hard to know when it's your first PG what to expect and what to worry about or not worry about, especially with the start I had to this PG. Hope it's not TMI but my boobs are really sore and have been throughout the PG. I've had to purchase a maternity bra already. I am starting to show already. Feel very self-conscious about the bump as I feel fat rather than PG! Plus I have told people at work and feel like everyone's looking at my stomach. There is no privacy about being PG, is there? Not seeing my FS until 22 July, which will be over a month since my last appointment. Good news that everything is going well but I do like the reassurance of regular scans :)

London Miss~ I m soooo sorry to do this to you after you have done an amazing job at the list but can you put me down for 23rd July as i am having a c section which is 2 weeks earlier.Thankyou.
Wishes~ Best of luck with your c section.Im having another one.Cant say im looking forward to the pain of it again but knowing i get 2 weeks off and the baby is safer, makes it worth while.(My bub is breech)..PLUS i had troubles with my sons birth and had emergency c section. How many weeks will you be when you deliver?
Lise~ I agree with London miss...find a distraction. For 2 days i have cleaned, decorated and organised the nursery and washed all the babies clothes, sheets and blankets.Im sure you have done yours already but there must be something you can do.The mucus plug sounds very promising.Mine didnt come out til i was in labour with my son,so yours is a good sign.
Congrats to all the newbies again.Hope your scans, apps etc go well for you all.
As for me,im just hanging around.Have had mine and DH's bdays in the past 2 weeks so ive been shopping heaps and having lunch dates etc.
My belly is sooooo low and people stare at me which gives me the sh##s and they comment.."gee you look like your going to have it now"..or worse...your belly looks soooo odd/weird!!
I carried low with my son too so for me its normal but peoples comments are so irritating right now. Nothing fits me anymore and with 24 days to go im not going to buy anthing else.
Bub is moving around like crazy.I can actually see leg bones,hands,feet...it scares my son.Its so funny.Yesterday she pushed something right out so my belly button was a big round ball like a golf ball.Fun to watch but kinda uncomfortable with the stretching..LOL
Well my eyes are stinging staring at the screen and didnt sleep lastnight (nothing unusual) so am going to get the cat and have a nap in the sun on my bed....maybe with a handful of redskins too.
Take care.x
-
Leabie - Thanks for the thoughts. I'm hoping the baby stays in there until the 19th too, because right now, I don't feel ready. I'm not quite organised at home yet (and I'm a bit obsessive compulsive about being organised), so I need him to hang on a little longer.
LondonMiss - Great job on the list hun. Hope you too are enjoying some relaxation at home before bub arrives.
Brunette - I actually finished work at 33 weeks (not 36), but that was enough to be honest. I'm glad I don't have to be at work anymore... it's so much harder getting around these days. You should take it easy yourself actually - you certainly have had a tough time with the start of this pregnancy. I'm glad everything is going ok though.
WantBaby#2 - I will be 39 weeks for my scheduled c-section. Your comments about pain have got me a little worried though. I really have no idea what to expect after the surgery and how I'm going to feel. I really hope it's not too bad, although I do realise it is major surgery. How bad was your recovery with your first child?
Lise – how are you? I’m hoping that no news is good news.
