oh thanks jaki....looking forward to reading your birth story one day. x
At this point I don't plan to write one, but if you like you could stalk me over to my belly buddies group I have written it out a page or so ago.
Hey chickies
just a quick one. My levels came back normal for bile acid, but after worrying weekend and long chat with great OB, have decided on induction, so going in 6am tomorrow, wish me luck...DH and I are still processing ;-) xx
oh airline, best of luck for tomorrow!!! hope all goes well...will be thinking of you! What a big moment for you and DH...sending you all my best, can't wait to hear your news once you have that beautiful baby in your arms xx
Hi Airline - so glad the tests came back fine. A big relief regardless. Lots of positive vibes for tomorrow. Your moment has arrived, how amazing that must feel!! We will all be waiting to hear the good news. Here's hoping for a quick and easy delivery xxxxxxxx
Hi girls!
Hope you dont mind me posting on your thread. I got a bfn today after my first transfer (2nd stim cycle). Just wondering if there is anything you each did differently on your bfp cycle?? I am working out a plan of attack and any tips of what you think helped would be most welcome!
Many thanks :)
N2l
Airline - that's brilliant news - both that everything seems ok AND that you are going to have a baby...tomorrow!!! I'm sure you won't be on here for a while, so I'll be sending you lots of calm vibes for your birth. Can't wait to hear about it
Kelly - Oh My God! How much have you grown in just 2 weeks! I'm feeling for you mate
just a quick one to wish airlien all the best for tomorrow!!! that's so super exciting!!! bet you don't get much sleep tonight! lol.
N2L - for my first cycle i could barely get out of bed and didn't do much... got BFN from fresh and frostie. For my 2nd cycle i ran every single day (about 10km per day) plus swam and cycled... so really really healthy and fit... I truly believe this helped us get such great quality eggs. One is a cheeky little 15 month old, who i hope is alseep right now :) and the other is a cheeky little 27 week old foetus with it's foot or hand or such in my ribs! These were from the same collection. My DS was the first transfer (so fresh), and this little one i'm carrying now was the first frostie we used. We have one egg left. So didn't get heaps of eggs but got really good quality ones. I'm sure none of this is scientifically proven etc but for me, I feel in my soul that me being really fit helped heaps - all that good oxygenated blood :) As for the actual transfer - did i do anything different... with DS I rested for 2 days in bed and didn't move. With this one I had our entire family visiting for DS's christening and had 20 people at our house for lunch... and it rained!!! so i was somewhat stressy! So for us, relaxed or stressed - didn't seem to matter.
oh so much for a quick one!!!
i've got a virus atm. chest/head flu/cold thingy. made more painful runnign after 15 month old. ugh. pana-frak-ing-dol just doesn't cut it some days!
Good luck airline!!!!
Can't wait to hear how you go!!!
I'm so excited :D
xoxo
thanks girls, it's 4.28am, been awake since 3.30am, and due to itching didn't sleep till 11pm....so not full of energy ;-) having a cup of tea and toast, spending time with my cats and dog....well I fed them brekky and then they went their own way ;-) we're nervous and excited...more nervous.
had a few tears with DH last night in bed, all this IVF journey, all this culminating to this next day or so...........it's huge.
to all the girls at their different stages, good luck, big cyber hugs, gentle belly rubs/prods, and stay strong.
thank you for helping me get this far xxx
Hi ladies its busy in here atm! its so exciting that some of you are nearly ready to pop :) what an exciting time!
I went to the hospital last wed as i had very mild pains and of course i worried but it turned out to be nothing, i had another scan and everything is fine and it was amazing to see bub whom now has arms and legs (stumps as the scan lady put it) and he or she was kicking its legs and moving its arms around, so beautiful! my 12 week scan is in 2 weeks and i cant wait to see how much bub has grown again. We went down the coast and told DH's family on the weekend and they were so excited for us they were all crying and saying but how and how have you kept it a secret so long, they had no idea we did this cycle so it was a complete shock and suprise to them and it was so nice to see them so happy for us iv been dreaming of this day for a very long time.
I hope your all well xxxxxxx
Oneday - that's a beautiful story. Those little surprise moments are what we have all been waiting for so long. Glad you enjoyed every minute of it. You deserve it! I've had lots of mild pain, and still getting it. The nervousness doesn't seem to let up, yet we are all still here!!!!
