and hi to everyone else
afm- had such a nice break and DH and I love feeling our little man wriggle around in there now :) I feel healthy and fit overall and have been walking lots/yoga etc (although a bit slower than usual, lol)...and it's just the head pounding thing which I have as an annoying symptom and which does slow me down.
I have my MRI scan of my head tonight, bit nervous but hopefully this is just a check and all will be fine.
Looking forward to our next scan too in coming weeks, just so I know all is ok in there too. We have decided to travel an hour away so we can see a private Ob.

Hey girls!!!
Possums - hope all goes well with your head scan. Thinking of you.
Grub - I hate morning tv too!!! Not long for you now. Hope that little rascal is behaving himself. Cheeky monkey ;)
BDT - it's all looking good for you. There is nothing as sweet as hearing that heartbeat. And a holiday soon - no! Your life always sounds so perfect. Enjoy.
JBM - Good luck with your scan tomorrow. Another exciting moment in this forum :)
Hi to Trishy, Kaybee, Farmgirl, OneDay & Dreamrise :grouphug:
AFM: Kickidy kick kick kick! Can't believe I have 13 weeks left. It's going so quick!!!
It's a grim day on the Gold Coast with all those murders!!! Robina is right near me. My poor BIL was the policeman who found the car outside Casino in NSW with the father and 5 y.o. girl, and smashed through the windows to confirm they were deceased. Thank god the policeforce insist on counselling. He's a father to 2 little one's himself, so this incident would have gutted him. Even though it's the nature of their jobs...............
I'm so saddened by this, just like the rest of Australia. Can't believe all this stuff around broken down relationships and custody battles at the moment. I mean it's always going on, but I suppose the current economic climate may make things more desperate for people in these situations too (I know crime in general has increased dramatically on the Gold Coast this year). Either way it's definitely been highlighted the past couple of weeks.
A reminder that children are just so precious..............that poor little girl :(
-
oh MH poor BIL :( i was thinking of those coppers who had to deal with that scene yesterday and how awful it would have been for them, despite 'training'. ox
possums... what if they find nothing in your head!!!! bbaahhhaa... Okay, sorry I just couldn't help it. Serioulsy tho, good luck hun. I really hope it's really just "one of those weird preggy things''. oxox
oh jbm i'm going to be busting my gut to get on tomorrow to see if you've posted... i see it's in the arvo so that means we all have to wait!! how annoying! good luck!!!
yeah DS has been great (for a 17month old that is lol) today! he even went to sleep at midday when i put him down (instead of playing silly buggers for 2 hrs and waking over tired and cranky). He's just here at my feet with a toy koala and wombat giving them kisses and me cheesy smiles in between lol. He said garbage truck and cheese stick today! I know this is wayyy off for most of you, but word to the wise... k mart has $2 plastic cookware!! toddler gold especially when tryign to do the groceries!!! he happily played with his new measuring cup set, juicer, colander and measuring jug for the whole grocery trip!!!

Hey just a quickie from me because I have some important chocolate and tv to catch up on.
Possums - good luck for your scan. Hope they can set your mind at rest there and then so you don't have to wait for the results. Let us know xoxo
Sorry - I seriously need to go and lie down
have a good one xo
-
Hi everyone
sorry just a quickie from me too!
grub - so close now hope you're ok with dh away, ds sounds cute
jbm - cant wait to hear you news, oh the anticipation, don't scare yourself thinking negative things (easy to say), but hope you get lots of reassurance from your scan
bdt - yay so good
possums - good luck for your mri results, so glad you and dh are enjoying feeling bub move!
mindhugs - oh dear, poor bil, such a horrible story, my heart really goes out to all involved, hope you're going ok with your little kicking machine, so reassuring to feel them move all the time
kaybee, trishy, oneday, fam girl, williever, bugs mum, DR and .....everyone else - hope you're keeping ok
AFM - nothing super exciting, have had a sick little one with asthma and slept in hospital with her over the weekend but hoping she's ok now. had another ultrasound today, as I had another acute pain spasm/attack over the weekend. Dr thinks it might be a rumbling appendix or a seed/nut in my appendix irritating it and causing pain. But I got to have another ultrasound and see bub - I'm 25 weeks and 5 days now and bub was still doing somersaults, so crazy, I don't think my other babies moved that much in the womb, am hoping she's nice and placid when she comes out but am starting to worry - eek. As long as they're healthy though :)
Hope you're all having a good week.