AFM - not much to report really. I did a bit more shopping today, and thankfully I think I'm pretty much done (geez, I hope so.... I'm so sick of spending money right now). Then I am planning a fairly low-key time for the rest of this week, getting the nursery finalised etc. I am hoping to finally have everything done by the end of this week, so I can finally relax, sit on the couch and watch tv for the last few weeks. Here's hoping anyway.
Wishes xoxo
-
Renee sorry to hear you were in hospital, hope your feeling better.
mitf great idea on having some time alone with DH as it wont be long now till bub arrives!!
leabie great news on the MS and also the fact that your feeling more calm.
LondonMiss fantastic job on the list. It is quite large atm which is wonderful to see. I just noticed that im the only one that has a name for bub!
Brunette you are 14 weeks pregnant so its totally normal to have the belly showing but i hear you on the feeling fat and not pregnant stage. Can get a bit awkward but it doesnt matter, you know its a preggy belly so embrace it as it is beautiful!
wantbaby#2 24 days to go wow!! As for the belly comments i am getting them too. From "You are HUGE" to "Gee your carrying quite low so i dont think you will make it another 6 weeks". But i try not to take it too personally. I have wanted this baby for too long to worry about my body and my belly!
My dear lise.. What can i say except i am thinking of you and cant wait to hear your news. I have everything crossed that something will happen for you really soon. I am always checking your FB page in the hope that you haven't posted in a while meaning that you may just be off in labour. Have you organised for someone to post a quickie announcement on here or on FB to let us all know how you go?
Not much to report from me. I think Tiana has changed positions as overnight i seem to have popped out even more. But im loving feeling her move around and love poking her back. Its so cute!
-
Oh ladies, you do know when you say nice thngs to me while I'm in this emotional state that I get a bit teary?!
Still here and still having all the same signs- pink mucous (though only trace amounts each time) and lots of cramping. OB appointment on Friday and I really don't think I'll go before then. We'll talk induction dates/processes I guess then.
SO, my latest plan is to preempt the OB and make an appointment with my acupuncturist on Friday afternoon for an induction session and see how that goes... Am hoping that with a planned induction or two (one natural, one medical) I'll go into labour before I need them. And if not, well I guess I'll have some dates at least.
Hope you are all going well, am on my phone as DH is hogging the computer so too hard to do persies tonight.
Thinking of everyone though and belly rubs to all xx
-
Wishes~ Im having my c section at 38 weeks.Regarding the pain of a c section,i wont lie..it did hurt.I wish i could sugar coat it but for ME it was very painful.Id rather be honest so you can prepare yourself but Most likely you will find its not that bad for you.Everyone's pain threshold is very different. The pain didnt last longer than say 3 days though,if that helps.I hope no one gets mad at me for saying how i felt about mine.Like you said..its major surgery,so you need to expect some pain.Keep in mind however, mine was an emergency after 28 hours of labour so i too was VERY run down, tired etc.Im hoping that with this one being elective,i can prepare by resting before hand.Im sure an elective is much less traumatic on the body than what i went through with my son. I also have friends that have had 2 each and didnt think it was too bad,so everyone is different.Mine, this time,is also elective.I chose this before finding bub was breech as i dont want to risk another "Trial of labour" as done before. So for me its definately a safer option than the pain of it.xx

