Hi everyone,
Just a quickie as frantically packing for our trip to NZ (leave tomorrow and away for 10 days). I had an ultrasound today and baby looks great. He/she was waving and kicking so got to see the limbs really well. Heartbeat was good and strong so it was reassuring - especially seeing I still haven't had any morning sickness (now 11 weeks and 2 days) so had been getting a bit worried but the Dr told me I should just relax and enjoy the pregnancy now.
I had the bloods taken for the NT scan as Dr told me that it must be done before 12 weeks. I had been told I could have it done the same day as the scan but that isn't until 13 weeks 1 day so I had to have a frantic trip to pathology this morning to get the bloods taken before we left (as I will be 13 weeks when I get back and that is apparently too late for the blood test).
Hope everyone has a good next couple of weeks, and I'll catch up with you all when I get back.

Hellooo everyone
it's impossible to keep up on here anymore!!! I read/laugh/cry/sympathise but rarely write now.
Congratulations to all the newbies and those whose scans have recently been done with great results.
Jaki - our due dates are days apart so I always wonder how you're going!! ;-)
AFM - well 33 weeks yesterday. all is good, saw the midwife as doc on holiday. he was breech for the first appointment in a while, his perfect wee head shown to me when midwife pushed on my tummy :-)
we had a scare at 31 weeks, nothing serious but I didn't have any movement from waking up to eating brekky....an hour and a half, which is very unusual, as he always moves first thing, or when I get hungry or when I eat. But called the hospital to speak to the midwife who was great and drank some water and lay there rubbing, pushing and prodding with DH staring as intently at my belly and then he woke up I guess!! It was then I cried, as the emotional tension was released (I'd been trying to not let my mind run away with 'what ifs') No problems since.
My varicose veins have popped on backs of my legs and in my groin area...plse may they be temporary, and my sciatica has returned with avengence, making me limp the majority of the day. Had awesome massage yesterday to ease it, and midwife recommended physio so will check that out.
I've gone from 69kg to 73kg so pretty happy with that. I guess need to actually watch what I eat more in the last weeks now.....kinda haven't done that so far ;-)
Still getting between 1 and 3 hours continuous sleep at a time before I have to wake to pee or turn over - that's been since about 8weeks.
but .... in the big scheme of things, I'm doing ok and every day I remember how blessed we are, and how different things were this time last year for us.
big belly rubs to everyone...now who's next to pop????!!!! xx

airline - good to hear from you love!!! sounds like your body has you sorted out for baby duties waking every few hours lol. I am really hearing you regarding tyring not to let the "what ifs'' swallow you alive. I've been terrrible this pregnancy with worry, doesn't help i've seen a heap of terrible news lately regarding later-term pregnancy.
I do try not to look at any of that stuff while pregnant but it's not just on here, but in the news and IRL. I think i'm more paranoid this time round and am finding it very difficult to accept this is happening.... you know still waiting for the bad thing to happen. Doesn't help that this was a FET and worked first go.
I think i feel it should have been harder, like when we tried for DS. It also doesn't help that we don't need to buy anything but a double pram so there's not that build up and preparation thing happening either.
Airline -that's a great weight gain love! wish i was that lucky! hope those veins are too painful and clear up for you love.
DR - hope you have a good and safe trip :)
hi to all, gotta run. have a crying baby who i suspect is sick... again!
back later for persies.

Hey Airline! Im the same... always read rarely post. I had a similar scare at 31 weeks! i didnt feel bub for almost a day, but never really realised until i was taken to the hospy by a friend after feinting. Had a CTG and all was good. The little bugger started kicking away as soon as her heard the echo from the CTG... he didnt like that much.
He has been head down at every appointment since 28 weeks but im worried he has turned as i started getting stabbing Fanjita pains yesterday, like he was shoving something down there, it feels different up high now too :(
I'd say the veins will go away... they are prob from pressure.
Im pretty stoked with my weight gain too.. considering im 'larger' i was thinking if the average is 15kgs surely ill put on 30kgs! BUT in 20 weeks i put on 7kgs...Oops. But then in the next 8 weeks only 2kgs, then since finding the GD and having to make some diet changes ive started losing :)

