:loveshower: Yay Yogi I have been thinking about you. So pleased to hear that your bub is doing well. Uteruses come in all shapes and sizes and there is no reason to think that if you do have an bicornuate uterus that it means it's all doom. IKWYM about the doc coming in, though, that nearly always happens to me!
Hope all goes well with your scan Saffy.
Lots of :confetti: happiness for everyone else.

Hey Saffy, thank you  sorry i didn't reply sooner to your message, after that first scan i've just been laying low... and praying! Yeah i am really surprised by my 'unusual shaped uterus' given that i've been doing ivf for 5 years now, had soooo many scans from 3 different FS's and gynaecologists, had 3 D&c's, had 1 laparoscopy and 2 hysteroscopies....not once did they say i had a bicornuate uterus! So am hoping its just a funny shape from the scan, maybe my full bladder was affecting it...who knows, i will ask my doctors about it.
I am really hoping that the immune therapy is making all the difference this time, i actually went into hospital again on sunday for another Intralipid infusion. I was feeling a bit negative after the first scan and undecided whether to go in for it but now really glad i did as hopefully the extra boost now will see bub over the line :crossfingers:
Is your scan tomorrow? Cant wait to hear your happy news too! :crossfingers: How are your feeling about it? I always find them pretty nerve-wracking!...hope you can stay cool & calm.
Thanks too dreamrise. Not long for you now, how exciting! Wishing you all the very best xxx

:confetti:Yay Yogi!:confetti:
So glad to hear everything is looking good for you :) It seems pretty strange that no-one would have noticed that before? Hope you're now feeling confident enough to join us full time in here!
Saffy - I'm sure everything will be great tomorrow :)
mhb - Hope you get good results next week :) Enjoy your extra week off when it comes!

Hi everyone,
Anyone know any ways to encourage bub to face the world? I know our midwife who took the antinatal classes said there were 3 hot things which could help - hot sex (impossible since I'm single), hot chilli (I hate any "hot" food) and hot baths (well I'm sitting in a hot bath right now). Any other suggestions?
I have applied for a job (actually the same one I left 4 years ago due to a change in my circumstances but with a new bub it would suit me well). I had a tour of the school today and they hope to interview next Monday or Tuesday. It is only 12 hours a week so ideal in that way but they want someone to start ASAP. The principal did say they are willing to negoiate at little but I get the idea that 3 weeks is probably the max they would wait. My mum has said she will come up to baby sit for a few weeks if needed since formal childcare isn't available until bub is 6 weeks old. The problem is if bub doesn't come soon then I will have no chance as they won't wait forever and if bub is 2 weeks late I don't think my mum would be happy to babysit a 1 week old 2 days a week.
Anyway they are short-listing for the interviews this weekend.
Come on baby it's time to come... even if I am still struggling with a first name... I think part of that is because I want/need confirmation of what sex you are. Pleassssseeeee

Bub due in 3 days.

yogi - congrats and am happy you are here! I have a retroverted uterus which means it is backwards and leans towards my spine and I have never had any troubles with it during pregnancy other than the shape of my belly isnt that big as bub is tucked far back into my abdomen, so don't stress!
dreamrise - I can't help you there but wish you all the luck in the world she/he comes by the weekend!
AFM: I am stressing about my upcoming scan in 4 weeks where I will be 34 weeks, I have to have it to check my placenta as it was only 1cm off my cervix at my 20 weeks scan so fingers crossed it has moved so I can have a nice birth and not be on bed rest with a 2 year old!

yogi: welcome and lots of good preg vibes for you. XOXO

Hi girls, needing a miracle here- my scan was mesuring a week behind and the HB was low ( looked around 90 but he didn't say what it was), going back in a week but FS gave me a 5% chance of it being ok, not what I wanted to hear obviously. Can't believe it, I was so nervous beforehand and now i know why. I just feel so numb, I was so thrilled when he said he saw a HB, then it all fell in a heap after that, DH is shattered too.