Morning all and I come to you live from the BRAND NEW LAPTOP!!! So excited it's possible I might pop :D
Hopefully I've made the amendments now, but do let me know if you have changes. Its fascinating that there are so many clusters, it's not randomly spaced out is it....?
Now, I've forgotten who was talking about stretching pains. I was given a useful analogy: your uterus is like a hot air balloon that all its life has basically sat on the floor (lazy thing) and all of a sudden its swelling up. And the ropes (well ligaments) that hold it in place are being stretched to tautness for the first time and they are just whinging about having to do some actual work for the first time. So think of it not as anything bad or painful, just an exercise in Uterine Work Place relations ;) it's only going to get worse so they'll just have to stretch and frankly, suck it up!!!
Lovely Lise, I have an image of you in Canberra eating pineapple whilst getting prodded with needles, having conjugals with the husband, twizzling your nipples and eating curry and any other labour inducing ideas you might have heard. Which might be a bit sticky admittedly if you tried it all at once. Perhaps gel is the answer ..... after my singsong the other day, I think Abba Gold, followed by a couple of soundtracks is the best place to start
Have lovely days ladies, and sorry for the lack of personals. After so long off the laptop, I'd better go and do all the practical boring stuff, coles online order, check bank balance, organise a package to be delivered etc as well as sit here on BB all day ;)
-
Morning Ladies,
Lise – I hope things some action started for you last night and you will be sharing the good news soon. xo
Leabie – I am not that organised. A number of ladies in my due date group have gone early and I had a mild stress last night. Decided I need to stop procrastinating and get on to finishing a few chores today!
Brunette – Glad to hear that everything is going well and you are managing a couple of days back at work. I had similar tummy pains early on in my pregnancy. It is just your uterus and inner tummy muscles stretching…. with two precious bundles you must be stretching at a quicker rate too! Unfortunately the belly starring won’t stop either. The bigger you get the more people stare. Every time I go to the shops people have a good old gawk…. I think they are just curious and have nothing better to do. I just try and ignore them.
Wishes – I hope you are well and managing time to relax before the bub comes. Sounds like you are getting really organised and have done a lot of shopping. I feel like we have more shopping to do but it is hard not knowing what we are having… we have bought barely any clothes. We have enough onesies for a few weeks and will wait and see what clothes and things family give us when bubs is born and then head out on a little shopping spree once we have recuperated.
Paula – I have loved the new movements and poking in these last few months. Have you experienced the hiccups yet? That is a truly weird but amazing and lovely experience all at the same time.
LondonMiss – yeah or the new laptop. Nothing like a new toy to play with! Also I love your hot air balloon analogy…. Great way to explain what’s going on down there.
AFM – I am wishing I had a crystal ball right about now….. it would be so nice to know what day this baby is going to come so I can plan for it. I have a feeling it won’t be long… but how long – a day, or 3, or a week…. The suspense is killing me. I have been having a lot of Braxton hicks and period like cramps from my cervix starting to stretch over the last few weeks… so I guess at least I know my body is starting to get ready – although every time it happens lately it makes me think is this it…… although I haven’t lost any of my plug yet.
It is so hard to plan for anything at the moment. People keep asking me to do lunch or things before bub arrives and the standard response is sure… as long as I am not having a baby that day! My next midwife appointment is Friday so I guess I will find out more then…. In the mean time I need to get onto finalising the bubs room and packing the babies bag…
Big hello and belly rubs to everyone else xo
-
Mitf - hope the chores are going along smoothly, it would be good to feel as organised as possible, I imagine - hopefully I'll be organised when the time comes!
Brunette - I've been having those weird pains too, they freaked me out at first, good to hear they're just part of the process. I actually thought the remaining cysts on my ovaries might've been causing it, but found out today the cysts are gone. As for feeling self-conscious about your tummy, people are a bit insensitive / have no clue sometimes, do they? I hope they get over it soon, and leave you be.
LondonMiss - so very exciting about your new laptop! Which brand did you get? Thanks for the hot air balloon analogy! Loved it.
Lise - do you have to wait til Friday to see the acupuncturist?! Hopefully you won't make it to the next OB appointment, but if you do, fingers crossed he'll get the ball rolling, so to speak!
Paula - good to hear that wriggly Tiana is letting you know she's there! So looking forward to actually feeling the baby move, instead of hanging out for each ultrasound.
Wishes - hope the organisation is coming along nicely. That sounds like a great plan, watching telly for the last couple of weeks - nice and relaxing.
Wantbaby2 - can't believe that people say things like that to you about your belly. Its probably a bit rude to punch them in the head, isn't it? That's what I'd feel like doing though ;)
Loula, CK77, KitKat, Renee, glenny_c , Lairdoz, Juniper and everyone I've missed - hello! :hello: Hope you're all well and happy.
AFM - I'm on cloud 9 today, just had our nuchal scan (its always so lovely to see the baby, and see its still there!), and the doc just rang with results - our risk dropped from 1:199 to 1:2700! So excited, I would've been happy with 1:400... DH and I were blown away seeing the bub wriggle around and wave at us, it was magical. Size is still bang on target too, just one big relief, really! Happy days. Now we can REALLY start telling people!