Hi Girls
I've been reading but for the life of me can't remember what eveyone is up to, but for our babies due anytime I can't wait for the news...
Had our 24 week scan today and both boys are growing and measuring perfectly to dates - as per a singleton baby - so good news on that front although not so good for my belly... The scan has shown however that Twin B's right kidney is a bit enlarged so will need to keep an eye on that, but it is not suprising as I have reflux in my kidney and it does run in my family but something to monitor for the rest of the pregnancy and also once he arrives. Finally Twin B also decided to move from being head down like his brother to being breech and by the end of the scan was laying transverse. So I now have some relief in my "girlie" bits instread of having 2 head wedged down there, but on the down side I now have a baby getting wedged under my rib's. Ah, the joys of pregnancy hey...
Anyway better get the new photo's scanned and on FB for family to check out..

Hi Ladies, I've been very busy with my big boy Rossi, but wanted to pop in for a very belated CONGRATULATIONS TO LEABIE AND JUNIPER :-)
Looking forward to seeing a few more BA's soon

Hi Everyone
Sorry i've been really slack just had trouble concentrating and been going to bed really early. DD2 also had a spate of vomiting - 4 nights in a row multiple times poor little thing I think it was reflux related so have started her back on her medication.
Hi worrywart - not long now - hope everything goes really well for you and bubby and your poor hands come back to normal!!
Hi Possums - glad to hear you're going along well - you're posts are always so positive to read! i have been pretty grouchy at dh lately too and feel bad for snapping........can i blame hormones... not entirely i suppose.
Hi Mindhugs - sorry about your scare but glad everything is ok now!
Hi Grub - I can definitely relate to hearing horrible stories and being a bit paranoid.....am trying not to listen to anything negative at the moment though or i think i will go insane, so heartbreaking, hopefully it will continue to be a smooth sail for us all! Best of luck for your scan on valentines day
Hi Kelly - hope you're managing to stay as comfortable as possible - sounds squishy in there!
Hi Kaybee - yay for a great scan!
Hi Lori - glad to hear your scan went well, have a good trip to nz
Hi Jaki and Airline - glad to hear you're both going along well! not far away now, i always put most of my weight on in the first trimester because i eat so much to stop the nausea but then it slows down towards the end (i probably do things the wrong way around though).
Hi Lairdoz and Leabie!!
Last Thursday I had a midwife appt and heard baby's heatbeat yay! but on monday morning i woke up to a small gush of bright red blood i thought it was all over and was petrified, but had a scan (am 12 weeks today) and everything looked great baby looked liked a baby too, so now I am attached........and hope everything is ok. my paranoia about germs and food is really starting to get to me!!!
take care - hi to anyone i've missed!
Aimee

