Congrats Joy!
Afternoon ladies!
Terry, glad the bleeding has stopped. Not long now till your scan :) Very restrained of you and DH to to find out, I'm so impatient I just couldn't help myself, even after they guessed DS1 wrong at his 20 week scan.
Maruschke, don't apologise for the 'whine', much better to talk about how you're feeling rather than bottling it up and exploding xx Has your gp suggested any additional scans to check on bub? I hope you're managing to find some 'you' time to do something you enjoy, being pregnant is tough enough without another child to run after or AND. Are you on any meds for it?
Coral, yay for one more week of work, with it o lt being a three day week I'm sure it will fly by! Have fun shopping, I must admit I was rather unglamourous at hospital, it was track suit pants and nursing tops the whole time  And this time I'll be there for such a short time (haven't even thought about it yet!) that I'll probably just wear the same!
Loops, glad you're enjoying your last few weeks, the countdown is well and truly on now! I hope for your sake bub isn't late - DS was late andi was so frustrated and emotional about it. I think I've learnt my lesson this time - babies come when they're ready and not before!!!
Janie, yay for a great scan result! Such a relief to get that first one outof the way. Have you started telling people yet? And how awesome that DD's childcare serve a light dinner! DS always has a hot lunch so I am slightly more relaxed about dinner on those days, but the guilt never quite leaves ;)
Joy - big congrats and welcome :) glad your scan went well, hopefully you can relax into this pregnancy and start enjoying it!
AFM, all going well. Had a midwife appointment on Friday and my belly is measuring a few cms ahead but she said that's perfectly normal (was glad to hear it though, I was sure I was measuring bigger than I was with DS at this stage and I was right!) I also received a copy of my medical notes from my labour with DS - it's been an interesting read and I've learnt a few things I didn't know. I'm going to ask my aunt (she's a nurse) to go over the notes with me just to ensure I'm reading it correctly.
As for travelling away overnight (thanks for asking Coral!), I'm both excited and nervous. It will be great to spend time in Melbourne catching up with old friends (DH and I lived there for a couple of years) but I'll miss DS. I'm sure he'll be fine but if he wakes at night he doesn't let DH comfort him, so not too sure how that would go. I know he has to get used to DH comforting him at night before this baby arrives, but I think because I nursed him for so long (well 18 months) he's just always had me and there was no real need for DH to do much in the middle of the night, so even now at 21 months if he wakes he just wants me. BUT, there's a chance I may have to stay away for two nights and that does stress me...
Anyway, hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. I think DS has conjunctivitis so looks like i'll be spending the afternoon at a medical centre waiting for a prescription for eye ointment!
Belly rubs to all xx
Hey Ladies,
Just a really quick one from me to say hi :hello: as flat out at work training my replacement.... so excited to have only today and Thursday to go!
Will do some personals later but Whoo Hoo  Joy (I got your PM and will post you back when I get a minute) :), xoxo
Hi ladies
Coral yeah for finishing work...I so cant wait for that day. Hopefully now that you are at home you have some time to relax a little and sort out all the baby issues that were stressing you out.
Loops I cant believe that any day now we will be seeing your birth announcement
Lise hope your work trip went ok and DS was ok
Maruschke hope your feeling better about things and don't apologise for a whinge we understand better than anyone the anxiety etc that your feeling and after everything we go through to conceive we just want a bit of a normal ride
Joy welcome to the group
Janie great to hear that your results were so good...it sure is a relief when all the results come back with great numbers especially when we are a bit older.
AFM nothing exciting to report just dying to get to next Wednesday when I have my 20 week scan and get to see my little one again. I feel that once that is over and everything is ok I will start enjoying my journey even more. DH is waiting till after the scan and then he will start to organise the room and we can go out and buy the few bits and pieces we need. I've been lucky to be given the cot, change table and pram by my brother & SIL so really only need car seat mattress and bassinet for now
Hi Lovely ladies
Hope everyone is well and enjoying their pregnancies without too much anxiety!
Joy ~ good to see you in this thread, hope everything continues to go well, FX'd.
AFM ~ I lost my mucous plug Tuesday but trying not to get too excited as I know it can still take a few weeks after to go into labour. Still, not long now ... I'm super excited!
Best wishes to all :bellyrubs:
Afternoon Ladies :hello:,
Just another quick one from me (sorry) as need to utilse the time whilst DS is asleep :).
Loops OMG :o that is so exciting!!!!! With DS I lost my mucous plug in the morning (bout 8am) and then went into labour that night so could be any minute now - yay :dance:!!
Are you excited? anxious? I will be stalking the thread so keep us posted (unless you have already had bubs, he,he!).
terry - Only 3 mopre sleeps until your 20 week scan - yay! Bet you are excited and nervous all at once... were you finding out the gender (sorry if you have already advised... baby brain has really kicked in for me now!).
lise - Oh no! Not conjunctivitis - that is an annoying one :(. Hope DS is on the mend. I can understand your aphrension at leaving DS for the night or maybe two, especially seeing as how you have been the one to comfort him during night wake ups. Just think, it will be good practice for DH as when bub comes you are right.... it will be all DH's job! What date is the big trip? I am waayyyy.. bigger this time round with DD so am glad it is not just me. I have such a complex as people keep saying how 'huge' I am... and I always think - gee thanks for that I feel super now.