N2L - Nice to meet you & I so understand how you are feeling. What was different for me with this one? It was my last frostie and most likely our last chance with IVF. So I asked the doctor to throw everything at this one. He did! I got extra injections, the Colorado Protocol and 2 x progesterone pessaries a day until week 16. They did regular blood tests to monitor my hormone levels to see if anything needed boosting to stop a possible miscarriage etc. And here I am 17 weeks on. Nothing was different about my health than the last 2 cycles. Also I do have a strict regime daily of a pregnancy multi vit, Omega 3 6 9 Fish Oil, Vit D drops & extra Zinc & Vit C. Plus I have regular acupuncture around the cycle and up to week 12 of the pregnancy. And I have done sooooooooooo much sitting still it's killing me.
AFM - the MS is less and less and less. Thank god. After that carpark yak last week I was getting a bit concerned.
Airline should be in the throws of labor right now - yay!!!
Kelly - I'm going on FB to check this belly out right now!
Hi,
I had two cycles. One I only got one egg and therefore just a fresh transfer and it resulted in a chemical pregnancy. The 2nd I got 4 eggs - had two transferred fresh and then 2 transferred frozen - all BFN's.
I was working in a very stressful sitation at the time. A few weeks before what was going to be my last IVF attempt I quit my job and started a new lower stress one. I also had accupuncture. My blood pressure went back to my normal (which is actually low) whereas throughout the other cycles it had been "normal" which is actually high for me. The accupuncturist commented on how much better I was looking by the time I had my session with him just before egg pick up (compared to my first one a few weeks earlier). And I got my BFP. I truly believe in my case that stress was the major reason I wasn't getting pregnant (I had also done a year of donor insemination prior to IVF) and once I had got free of that stressful situation my body responded well.
don't know what your personal circumstances are like but if you have stress in your life it might be worth looking into what you can do to relieve it. :-)
Lori (single mum)
DD- 14yrs old (unplanned and we were using contraception - the best thing to ever happen to me)
Bub no.2 - due late August (over 4 years in the making).
OMG Airline: I know you are very busy now but how exciting that you will meet your little man so soon. I can't wait to hear your BA...
FREAK GIRLS this means I'm next on our list...
Kaybee: Yep some huge increase in size in the last 2 weeks, I can't believe so much can fit in such a small space lol..
Grub: DH is home sick today and I've been making sure he doses up on cold & flu tablets, I really don't think I could cope if I got sick or DD at the moment. I'm feeling for you love.
Possums, MH & DR: sending you all belly rubs. Can you believe how close you all are to being 1/2 way.
N2L: I wish I could tell you something that would make it happen but with my BFP for DD I went in with no expectations after having already had 1 fresh and 2 FET's. Although with her successful transfer I had just quit my job, been on a much needed holiday and we moved house 1 week before the transfer so I had other things to focus on as well. This time around I didn't think we would be successful at all so my thinking was more along the line of "I have to give it a go or I'll never know" but really wasn't expecting anything. So when we got a BFN with FET #4 I wasn't suprised but we went again as we still had frosties in the freezer and what do you know #5 was a double surprise. After the transfer life carried on as normal for us as I had a toddler to chase after and apart from being on progesterone (which is standard for my clinic) I did nothing different. Hopefully you will get you BFP very soon.
thinking of you airline
kelly- exciting and scary being next on the list!
N2L- this cycle i basically lowered my expectations, I had had a long break from IVF and had more balance back in my life...I also had a couple of great holidays not long before we started the cycle, so I went into it with less stress I believe. I did use acupuncture also, and just continued to do my normal activities/fitness etc and eat well. I dont know whether there is a reason why it worked this time, but I certainly felt calmer about it all than previously. wishing you the best of luck!
You know what..................I have to add to the above posts that I had endured 2 gutwrenching IVF miscarriages last year and although we had one frostie left to use DH and I had resigned ourselves that perhaps this just wasn't in the cards for us. So I began moving on to a plan B. I applied for and was accepted into a very difficult uni course. Same week I got my 1st round offer I got my BFP, and this time it has stuck! So yes, there is something to be said for taking the stress and focus away from the whole IVF transfer thing. I agree with the girls. Add to that the usual acupuncture, supplements and exercise (plus a clinic that puts you on the progesterone pessaries) and.................