Leabie~ CONGRATS on the results.Thats wonderful news.Enjoy sharing your news. Its so much fun telling people.
Re:my tummy comments..yes my husband has the same idea as you...to hit people who are rude.Haha.My mum suggested i get a tshirt made with the 'bird' on it..and not the chirping type of bird..LOL.She notices the stares when we are shopping together and gets annoyed too.
Mitf~ The braxton hicks hurt.I dont know why books say they are painless because mine have always felt like period cramps. My mum said when she was having my brother and i,that she thought they hurt too. Mine have been getting more frequent and more uncomfortable over the past 3-4 weeks. As long as they dont mean anything more as i am quite happy waiting for my c section in 3 weeks.Im prepared for 23rd July...any earlier,id freak! Hoping to hear baby news from you soon.x

Commenting on their non pregnant bellies works for me, soon shuts them up. Don't see why parts of my body are fair game for totally unqualified and judgemental discussion and not theirs.

Thanks for the explanation on the stretching, Londonmiss. And for your funny comments, which just cracked me up! Thanks to the other ladies who also posted about the issue.
I haven't had any movement/flutters yet, and on another post a lot of ladies at my stage of PG reported feeling movement. It's making me start to worry. I still have really sore boobs but my next scan is still about a month away. I guess in a way I was spoilt having been through IVF and having problems early on, in that I had weekly scans, then fortnightly scans. At my last scan the doc didn't want to see me till a month! So the worry begins anew.
Lise, I'm hoping no news from you is good news and that you're in hospital right now :)
Leabie, brilliant news on your nuchal scan results. You must be over the moon. Isn't it amazing to see your baby? Ours waved at us and sucked their thumbs!
MITF - Braxton hicks pains sound scary. Is this your first PG? If so, it's hard to know what to expect, hey? Not long to go now!
Wantbaby2 - Only 3 weeks to go! Wow. I think I'll be having a c-section, too; my FS has already mentioned and recommended it. The only thing I worry about is not being able to do everything straightaway after the birth. My personality is to get in and do everything. I don't worry about missing out on labour or anything like that. I am going to follow doctor's orders and do what is best for the twins, especially given my age, twins and the horrible start I've had to this PG.
Hi to those ladies I've missed and :bellyrubs: to all. I'm too lazy to go back now and have a look at the previous page  Hope you are all travelling well.

Brunette - unfortunately i'm still here with not a labour sign in sight! I didn't feel any movement until 17 weeks which is normal, you generally only feel them earlier if it's your second + pregnancy, so I wouldn't worry about not feeling anything yet, though hope you do soon!
Leabie - so glad your scan went well and you can start telling people  It's so much fun, we really enjoyed people's reactions!
Mitf - i'm with you on the crystal ball, I actually think i'd be a lot calmer if I knew when it was going to happen, even it was 10 past my due date at least I wouldn't wonder every second of every day if it was about to happen!!
LondonMiss - yay on the new laptop, new toys are so much fun aren't they?! And hehehe on the image of me eating pineapple and doing all those other things at the same time - could be interesting indeed to try... ;)
Wantbaby - a friend of mine just had her second caesar and actually found it easier than the first, so fingers crossed this happens for you also.
AFM - well i've scheduled an appointment with my acupuncturist for Friday afternoon with the intention of her doing an induction session, in anticipation that i'll be booked in for one early next week. I see my OB on Friday morning, and last week she said we'll talk inductions this week. Unlike some other OBs mine is very reluctant to do any interventions unless necessary, which is a good thing I suppose, it's just that i'm impatient! And another friend of mine, due the same day, is being induced tomorrow because her OB doesn't like anyone going over, so they're all different.
Anyway, am very much hoping the acupuncture induction works and I have some happy news to share on Saturday. If you don't hear from me after that it's because it didn't work and i'm too depressed to log on and talk to anyone - believe me, i'll be posting happy news as soon as I possibly can!!

Hi Ladies,
I have been watching in here, but I have had awful asthma which is keeping me fairly bedridden (as much as you can be with a 14 month-old). I am hoping Lise that your little one arrives very soon and that the acupuncture works!!
I will get back to persies hopefully within a week as I have new drugs (OK for pregnancy of course!) which I just started.
I have my scan for the heartbeat next Monday morning so will keep you ladies posted.
Hi to everyone, and thanks so much for the lovely welcome. I hope those due very soon get to meet their happy and healthy babies VERY soon!
xx

Lise - a friend from antenatal has just sent me a 22 page epic on acupressure points that induce labour that you might like to use to 'top up' your acupuncture? If you (or indeed anyone else) wants to PM me your email address, I'll send it through. I'm off for a bath - I think I'm becoming not only nocturnal but amphibious as well.... our water bill is going to be ENORMOUS!!!