aimee- top news about your scan, what a relief for you. I think we all worry about different things along the way
grub- good luck for your scan ...and yep, I too try and not expose myself to too much negativity- i dont need anything extra to freak me out! just because this time was easier for you, doesn't mean all isnt just fine
kelly- glad your boys are measuring spot on, although it's going to get pretty squeezy in your tummy!
kaybee- thats great news! so please for you- into the second tri!
lori- glad your scan was good and have fun in NZ
jaki- glad things are going well- well done with your weight/diet changes
airline- well done with the weight gain...not too long to go now. glad that massage helped you
a big hi to everyone else
afm- nervously waiting for my 12 week scan next weds and the screening and hoping all is fine with the baby and we are low risk. yesterdays progesterone results were good (still over 200). Nausea has eased (although suffering a bit of constipation despite eating very well!) and have a small bump. :D
-
Hey Ladies,
I'm supposed to be doing work, but this is way more fun.
Possums - only a few days until your scan. I am still so happy each time reading that things are going so well for you. Hope the constipation goes the way of your nausea.
Aimee - I know what you mean about the food paranoia. I feel like I am still going to wreck things somehow, or that because other things have gone wrong in the past that I will be at greater risk this time. Although, I am sure we will both be just fine. Very glad your scan went well.
Kelly - I just cannot imagine how you must be feeling having two little men squished in your belly. How do you sleep? Do they sleep when you sleep or are they up playing all night. Sorry - I am just in awe of you!
Jacki - how are you going with the GD? Is it under control with your diet or have they put you on insulin? Sorry if you've already told us - I have no memory! Yay for the low weight gain though
Grub - hope you're feeling ok. It's not very reassuring to know that the 'what if' thoughts and feelings don't stop once you're almost at the end. My pregnancies were the opposite way around to yours. DS was relatively easy (still ivf, but first go) and this one took over a year of ivf plus trying naturally pretty much since DS was a few months old. Hope it's all smooth sailing from here on
Airline - 33 weeks feels like a lifetime away from where I am up to. Doesn't sound like a lot of fun, but I guess you're so close to the real thing now. How scary for you to go through that at 31 weeks. It's so so nice hearing (well reading) a pregnant woman saying she feels blessed. So often out here IRL you just hear the complaints and the negative comments about pregnancy and newborns. Of course it's not all fun, but I agree with feeling so lucky to be at this point finally. Good luck!
DR - have a great time in NZ and good luck with your BT and scan.
AFM - nothing new. I told my boss that I won't be there all year. She didn't care about that and was just happy for me. Does anyone else still get jealous when other people fall pregnant easily even though we are now pregnant??? A friend of mine, who only started trying last month just told me she was pregnant. I was happy for her, but inside I felt a massive stab of jealousy. She has not exactly lived a healthy lifestyle up til now and is a bundle of nervous energy. I just don't get it and still find it so so so unfair that I had to go through so much to get here and she just snaps her fingers and that's it. It makes no sense I know, but now she will probably never know the fear that I have felt for the first 3 months and the changes within that will stay with me forever. Ahh, I am just being silly
Take care ladies

Hi girls
I'm on my phone at the moment. I've been admitted to hossy overnight for bed rest as I had severe pains this morning. Dr doesn't think it is early labour just the boys stretching my old c section scar. Stil having lots of pain and discomfort but I suppose this is a good trial run for the real thing. Sad though as this is my first night away from Tara, although she has been at her grandparents all day getting spoilt but DH is bringing her in to see me to have dinner together and do her nighttime routine.
I'll pop back when I can to fill you in on how I'm going.
-
oh kelly you take care of yourself! glad it's not labour, those boys have some more cooking to do!
kaybee - i never got jealous about others being preg. I'd get cranky when i see teenage girls walking around with a baby like it's a fashion accessory, but never jealous of anyone. I just always just figured I was meant to have this journey for a reason iykwim and I'd never wish it upon anyone else. I know that's pretty opposite to the 'norm' and I really do think your feelings are completely understandable.
And see, that's what I *thought* we'd have... harder the 2nd time round. hmmm. world works in funny ways.
yay possums for still good results!!! fingers crossed for next week! is it wednesday the scan?
aimee - that's such great news about all being good with the scan especially after having a scare with the bleeding! omg your heart must've been in your throat when they first put the scan tool-thingy on your belly.
Mindhugs - how are you going after your bleed???
jaki80 - how good are you for minimal weight! i feel like a huge house of blubber atm. I just can't stop eating and am soooo hungry all the time. My thighs are now looking wider than they are longer :shakehead:
not much to report here, oh apart from DH felt the baby move today! that was exciting. Getting more and more kicks, which as you all know is always reassuring.