Good luck N2L. Pop in whenever you like and we all look forward to you joining us to share your wonderful pregnancy journey xoxo
Thanks soooo much girls!!
I am devising a plan of attack...I am doing a natural FET this month so hopefully I will be back soon as a bone fide thread member!!!
Good luck to you all in your baby-growing :)
take care x
n2l
good luck N2L, hope to see you in here very soon
airline- thinking of you
n2L; hope you and i will both be in here together. i too am trying the less stress thing with a 4 day holiday with a friend (female) just before i start sniffing and jabbing. and acupuncture which i have been doing for about 3 years now and continued pregnancy vitamins and chinese fertility herbs.
now breathe and relax. lol
hi to all you preggers ladies too. i'll be seeing you in here soon. ;-)
Hello girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm 'shouting' cos i'm sooo excited and happy!
On the 22nd march at 1658, my little boy arrived, lewis evan, weighing 3.450kg by c-section after a failed induction with no progression. He had a little fluid on his lungs so went to special care, but has been discharged just now to 'room' it with me - whoo hoo!! He is gorgeous, dh and i are very happy - understatement! Concerned about bf due to a reduction many years ago....but i seem to be doing ok, and midwives happy. Bursting with pride, and can't believe our dream finally came true. Did i mention how absolutely gorgeous he is?????!!!
To everyone who uses this forum, thank you for helping me over the very long timeline that was the ivf journey to get to this point today. Good luck to everyone, and i'll try and catch up again soon between dozing, feeding, eating myself, visitors, physio, cuddles etc.
Yeh for lewis!!!!!! ;-) xxx
Yay airline!!!! :bluecheer: Big congrats! He sounds beautiful - and weighs exactly what my DS did. Perfect weight! Not too big, not too small. Enjoy every minute of it.
Sorry I've been a tad absent girls, have still been reading but have buried my head in the sand about being pregnant myself - it seems to make the stress easier. I'll update the "list" for the latest arrivals and will post it as a new thread. It should be easier for everyone to find then and SHOULD be easier for people to update themselves as they join the group.
Will come back soon for some more persies - just have to stop DS from destroying my pantry. He's currently throwing potatoes....
Congrats Airline and welcome to the big world little Lewis, enjoy your special time together.
Hi Everyone!!!
Congratulations Airline! What lovely news, so glad you are enjoying lots of cuddles with your precious Lewis!!!!!!!!
hi everyone else - so sorry I have been so slack! I mainly hop on the computer at night, but have been exhausted and falling asleep early and brain has not wanted to do more typing - i often have to do work related emails in the day.
Glad to hear everyone is going well though and hoping to see JBM and nothing2lose soon.
I am 18 weeks now and just counting down the days till my scan next week! excited and nervous. I hate the month long wait between visits!
Hopefully I can manage to catch up with everyone this time - my last attempt was a failure. We still haven't told many people but its getting quite obvious. Does anyone remember how much weight they put on in the first 20 weeks of pregnancy - I feel my weight is all in my bum! Can feel some little kicks now so thats exciting but worrying on the other hand when baby rests, but I guess its still early.
Hope you're all having a good week!
Congratz Airline!!!!
I'm so excited for you!
Your post brought tears to my eyes.
Enjoy your wee man.
xoxo
lol bugs mum. I locked my pantry... but have to go searching the house for various pieces of tupperware! gotta love those cheeky toddlers.
AIRLINE - huge congrats on lewis' arrival!!! I am loving the name and enjoy all those cuddles!!! hope your BF journey goes well and can't wait for you to tell us some more sweetie. OH, that's such great news, I"m exctied too after your post!!!!
da-dum; da-dum; da-dum (think the Jaws theme lol) ... and it's coming for you kelly!!! hahahaha. I hope you are well. How are you coping this week??? the countdown is in single digits now love so hang in there!!!
aimee - with my first pregnancy i didn't put on a huge amount of weight til the last month ... probably about 8 to 10kgs up til then. This time I swear I packed on 20kg the day of my BFP! As for your bottom, yes... well, my bum is still coming round the corner when i'm in the next room it's that freaking huge... but hey, it matches my thighs. UGH. Are you well apart from being tired???
jbm - lovely, lovely lady. I soooo wnt you in here too! fingers crossed.