Joy - How are you going? Hope you have settled in nicely and I am just so stoked that you have had your 12w scan and all was good with bubs . Ha, can't believe your due date is the 31st of October! Are you still getting the morning sickness?
Janie71 - Hope you have managed to shake those colds... not nice when you are pregnant and can't take anything. Fantastic news about the NT scan results... it is such a relief to hear a good number :D.
I swear I just posted yesterday, how is it over one week already?!
Terry, so close to your scan now, so exciting! Are you going to find out the sex? DH and I were the same about buying things, didn't buy anything other than a few clothes until after the scan, and it was so much fun ordering everything together! Spent an absolute fortune when we did but it was so lovely to finally relax (well as much as a LTTTCer can) into the pregnancy and buy things.
Loops, I didn't really ever lose my plug, had a couple of pink smears but that was it. Very exciting times! I'll be stalking for sure to hear your news :) is someone announcing for you or do we have to wait until you can get onto BB?!
Coral, yay for no more work! I can't wait to finish up, 23 work days to go including some travel, so I'm hoping they'll go quickly. Hope you're enjoying some resting time - is DS still at childcare?
Well I've had a pretty crap week, DS not only had conjunctivitis but also his THIRD ear infection in two months, plus a nasty throat. Needless to say he wasn't very happy, and either was I when he passed his illness onto me. I've had a sinus infection which is only just now starting to ease. Tried to avoid the antibiotics but after one week of pain I just had to take them. And now DH is ill too so the whole house is in need of some good health soon. I'm starting to worry aout all the bugs DS will bring home from childcare, number two baby has no chance of staying healthy. As I type this I can hear DS and DH coughing away, as I am too...
As for travel, looks like I won't be away overnight now so kind of glad but also kind of disappointed i'll miss out on catching up with some of my Melbourne peeps. Oh well, I can't expect work to fund my coach ups I suppose, lol. It does mean though I'll have two separate trips, one to Sydney and then one to Melbourne but if it's just for the day I can handle it. Funny thing though - last time I flew I couldn't put the tray table down because my belly was in the way so itll only be worse this time ;)
Hope everyone is travelling along nicely, belly rubs to all xx
Poking my nose in to say I got my BFP today, so finally get to join you lovelies!!
Wonderful news Saffy! Congratulations!
Janie xxx
Yay Saffy!!! that is fantastic!!
sent via my vortex manipulator!
Congratulations Saffy that's great news and it's always nice to welcome another LTTTC to the thread
Coral hope you are enjoying some of your time off before bub comes along
Lise hope things at home have settled down
AFM had my scan last week and Coral no I didn't cave and find out so little bub is still a surprise. Everything looks fine so I can now breathe a sigh of relief and start enjoying my journey. I will be having another scan at 34 weeks to measure bubs as he/she is measuring quite large. If the baby continues to measure large then I might have to think of having a C-section as I may be at risk of causing my insides all sorts of damage. My mum had the same issues with my brother and was quite ill for about 6 months after his birth. So I guess I may have one more decision to make down the track.
Hi Ladies
WELL - I'm finally on here. I'm so sorry but we had a little girl on Tuesday 1st May at 1.47am. I'm hopeless on the mobile and we've been so busy that this is the 1st moment I've been able to put anything on here.
Our daughter Mylee Therese is just beautiful and weighed 7lb 2oz, 48cm. Waters broke at 5.15pm and we went back into the hospital at approx 12pm and I had her by 1.47am - completely pain relief free and just a small tear. So our calm (hypno) birthing worked - it was amazing, I even got to touch her head as she was coming out, and she took to the breast straight away :) We are home now and trying to settle into a routine but mostly she is sleeping and feeding well.
Good luck to those still waiting. Will try and get back on here soon but life very busy as you'd understand. All the best ladies xo
LOOPS- :hooray::happyforyou::hooray:

:happyforyou: Congratulations Loops - So happy for you :happyforyou:!!!!
Saffy - such good news also hun .
Welcome to the thread - yay!!!!
Well ladies..... I also have some news to share!
We were very surprised to welcome our darling little angel, Kayla, into the world on Sunday, 6 May 2012 at 4:35pm weighing in at 3.73kg (8.3lbs) and 50cms long.
My waters ruptured at 9:30pm on Saturday night (exactally 3 weeks early) and I also opted for no epidural this time although could not get enough gas and demanded a pethadine shot which I could not have gotten soon enough, lol !
DH and I feel so blessed that our family is now complete and she is just so, so beautiful that I can not stop staring at her. It is amazing... she is the spitting image of her DB when he was born :). We arrived home this morning (a day early) as I was missing my DS & DH too much).
We love :inlove: her so much already and I can't wait to properly introduce DS to her this afternoon, xoxo.
Congrats Loops :D and Mylee is a beautiful name :D.