Oh Saffy, i'm sorry you are going through this...this is exactly what happened to me last week!!! Please try and keep the faith, but i know how hard it is.
Sometimes i wonder if that particular scan on that particular day makes measurements not easy to get, also i think sometimes bub gets a growth spurt and can catch up. Can you get some bt's done? i had a few more over a few days to see if they were still on track.
I know just how you are feeling Saffy and it is so hard, on one hand you want to prepare yourself for the worst but then you want to remain positive for your little bub and pray all will be fine. I've been there many times, sending you all my love and support...will be keeping everything crossed that all will be fine next week :hug:
xxx
Just wanted to add: i did heaps of googling over the week and at around 6 weeks normal heartrate is between 90-110 and goes up from there. Mine was only in 90's too and measuring just under 6 weeks, so it sounds normal for this stage. Honestly I was so shocked yesterday to see the growth in just a week so fingers crossed all will be ok for you too. I have heard that this can happen and be all normal so please hang in there hun....thinking of you xxx

Saffy there are no words to make you feel better! I remember how scared i was going for that first scan and prepared my self everytime that something was going to be wrong (even still now a bit) because failure is all us IVF ladies know or knew for a long time. It must be so extremely hard for you and your DH to stay positive but its your little beans best chance of fighting strong! Yogi bear seems to know just what your going through and from her story miracles do happen! My thoughts are with you Saffy and i will be waiting for some good news which you deserve xxxxxxxxx

Saffy I'm so sorry you didn't have good news today  Thinking of you x

Saffy,
Will keep my fingers crossed for you. It's disappointing your FS couldn't give you more hope / positive vibes. I had 2 major bleeds 12 hours apart when I was 7.5 weeks preg and was told by hospital emergency department doctor I had lost the baby. However when I saw my FS the next day he was much more positive and told me not to think the worse because he had previous patients experience a similar thing at that stage of the pregnancy and still end up with a healthy bub. He did a scan and bub was still there and had a heartbeat. I was so relieved but also angry that the hospital had told me I had no hope. I was told the next 5 days were high risk but bub was a fighter and here I am officially due in 2 days.
Hopefully your little one is a fighter too. I know how hard it is to hold onto hope because part of you wants to prepare yourself for the worst so you will hopefully cope if it happens... so we'll hold onto hope for you and send you lots of sticky vibes.
Best wishes
Lori

Hi everyone,
Well my due date was yesterday and no action but last night between 3am and around 5.20am I had regular pains... kinda like mild contractions with an obvious peak (I watched the clock and they were between 15 to 12 minutes apart) and I was hopeful it was the start of labour but then it suddenly stopped. Then just as I was about to leave to go to my midwife appointment this morning I had some watery brown bleeding. When I had my appointment the midwife confirmed that they believe it was a "show" and I was told I will therefore most likely go into labour in the next few days but if not then I have an ultrasound booked for friday and at the appointment after that they will discuss my options regarding being induced etc.

Hey everyone. Hope all is well in here.
Just a quickie from me :)
We welcomed Cameron Nash into the world on Wed. 17th August at 10am weighing only 2.6kgs and measuring 48cms. All is going well, apart from a bad case of gastro he is suffering from.....................so horrible to see your precious new little one in pain.
I'm soooooooooo in love with my little man!!!!
Sorry I don't have any time to do personals. I'm so exhausted and running on little sleep and fighting blocked milk ducts - ouch!!! Will pop back another time.
Hugs to all you beautiful ladies xxxxxxxx
-
Congratulations mindhugs! Hope Cameron is feeling all better very soon!
Dreamrise - sounds like things are happening :) Will be keeping an eye out for your BA
JBM - Sounds like it's time to go shopping! At least you'll already have an idea of what you will and won't need - there are just too many options out there!
Saffy - how are you going?
Hi mhb, oneday, and yogi :) Have I missed anyone? Hope not!