Possums - how are you going??
well i've got a virus, a flu i think and kindly shared ti with my family. but they aren't as bad as I am - i have an awful chesty cough and last night was the first good night's sleep i've had in at least a week. I think it was more exhaustion than anything else tho! but my little terror has it too, so hopefully he can fight it off better than me as nothing is worse than a sick baby :(
DH is home sick this week from work as well. so just a couple of movies and eating crap food cos we can't be bothered cooking.
better run, i can hear dh trying to have a rational conversation with a 15 month old... and it's going to end in tears! "no ashton, you can't carry your bottle around the house and spill milk out. it makes a mess and daddy has to clean it .. blah blah blah come back, Ash, here... ashton etc etc"... Lol Good luck with that one honey!!!
oxox
Hi everyone,
Grub, sorry to hear you and the rest of your family are sick... hope you feel better soon.
Kelly, hope everything is still going well and those twins are hanging in there so they can be born in Ballarat.
AFM: Well I had my first "proper" appointment at the hospital today. Saw the midwife and she had a student with her who is actually the mother of one of my daughter's old school friends so that was a little weird to start with but okay. Then saw the dr to see if the pregnancy will be recorded as low risk so I can go through the midwife clinic. He had a feel around of my tummy and said "Yep another beautiful girl". I said "A girl? I was thinking it was a boy?" And he said "you don't want a boy. They can be such handfuls. Girls are cute." I didn't say anything because the truth is I desperately want it to be a girl but feel 80% sure it is a boy so it's not that I want a boy it's just that I feel like that's what it is. When I got home I told my mum what the Dr said and mum asked if I asked him why he thinks it's a girl (as when she was pregnant with my brother her Dr was sure he was a boy from her first appointment with him - at around 20 weeks and he was right). But I didn't ask the Dr why he thought it was a girl. Now I'm really anxious for my 20 week scan on the 11th of April and hope I can find out for sure then.
Apparently my Dad thinks it's a girl but my mum said she has no feeling either way and as I said I think it's a boy. With my daughter my mum and I were both convinced she was a girl (and we were right) and my Dad didn't have a feeling either way.
Anyway it was quite bizzare because the Dr asked what I do job wise and I said "I'm currently doing family day care. I look after these 2 girls and their brother who is currently at kinder and their sister who is at school". And he said "And what do you want to do with the rest of your life?" I was quite thrown by this as many women do family day care for decades and could be offended by his implication that it isn't a "proper" job. I just said "I don't really know. I've already had about 6 career changes... still trying to find the right one for me. I'm a fully qualified primary teacher, librarian and TAFE teacher." He replied "I thought there was more" (I guess implying that somehow by looking at me he could tell that I had other qual's or aspirations or whatever). I said that I would wait until after bubs was born before deciding what to do next career-wise. It seemed quite strange and I'm sure other women could have been quite offended by his questioning. I did explain that I had been working as a TAFE teacher when I was going through IVF but it was very stressful as they were trying to close down the course I managed so since I had no medical reason for having difficulty getting pregnant it appeared it was probably stress related so I quit my job and started family day care and the very first cycle after that I finally got pregnant so I really feel that stress was the major factor for me. He didn't make any comments about that.
Anyway my current family move to Qld in just over 2 weeks and then I'll be out of work. I've spoken to the bank about making my morgage interest only for a while and have worked out a bit of a budget and with the rent I get from my housemate and the money from centrelink I think I will just manage to get by (I have a loan to my parents for the IVF and another for my car so have negoiated with them to stop repayments until I get another job). This has made me feel better to know that if the worst comes to the worst I should still manage to hold onto my home.
I'm kinda looking forward to not working for a while. I mean I've pretty much always worked my whole life (from age 15 I had part-time jobs while a student) so I might go a bit stir crazy but I have been gettting so tired I'm looking forward to not having to get up at 5.45am each weekday, to start work at 6.30am.
Lori
DD - 14
Bub due 28th Aug.
Oh Airline!!! Such wonderful news for you and DH. Congrats on little Lewis. Sounds like you are enjoying being a mum already. Can't wait to hear more xxxxx
Hi Girls
I'm still here just very tired and unmotivated, I've been reading but find the mental capacity to post too hard at the moment...