Hi everyone,
Working from home today so just dropping in while I have my morning cuppa - then better got to work - so just a quick post!
Got by BT results and all looking good, my antinuclear antibodies have gone from high (when we had to do IVF) to low (which is clearly why we got pg) so only have to take aspirin - no heparin injections:leap:
GP wont give me a referal for a 6wk scan - argues that there is no point as if everything is not ok, a scan is not going to fix it. Not sure how I feel about that as I think I would just like to know with a little bit more certainty how things are looking, but oh well thats the medical profession for you! Now working out when to see th ob - last time I had to start seeing him from 8wks but not sure this time...
Possums - glad that you are going well and good luck with the MRI :crossfingers:
BDT - :leap: about the heart beat - great news and looks like a wonderful h&h 9 months for you and bub!
JBM - wishing you all the best for your scan :crossfingers: that it all goes well (which of course it will)
Oneday - I think I first felt a kick with DS when I was at about 18wks but I did not know what it was at the time (but to be honest it really started at about 21wks and it was then that i realised I felt a kick at 18wks) - but I remember the ob a few weeks before doing the ultrasound and seeing DS kick me and saying 'didnt you feel that, what about that?' and I was just looking at him blankly thinking I'm not feeling a thing! It is a stress but once it happens it is wonderful (if not slightly annoying after a while when it happens when you want to sleep!)
Mindhugs - it is distressing enought to hear about those sorts of things without knowing people who are involved either directly or through the emerg services. I hope that your BIL and his family get lots of support - no matter what someone does for a living they should never have to come across an incident like that.
Hello to everyone else - sorry for missing personals but had better do some work!
FG