Hi ladies is it ok if i join in here? i just found out last week that im pregnant, this was our 3rd STIM cycle and 6th transfer all together. I fell pg last yr in june but sadly lost it at 5 weeks. Im so anxious and scared of loosing this one too :( i have had 3 bt's and these were my numbers 1st-tues 8/2 HCG 43 and prog 43.3 (7dpt) 2nd-10/2 HCG 114 prog 67 (9dpt) 3rd- 12/2 HCG 314 prog not sure but she said they were rising (11dpt) do you ladies think these numbers are ok? iv had light brown spotting since last monday and a few tiny bits of pink and iv had lower back pain, the nurse told me these both things are common in early pg but im really worried. Iv just booked my self in for my 7 week scan on the 1st march xxxx
-
hi oneday! first of all huge congratulations. your numbers are going up nicely so i think they are fine... but unfortunately it really is a waiting game which ultimately we have no control over the outcome. In saying that, my best advice is to try and be positive and enjoy this moment - whatever may come. (admittedly harder said than done some days).
Your anxiety and fear is absolutely understandable and I'm sorry to report doesn't go away til you get that bub in your arms (and then there's a whole new set of worries) - But personally i really try to keep a lid on those fears or they can take on a life of their own and really dominate your thoughts (i'm struggling with some atm myself ggrr). Basically you worry yourself silly!
The girls here are all wonderful support so vent away if you need. Please do remember tho to do a little cheer - look what you've done! You are pregnant!!!!
Heaps of sticky vibes coming your way love and  hope this is your year.
-
Kelly i hope you are ok!!!!!! Waiting for an update!
Grub... how cute is your avvy!!!!!! I had ob apt this morning and ive lost another kilo
Welcome OD86!!!!!! congrats on your BFP!!!!!!! Good luck with the scan on the 1st :)
Waiting for some B/A's!! We have a couple of quiet mummas around their due dates here!?!?
-
Welcome Oneday and your fears are normal and you will have lots of support here to get you through to your 7 weeks scan and then every milestone until your bundle arrives..
Thanks for asking how I'm going girls. I got home yesterday afternoon and was told to rest but really once you are home it is so hard to still and do nothing when there is stuff that needs doing. By the evening I was getting pains again and I had them again this morning after taking Tara to playgroup, I think lifting her up doesn't help at all but what can I do... I have to look after her as well as myself. DH has put our rocker from Tara's room into the lounge for me so when she is playing and watching TV (thank god for ABC Kids) I can sit with my feet up. I am trying to get my head around how I'm going to manage this for another 10-13 weeks though, but I know the boys are all ok as they have been spending so much time wriggling and kicking me so I know they are happy where they are for the moment.
Grub: Loving the Avi although you need a cocoon on your tree that will become a butterfly when your bubs arrives.. but very original I must say..
Belly rubs to all our other mummies and I can't wait for some BA's and also some 12 week scan results which should be coming our way soon..
Oh and Kaybee my boys love the night time to play and they seem to take it in turns. It is hard for me to go to sleep if they are awake as if I lay on my left side then lefty gets active and kicks and punches me and the same on the right. I have to wait for one of them to go to sleep so I can get a side to sleep on, then if I have to do a loo trip during the night (everynight) I then have about 2 hours trying to get back to sleep as the boys start up again. I must admit though sometimes I'm just so tired that I end up crashing and only get woken up by strong kicks if I'm really squashing one or the other.
-
Kelly- so glad to read you are back home and that your boys are OK. I hope you can manage your remaining weeks OK though, sounds like a few challenges ahead for you and anything to make it easier is a bonus I am sure
oneday- welcome! congratulations...your fears are so normal and so many of us have them and have had losses or a rough journey to get here, so we can relate and can help each other through. I'm sure you will find plenty of support here. Your numbers look good to me.
grub- how did your scan go today? great to see you with an avy :D
jaki- well done on your results at the ob appt
kaybee- i dont think you are being silly, in fact I experience exactly the same feelings you describe! Even though I am pregnant now, when people announce they have fallen pregnant easily, I feel a stab of jealousy...and even a bit bitter sometimes. I try to be bigger and rise above those feelings, but yep, they hit me too.
mindhugs- good luck for your 12 week scan tomorrow!
hope everyone else is doing OK, especially those of you who are getting closer and closer now...
afm- 12 weeks tomorrow and scan weds....nervous and excited. Do we ever really relax and enjoy this and believe it will happen? Hoping it will feel ever more real after this scan...fingers crossed!
also, when did people buy maternity clothes and really show? any of my tight clothes are now too tight, so I am wearing my comfy skirts with more stretchy waistbands etc at the moment. I haven't gained any weight so far, but have a little bump and things are tight around the waist.
-
Thanks for the welcome girls :) this 7 weeks till i hit 'the safe mark is going to drag' but it feels different this time so im going to enjoy every single bit of it, iv waited so long for this moment to come so im not going to worry my self sick anymore. I went to my GP today just to find out where i go from here, she said my spotting is completely normal and to only worry if i have bad cramping or heavy red bleeding. She gave me my referral for my 12 weeks scan so thats now booked in for the 5th of April. I cant wait to share this journey with you ladies and goodluck to all of you with your up coming due dates :) xxx