Boys are still tucked up nice and tight - I just need to last another week at least - although I think Twin A has "dropped" now as I have more room under my ribs (well as much room as allows) and instead of the rolling & kicking movements being in my rib cage they are now happening more around my belly button. DH is now starting to freak that my water is going to break at any time but just keep telling myself to get to next week.
I'm very tired as DH gave DD his cold and the night before last I was up with her until 2am and the only way she would fall asleep was for me to lay on the floor next to her cot - where I fell asleep ouchy - I went back to bed at 4am and add that to my 3-4 nightly wee trips as well I was exhausted. DH had yesterday off work to look at DD for me so I could catch up on some rest and I think this afternoon I might crash my parents place for a couple of hours to get DD looked after as well while I put my feet up.
So apart from tiredness, a numb left thigh from my hip to my knee and now constant pressure "down below" things are going o.k... Oh and I weighed myself yesterday and only put on 10kg's to date - not bad considering the boys would weigh about 4kg's of that and then add the fluid, placenta etc it seems my body is happy to just carry baby weight only. Thank god as I think my back would snap in half if I had to carry too much more weight.
Have a good one girls.
airline- congratulations on the arrival of beautiful Lewis!!! so happy for you and hope you are all doing well xx
kelly- thinking of you, you are doing so well, and well done with the weight gain also..hang in there
grub- hello! hope you are much better soon as well as the rest of your family
aimee- glad to hear all is progressing along for you. I am just over 17 weeks now and think I have gained about 2 kgs...i think it's mostly my growing tummy and boobs to be honest! although I keep asking DH is my bum looks bigger! lol i need to relax about my weight I know, but I do tend to worry about gaining all over
bugsmum- great to hear from you :-)
mindhugs- hope the MS is easing and the clexane is getting easier for you
lori- good luck for your next scan
jbm- hope to see you here soon
afm- all going well (I think anyway!)...tummy and boobs keep growing, which I think is a good sign. I have my next scan wednesday, so very excited about that (the clinic here likes us to go at 18 weeks) and we hope to find out if its a boy or a girl. A healthy baby is all we really want of course! but I have always imagined having a girl at some point (i think being an only child and so close to my mum, i have always subconsciously imagined me with a daughter of my own).
I am a bit disappointed as our private scan place is closed at the moment, so we cant go to our normal sonographer, who we have come to know and who is always great and gives us a dvd and still photos and they have two screens so i can always see everything clearly too.... :-( going to the public place and will get photos (no dvd)...and hopefully they'lllet mum and dad in for a look...not ideal in comparison, but DH and I decided to go in when the clinic wanted us to (rather than waiting until 20 weeks whenthe private place reopens) and we are so keen to have a look! plus with my medical stuff, we want to make sure sooner rather than later that our baby is developing ok. I know I will be nervous on scan day as usual!
People keep telling me i am glowing, or how well i look, and i get a lot of random compliments, which i must say is lovely and makes me feel good :-)
getting maternity gear and looking for bargains...want to look nice but dont want to spend a fortune!
It's early days, but we've also started talking about our nursery- we want to go with a snugglepot and cuddlepie theme :-)
possums - i love that theme!!! good luck with the scan!!! it's so super exciting. fingers crossed it's all good lovely.
kelly - ugh sick toddlers with preggy mummys are not a good combo. i also slept on a mattress next to DS the other day... it was a thin foam mattress and should have killed my hips but i thik i was so exhausted it didn't matter. Three hours we slept for!!!
glad you have your money situation sorted out dreamrise.
well i'm a bit better, DS not much worse and DH is much worse with a fever and lots of groaning. Terrible man flu, much worse than girl flu you all know :) poor bloke.
Have my GD test next week so i hope it's all good.
must go and find some chocolate. OMG i can't stop eating bleeting chocolate!!!
Congrats Airline!!!!! how exciting! enjoy your bub xxxxx
Possums how exciting i cant wait for that scan, everything will be fine but i know what you mean i get nervous too! And its not too early for nursery talk, iv already been discussing it too and im only 10 weeks, you deserve to make the most of this and that sounds like a lovely theme xxxx
AFM my 12 week scan is in 1 nad a half weeks and counting lol!! I had bad pains in my stomach and the runs last night, i was so worried about bub but im sure other people have had this while preg. just drinking lots of water. Has anyone experienced little pains in there vagina while pg? im thinking it could be everything expanding??