it's today !
it's today
it's today
my first scan that is
and i'm working all day. bummer, but may make day go faster.:hooray::hooray::hooray:
-
farmgirl - what an insenstive sod of a doctor! it's no skin off his nose to write a bleeting referral particularly if it gives you peace of mind after everything you usually have to endure for a bubs! but great news about only needing aspirin! I know someone others here are the same... can you (or someone else) tell me why you need heparin or aspirin? we didn't only metformin for 12 weeks :) ox (ps don't feel obliged, i'm just curious on what it's for/supposed to do etc).
yayaya jbm...gee i get the feeling you *may* be excited. could be wrong tho! lol.
aimee sounds like you are having a trying week with hospital visits and pain! hope things start to get better soon!
kaybee - hope you didn't choke on your chocolate while laying down! lol you should always prop yourself up a little to help inhale chocoalte ;)
Well 35 weeks! just saw the midwife and all is swell. bub is still head down and i'm carrying quite low (as i did with ds). DH hope tomorrow and it can't be soon enough as i'm just so exhausted with DS atm. He's not being overly naughty (he is 17 mnths old tho lol) he's just very very busy and inquisitive and demanding!
off for a nanna nap while he's down for a nap :)
can't wait for news from possums and jbm!
possums - hope it went well sweetie!!! oxox
-
Good luck JBM! Can't wait to hear if there is one or two in there, on the edge of my seat.
Farmgirl, great news re no injections.
Hi everyone else. AFM...
HELP!!!
I had bad AF type pains this morning, and I started bleeding about 9am. Started off brownish, but now is normal AF red. Lots of cramps, I have taken two panadol and have a tampon in (sorry for TMI) as I could not stand the trickle, sitting at work wondering what is happening and is it all over. I can't really tell how much bleeding, it looks like a lot but I wouldn't say a mini tampon full (again sorry for TMI). Oh my God. I am only 6+1. I guess nothing to do but wait and see, I will see if I can get in to see OB tomorrow if he thinks it is worth it. I know they say that bleeding is common, but I have always heard it is the brown blood that is common, not the fresh red stuff. I am guttered. Sorry again for the me post :(
-
BDT- oh huge hugs to you, you must be so anxious right now... we all have heard stories of people having red blood and all being ok, so I really hope that's the case for you. thinking of you- I would want to get in and have a scan asap just to see.
grub- wow 35 weeks!!! no wonder you are feeling tired, hope you can get some time out
aimee- sounds like you have had a pretty rough time of it over the past week- glad you got to see your baby again though and hope all settles down
JBM- cant wait to hear your results!
FG- great news about your results and no heparin!! I thinkyour GP could have been a bit more understanding of your history also, but I know how they can be
MH- sometimes the news and things that happen around us is just so depressing..hope your BIL is ok
kaybee- hope you can get some rest, thinking of you
afm- thanks for checking on me... all has showed up clear from the MRI thank goodness!! so just one of those preggo things...I can put up with that, knowing that my health is ok!
-
BDT i know its hard to do but try not stress untill you know for sure, are you booked in for a 7 week scan? Be positive and lets just hope its nothing xxxxx
JBM how did you go today? one or two?
AFM- Its the big day tomorrow, so so excited but aso a bit nervous!! will try get on tomorrow night to let you know if its a boy or girl :) Scan isnt till 5 so will be a long day at work.
Farm girl thanks for that, well thats a bit like me felt heaps of movement sat and monday but not really anything significant today or yesterday, trying to stop my self from stressing out about why i havnt felt anything for a few days! But im sure all is good!
-
baby dreamtime - i'm so sorry and i hope all is ok , its horrible waiting to see what happens, i have had some late implantation bleeding before, thinking of you......
possums - glad all went ok with your mri, hope the throbbing ends soon though, must drive you crazy
jbm - hope today went well, you're keeping us in suspense!
oneday - yay for scan tomorrow, so excited to find out if bub is behaving, but hope all is well with everything.
farmgirl - how annoying - even my friends who don't have any history of problems usually still get an early scan - called a dating scan i think - will you go and ask a different gp for one?
grub - yay for nana naps, not long to go now exciting!!!
afm - i did end up telling my DD's about the baby on the weekend, it has been good, they have been much more gentle around my stomach and felt baby kick this morning, I'm just glad they aren't old enough to ask me ay tricky questions about how the baby comes out - but i'm c-section anyway.
here comes my paranoia for today - a friend of mine thinks her DD might have parvovirus, but we haven't seen her since last thursday, still I think I might go to the gp for a quickie blood test tomorrow - eek I think I'll just hibernate for the next 13 weeks - we seem to get sick every time we go anywhere or see anyone.
Hi to everyone else
-
Possums - good news!!!
BDT - I filled a pad's worth full of fresh red stuff around the 11 week mark. And that was it. All stopped. I agree with everyone, don't panic until you know for sure.
Gotta run, but thinking of you all :grouphug:
-
BDT GBH's and try not to stress as the girls have said to you know for sure.
I'm really tired not sleeping well, which means I am vomiting again. Sorry just really tired. Have read everything, hope your all going well

CONGRATS jbm!!!!oxox that's great news!!!:)
-
Yay!!! Congrats JBM thats excellent news!!!!
-
Big Contrats JBM! That is wonderful news, I am so happy for you.
AFM, sadly scan today confirmed miscarriage, I assumed as much as heavy bleeding and pain all night. I am numb, this is twice in two months, a lot to take and don't really know what to think, trying not to think I guess. I think the worst is that this was to be my big amazing miracle, one I don't think I can do again, so will have to think about our last frosty maybe in a few months.
So am bowing out and will leave you lovely ladies, wishing you all the best for your pregnancies and joy with your babies, thanks so much for your support. Luv xx
-
BDT I am so so sorry. This must be so hard for you and I hope you are doing ok
JBM - congrats on a good scan!
-
BDT- my heart sank when I read your post, I am so so sorry and I feel so much for you- it certainly is a lot to take and life simply is not fair. Just take some time to deal with this and look after yourself and then think about the next step. I am so sorry for your loss and the emotional rollercoaster you have been on.
JBM- good news! glad you are excited :-)