Hi Everyone
Hope your week is going well.
Hi grub - yum chocolate! yes I'm well now thanks but I think I may have had a similar virus and it went on for weeks, aches and pains, cough, headaches, sinus, feeling awful, then finally I got some antibiotics and it cleared up pretty quickly - hope you are feeling better soon - not much fun being sick and pregnant and tired looking after toddlers! I still need my naps most afternoons though! So far I've put on 4kg's but it feels like more maybe its fluid (wishful thinking) I have gone up about 3 sizes! and my dad told me I needed to go on a diet and DH teased me about eating too many cheeseburgers  Hope you feel better soon.
Hi dreamrise - I'm a primary school teacher too (but not librarian or tafe, thats impressive). Hope you manage to get everything sorted out so its not too stressful for you I can def understand wanting to wait and see how everything with bubs goes before you make decisions about work. And also you probably need a rest!!!!
I hope this doesn't sound rude, and I'm in no place to advise because I haven't worked officially in over 12 months! But I did some supply teaching to help out with our finances while I was pregnant with DD2. It was really good money and I only did 1 maybe 2 days per week! I didn't do supply while I was on IVF though cause it was way too stressful!
Kelly - you sound exhausted! I had forgotten all about the late night toilet trips and I only had 1! Hope you're coping ok though and can't wait to hear about your little men!
Possums - aww, nursery theme sounds so cute! I'm so glad you are enjoying all the fun things attached with pregnancy the shopping and planning! Its such a nice time! I hope your scan goes really well, my parents came in with me and DH too and loved seeing baby wiggle around everywhere, I have found most sonographers to be pretty welcoming so hopefully yours will too.
Oneday - hooray for your upcoming scan too!! It makes everything feel so much more real, I love the 12 week one as baby looks like a real little person, so little but so cute. Hope you're going well, glad you enjoyed sharing your news with family.
Hi to Jacki and mindhugs and anyone else I've missed!
Hey girls, just on the weight gain question...how much have others gained so far? I am also curious to know.
I'll be 18 weeks next week and so far have gained around 2kgs...it's so hard to tell what is being gained due to extra blood flow, boobs, expanding belly etc and whether or not it's going on elsewhere...so far I think it's all pretty much pregnancy related thankfully :-)
aimee- yes, it's a great time! I am really enjoying it all and embracing it now, after such a struggle to get here, I figure we need to make the most of it, and thankfully I have not been unwell, which is a bonus!
oneday- good luck with that scan! it's so exciting getting to that 12 weeks
grub- weirdly enough the one thing i have eaten much LESS of since being pregnant is chocolate. I am normally a complete chocoholic! I like other sweet things again now though (went off them at first). enjoy it
Possums: I think the weight thing is all pretty relative, with DD up until 20 weeks I actually lost weight and when weighed on delivery day I had put on a total of 6kg's. When she was born she weighed 3.12kg's and then taking the placenta, fluid etc I actually left hospital weighing less than before I was pregnant. This time around as I said so far I've put on 10 kg's but most of that has also happened after 20 weeks as well. I think with both my pregnancies that everything I consumed prior to 20 weeks was getting completely taken by the babies.
Firstly, CONGRATULATIONS AIRLINE! Ahhhh, you made it safely, well, gorgeous Lewis did. So glad you are on top of the world loving it. xo
There is a lot going on in here and I just can't keep up. Think I will just say a quick hi to everyone then come back for proper persies later. Sorry - I've been at a 3 year olds party all morning and am so buggered.
Have a great weekend! xo
possums - my private OB never weighed me with DS but i reckon i put on close to 30kg with that pregnancy... and most of that in the last 6 weeks when the baby lays down most of it's fat. After DS was born .... like a few months after, i probably lost all but 10kg of that weight.
With this one I reckon i must have already put on 10kg, I'm sitting about 20kg above of pre-baby (that's pre-DS) weight atm. ugh. I can't wait (no pun intended) to get my body back and lose some fat and get all fit and healthy again.
but for those 1st timers... you just wait til you have bubs! OMG you feel like a flaping supermodel and you just think you are so super duper skinny (lol of course you still look preg for a few weeks hahaha). It's the best feeling... til you look at a photo and reality hits. but with the baby and placenta etc all gone, it's instant weight lose and you feel 1000 times lighters. It's a very strange experience lol. I call it my Cindy Crawford moment :)
well getting better, slowly. Just had a 2,5 hr nap! and it was goooodddd. but in the last 45 mins I was supposed to be making Ds's dinner WHOOPSY bad mummy. so he's having jar stuff tonight :wall:
Hello hello!
Possums - exciting about your scan next Wed. And Cuddlepot & Snugglpie - how cute! We're gonna need pics on here, you now that right?
Kelly - how's it all going with the tightness? At least one of them has moved out of your ribcage - ouch! Hang in there girlfriend. Not long now ;)
Grub - is it the change of season lurgy or something? I've got the snots too and it's driving me crazy!!! Erk! Hope the rest of your fam are starting to feel better too!
Aimee - it's good to hear from you girl! Make sure you come on in and catch up ok :)
OneDay - Mmm hmmm, the very much anticipated and exciting 12 week scan! Enjoy every little minute of it. It's like witnessing a miracle!
Kaybee - hey there. Drop back in when you have more time and tell us what's happening with you and bub on board!!!
AFM -met with a local BB girl for lunch today. Always lurvely! MS has continued to drop off, and I'm feeling much better in general since starting my iron supplements! Looking bigger, but feeling more tired than 1st tri??? I think the "glow" is having a very steady creep on effect. I'll get back to you on that one. The dreaded Clexane!!! Going ok in the tum tum, but I have some lovely streaky type bruises up and down which gives me a bit of a tiger look - thank god bikini season is almost done! My next scan is Tuesday. I've had nothing for 4 weeks - not even a heartbeat monitor. So hoping the growing bulge is all looking good in there - everything is crossed!!!
Have a great weekend girlies!!!!
Hi again,
Mindhugs - how exciting - another scan. I'm sure everything is going just fine in there. It's still the biggest relief when you see bub and the little beating heart though, isn't it. How nice to meet real life BB people too!
Cindy, I mean grub. I can't remember feeling like a supermodel, more like a ballon that has been stretched and popped, but I'll look at it differently this time round after reading your take on things. Always so positive!
Possums - I'm 20 weeks and I think I;ve probably put on 2 or 3 kilos - most of it in the first few weeks when I had to eat constantly to keep the nasuea away. I think with DS I put on about 8kg all up. I already know I'll be fatter this time - not as much time to go for walks or to yoga with DS around. My boobs were much bigger last time. They don't seem to have grown this time :(
Oneday - wow - your scan must be any day now. Ahh, how exciting. As for the vag pain - mine doesn't hurt but seems to have a lot of well, um, goop (should have warned TMI). There's lots of extra blood flow, so it's probably totally normal - ask the doc if it's really bad though. I had the runs too and was really worried. It's not that uncommon, and mine didn't last too long. Hope it all sorts itself out - even if it's just to make room for the next wierd pregnancy symptom.
Kelly - hope you're resting and so are those boys!
Aimee - hi, hope you're travelling well
afm - those first tri worries are starting to set in again. I am just not feeling any movement. I felt a few a couple of weeks ago and now nothing. My placenta is at the front so if I asked a doc they would tell me not to worry, I just hope it's all ok. I still don't look pregnant, even though nothing fits. I just look chubby. None of that bothers me though, as long as bub is ok in there - give me a sign little one! Next midwife appointment is about a week and a half away.
Anyway, need to have a little nanna nap for 2 minutes. Take care
oneday - kaybee reminded me i didn't answer your Q. Yep i get stabbing sort of pains in my girl bits. and generally they are swollen (heat and extra blood flow i think). With DS I bought men's undies in a big size... for their ball room  and found it much more comfortable. geez pregnancy is soooo glamorous!!!
kaybee - i hope you feel some more kicks soon. but with this preg i didn't feel kicks til 21 weeks or so, so maybe bub just ain't booting you hard enough yet? i think between 12weeks and when the movement starts is the worst time. no appoints and no scans and no movment!
good luck MH and Possums on your scans this week (they are this week?). :)
gotta run my toad of a 15 month old has decided to cry instead of have his sleep today. think he's got the lurgy that attacked me and DH :(
